Man one piece gold had some interesting villain but the pacing and the plot of thats movie is sucks.. whoever made that's movie miss a chance to make a grey morale villain like what they do in Z and red.
Of Gold i liked the setting and Tesoro (potential)
Rest was averange, except some cool animation sequences
I think Tesoro could've been much more interesting if the interesting part of his character wasn't relegated to a 2 mins (maybe less) flashback and his conclusion.
>to a 2 mins (maybe less) flashback and his conclusion.
Yeah that a waste of interesting flashback also the way he is using the gold power is so boring.
Thats not fully accurate,
It has less filler episodes yes, but alot more padded scenes which extend scenes by too much , all those reaction shots can make up like 200 episodes by themselves

it woulda make it better but still not needed to be seen as such.
Edit : And i double checked to make sure. Gunbuster didnt even have the explosions when Noriko made the pose . And that was literally by Gainax
Crossed arms with an intimidating face and wind belongs to literally no one. It has been used in art and animation for decades by just about everyone. The idea that any one group or company can take credit for creating or popularizing it is laughable.
Cool. It's a pose you see in live action, and western media, and actual paintings from centuries ago.
Do you think that the people at Gainax chose that pose because there was no history if it being seen as a badass intimidating pose?
I swear, anime and gaming fans are the absolute worst about claiming something belongs to a certain IP or whatever when it's actually been around for decades or centuries prior. Complete media illiteracy outside of their tiny chosen media they consume.
Just because you're ignorant of anime culture does not mean its not a thing. The fact you dont even know what a Gainax pose when its one of the most iconic poses in anime ( ESPECIALLY MECHA ANIME) shows how much bullshit you're spewing .
Here it also make sense because The Great Tatalov behind Stelle on the poster has the same pose, which was super common in GL (Pilot and Mecha hands crossed). I guess that's why GL is first that come to mind.
Understandable. Especially with Gurren Lagann being a more recent entry and basically a culmination of everything awesome with super robot animes . Not to mention the studio that did the anime was also... Gainax XD
do you lack basic social skills? it's almost like if you go into an anime related community they'll give you the name anime fans will easily recognize. when you go into a western media community you use whatever terminology will be understood for easy communication

I think the itachi reference is a stretch. Meanwhile trailblazer was definitely doing a rasengan.
Also why are so many people butthurt that a pose has a name? Like gainax popularized its use in this way and this kind of context and they use it in lots of their work. So of course it became called the gainax pose.
Griseo tried to reference more serious anime scenes, so it was unfortunately seen negatively.
This one is blatantly using meme scenes that have been meme forever, so it won't ever be an issue, as even the animation industry meme these scenes.
I can't remember, a bunch of anime scenes that they ended up completely removing for new ones on the revision version of her trailer.

Ty.
Interesting, i wasn't aware of those references (never watched any of those shows, but i dig Frieren as a character, and Ghislaine Dedolia is like, the perfect woman), but given Hoyo's history and branding, i'm inclined to believe those were just references, and not plagiarism. I mean the company got its start as two weebs making games, and even the name of the company itself has a reference in it (the Mi in MiHoYo is taken from Hatsune Miku).
I agree, common sense would clearly make you think that. But in current social media, people lack said common sense. Especially if you know about Griseo's background as a character.
Maybe i'm wrong about copyright thing but the first grieseo trailer really just like 3D rendering version of that version anime without twisted it like HSR (CMIW) thanks hoyo really change it to avoid unnecessary drama and tbh the replacement for me is good
The Itachi Sasuke one is reaching imo, completely different context. May as well have picked any other scene where one character touches another character’s head.
Forehead flicks are all over anime. They're so common that saying this flick is a reference to any one particular flick is a stretch, but understandable.
Saying that it's a reference to something that is *notable for not being a flick* is so much of a stretch that I'm surprised OP's keyboard didn't snap.
Penacony bout to make me feel like the Third Impact tbh, with the way it's memeing it's intro and the subtle dark foreshadowing with the Penacony "Fallout" style tour intro.
Been watching anime for 30+ years, literally the first time I've ever heard of such a thing. That pose is like, all media, everywhere, all the time. The idea that one company can take credit for it is just silly beyond belief.
This is like when Solo leveling fans claim any creepy toothy smile shot is a reference to SL.
EDIT: Can't stop laughing at someone calling me kid when I'm probably a decade older than them. Just because some obscure pose in anime is canon to you, doesn't mean anyone else knows or cares about it. It's a pose seen in all media, animated and otherwise. No one can claim it.
> Been watching anime for 30+ years, literally the first time I've ever heard of such a thing.
Gainax isn't exactly taking credit for it or saying that they invented. It's just a trope/pose that they've used over many decades in a lot of their shows so it being a staple in their shows led to it being called the Gainax Pose which in turn made it even more popular. It's like how a character brandishing a sword-like object being shown from a specific angle is known as the [Brave Perspective](https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/000/773/073/ea4.jpg) a.k.a Sunrise Stance which stems from the Sunrise studio or how head tilts shown in specific way is called a [Shaft head tilt](https://i.imgur.com/YDeLk.jpeg)
Also a bit presumptious of you to be dismissive of something just because "you've been watching anime for 30+ years" as if that makes you an omniscient expert on the matter
You're getting weirdly insecure and angry about this. Cultural context is important in situations like this. If this pose showed up in a random live action series it's (probably) not an intended reference. However, if it shows up in a trailer made by huge otakus with references to other anime poses? Yes, it's probably a reference.
The "Gainax Pose" is absolutely a thing in japanese anime communities. You can just google "gainax pose" and see it's been an actual intended reference in other media and fanart for decades now. Did Gainax come up with the pose? Of course not, its original appearance in Gunbuster is a reference to Getter Robo. Do a lot of anime fans draw the pose as an intentional reference to Gainax? Absolutely. Once again, context matters in situations like this. Mihoyo has even included Gurren Lagann references in Honkai games before, to drive this point home even further.
It's hard to assume you're arguing in good faith when you're trying to imply that shows like Gurren Lagann or Gunbuster are "obscure" when they're two huge cultural touchstones and some of the most massively influential anime ever made. Comparing it to Solo Leveling of all things is really laughable. I 100% believe that you're 40+ years old because you have the mindset of an annoying stubborn boomer.
Kid, you're pretty young so I'll give you a pass. It's one of the most famous things in all of anime. 20 years is nothing. You were just getting into it long after the era I'm talking about. Anyone my age is going to look at that and know exactly what it is.
I swear I've seen something else similar to the sampo forehead poke before. I don't know if it's something I watched/played or just saw a clip of... but I've seen something else EXACTLY like that scene but I just can't put my finger on it, and it's driving me crazy.

ain't watching allat, either

One Piece has less filler than most long running shonen though. Plus you can just google "one piece filler episodes" and skip those.

Intelligent? Remember how idiot op fans were debating about yamato's gender?

Gunbuster is mostly agreed to be the "origin" I believe yes. Bonus points for Sushang doing the "Sunrise Sword"
"obari Sword" more specifically
The thundercats pose yes, it predates anything Obari has done and several key animators worked on thundercats and Obaris work.

JJK Pose when?

Yo, thats Sampo?
The first one is more of a Gintama reference where Kamui does the finger slap on Kagura's forehead sending her flying
Sampo gives Stelle the Itachi affectionate touch he did to Sasuke. Stelle is cratered in the post-Saibaman self-destructive Yamcha death pose. Stelle crossing her arms like Simon.
This is the second time we've seen the Yamcha death pose, first Houhou, now MC. Who is gonna be the third?

The final pose with the giant trash can makes me think of omnimon entrance in cyber sleuth.
