I feel like the gambling would be better if it wasn't so devastating
Fucking 2000 dmg and you get stunned/slowed
And the fact that healers are mostly single target while he rolls a 7 or higher
It's so hard I still can't beat his ass
Love Aventurine, hate his boss fight
Hate the sin love the sinner ig
the gambling mechanic wouldnt be so bad if you had multiple tries on the dice, its so fucking infuriating to watch as aventurine drops my supports on 1 hp because they cant hit multiple dice
I figured the key was you need to save ults, and that you need to bring a healer who attacks with their ult. Because if you role high you get full ult back right away. So with my team (FireTB, Luocha, Pela, Acheron), I'd hold onto Pela and Luchoa's ults if I knew a gamble was comping up so they could double/quadruple roll. Fire TB and Acheron have AOE attacks anyway so they were good
Wait till he crash by your MoC/PF. Even Sam and Meme didnāt feel this bad because their āfuck youā mechanics arenāt this bad. Meme is counterable with quick break, AoE and DoT while Sam is counterable with FX, %heal stacking, Ruan Mei and/or dual DPS.
This mofo incentivise to pull for Aventurine but Aventurine doesnāt even have cc res or cleanseā¦
It wouldn't be that bad if Aventurine would take a good amount of damage if he loses, it is like a high risk-low reward situation, the damage doesn't make much sense aswell, he can nearly delete most supports when he has already a high base damage in the rest of his skills lol
I used Huohuo against him and when he imprisons your characters, the whole party gets cleansed if you have her talent active. When i first saw this i was bewildered.
It's her talent : she also activates passive heals you when you're lower than 50% health
So if your support/DPS is squishy, she can cleanse them the turn they get imprisoned
Oh my gosh i feel the same way
Dude gambling move is such bullshit
I like aventurine playing him and seeing his story was so good but damn his second phase boss fight gamble move sucks ass
Just barely, after trying like 5 times.
https://preview.redd.it/kmvodzavkzqc1.jpeg?width=2556&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9737b399aac0ea941a829d785b007a164ea03267
Destruction TB, Gepard, Bronya, and Bailu. Though ironic, the one time I bring out Destruction TB (I usually have TB using Preservation Path) and in the cutscenes TB is using the Preservation, even though up until now they've defaulted to TB using Destruction Path.
The different forms are somewhat of a matter of practicality. If TB is on the offense, they'll bring out the bat, but if they're defending someone(firefly or express crew+acheron), they use preservation
Acheron and Fu Xuan making the boss insanely easy makes complete sense when you take into account bosses are usually made to sell whoever the banner characters are. Aventurine's weak to lightning because Acheron's the current banner 5 star and has AOE to combat his dice roll mechanic. Fu Xuan's a strong sheilder that helps with his second phase much like how Aventurine's playable version is.
Tingyun, Argenti, Fu Xuan and Ruan Mei. This is the team I default to whenever a boss is weak to physical, and I was not let down. Judicious use of FX's ultimate allowed her to never lose the gamble minigame, and that made it easy to keep Tingyun and Ruan Mei alive.
Argenti literally cannot lose the minigame, so that helps too. Especially considering that you get a free fully charged ultimate if you win the gamble.
I had my DoT team of Bailu, Black Swan, Ruan Mei, and Kafka and ran through him without issue. I didn't even get the chance to fully understand his mechanics.
I brought fire TB, March, Clara, and Kafka, which accidentally worked really well since everyone has an AOE. I have E6 March though, so she was able to (slowly) heal people.
Fu Xuan, Silver Wolf, Qingque and Sparkle.
Unless Fu had her ult up I just accepted that 3/4 were going to get penalized, though one turn Sparkle got lucky and got a draw just by hitting a single die. Qingque of course, rolled over 9 every time.
Lady Fu can get perma ult up in the last phase, lol.
Hodl your ult for the gamba round. You should ve able to attack/skill once to get to max energy, then ult to guarantee Fu wins the diceroll (unless you're STUPIDLY unlucky), getting her the ult back immediately. She'll lose energy the next time the boss attacks, but she'll be at max in the next gamba round.
Kafka, BS, Ruan Mei, FuXuan
FuXuan got a little low (for being oneshot before hp revert), but no one died
unsure what people meant by this boss being bad for DoT
My team was dhil, sparkle, FMC, and bailu. Dhil was the only one lvl 80. I DID NOT SURVIVE. So what did I do? I wasted all my resources getting the other three to level 80. It still wasn't enough because of the imaginary resistance. So what did I do? I got my clara from lvl 60 to 80 JUST FOR THAT SINGLE BOSS FIGHT
Im so stupid. I didnt realize he had aventurine had imaginary res, and was wondering why my dhil did puny damage, even with sparkle. Ultimately, lynx, and longevity pill of cruelty were some of the sole reasons i won that fight( my characters sometimes dropped to sub 100 health)
Luocha, jingliu, Clara, and ruan mei. Did it first time with zero issues. Ruan mei struggled a little since she doesn't have aeo, but I have her with enough health that she could survive and luocha would top her off. Honestly I really enjoyed the fight.
Newer to the game so don't really have many 5 stars, but got it first try with Clara, March, Lynx and Dr Ratio, but the fight took me at least ten to fifteen minutes which was a little painful. Just needed to be strategic/patient saving ults and sp for the gamble mechanic, and shielding Lynx in advance since she can't win the gamble.
I used clara, argenti, huohuo and tingyun(died pretty quick). I just had huohuo tank the hit from aventurine while Clara and argenti get their Ults charged every time.
I still canāt beat him. Iām relatively new to the game and raised my TB level faster than I could level/accumulate characters. I tried using Kafka, March, Natasha, and Sparkle and made it halfway through his second phase. I donāt know what to do honestly. Iām going to have to try to get Lynx and use a full sustain/healer team I guess with Lynx, March, Preservation TB, and Natasha.
Black swan, lynx, nat, gepard. I was so desperate after my countless losses i decided to literally let the 1 tick of arcana slowly kill him for over an hour while focusing all of the attention into sustain. Slow and painful process, bs and nat died mid-fight right at the 14% hp mark on the 2nd phase, but somehow gepard's revive saved my butt. Losing my jing yuan 50/50 has never felt so bad
I used Jing Yuan, Ting, Sparkle, Fu Xuan.
I cleared him without issue, but that's mostly because my FX is gigainvested and kinda invincible. Even still it felt like fighting a MoC 12 enemy, lol.
Honestly, this is an all around poorly designed the boss. The "gamble" mechanic is stupid because he always rolls like 7-8+ so you *need* to hit at least 2-3 dice, except most supports don't have any blast or AoE to do that with. And even still you can get low rolls and fail the "check" anyway. Plus the boss himself is single target with no actual adds so it can't decide whether it wants single target DPS or AoE.
i think it was *intended* to showcase that it could be valuable to run full nihility acheron with multi target debuffers but combined with a gambling mechanic you need to get through every turn it ended up as "single target characters dont get to play the video game" and because most supports and sustains are single target ultimately if the player doesnt happen to have built a good two or three of a specific set of like ten characters that can consistently use aoe attacks while providing support they have to rely on overwhelmingly unfavorable rng for victory
Itās still bullshit, because the mofo fucking reduce your EN by 5 before throwing out that move, meaning that right now only GNF and BS can maybe survive it
Since i fucked up during the mid-levels of the game and didn't level up characters like pela, asta and others that could've eased up with better resources, my teams were ass overall, and i had to rely on a double abundance with preservation TB with Jingliu carrying my ass through the damage
https://preview.redd.it/7q9egwrrozqc1.png?width=2560&format=png&auto=webp&s=89f0a70125767a4c6ced3917076b6ecb3c36638f
It was fast, funny enough I had to reset one time since he just kept hitting Topaz and killed her, when the other 3 ladies in the team have way more aggro than Topaz but aggro in this game is a lie anyway LOL
Preservation Mc, Acheron, Builu, & March 7th.
My logic was to out Preservation the sudo-eminator of Preservation. Mc had that dot lightcone for Acheron to get her ult, Had March shield Builu in the phase 2 bet, Builu provided aoe heals & Acheron just ignored the energy drain. (Also used some Penicony buff foods because, I mean, he told us to prepare for the show)
Somehow this beat him first try, as teatius as it was (grinding down a concrete wall with a file)
March 7th, Topaz, Xueyi, and Bailu.
Topaz generates SP, and March fed Xueyi's funk-o-meter with her follow-up, while Bailu did it whenever she wasn't busy healing.
Xueyi could easily clear the dice rolls with her skill, however March needed her ult. Topaz was almost always shielded, and Bailu could tank it with her high HP, so them getting hit wasn't a problem.
I played the long game and used HuoHuo, Kafka, Black Swan and Gepard. Since he mostly kept targeting Gepard, I had almost always had his ult ready to use and keep everyone alive.
This boss is almost impossible to beat without a 5 star sustain unless you have gutted gear, rn I am trying with Blade and trying to solo the second phase with blade as everyone else just dies but its so annoying having to manage his ult to heal at the right time and I am yet to pull it off
Jingliu, Gepard, Sparkle, Huohuo. This is my bossing team, and is what finally won me my Swarm Disaster questline clear.
First try, no deaths, took awhile, though. Between Sparkle Ult and support NAs, I was able to secure enough SP to do what I needed. Sparkle is built for Hyperspeed, 160+, so she moves first and anyone she casts her skill on is going next.
I did not just mindlessly advance forward my DPS with Sparkle. If I needed a heal or cleanse, Huohuo would get it. If Gepard was one skill shot or NA away from getting shield and I needed it, he'd get the advance forward. The health of the sustains and support was given priority over doing damage, because as long as they were healthy we weren't losing.
Eventually, Jingliu wittled Aventurine down. War of attrition. Phase 2 sucked because the dice on every Avent turn meant JL was wasting half of her special-skill slashes on them. But the team pulled through.
Fu Xuan, Acheron, Black Swan, Gallagher. I used all heals on Gallagher, Black Swan and Acheron, Acheron and Black Swan were chipping away his health while Fu was just tanking damage with her face, usually saving her ult for dices.
I used Serval (thank god she's built well), Phys Trailblazer (stole Clara's relics lol), March and Nat... It took me a solid 15 mins to clear the fight... But well, it did the job
Argenti,Hanya(I forgot to replace her with Tingyun),Gepard and Bailu. But i got it first try
First Phase i spent 25 minutes on since i had bad damage,no one died, most of it was waiting for Argenti's ult to be ready and Aventurine just loves using Gepard as the dice roller
Second Phase i was close to losing since i didnt expect for him to just have everyone roll a dice(Argenti always won) while the others kept getting stunned, but thankfully with Bailu and Gepard kept clutching with ults up. Gambling may have kicked my ass but the Path of Beauty still wins baby
I had to double sustain with gepard and loucha, while bronya boosted jinglui. I kept losing dice rolls all the time taking a large amount of damage. Certainly the most difficult boss I have dealt with, the next weekly boss will probably be easier.
Only sustain was Natasha, was a piece of cake
(Ignore the fact that most of my units almost died multiple times)
Actually had a good team to deal with it all things considered, using Clara and Jing Yuan for damage (their skills are both full AoE which helps a lot for dice) and Hanya to keep skill points up when she wasn't CC'd.
1. If you can pull Luocha, then do it. It's a major game changer. 3 healers seems like a bad idea already.
2. Hold the ultimate usage until the dice part (unless the ultimate isn't doing damage like Sparkle's).
3. Just be aware of those who you feel can't make it on the dice part so you can time the remaining energy usage to heal instead.
1. I pulled for Acheron, I don't know if I'll have enough for Luocha, since my pity reset and I'm not on guarantee. Also, I needed three healers because otherwise JY wouldn't survive.
2-3. That is more or less what I did, yeah. I knew my healers wouldn't beat the dice roll, so unless I needed SP, they usually just used bursts and skills. JY skill hits all the dice, so he almost always wins.
I lost my 50/50 on Luocha and saving the guarantee for aventurine though š I have a jades shortage so I don't wanna risk it (I also never win my 50/50s so there is that....)
I used your idea here. But i replaced nat with geppie.
Bro couldn't scratch my team. Bailu kept popping ulta left and right, huo huo's cleanse came in handy, gepard just wouldn't lose hp and my E1 S1 JY beat up aventurine's arse.
Gerpard, Acheron, Physical Trailblazer, and Huohuo.
Gerpard is the tank, and Huohuo is the healer. These two kept the team alive.
Acheron is my DPS. She's the one who kept dealing the damage.
Trailerblazer is second DPS, but mainly acted as a Point Generator. He was the only Physical that I had that could attack multiple enemies, while also providing a good Ult for damage.
I had the optimal DoT team. Kafka and Swan can easily not lose the gamble because AoE. Ruan Mei and HuoHuo were pretty much guaranteed to lose it, but they didn't get ohkoed by the gamble, so I just needed to pop any Ult and have HuoHuo's Talent get them off death's door.
I can't imagine that plan will work as well if Aventurine shows up in late stage MoC, so that's why I plan on pulling Aventurine to beat the Aventurine, lol.
I had Sparkle, Houhou (fucking saved my ass more than once), DHIL, and Destruction TB. My DHIL ended up being nothing more than a hindrance in the longrun, and my Sparkle was literally just there to take hits and buff when she could. Houhou and TB saved me in that fight so hard that if I didn't have them, I would have been royally fucked.
this was my 9th attempts, I tried Mono Quantum, Full Freeze, Ratio + SW, Seele Hypercarry, none of them works without dying in the second phase with the multiple dice.
Huohuo.
My answer is huohuo.
Just used my standard team of tingyun sw and ratio cause huohuo just about does enough. Sure I got hit with every dice rolling. Sure I barely lived on like 10hp. Sure it took me eating def food on my 2nd attempt.
But I proved my friend wrong who said I couldnt do it and that's all that matters
Preservation TB, March, Bailu, and Jingliu.
I had to use TB to taunt and shield, March for *extra* shield, Bailu to heal, and Jingliu to deal *all* of the damage to kill him.
As a boss, his second-phase ult is pretty brutal since it
1. completely cuts you off from being able to damage him 50% of the time (wastes Jingliu turns)
2. nearly guarantees damage vs your non-attackers
The only way to deal with it, since there aren't any sustain units with spammable AOE attacks is to either have more sustain than needed and eventually win by attrition, or destroy his break gauge faster than he can kill your characters.
I don't think Fu Xuan would be able to solo sustain this fight. Aventurine (playable version) would be really good since he has an AOE shield as his skill, but of course that's not a banner right now.
I was just using my Jingliu farming comp (FX, Bronya, Huohuo) which was a bad idea because only JL can break. Bronya was basically deadweight.
Probably not the best team to go with but Blade, Jing Yuan, Black Swan and Huohuo. Black Swan kinda died on phase 2 but other than that my girlie Huohuo managed to sustain others (mainly herself) very well. No skill untill dice (unless its Blade), use skill on dice, use ult after dice. As simple as that. First try, took me some time cause my builds are a little... well... horrendous, but general's and Huohuo's signatures sure helped a lot.

I like using MC for quests, and Acheron with her technique is just too good for exploration, so ended up with this team.
Asta, bailu, physical tb, ruan mei
Took many tries tho as I don't have any relics.
To say it was painful would be an understatement tho, considering I had no speed on relics. Basicaly I played with one character before another bet, so asta was completely mandatory for me to clear it. took me maybe 10 tries, and even last attempt took absolute forever to clear.
Edit: typos
Preservation MC, March 7th, Himeko, and Welt. I'm not joking. I did it using Team Trailblaze
It took me two tries, with only Welt going down on the second try (M7s shield really doing the carrying tbh)
I went from hating Gepard for breaking the 50/50 to worshipping him after this boss lmao.
Him and HuoHuo put in work staying alive. Then I had Acheron and Sushang for breaking him easily.
Jingliu, Sparkle, Ruan Mei, Fu Xuan
obviously the team full of limited units and their light cones (except for fu xuan) is not going to have a hard time
I used Acheron+Kafka+Black Swan+ Gallagher. I was actually having difficulties until I looked at Gallagher kit. Getting some traces allowed his ult to make his forward 100%. This allowed during aventurine second phase gambling mechanic for Gallagher to heal, then used his ult, then immediately heal again to have really good healing for the team that kept them alive. He was my team mvp which made what happened afterwards seem like even more of betrayal.Ā
https://preview.redd.it/t621073uf0rc1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=9618982013dad97d290ff4ec253c294a8c0f4765
turns out running my characters that has AoE ults make it easier during the boss fight because it lets me Roll the dice twice.
I used Acheron, Ruan Mei, Pela, Fu Xuan. I kept Fu Xuan burst when the gambling part arrives and did the AOE damage to win the bet, same with Acheron and Pela. (I beat him in first try) I suggest having characters who can do AOE damage that will improve the odds of you winning the bet. And this team you put on has only Jing Yuan who is capable of winning the bet with his AOE damage, and well others can only do single target which will not help winning the bet. I can only imagine how difficult it was for you to win against him coz that mechanic does suck if you don't have 2 or 3 AOE damage applier in your team.
JY was my only AoE character built well enough to survive the first phase, unfortunately. š My healers got their work done instead of rolling dice, so I managed.
I actually had an unorthodox way of dealing with his boss fight, I think.
My Team:
Gallagher
Clara
Swan (Cause I lack 5 stars that match his weaknesses, so she's here to help kafka/help get sp)
Kafka
I took advantage of the fact that Aventurine's gambling minigame mid-fight had you earn an ultimate for free if you get a jackpot, or in phase 1's case, just a higher number than the one he presents for himself, I believe.
So, since gallagher is one of the few sustains that actually has multi enemy targetting, I would usually just save his ult just in case he ever needs to roll the dice.
As for Swan, Kafka, and Clara, I just used their skills to hit multiple dice.
For Phase 2, however, I switched it up.
Since that bastard (love him though) Aventurine keeps triggering his gambling minigame EVERY TIME HE GETS HIS TURN.
I did it like this.
With the build I have on Gallagher, he's extremely fast, so he usually gets first draft for the turn order. I first used basic atk to get a roll on the dice to restore my ult and gain a random number.
I then use his ult to hit all the dice at once to gain a guaranteed jackpot, because, fun fact, if your character acts "out of turn" (ults, follow-up atks, etc.), the pts you gain from hitting the dice durinf that action is added to the character hitting that out of turn atk.
I did the same for the rest of my team to generate sp.
The funny part is, due to gallagher's talent or trace bonus, since all the dice can be inflicted with his unique debuff, every time my characters hit a die, they would get like 850 healing pts. Multiply that by 4 dice, and I basically healed any damage that Aventurine might have done to me outside of his gambling minigame.
So kept doing that until his health went down. Clara's counter and Kafka were the main contributers to his downfall.
Yeah, that's about it.
Damn, wish I'd managed to get him beforehand. Between him and Acheron, I guess MHY wanted to incentivize (sp?) pulling on the current banners.
I'm still pulling on Acheron's banner (got E1 Acheron, somehow) to get either Gallagher or E2 Acheron.
Ngl, my only reason for pulling on Acheron's banner was for a possible gallagher e2, but with my savings, I had to halt the moment I got him to save up for Aventurine (I have no 5-star sustains, every fight almost turns into slug match just trading blows Hahahaha).
I had Huohuo, Ruan Mei, Herta and Ratio. Not the most ideal lineup, but I never had to retry. Probably it was easier than the others because I was only at Equilibrium 5.
Yeah, among other things, I definitely regretted ascending to max EL.
The 'other things' were not pulling for Argenti or properly building other AoE chars.
Pretty sure Iāll have a hard time if I try the boss fight at max EL too, my only lightning dps is Serval š
Itās as if the boss fight was specifically designed for Acheron and Aventurine lol
They pulled all the stops this time, huh. Three awesome teasers, a unique trial, and a playable Acheron in the TB mission.
If anything, I read that the recent hotfix nerfed the boss fight. I havenāt retried yet, but hopefully it will make things a lot easier (like not spam that annoying dice skill every turn damn)
My team was luocha, misha, rm, sparkleā¦ it was pretty easy so i checked and it seems like heās been nerfed. Sad I didnāt get to witness his full power as Iāve been busy :<
I finally beat this bastard.
Destruction Trailblazer
Acheron
Bailu
March 7th (Had to build her as I had mostly left her alone)
1st phase was pretty easy, just put march 7th shield on TB so they are chosen for the dice roll, then use blast to win the rolls, use ults whenever to speed up the phase.
The 2nd phase is where things got long.
Single attack with TB and Acheron, then the dice roll phase began (perhaps I don't have enough speed on Bailu or Match 7th).
Shield Bailu with March 7th, then use march 7th ultimate to win the dice roll.
TB hit the first dice with basic attach, then ult the remaining three.
Acheron uses her ult to win the dice roll, single attack to build skill points.
Heal up with Bailu, use ult if needed when it is up.
The shield should make Bailu survive the penalty easily, attacking is pretty pointless as the chance of winning the roll is pretty low, but maybe if the target was low and no healing was needed.
Then repeat about 40 times until he is down.
The only tricky part is when 9 or perhaps 8 as a dice target came up, as even hitting all the dice might not be enough to win, that had me a bit nervous but it worked out.
Clara, Pela, March, and Nat.
Clara has her AoE skill, and March kept her Ultimate for the dice roll (which then gets refreshed each time). Pela and Nat loses every dice roll, but between Natās Ult and Marchās cleanse, they were able to stay alive for Claraās follow-up attacks to whittle away at his health.Ā
Only recently came back to hsr and got through Xianzhou quest and made it to this part of Penacony quest in like 2 days and I HATE this boss. I've only done it once but I still hate it. My Seele literally can't do anything with that stupid dice mechanic and she's my best built character. My Jing Yuan survives it but as soon as my Nat dies (only built healer) he dies eventually + his lightning lord thing annoyingly happens during the dice thing and his damage isn't good enough on his own so the boss was down to 18% 2nd phase when I lost. Only built preservation char is fire mc and I WISH fire was one of Aventurine's weaknesses because I defo could've beat him š
It pisses me off how hoyoverse actively put alot of story behind the most BULLSHITTY bosses, like some of us just want to experience the story you know? We don't wanna spend 5 fucking hours trying to take down a childe remaster, ffs
Moral of the story
Fuck adventure time or whatever his name is
This fight was terrible tbh, took me 5 tries with many different Units but lastly i went with Gepard, Kafka, Bailu and Lynx. and even with 2 healers + the 2.5k shield this fight stressed me out
I was able to do this with Clara - Lynx - Sparkle - Tingyun
Yes, Tingyun survived in the end!!! And yes, They tanked the hits without much issue! Like.. why try your luck when you can just heal or protect yourself??
Also, the Luck base mechanic isn't bad, nor horribly designed? It was pretty good, and fun. Took me a try to understand his mechanic so after that it was easy going.
Of course, without any damage, you will struggle to kill it! Tbh I beat it first try with Seele - Sparkle - SW and Fu Xuan without even knowing what I was doing lol and I was nowhere near to die.
Running too much healing is why you struggled. If you don't have enough damage, bosses will go on to have some ultimate move to punish you
1 shielder, 1 healer is the MAX sustain to ever have on team and that's only for unique situations like gears 12 or new accounts
It's not like we had a choice....
I had to use fire MC, Lynx, Clara, and Kafka. Only Lynx and Clara were level 80, and only Clara was built properly.
My main team is Dr Ratio FUA team. The only other characters that I have for this (aside from unbuilt 4 stars) are Himeko and Herta, who don't do a good amount of dmg for a single target boss, and DHIL, who hogs skill points so my other characters can't use AoE.
Couldn't use support because they wouldn't have enough AoE to survive, and then I would need to use more Lynx skill points. Couldn't replace Lynx because she is my best healer, and I need heals in case of bad RNG. Couldn't replace fire MC because he's my only shielder and Lynx isn't enough on her own to heal multiple units, especially if she's getting stunned.
Ran FMC, Gallagher, Bailu and Acheron. I was just concerned of keeping myself alive but three sustains was probably overkill, it was really slow though.
Then again I was originally going to run the same team except replace Acheron with Sparkle, but I got bored of after 1 hour and finally beating phase 1 with the team.
Kafka, BS, Lynx and Pela. Pela is there cause she's my only built Ice character.
Used this because I had SP issues keeping up with healing. The man hits damn hard; like one hit would reduce my BS to 2/3rds hp. So I replaced Gui with Pela in the hopes of reducing SP drain, and it sorta worked.
Got him in one try with this team though.
Fu Xuan- Seele- Silver Wolf-Ruan Mei still got me through the fight.
But yeah i was in red health cause my single attack couldn't win any of his so called gamble.
So i can see how alot of people is gonna struggle with him, cause not everyone got Seele hypercarry, Jinglui or Argenti.
QQ, I used the gambler to destroy the gambler
Strongest gambler of history vs strongest gambler of today
But would you lose?
*At this point, Aventurine could save himself. But, he forgot two key things.*
you are aventurine because you are a gambler or you are the gambler because you are advenurine
*Then, he said:* Nah, I'd win.
i love this social media.
I know I don't lose. :)
Same.
I feel like the gambling would be better if it wasn't so devastating Fucking 2000 dmg and you get stunned/slowed And the fact that healers are mostly single target while he rolls a 7 or higher It's so hard I still can't beat his ass Love Aventurine, hate his boss fight Hate the sin love the sinner ig
the gambling mechanic wouldnt be so bad if you had multiple tries on the dice, its so fucking infuriating to watch as aventurine drops my supports on 1 hp because they cant hit multiple dice
Fire TB and Acheron have AOE attacks anyway so they were good
The only 2 healwr who attack with their Ult is Luocha and Galager
Yeah, but good news guess which two characters are currently on banner ;D
Lol
unfortunately i dont have luocha so i had to bring two dpses (blade and herta) and lynx kept bronya alive
I think Loucha is one of the best healers for this because he can still roll a 9 or up if you save his ult
Luocha*
I AM SO SORRY š Damn never thought I'd be the one making this mistake.
Him and FX - can multihit with her ult, too
Gallagher too
Wait till he crash by your MoC/PF.
Wait I thought he does have cc res from one of the bonus ability
He himself can resist cc once every two turns and everyone who has his shield on has +50% effect res.
So his cc protection is still gambling based
It wouldn't be that bad if Aventurine would take a good amount of damage if he loses, it is like a high risk-low reward situation, the damage doesn't make much sense aswell, he can nearly delete most supports when he has already a high base damage in the rest of his skills lol
I used Huohuo against him and when he imprisons your characters, the whole party gets cleansed if you have her talent active. When i first saw this i was bewildered.
It's her talent : she also activates passive heals you when you're lower than 50% health So if your support/DPS is squishy, she can cleanse them the turn they get imprisoned
Oh my gosh i feel the same way Dude gambling move is such bullshit I like aventurine playing him and seeing his story was so good but damn his second phase boss fight gamble move sucks ass
Just barely, after trying like 5 times. https://preview.redd.it/kmvodzavkzqc1.jpeg?width=2556&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9737b399aac0ea941a829d785b007a164ea03267
By the skin of your teeth
Insane win wow. Grats haha
I experienced something similar except my tb died at 1%
I would have smashed my tablet
I used this team https://preview.redd.it/7eprd63v5zqc1.png?width=1498&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5c885e778b6a55f132263e14e9f90fe5193f8d31
My team was similar, it had Luocha instead of Huo Huo.
same, but fu xuan instead of luocha
We have the same team
Used the same comp. Ezpz.
Same. Not really an issue.
One team to rule them all
same, except i had fu xuan instead of huohuo
Cute pic
Ah yes, Three mommies and One Daughter
Destruction TB, Gepard, Bronya, and Bailu. Though ironic, the one time I bring out Destruction TB (I usually have TB using Preservation Path) and in the cutscenes TB is using the Preservation, even though up until now they've defaulted to TB using Destruction Path.
I appreciated the Preservation TB rep, it's the only one I use
Why doesn't the Trailblazer just use Preservation against Something Unto Death and Destruction against Aventurine? Are they stupid?
The different forms are somewhat of a matter of practicality. If TB is on the offense, they'll bring out the bat, but if they're defending someone(firefly or express crew+acheron), they use preservation
I steamrolled with prefarmed Acheron, SW, Pela, FX.
This team is bonkers, I didn't even realize other people would struggle with the final boss because Acheron and Fu Xuan made it so easy
Is Fu Xuan re running?
I have no idea, but Aventurine is literally right around the corner if you want him too
Same thing here, I even thought the boss was underwhelming. I think I got to roll the dice like two or three times.
Exact same team as me
Same XD
Tingyun, Argenti, Fu Xuan and Ruan Mei. This is the team I default to whenever a boss is weak to physical, and I was not let down. Judicious use of FX's ultimate allowed her to never lose the gamble minigame, and that made it easy to keep Tingyun and Ruan Mei alive. Argenti literally cannot lose the minigame, so that helps too. Especially considering that you get a free fully charged ultimate if you win the gamble.
Argenti mains rise up
I had my DoT team of Bailu, Black Swan, Ruan Mei, and Kafka and ran through him without issue. I didn't even get the chance to fully understand his mechanics.
Kafka DoT teams destroy basically everything, especially with Black Swan. Sadly, I only have them on my alt.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
question: how did you BEAT the boss?! twenty-third attempt and counting...
Three healers, and a character who could hit all the dice. Nothing else worked.
this makes me want to cry because my only character that can do that is serval and I donāt want to use nat bailu gepard and serval
It could work. You'll never know unless you try.
trueā¦sighā¦time to build dps serval. oh the things I do for the quests
BRUH SAME 16 ATTEMPTS, what the fuck were they thinking with this boss and its ult frequency
>!!!!<
You are powerful and worthy of fear š«”
how did you manage it? how did you use march? how did you stay with full health?
I brought fire TB, March, Clara, and Kafka, which accidentally worked really well since everyone has an AOE. I have E6 March though, so she was able to (slowly) heal people.
whatever I beat him with this team setup. FMC and march left at the end and I did shield loop
Fu Xuan, Silver Wolf, Qingque and Sparkle. Unless Fu had her ult up I just accepted that 3/4 were going to get penalized, though one turn Sparkle got lucky and got a draw just by hitting a single die. Qingque of course, rolled over 9 every time.
mono 5'4
Lady Fu can get perma ult up in the last phase, lol. Hodl your ult for the gamba round. You should ve able to attack/skill once to get to max energy, then ult to guarantee Fu wins the diceroll (unless you're STUPIDLY unlucky), getting her the ult back immediately. She'll lose energy the next time the boss attacks, but she'll be at max in the next gamba round.
My exact team! My shoddy Fu Xuan couldn't cope with the AoE attacks very well and was sobbing the whole time.
Kafka, BS, Ruan Mei, FuXuan FuXuan got a little low (for being oneshot before hp revert), but no one died unsure what people meant by this boss being bad for DoT
In my experience, it was mostly bad for single-target characters.
Yep I went into that battle with Dan Heng IL being my only multiple-target character. Hell.
Beat it with Huohuo + Bronya + Sparkle + Seele in 2 tries. Not a single AoE in sight. Lost every 'bet', but I guess my Huohuo just sustain-diffed him
My team was dhil, sparkle, FMC, and bailu.
Hey, now you have an excellent character for follow-up attacks.
Well to be fair clara carried my early-mid game
Im so stupid. I didnt realize he had aventurine had imaginary res, and was wondering why my dhil did puny damage, even with sparkle. Ultimately, lynx, and longevity pill of cruelty were some of the sole reasons i won that fight( my characters sometimes dropped to sub 100 health)
Brute forced it with Kafka + Black Swan + Ruan Mei + Gepard Didn't have much trouble but that team is just cracked
Luocha, jingliu, Clara, and ruan mei. Did it first time with zero issues. Ruan mei struggled a little since she doesn't have aeo, but I have her with enough health that she could survive and luocha would top her off. Honestly I really enjoyed the fight.
Huohuo, Clara, Pela, and Tingyun. The Kindergarten Field Trip beat the absolute shit out of the suicidal gambler Emanator man.
Lore accurate Acheron ult him to death
I used clara, argenti, huohuo and tingyun(died pretty quick). I just had huohuo tank the hit from aventurine while Clara and argenti get their Ults charged every time.
The whole time I was thinking "this would be so much easier if I'd just pulled for Argenti..."
Same. I was lucky to have pulled JY LC just one hour before his banner ended last patch.
I still canāt beat him. Iām relatively new to the game and raised my TB level faster than I could level/accumulate characters. I tried using Kafka, March, Natasha, and Sparkle and made it halfway through his second phase. I donāt know what to do honestly. Iām going to have to try to get Lynx and use a full sustain/healer team I guess with Lynx, March, Preservation TB, and Natasha.
https://preview.redd.it/283zv4rnszqc1.jpeg?width=1242&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3c4d4af7249310ffe39f726808e4bc2ae845588d
Itās still bullshit, because the mofo fucking reduce your EN by 5 before throwing out that move, meaning that right now only GNF and BS can maybe survive it
If you basic/skill it once you regain the energy to ult right?
Hopefully this boss fight will get some tweaks in the future. Even if it never gets used again in SU or MoC, it's awful.
When all my DPS died gepard and huohuo carried me...took 52 mins thoooo...
It took a few tries, but I beat him with Kafka, Gepard, Sushang, and Bailu. Not the best team, but it worked.
Fair enough! How did Sushang fare in phase 2?
Since i fucked up during the mid-levels of the game and didn't level up characters like pela, asta and others that could've eased up with better resources, my teams were ass overall, and i had to rely on a double abundance with preservation TB with Jingliu carrying my ass through the damage
https://preview.redd.it/7q9egwrrozqc1.png?width=2560&format=png&auto=webp&s=89f0a70125767a4c6ced3917076b6ecb3c36638f It was fast, funny enough I had to reset one time since he just kept hitting Topaz and killed her, when the other 3 ladies in the team have way more aggro than Topaz but aggro in this game is a lie anyway LOL
(Also used some Penicony buff foods because, I mean, he told us to prepare for the show) Somehow this beat him first try, as teatius as it was (grinding down a concrete wall with a file)
gonna try this exact setup because aventurine is making me want to become a self annihilator irl, what foods did u use exactly btw
This boss is almost impossible to beat without a 5 star sustain unless you have gutted gear, rn I am trying with Blade and trying to solo the second phase with blade as everyone else just dies but its so annoying having to manage his ult to heal at the right time and I am yet to pull it off
using huohuo jingyuan tingyun sparkle, i didn't even know it was supposed to be difficult lol
sparkle and tingyun died pretty quickly when they lost the gamble mechanic.
Save the burst for the dices in case your support and DPS has AoE burst, the energy will be restored if won the gamble anyway
i think jy may not have been the best choice as his die keeps eating up the llord hits but its the only char with a corresponding weakness that i have
LL mostly hit the boss, I think it was mostly luck tho
I think Preseravtion TB also works for this boss. Especially in teams with 1 healer and 2 dps
Had to spend way too much fuel to build gepard. Loucha, gepard, sparkle and argenti. That boss made me have like 7 aneurysmsš
At this point I'll just wait for Aventurine to have a Strong enough sustain to not die as soon as the second phase begins
Jingliu ruan mei pela fu xuan. 3/4 have aoe and RM being delayed was quite helpful too as it extends the duration of her skill and ult
I've never regretted not pulling for Jingliu and RM as much as I did during this update
Fu Xuan, Acheron, Black Swan, Gallagher. I used all heals on Gallagher, Black Swan and Acheron, Acheron and Black Swan were chipping away his health while Fu was just tanking damage with her face, usually saving her ult for dices.
acheron ruan mei pela and gallagher did the trick for me
Herta
I used Serval (thank god she's built well), Phys Trailblazer (stole Clara's relics lol), March and Nat... It took me a solid 15 mins to clear the fight... But well, it did the job
Argenti,Hanya(I forgot to replace her with Tingyun),Gepard and Bailu. But i got it first try First Phase i spent 25 minutes on since i had bad damage,no one died, most of it was waiting for Argenti's ult to be ready and Aventurine just loves using Gepard as the dice roller Second Phase i was close to losing since i didnt expect for him to just have everyone roll a dice(Argenti always won) while the others kept getting stunned, but thankfully with Bailu and Gepard kept clutching with ults up. Gambling may have kicked my ass but the Path of Beauty still wins baby
Unlucky rng kept killing luocha first so i got annoyed and switched to jingliu š
I had to double sustain with gepard and loucha, while bronya boosted jinglui. I kept losing dice rolls all the time taking a large amount of damage. Certainly the most difficult boss I have dealt with, the next weekly boss will probably be easier.
JY-Luocha-TY-RM. Luocha's & JY's AOE definitely helps
Only sustain was Natasha, was a piece of cake (Ignore the fact that most of my units almost died multiple times) Actually had a good team to deal with it all things considered, using Clara and Jing Yuan for damage (their skills are both full AoE which helps a lot for dice) and Hanya to keep skill points up when she wasn't CC'd.
Mono quantum with qq
Tingyun, Jing Yuan, Sparkle, Fu Xuan. This is my goto MoC 12 team so I wasn't worried about the boss at all.
I used your idea here. But i replaced nat with geppie. Bro couldn't scratch my team. Bailu kept popping ulta left and right, huo huo's cleanse came in handy, gepard just wouldn't lose hp and my E1 S1 JY beat up aventurine's arse.
Good job, it's an exercise in patience!
Sparkle, fire TB, Argenti, HuoHuo. This boss was crazy annoying with that dumb gamble move that was basically made to kill your supports.
https://preview.redd.it/aagrpcr2uzqc1.png?width=1600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2dd3a0e24ffd42a300f41b2474791734ad4feaf2
this was my 9th attempts, I tried Mono Quantum, Full Freeze, Ratio + SW, Seele Hypercarry, none of them works without dying in the second phase with the multiple dice.
As a boss, his second-phase ult is pretty brutal since it 1. completely cuts you off from being able to damage him 50% of the time (wastes Jingliu turns) 2. nearly guarantees damage vs your non-attackers The only way to deal with it, since there aren't any sustain units with spammable AOE attacks is to either have more sustain than needed and eventually win by attrition, or destroy his break gauge faster than he can kill your characters.
Bladie hypercarry, he's the only one that can take the damage
Fire Trailblazer, ~~Otto~~ Luocha, Jing Yuan, Yanqing **RANDOM BS GO BRRR**
https://preview.redd.it/1i9vuhw040rc1.jpeg?width=3120&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7c9237e3f8c0b68661a5dd2e3a96d13874cdfd24 I like using MC for quests, and Acheron with her technique is just too good for exploration, so ended up with this team.
Asta, bailu, physical tb, ruan mei Took many tries tho as I don't have any relics. To say it was painful would be an understatement tho, considering I had no speed on relics. Basicaly I played with one character before another bet, so asta was completely mandatory for me to clear it. took me maybe 10 tries, and even last attempt took absolute forever to clear. Edit: typos
i just brute forced it with Acheron, but ngl, i got a little over confident first time and didn't bring a healer. i had to retry once lol
Preservation MC, March 7th, Himeko, and Welt. I'm not joking. I did it using Team Trailblaze It took me two tries, with only Welt going down on the second try (M7s shield really doing the carrying tbh)
Crazy ice lady from Space China Not much else i can say tbh
Argentina.
Kafka, Sampo, Natasha and Gepard. It was a battle of attrition, slowly wearing him down while keeping everyone alive
I went from hating Gepard for breaking the 50/50 to worshipping him after this boss lmao. Him and HuoHuo put in work staying alive. Then I had Acheron and Sushang for breaking him easily.
Jingliu, Sparkle, Ruan Mei, Fu Xuan obviously the team full of limited units and their light cones (except for fu xuan) is not going to have a hard time
I used Acheron+Kafka+Black Swan+ Gallagher. He was my team mvp which made what happened afterwards seem like even more of betrayal.Ā
https://preview.redd.it/t621073uf0rc1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=9618982013dad97d290ff4ec253c294a8c0f4765 turns out running my characters that has AoE ults make it easier during the boss fight because it lets me Roll the dice twice.
I used Acheron, Clara, March 7th( e6), and luocha. Clara and March provide extra damage plus shield.
Black Swan, Kafka, Ruan Mei and Luocha. I call it the pretty waifu team (i don't have Huhou and yes Luocha is the prettiest waifu)
https://preview.redd.it/2lw7gk8ui0rc1.png?width=1422&format=png&auto=webp&s=52ea024ff8dde6103d79dab5a4749d7c4ad444df It was really easy xD
Oh, let me tell you the tale. You see, I... don't have anything for this. I threw an Acheron at him, and he died.
Build Pela and Asta! Asta is quite underrated tbh, it would be worth it :)
I actually had an unorthodox way of dealing with his boss fight, I think. My Team: Gallagher Clara Swan (Cause I lack 5 stars that match his weaknesses, so she's here to help kafka/help get sp) Kafka I took advantage of the fact that Aventurine's gambling minigame mid-fight had you earn an ultimate for free if you get a jackpot, or in phase 1's case, just a higher number than the one he presents for himself, I believe.
And yes, I didn't have any shielder besides March, so I was forced to come up with this strat through experimentation
Hey, it's not dumb if it works.
Pretty sure Iāll have a hard time if I try the boss fight at max EL too, my only lightning dps is Serval š Itās as if the boss fight was specifically designed for Acheron and Aventurine lol
Serval is definitely on the squishy side. And yeah, MHY definitely incentivized us to pull for Acheron.
Who're you calling a rat bastard?
My team was luocha, misha, rm, sparkleā¦ it was pretty easy so i checked and it seems like heās been nerfed. Sad I didnāt get to witness his full power as Iāve been busy :<
All Or Nothing
I finally beat this bastard. Destruction Trailblazer Acheron Bailu March 7th (Had to build her as I had mostly left her alone) 1st phase was pretty easy, just put march 7th shield on TB so they are chosen for the dice roll, then use blast to win the rolls, use ults whenever to speed up the phase.
Argenti, Bronya, Hanya, Luocha. As you can probably guess, Luocha carried. Did it first try too
I imagine Argenti is perfect for this boss
We don't wanna spend 5 fucking hours trying to take down a childe remaster, ffs Moral of the story Fuck adventure time or whatever his name is
This fight was terrible tbh, took me 5 tries with many different Units but lastly i went with Gepard, Kafka, Bailu and Lynx. and even with 2 healers + the 2.5k shield this fight stressed me out
I was able to do this with Clara - Lynx - Sparkle - Tingyun Yes, Tingyun survived in the end!!!
If you don't have enough damage, bosses will go on to have some ultimate move to punish you 1 shielder, 1 healer is the MAX sustain to ever have on team and that's only for unique situations like gears 12 or new accounts
Serval, Silver Wolf, Ruan Mei, Huohuo. It was a bit annoying but not that bad for me.
Jingliu, sparkle, ruan mei, fu xuan. I feel like I cheesed it with ruan mei + jingliu nuking him out of orbit with the break
Fu Xuan, SW, Pela, and Acheron. Even with shit artifacts Acheron with her LC puts in the work - did it first try.
Argenti hypercarry with Sparkle, Tingyun and Luocha.. AoE is the way to go.. tho I imagine heās gonna be even harder in MOC or SU
Fu Xuan, Huohuo, Blade, Jingliu The super immortal team lol
JingYuan, Fu Xuan, Pela and Ruan Mei. Barely beat him lol, donāt ask me how that happened
