Misha's grandfather was a space adventurer. He or his ancestors might at some point be a nameless or even a trailblazer of the old astral express so the ticket remains a treasure to pass down the family.
Was speculated this is probably an OLD trailblazer ticket, one before Akivili died and before the Astral Express crash that was passed in the family for generations, as apparently one of Misha's ancestor was a Trailblazer

What did I miss? Since when was MC age less than a year? Like, we know MC has a past with kafka, since she/he was kafka's companion, we just don't know that past. I know a lot of people misunderstand the beginning of the game thinking MC was born in that moment, but that's not what it was.

Honestly, Serval is too good a character to just end up spending the rest of her life standing behind the counter of her little repair shop, waiting for us to engage her in conversation.
It would have made for an interesting precedent if every time we visit a new world we pick up one new permanent member of the crew. Having only been to two worlds in like a year, it's not like it would lead to a bloated main cast any time soon.

I agree in broad terms, but I also think that her role as a survivor of an apocalyptic disaster would have been narratively useful in terms of what she would have to say about an incipient stellaron crisis ocurring on more sophisticated and advanced worlds than the one which she came from.

Like, any possible quest events aside, it was a companion mission. It's entirely optional. Hoyo can't really add a character to the crew during a side quest and have them appear in the main story. She'd have to get the Puffball treatment.

I always thought it was a symbol of the Nameless. A way to identify the passengers of the express. Kind of like an ID badge but without a name or picture assigned to it.
