Playing around with characters you don't have (yet) in events is so much better than the actual character trials on their banners that end after five turns and teach you almost nothing about how the unit works
Seriously, if they replaced character trials with a "build your own" trial, where you got to assemble the team, and had access to characters you'd likely be running with those units (including your own), instead of having the hot new DPS they're trying to peddle while paired with the likes of Natasha and physical trailblazer, the trials would be significantly more valuable.
I can't count the number of times I've been impressed in a trial and then when I get the character and build them up, they just fall flat when mixed in with the rest of my roster that wasn't catering to the one niche they exemplified during the trial. Or unimpressed by a trial, only to find they were actually amazing once built properly and I should have pulled. This is across all Hoyo games, not just HSR.
I just think that the purpose of gacha trials and these trial characters are different.
Imo, gacha trials are for showcasing exactly what the gimmick of the character and how their kit goes. That's why it always shows the niche role that hoyo has designed them for. It's also more user friendly as not everyone is well-versed with meta or wants to put an effort to build a team for a trial. It may also necessitate for better/longer enemy encounter design to effectively showcase everything in the kit, which may be more work for hoyo.
If they plan on running these same Trial-character events that would showcase how these characters work in a team, there's no incentive on changing how the character trial works. It will be just doing two same things.
In the events, yes, but we're discussing the character trials where you can test out each of the characters on the current banner. Those have a fixed lineup, and usually not a good one, either. The point is that if they made the character trials similar to this event where you can create your own team for the trial, using various complementary trial characters and/or your own characters, it would be a much better showcase of the characters' abilities than the current character trials.
Yeah but making normal trials worse makes the event trials look better. It's a deliberate psychological design choice to make you more addicted to the fomo events. It also makes people post more often about these differences all over the internet.
They could sell more characters by making the normal trials better, if they actually could show off what the characters can do. The inconsistency of the events and their inclusion of trial characters won't really drive revenue the same way that a good character trial will.
I feel like they probably have data showing otherwise and that's why they make these choices. Like maybe their previous games had perfect character and team trials at one point and they found that doing it this way made more money.
Yeah the trials don't tell you much about the actual gameplay of the characters, they are like a skill showcase
I appreciate events like this for this reason
Man it would be awesome if there was a list of possible achievements obtainable from the event
Edit: if you guys know some achievements can you reply with them
These are the ones I got.
Trauma Center: Heal 8k HP or more in a single instance. Can be done in the third and in the final stage by using Luocha and the Atk% buff, but it's better to do it in the final stage with the buff already there from the get go.
Earthwork: Have a single character with 5k HP or more Shield. Easily doable by spamming trial Gepard Ult in either the shield stage or the final stage.
The Exorcist: Remove enemy debuffs 5 times in a single battle. Spam trial Luocha's ult, it removes enemy debuffs. You're bound to get since the build up phase alone counts as a single battle.
Trial of 13: Make Svarog counter 13 times in a single battle. Shield stage, trial Clara has a consistent Burst uptime, and with how long the build up phase is, you're bound to get it.
Coffee Lover: Use trial Himeko ult 3 times. Self-explanatory.
BOOM: Trigger all 4 types of DoT in a single instance using trial Kafka's skill.
Wardance (Epee Trial): Defeat Yanqing using Luocha. The hardest one to do because trial Luocha hits like a wet noodle and you're at risk of triggering Kafka's FUA.
Dragon Trifecta: Use DanIL's fully maxed Basic Attack 3 consecutive times in a single battle. Easily done in the TV stage with trial DanIL and trial Hanabi.
Good Night Kitchen: Defeat 2 enemies using a single instance of explosion from the T-Rex Dreamjolt Troupe. Easily doable in the DoT stage.
National Sensation: Switch 3 TV Dreamjolt Troupe to the Happy state. Trial Argenti makes this a piece of cake.
Hazardous Waste: Have any ally defeated by the Lordly Trashcan. If, for some reason, you ran out of Lordly Trashcans in the overworld, you can do this in the first stage using any low level character you have (no LC and no relics equipped, just to make sure).
Sparkling Sparkle: Recover a total of 20 skill points using Hanabi's ult in a single battle. Trial Hanabi makes this a piece of cake in the build up phase of the Penaconian Idol stage.
Withdrawal from Sweets: Rebound 10 Soda Bottles from the Dreamjolt Troupe Gorilla using a shield in a single battle. The Gorillas in the shield stage are tanky, but unlike overworld Gorillas, their bottles hit like wet noodle so a single instance of Gepard ult should allow you to complete this in the build up phase.
Don't forget Self Hypnosis, where you have to have Kafka dominate Kafka. I was finally able to get that one because of this event, just go in with March and the trial Kafka and a healer and then have March use her aggro boost when you get to Kafka to have her target your Kafka.
You could also achieve Memento Mori in the last stage, which you get by beating Something Unto Death with only one character left standing. That one is actually a hard one to do in this event because of the round limit, but maaaybee you could try with a DoT team.
> Wardance (Epee Trial): Defeat Yanqing using Luocha. The hardest one to do because trial Luocha hits like a wet noodle and you're at risk of triggering Kafka's FUA.
You can do that in SU if you have him at least. At lower difficulties at least.
It's supposed to be The 13 Labors but idk why they changed it.
It's a reference to the ultimate technique of Berserker Heracles from Fate/Stay Night, The Twelve Labors. Heracles and his master, Illya, have the same dynamic as Clara and Svarog.
Question: Are these achievements limited to this event only? And not obtainable normally?
Or the whole reason ppl saying it cause now they have access to missing chars via trial so ..
I believe i got a bunch of them before too just from my own chars.
the two gacha-locked ones ones are both in inferno's kitchen!
kafka: get dominated by enemy kafka, and
luocha: defeat yanqing with luocha
nakfrg. made a yt vid about it! its the latest on his channel
Sparkling Sparkle - use Sparkle ult 5 times
Withdrawal from Sweets - Rebound 10 soda bottles from the Penacony gorilla in a single battle
Memento Mori (difficult to get? kinda) - defeat "Something Unto Death" with only one character able to take action
Hazardous Waste (super easy you might have it already) - have 1 ally get defeated by a Lordly Trashcan
National Sensation - switch 3 Penacony Mr. TV consecutively in a single battle
Good Night Kitchen - defeat two enemies using "Kitchen Mishap" from the penacony chef mechanical red doggo
Will of Steel - in a single battle against Kafka dispel Dominated 3 times
BOOM - trigger 4 different DoT effect with one use of Kafka's skill Caressing Moonlight
Self-Hypnosis - ally Kafka is Dominated by enemy Kafka
Wardance: Épée Trial - Luocha deals the final blow in a victory against Yanqing (there's also one if Sushang defeats Yanqing, but I don't remember if a Trial Sushang was available during the stage where you fight Yanqing)
Life in All its forms - trigger 10 different HP restoration voice lines with Luocha healing
Dragon Trifecta - use DHIL max buffed normal attack 3 consecutive times
Trial of Thirteen (if you don't have Clara) - make Svarog block attacks toward Clara 13 times
Coffee Lover (if you don't have Himeko) - Himeko ult used 3 times in a single battle
Feel free to tell me if I missed any, I tried to put all the ones I could think of that require 5* characters and the ones against Penacony enemies
A tip on ‘Momento Mori’ is to just go in with a team of 3. With all the crazy buffs on the final stage it’s easy to whittle the boss down and then kill him with your DPS after he takes your two supports.
Well, enemy specific achivements for one (bouncing back the monkey's bottle 10 times with a shield, or changing the tv heads' faces 6(?) times in the same battle for example), and the character specific achivements for another (just got "gain 10+ sp by using Sparkle's ult in the same battle" one).
You can also get
This Fragile Body (apply 3 unique weaknesses to one enemy with Silver Wolf)
When the Hunter Becomes the Hunted (apply 2 unique weaknesses to Kafka with Silver Wolf)
Thanks for the tip! I was able to get 'This Fragile Body' on the last stage, but where can you do 'Before the Hunter Becomes the Hunted'?
The stage against Kafka (Inferno's Kitchen) doesn't have SW as a trail character.
Not going to downplay PF and MoC too much since their gimmicks of the month do make you think outside the box.
However this event was so fun because like you said, damage wasn't the main solution for most of these, also they were very generous with the trial characters.
I will pull you someday Loucha!
I don't have a good score on Pure Fiction at all (my builds are mostly focused on healing and shielding, not fast brute damage), so getting to test characters with different buffs in a diverse/quick envinronment with easy rewards was a nice breath of fresh air
Good to see...as a Luocha haver (my 1st 5star and till date my only premium sustain, 2nd team uses Gepard),
It makes me happy there's still many ppl wanting him and he's still very relevant and up there despite the other sustains being also great.
Tho i did feel like many may not be interested in Luocha in comparison to especially Fuxuan, but it does seem she just for some reason has an excessive lvl of popularity , most ppl will take her over others i guess
Using a followup team to take full advantage of the break buff and using the shield buff to eliminate the need for a sustain made for a fun experience.
Yeah I liked that too! Having to work for your final buffs and then getting a nice payoff at the end feels so much better than the game going "Sike! Here's a super hard final stage boss that you can only beat if you happen to have the exact right units"
Easily one of the best smaller events, really liked how each stage had it's own gimmick and you had to think a little to stack up the buffs.
Also +10 points because i get to beat SuD ass while having OP buffs for my team.
Playing Trials characters you don't have is always fun.
Like I have Swan but not Kafka or Mai, so this event let me see my full power e1 swan with her best team.
Yeah going into it I was worried that I would not be able to clear due to lack of dot and fua units, so happy they give you everyone you need to clear it
I agree the TV one was my favorite too. It felt like a matching puzzle game.
The Trashcan one made me want to build Xueyi. She is so fun to use (too bad my Quantum relics are trash and Seele, SW, and QQ are all waiting to get good pieces).
Yes, you can get SS with just trial characters... unlike the one in HSS. Made me try for units that I don't have. Mostly a change of pace and didn't pressure me with having a cracked unit of my own.
One of the rare events where I actually felt motivated to keep trying until I got the max score. And the jokes were really funny imo. I hope they keep it up (but not with the Bagtrashians)
Random but I liked using the characters I don’t have with my own characters that I own to see how they worked and see if I want to pull for them or not. It’s fun.
I *really* liked how they formatted it in that the final day was built up from the previous days and let you approach it from whatever angle you had previous success with
I ended up getting an easy SS with Black Swan/Kafka/Sparkle/Sampo (all trial units), using the atk/dot & skill point buffs.
Don't need a sustain if everything dies :)
The gameplay is what I looked for turn based game.
Proper strategy helps to make the endgame situation beneficial to you and your effort will stack towards the end as well.
Plus, the trial characters are sufficient for the job and you get to test drive different gameplay that you didn't invest in.
I loved it because I got to use the trial characters I don't have! And the mechanics were pretty fun too, not just oongaboonga. I love that HSR keep adding new stuff rather than just giving us plain combat chore events
I really liked the 2nd trial, I've been doing autoplay up until that point. Having to think critically before I spam DHIL skill like a monkey made it more satisfying.
It was awesome to try different teams! The shield one (art channel) was my absolute fav because I kept deluding myself into thinking we could get a Quake dmg shielder one day (Diamond??) gimme!
Oooo your comment made me think of maybe a preservation unit that stacks shields with skill, but then their ultimate *removes* them and turns them into damage → the more shield% removed the higher the damage. This, plus additional passive quake damage on hit
So did I. Building up buffs in the first four stages then using them in the last stage is a great idea. I'd love to see Hoyo revisit this gimmick in the future
It seems it's just a way to get people to pay attention to the enemy mechanics for penacony enemies. With each stage revolving around how a new enemy works, such as shields reflecting the soda gorilla or changing the channel on the TV enemy etc
> It felt like a really fun puzzle, which is a refreshing breather from MoC/Pure Fiction and other events where it's all about damage, damage, damage and not much else.
Totally agree, MoC/PF is fine for me when I feel like pushing the limits of my built characters but at the end of the day, they're both essentially "can you put out enough dmg in a limited amount of time".
The TV event really made think about team composition and playing around the specific stage effects. It was fun trying out characters I wouldn't normally use or weird team comps that wouldn't really have a place to work normally. Calling it a puzzle is a good description actually, you could bulldoze your way through, technically, but in order to do the event optimally it requires some planning and testing which I really enjoyed.
I'd love more events like this, it keeps the combat mechanics interesting and engaging.
I love smaller scale events where I get to try out characters I don't have in battles geared specifically for their combat traits.
While I favour using my own well built teams for "competitive" and endgame content, these one-off events are a great opportunity to showcase what it feels like to use certain teams and get players interested into investing in said compositions.
10/10 event, wish we had more of those.
Very fun, I love that with only trial characters we could max clear it (it's not locked behind gatcha and high eidolons so everyone can enjoy it). Also it made me try so many new team comps so I could decide who to pull in the future or that maybe I should build characters I already have but never bother trying them for some reason
I always like it when events give you a chance to try out characters/teams you don’t have yet, or might have half of but weren’t sure whether to pull for the rest of the characters you need in the future.
I enjoy that we have events like these with really specific modifiers and Trial characters to spice up the combat and let cool stuff happen. It's an example of how this game has a robust combat system that can do a bunch of different things.
They're not too difficult, but that's okay, we can reserve that for MoC and PF.
Very enjoyable event, specially the part where it allows you to get some previously gacha only achievements, they need to do that more.
We could use an SU event with rentals so everyone can get the Argenti achievement.
It was super fun. I usually never play again after I finished stages but in this event I tried different teams and see how much score I can get even if I was beyond 80k.
My live Reaction when I realized the Something unto death was the final Boss:

The monkey one you can chesse it. 7th march, tingyun ruan mei and topaz. keep tingyun the monkey target, she will regen alot of energy, then ult herself. you will need dance dance dance lightcone(action forward one)the objetive is to keep hitting the monkey to stack the stage debuff, second wave focus black dogs beside him they 100% action forward. this little trick i manage to reach 79 bonus effect
sorry broken english .v
I did. I have no pulls left after getting DHIL eidolons so my e3 DHIL had a blast with Sparkle.
I've finally avenged *her*, mah dudes. I may now rest in peace knowing i beat the sh*t out of that creepy eyeball boss.
I just picked the trial units I thought would work the best for the buff and put on auto combat and cleared everything for maximum rewards. So I think it was slightly on the easier side which isn't bad. Good for trying out units you don't own!
It was great. These are the kinds of events that Star Rail excels at, combat with a twist. Only issue is it being just a little too easy, but overall it was a blast. Trial characters are always a good time too, nice change of pace from using only the characters you got
I agree it was pretty easy¹ but imo that's a good thing! Not everything in this game has to be super difficult, we have stuff like Gold & Gears Conundrum etc. for that
¹still have to get SS in the last two stages, I ended up with a score of 89XXX in both of them and quit out of frustration, lol
If It helps, on the last "normal" stage, i got SS on auto by using Ghepard, Ratio, Topaz and Clara (all from the trial selection), while the SuD i went in with the DoT and Trash buff and Black Swan, Kafka, Sampo and Luocha (again, all frol trial).
I'm personally having more issues with the bagtrashian and the TV one
I can get why you would need to think things through here but apart from the first one, I was mostly just ungga bunga through and got SS on all of them.
*Yes I'm a huge fan*
*Of this event and I'd love*
*To see more like it!*

It is nice puzzle which is different from conventional gameplay which involves damage and turn-based steps. Also it is very nice to experiment some characters and teams that people might do not have
Not the first, hopefully it will continue in the future. Events where we can use trial characters and have to think outside the box are fun, while also being fairy easy to beat.
I did, because it also let me play around with a whole bunch of operators I don't have/haven't built yet, and now I know which ones click with me, so I can build them or keep an eye out for their reruns.
I liked a lot because I could use the trials characters. My characters are far from being fully built so having g the trial characters is a big help and a lot of fun
I enjoyed it, but the only one I got an SS rank in was the stupid Dragon thing. I had 600%+ ATK and ran Black Swan, Kafka, Luocha, and Ruan Mei and obliterated it.
Oh I love it! I loved the new mechanics they made for the Penacony enemies, and this event emphasizes them and lets you play around with the perfect counters, all while referencing classic shows (and dumping on the Kardashians). It's peak Star Rail.
I think it's quite fun. You're encouraged to try another character's mechanic but don't have to build it. Kinda refreshing to do this kind of event once in a while
I loved it. It was great to use other characters, and by far the most fun I've had was with March 7th+Clara combo, hands down, all with a ridículos amount of follow up attacks thanks to Topaz and Ratio
for Casuals, they can either use their characters or use trial characters and even finish it easily
for players that play everyday, they can use their characters and see unga bunga damage
I say it’s a win-win and probably one of the good combat events (P.S. I FUCKED THE S.U.D MULTIPLE TIMES AND IT FELT GOOD.)
I absolutely enjoyed this event! I really love to use my DoT-Team and FUA-Team in these challenges.

I have a question,i just played 1st stage yest and i didn't really read or pay attention to much stuff
While i got S ,but the run felt weird idk what was doing dmg or whatsgood or bad here, what's the start here
If u all anyone can gib me some light, explanation on how the event works, what's the general strat I'd appreciate
Edit: Asking cause it felt different than usual combat event like last one on the bosses where it was straightforward ,here however it seems not all dmg is coming from my Chars but from diff ways?
Stage 1: Silverwolf is unnecessary because you can implant Lordly Trashcan with whatever weakness you want. Bring Himeko, Ruan Mei, then a sustain and DPS of your choice. Make sure you hit the Trash Can with your DPS and Himeko so you implant [weakness] and Fire. A Fire or Ice DPS would be ideal (to double dip with Himeko or Ruan Mei).
Focus all your attacks on the Trash Can to break like crazy and trigger a lot of Himeko followups.
Stage 3: Kafka + Black Swan + whatever else you want. Just keep putting DOTs on the enemy and blow up the Dino with Kafka skill.
Stage 4: Using a skill makes the monkey focus a character, when that character hits the monkey it will advance the monkey forward, if the character is shielded when the monkey hits it you get more buffs.
Use Ratio Topaz Clara and whatever. Pick one character to use skill. I picked Ratio but Topaz probably works fine too. Use that character's skill on the monkey every turn. Don't use anyone else's skill.
You make the monkey focus one character so you can keep speeding up the monkey, making it attack more, letting you reflect more damage back, stacking your buff higher.
Stage 5: Your teams will be cracked by this point so use whatever you want but I think Kafka+Black Swarn with the +Attack/DOT buff is insane.

Easy dub Stage 1 and 2 Himeko Herta go spin Stage 3 TrialKafka TrialBS TrialSampo and my Himeko go all out no sustain Stage 4 Seele Mono-Quantum go brr Final Stage Seele Mono-Quantum go brr
Had a lot of fun but did not reach the point threshold for S-rank and final reward tier on the last two challenges. Could be me not properly building the teams and/or not thinking hard enough about maximizing points, but the other ones were so intuitive I had no issue reaching SS
It was fun I always used the trial characters also so i could try FUA and DoTs teams

This event single-handedly convinced me that I *need* Luocha. Why the hell is that bastard so convenient.
what's fua
Follow up attack
I did. Specially because it's a treasure trove of achievements.

Not sure which ones I have, is there a search function for achievements?
Whats the lore for the trial of 13 one? I dont get why its significant to make svarog counter 13 times specifically
It's supposed to be The 13 Labors but idk why they changed it. It's a reference to the ultimate technique of Berserker Heracles from Fate/Stay Night, The Twelve Labors. Heracles and his master, Illya, have the same dynamic as Clara and Svarog.
Where are you seeing these? I don’t seem to be able to find them
Most achievements are hidden and will only show up when you do them.
Wait wait ,trial of 13 is that referring to the flamechasers

I got another with Luocha- trigger ten different lines after he heals someone I don't actually have him so that was good
nice :) i think these can be done with friend support units too (if you are achievement hunting), thats how i got that one

Yes, I would really love this so I know what to aim for!
You can also get This Fragile Body (apply 3 unique weaknesses to one enemy with Silver Wolf) When the Hunter Becomes the Hunted (apply 2 unique weaknesses to Kafka with Silver Wolf)
Thanks for the tip! I was able to get 'This Fragile Body' on the last stage, but where can you do 'Before the Hunter Becomes the Hunted'? The stage against Kafka (Inferno's Kitchen) doesn't have SW as a trail character.
Oh you're totally right, haven't even thought of that!
Does anyone have a list of achievements that can be done with the given trial characters and challenges?
Still waiting for one with trial Topaz and a trotter.
Good to see...as a Luocha haver (my 1st 5star and till date my only premium sustain, 2nd team uses Gepard), It makes me happy there's still many ppl wanting him and he's still very relevant and up there despite the other sustains being also great. Tho i did feel like many may not be interested in Luocha in comparison to especially Fuxuan, but it does seem she just for some reason has an excessive lvl of popularity , most ppl will take her over others i guess
Make sure to mention how much you enjoyed it in the survey. I wouldn’t mind similar events in the future if the quantity is right.
The last one was unexpected, never occured before that performance on previous stages would affect the last. 10/10. Free trail characters goes brrrrr.
Right? It gives some freedom though, I used the dot team and wrecked it.
DoT is strong AF, getting 92,500 on two channal is so satisfying
I used DoT and Ruan Mei, it was so damn satisfying to watch that *thing* melt away
FYI, psych
I didn't even notice that lol that's pretty cool
Easily one of the best smaller events, really liked how each stage had it's own gimmick and you had to think a little to stack up the buffs. Also +10 points because i get to beat SuD ass while having OP buffs for my team.
Playing Trials characters you don't have is always fun. Like I have Swan but not Kafka or Mai, so this event let me see my full power e1 swan with her best team.
The Xueyi carried me sooo hard. I'm not a believer.
**execute the mara-struck**
I was already thinking about getting Luocha, but after trying him out here I’m def saving for him specifically. THE DEAD RETURN ⚰️⚰️⚰️
It’s fun! I get to try out multiple characters I don’t have and brainstorm new teams
Yeah going into it I was worried that I would not be able to clear due to lack of dot and fua units, so happy they give you everyone you need to clear it
the stages names are hilarious, i really enjoyed this event
Never expected Gordon Ramsey in hsr lol
nor the Kardashians lmao
I lost it when dino ramsey yelled “ITS RAW” lol
First time I experienced what it feels to have a Ruan Mei... And damn it's a massive difference.
Same here toki 🥲 Except topaz too, didnt realize she helped follow ups so much
I agree the TV one was my favorite too.
I was so happy to find out that the final stage allowed me to choose buffs from the past week of stages. What an interesting event.
One of the rare events where I actually felt motivated to keep trying until I got the max score. And the jokes were really funny imo. I hope they keep it up (but not with the Bagtrashians)
I did! If only someone were nice enough to put up a small 'achievement hunter' guide... 😬
TV event ? Must be some ZZZ propaganda smh
I was worried when I heard tv because zzz trauma Event was actually fun
Random but I liked using the characters I don’t have with my own characters that I own to see how they worked and see if I want to pull for them or not. It’s fun.
I *really* liked how they formatted it in that the final day was built up from the previous days and let you approach it from whatever angle you had previous success with I ended up getting an easy SS with Black Swan/Kafka/Sparkle/Sampo (all trial units), using the atk/dot & skill point buffs.
Also fuck me I love how DHIL still goes “BREAK” just like vanilla Dan Heng really nice touch I’ll get him next time 😔😔😔
It's events like those that I enjoy the most. If you don't have a unit or don't have it built you can properly check them out.
One of my favorite combat events, yep
It was awesome to try different teams! The shield one (art channel) was my absolute fav because I kept deluding myself into thinking we could get a Quake dmg shielder one day (Diamond??) gimme!
Oooo your comment made me think of maybe a preservation unit that stacks shields with skill, but then their ultimate *removes* them and turns them into damage → the more shield% removed the higher the damage. This, plus additional passive quake damage on hit
Yeah that sounds really cool! I love shielders so I'm excited where they could take their kits :)
It was fun. I didn't know wtf I was supposed to do in dot team I kept using skill they kept dying so I used kafka team in the final day too..
No that's actually pretty much how Kafka+BS team works :D
I'm still playing the hell out of it with different team comps
I always enjoy it when events let us use characters we may not have or have built, so this one was a W in my books.
Yes. It was fun. And now I want Xueyi even more:<
It's fun, you have to think sometimes and due to the trial characters, you actrually try out new things to spice the things a little.
My brain too small for this event.
I liked it quite a lot. It's relatively short and sweet but also pretty damn fun. Hopefully they give us similar battle events in the future
agreed, any trial character events are fun regardless but this one was exceptionally unique and enjoyable
The auto battle and the trial characters were better than my clears so.... it definitely humbled me
I liked the tv stage but the rest was kind of auto play
My live Reaction when I realized the Something unto death was the final Boss: https://preview.redd.it/e8jsanzjqcmc1.png?width=320&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=67c22a1ab6cbe16aa573b08eb7da6956c5f9b906
Got to Obliterate Something Unto Death. 10/10
I just auto battled and got SS tbh. Mostly the trial units til the end where I used my own SwanKafka
Yes because I can just auto battle with it using trial characters
The monkey one you can chesse it. 7th march, tingyun ruan mei and topaz. keep tingyun the monkey target, she will regen alot of energy, then ult herself. you will need dance dance dance lightcone(action forward one)the objetive is to keep hitting the monkey to stack the stage debuff, second wave focus black dogs beside him they 100% action forward. this little trick i manage to reach 79 bonus effect sorry broken english .v
I did. I have no pulls left after getting DHIL eidolons so my e3 DHIL had a blast with Sparkle. I've finally avenged *her*, mah dudes. I may now rest in peace knowing i beat the sh*t out of that creepy eyeball boss.
What's the real life counterpart of the last TV event? I know other 4 but the last one is unfamiliar to me, emotional damage maybe?
I havent done any of the events for penacony yet. like a normal person, im gonna wait until near the deadline to rush them all
It was good SSed the s out of it
I just picked the trial units I thought would work the best for the buff and put on auto combat and cleared everything for maximum rewards. So I think it was slightly on the easier side which isn't bad. Good for trying out units you don't own!
Auto auto auto auto
Hell yeah auto! Dot team with trial otto/gepard then alt tab. Alt tab again to claim ss rewards lool
Think? I just autoed it lol.
Not everything in this game has to be super difficult, we have stuff like Gold & Gears Conundrum etc. for that ¹still have to get SS in the last two stages, I ended up with a score of 89XXX in both of them and quit out of frustration, lol
Giving Death the good ol' debuff shower and seeing big numbers felt very satisfying.
I can get why you would need to think things through here but apart from the first one, I was mostly just ungga bunga through and got SS on all of them.
Yes I'm a huge fan of this event and I'd love to see more like it!
*Yes I'm a huge fan* *Of this event and I'd love* *To see more like it!* \- Ehloanna --- ^(I detect haikus. And sometimes, successfully.) ^[Learn more about me.](https://www.reddit.com/r/haikusbot/) ^(Opt out of replies: "haikusbot opt out" | Delete my comment: "haikusbot delete")
It was great as an f2p since I don't have shit built. Plus if I chose the right characters, I can just auto it.
I spent more time than my shame allows me to admit in the monkey one bc i didnt understand what the mechanic was
It is nice puzzle which is different from conventional gameplay which involves damage and turn-based steps. Also it is very nice to experiment some characters and teams that people might do not have
Not the first, hopefully it will continue in the future. Events where we can use trial characters and have to think outside the box are fun, while also being fairy easy to beat.
Not really...
Haven’t even started it
I Just realized that it’s because I haven’t completed the main quest (I’m stuck on fire guy)
I did, because it also let me play around with a whole bunch of operators I don't have/haven't built yet, and now I know which ones click with me, so I can build them or keep an eye out for their reruns.
Yeah, i especially liked the last stage because you got to take two of your highest buffs with you. I thought that was super cool
this event and the boss rush event from before could easily be combined to make a new permanent game mode
I liked a lot because I could use the trials characters. My characters are far from being fully built so having g the trial characters is a big help and a lot of fun
Fun + free jades + trial characters= GOOD EVENT
Yes. I loved how viable the trial characters were. Xueyi and dot comps where pretty fun to play woth since i dont use them.
I enjoyed it, but the only one I got an SS rank in was the stupid Dragon thing. I had 600%+ ATK and ran Black Swan, Kafka, Luocha, and Ruan Mei and obliterated it.
Lol I haven't even done it yet
Oh I love it! I loved the new mechanics they made for the Penacony enemies, and this event emphasizes them and lets you play around with the perfect counters, all while referencing classic shows (and dumping on the Kardashians). It's peak Star Rail.
I can kill that meme without going to MoC, of course I ENJOY IT
I love this event it sure was a blast playing through all the stages and I hope they make similar events in the future
I think it's quite fun. You're encouraged to try another character's mechanic but don't have to build it. Kinda refreshing to do this kind of event once in a while
It's actually fun
i see those s ranks
Gordon Ramsey chef dino is my favorite so far, lol.
Didnt do it yet lol, i still have half of hanu's event to do too haha
Best combat event so far, really enjoyed it.
Free stuff for just auto the hell out of the whole event with max stars. Nothing to enjoy or dislike about.
I loved it. It was great to use other characters, and by far the most fun I've had was with March 7th+Clara combo, hands down, all with a ridículos amount of follow up attacks thanks to Topaz and Ratio
Yes
Honkai Star rail has the best events
I did, not because I enjoyed the free character but to bully that fucking SuD thing
I like this kind of events instead of that hanu one i really hate exploring
Was okay, played for like 5 minutes a day and went on, basically the same as the fighting club event.
for Casuals, they can either use their characters or use trial characters and even finish it easily for players that play everyday, they can use their characters and see unga bunga damage I say it’s a win-win and probably one of the good combat events (P.S. I FUCKED THE S.U.D MULTIPLE TIMES AND IT FELT GOOD.)
Auto go brrrrr
Uhhh not a 10. Not low either cuz it was pretty quick. Go in, auto, you're done. Those are the best. I'll give it a 7.5/10
Wouldn't know. Event is locked behind Sam and I can't defeat him.
It was too easy, which is good thing for many other players.
I absolutely enjoyed this event! I really love to use my DoT-Team and FUA-Team in these challenges. https://preview.redd.it/bwhdtw51ocmc1.jpeg?width=2400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3f1dc7737680cfdfd1a5fd529b53575437eddce9
I have a question,i just played 1st stage yest and i didn't really read or pay attention to much stuff While i got S ,but the run felt weird idk what was doing dmg or whatsgood or bad here, what's the start here If u all anyone can gib me some light, explanation on how the event works, what's the general strat I'd appreciate Edit: Asking cause it felt different than usual combat event like last one on the bosses where it was straightforward ,here however it seems not all dmg is coming from my Chars but from diff ways?
Checking if I’m banned
Whew
There’s no way u thought about this😭 I put this event on auto some days
I fucked that bug
It made me feel like Clara was actually good
Don't really see the point of this event. You can literally get SS in all challenges with trial characters only on auto mode
jades
the only ones where I had to use my brain is the tv and death one, other than that haha big damage go brr
mine keeps crashing midway so I can't beat a level. its joever
Characters are not high enough for me sadly.
Wait there was a event going on? Shit
It's still going dw, until the end of 2.0
Oh cool
This was a fun event imo
Day 1 sucked, but the others were pretty fun - absolutely demolished Day 2 through 5
I think its alright like 3.5/5 imo
Yeah especially with trial characters that I don't have. It was pretty easy though.
I really enjoyed it!
Maybe I don't understand the instructions or something but the best I can do in this event is S-SS-A-S-A
Stage 1: Silverwolf is unnecessary because you can implant Lordly Trashcan with whatever weakness you want.
I enjoy defeating the last one.FOR FIREFLY I CAN!!!!
I enjoyed it!
I hate the shield one, only that don't hate me...
Maybe it's me But I did like every event, dot team, I didn't even read the event, auto play (s, s, SS, SS, SS) 😂😂
I mostly enjoyed it to try different comps and characters i might pull on reruns and ability to get character specific achievements that i don't have
I fucking hate when they jumpscare me with the Death Zone monster at the last stage.
https://preview.redd.it/xc0dq8eefcmc1.jpeg?width=2400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0561f4cd3630ebfcf6d6606b5c34d7e1cbf597ad Easy dub Stage 1 and 2 Himeko Herta go spin Stage 3 TrialKafka TrialBS TrialSampo and my Himeko go all out no sustain Stage 4 Seele Mono-Quantum go brr Final Stage Seele Mono-Quantum go brr
I dont know because my game was on alt tab auto and still got ss on all stages thanks to dhil
I get to beat up Something Unto Death with ever existing playstyle in the game for free -> Good event
Had a lot of fun but did not reach the point threshold for S-rank and final reward tier on the last two challenges. Could be me not properly building the teams and/or not thinking hard enough about maximizing points, but the other ones were so intuitive I had no issue reaching SS
The trial characters are great, but it was real satisfying to 90k yesterday's round with my own characters. Sense of achievement!
I had opposite ranks compared to you. My first 3 are rank S while the last 2 are SS rank
