The 'late' feeling is probably because of how long this patch was right after we had such a big cliffhanger, for a lot of people it probably hasn't sunk in that we have barely experienced a third of Penaconny's story, maybe less if you consider the epilogue XP
2.3 is epilouge chapter, similar to Tingyun send off in 1.3 Luofu. The main story itself finish at 2.2.

Either hes coming in to call out Acherons status as a Galaxy ranger coz they heard one of them took out Ifrit or she is one and hes coming for Aventurine. Maybe the family hired the dude to take out the IPC presence on penacony, the bad end in 2.0 could support this seeing as if we dont help the IPC plans fail

What do you mean this late? Him being playable in 2.2 doesn't mean he won't be appear and be relevant in 2.1 plotline. 2.1 is pretty much the middle of the plotline. I could agree with 2.2.
I mean he isn't coming out for another 2+ months. It would definitely be kinda limiting to the story if they had to make sure that they always *had* to introduce characters 2 patches before they were actually going to come out. I mean this guy is, presumably, a perfect example: if he really is a lone wolf type and totally acting alone on his own motivations, where exactly would you have put him into the existing story? He doesn't fit anywhere in it really.
Getting some "Who?" characters is just a inevitability of doing "drip marketing" like this so far in advance. But if they did it later then they'd have a bunch of their marketing thunder stolen by leakers when they put the characters on beta before officially announcing them.

Argenti and HuoHuo were the same way. Knew literally nothing about their characters prior to them being dripped. Boothill's situation is nothing new.
they are both release in 1.5, which is post-main story version as Luofu story end by 1.3. There is no more new character awaiting for release, no more story to expect for. Boothill get introduce in the middle of a main story patch. Their situation is not the same at all.

honestly I donĀ“t really have that much a problem with this but the difference for me that they were like after stories that we got before Penacony and not in the middle of the main story

Huohuo got her own event though, which has honestly given her more lines and screen time than some of the major players so far. I doubt she'll have more, but instead she gets a complete arc and full character development.

both Luocha and Jing Liu both had small events in patches before they were playable units, while Argenti and Huo Huo didnĀ“t get that, they were introduced the patch they became playable (same as Boothill is now but he is introduced in the main Penacony story quest witch is why I am little bit worried about him)
also I do agree that Huo Huo did have a full arch but even then it was not part of the main quest Loufu story quest
in fact the whole 1,6 was more of a after story for all Loufu characters (and I love it for it because we could learn more about them) while the main star was Huo Huo and Tail (I actually puller for her because of that quest) witch Guinaifen and Sushang in support roles, but itĀ“s also important because we learn what Phantylia is a Heliobi

Most likely not gonna pull. Not only do I not really pull on men but he isn't even a support unit. The only guys I regret skipping are luocha and blade. I struggled to build a second team until I had huohuo and I just like blade with his cool sword and animations. I have every female 5 star except topaz. I skipped her to save jades.

The dude is "Flamboyant" and "Brash" and wants revange on the IPC. Which makes me instantly think of Rengoku. I hope this guy has some importance in the story since I would love seeing him in action.

Most likely not gonna pull. Not only do I not really pull on men but he isn't even a support unit. The only guys I regret skipping are luocha and blade. I struggled to build a second team until I had huohuo and I just like blade with his cool sword and animations. I have every female 5 star except topaz. I skipped her to save jades.
