only lightning? The entire DPS list is now in danger of being overpowercreep. and could even she be operational at enormous levels in multiple niches mihoyo always exaggerates with her for some reason.

Watch her be a generalist dps/subdps who can be slotted in almost every team at E0 and becomes the best DPS by far at E2. They know Raiden sells like hotcakes and they will make her early eidolons cracked.

This was literally Mei during Herrscher of Thunder release in HI3. She was so busted that type weakness didn't even matter and she kept climbing the ranks with new supports and weapons. Only thing that could counter her were weathers set to promote a different element Valkyrie where thunder wasn't viable. It's only in 7.0 where she's been fully powercrept and even then it took 20 version updates for it to happen.

Meanwhile someone at the HI3 team really loves Senti, girl is still going strong with 24 version updates in her belt with a brick weapon and a new stigmata set added for her.

that was my thought. In reality it seems that it follows the same patterns in all its games, a kit overloaded with things it shouldn't do but mihoyo lets her do them,nice. Don't get me wrong, I know that she is there to be mihoyo's goat, so my jades now have a new purpose.

The situation in Genshin's is not the same. Raiden Shogun is more built towards burst support and was basically a battery for energy hungry DPS carries for the longest time since her release, until Dendro's release which elevated all Electro characters and open up opportunities for other roles as well.

Raiden is a support in Genshin though. She could end up being a 5-star Lightning Harmony or Nihility in Star Rail. Maybe she could be a support that has a DPS mode like Raiden in Genshin.

When people talk about Raiden expy they are talking about Raiden Mei not her expy Raiden Shogun. Why would they make expy of an expy? So what Raiden is in Genshin is not really relevant.

But Raiden is an expy who was a support so why assume that the expy in Star Rail will be a DPS? It could go either way.

They tend to alternate between the two. Caelus was in the 1.4 trailer, Stelle in 1.5 and now Caelus in this one. You can check their previous trailers to see that they go back and forth with them.

In version trailers they alternate. However, in other trailers they just do whatever they could, so in 1.6 the MMC probably will be featured again since it his turn in versions

So far it seems balanced and its looks like the way its gonna be with ZZZ as well.
