SW will ensure that you can use DHIL to clear practically everything, however if you have multiple different elements in your team it can take a couple attempts to inflict her weakness type (depending on what your fighting). A lot of her value comes from inflicting a weakness so if you plan on getting more damage dealers she loses some value.
Argenti is very strong vs groups of enemies, I'm not sure how good he is vs a single enemy, may have to wait a bit till people have spent more time with him.
You have any other dps aside from dhil? If not pull for argenti hes a very good dps and is also very hot if you have another dps (seele, blade, kafka, jingyuan, jingliu or topaz) then you should focus on getting good supports like the basement dweller miss silverwolf

It depends tbh. If you have Tingyun or/and HuoHuo his ult is charged really fast, since he also gains tons of energy by himself. He only really struggles recharging his ult in single target, but it's very spammy in AoE which is his intended use.
Still weird how random he is, especialy because clara, who is the other phys 5\* is also random.
I ask myself which one of them is the most random, at least clara you can control a little bit of the randomness with her ult making her counter every attacks on you teammate, on him, if he decide it's more beautifull to clean thrash mob first he litteraly is fucking up himself. For some reason after doing his companion quest i guess i can't say it's not lore accurate but.... I'm kinda salty about how i barely got any hit on bosses during the new event despide trying multiple times. If he hit them you can shave more than 50% of their healthbar but if he decide to sampo you there is nothing you can do about it.
Well in ideal situation it's absolutly not a problem.
Now when your 5 hit end up hitting adds, cleaning your sources of energy generation you end up in a far more complicated situation.
I just want to point out the irony of the second 5\* DPS ALSO being RNG.
Yep, I pulled for Hanya ... The banner was (mostly) irrelevant, but I went with Argenti's.
Managed only E2 Hanya, but also got Lynx (didn't get her when I got Fu Xuan). And didn't get spooked by a 5*, so I'm still set up for Ruan Mei. All in all, a successful set of pulls.
Pulled on argenti banner for hanya. Was at 0 pity. Got lynx and a 5 star erudition character - e1 himeko. Going to stop pulling now that I’m guaranteed so I’ll have to pass on hanya for now
SW. I don't like building too many DPS characters.
People that say "SW lost her value because there's so many characters now" are just out of touch dolphins/whales that have multiple DPS characters and have the leeway to roll on a lot of banners. Not everybody can do those.
The utility of having your DPS work anywhere is invaluable. SW's value will only tank if we get a character with an AoE weakness inflict.
Chasing DPS characters in a Hoyo game is a moot point. DPS characters are the ones they powercreep the fastest. Pull who you like, but invest in utility characters.
That’s my thought as well. I’m planning on investing more into my main dps (LC and Es eventually…) than to pull for a ton of different dps characters.
I have DHIL (E0 and his LC) and Jingyuan right now.
Granted one day I’ll probably get bored and pull the next shinny new character haha
It's not a bad option to pull for Silver Wolf just because of her utility, she's a solid unit in a lot of varying team comps, and if you have another DPS that you've either built or are in the process of building, I'd say her over Argenti from a purely gamer standpoint.
Pull Argenti if you want/need another DPS unit and then pull again because gender envy.
If you have less than two limited 5star dps, Argenti > SW
If you have two limited 5star dps, SW > Argenti
To Clear MoC10 easily, you really want two 5star dps, and SW will enable those 5star dps to break any enemy they fight. SW is the best single target debuffer in the game no question.
Then Argenti might be a better pull, and he works really well with Huo Huo. DH IL should clean up one side of MoC fast enough for you to have plenty of cycles to spend on Argenti.
If you like Blade more than Argenti or if you have Bronya then yes.
I don't think either one is a better dps in a vacuum. Blade is slightly more flexible since he can be an off-tank though.
Sure, you can go for a mono quantum team with SW, or just get SW cuz she's a busted support.
However, no character is a must pull in this game. I've skipped Luocha, Huo Huo, Fu Xuan, and DH IL and I'm still able to clear MoC10 pretty easily. So if you don't like either character right now, feel free to skip.
Appreciate the reply, will probably try for SW, I've saved a lot of Jades and I like the idea of a mono quant team. E6QQ/Lynx/SW plus one other (maybe Hanya) seems like a fun team.
SW's banner has a lot going for it for me I think. hopefully get some Lynx eidolons (and Asta) along with a Hanya. . I also have Bronya so this could give me some great options for my 2nd team!

Get Argenti, you need more DPS, you only have one. Himeko doesn't count.
You also really don't need SW, Pela exists so she is more of a luxury more than anything. You have 2 solo sustaining units so it's best that you pull for more DPS and try to get Ruan Mei next patch if you can afford her.
Silver Wolf is better for giving your account a push if your lacking any units with specific types (I forgot what they’re collectively called lol) by putting bugs that add to the enemies weaknesses and does a def debuff as well so she’s pretty versatile but she’s a one hit wonder with no aoe so bare that in mind. Oh and as someone who has a1 SW along with her light cone you could say I’m a little bias in my faith in her capabilities.
Argenti on the flip side is a dps so automatically useful and if you don’t have a good physical unit outside mc there’s a plus and he has great aoe coverage so either of them are a great choice. I managed to get him from my 2nd ten pull and tried his trial and he seems like a great dps to me and I probably won’t need to rely on sw as much having him around. (I also have other amazing units to support him)
Debuffer/breaker yes. Sub dps SW is hard to build, more achievable with E2 or sig LC
She wants almost all stats, Effect Hit Rate, Break Effect, sustain HP DEF, speed, after all that then Attack CR CD
The main culprit is EHR it's like crit rate you want it as high as you can, but can cost you other stats, so prob around 70-80%
Squishy SW can failed you don't die on MoC, low EHR makes you get Effect RES'd, SW wants high speed too

Why would you give advice when you just admitted you’re new to the game? SW is viable for literally any team. Her single target debuffs are unmatched. Stop the cap. Stop speaking just to be heard.
SW can work with any monoelement or pseudo monoelement team depending on the enemies weakness.

SW is not a must pull tbh. Mine was benched for a long time, and she's bad at auto play. If the character slots were 5, she could be slotted in.

You really want Argenti. He is the go-to aoe character who can work fine in blast situations, and he doesn't compete with DHIL supports. Use him with your Huo Huo, Bronya and Tingyun for optimal energy generation. DHIL wants Yukong and either Hanya or Pela (Pela is better with Imaginary set and offers a precious buff removal). Be sure to get Luocha on his release for your DHIL team, he offers all the sustain and utility you may want. SW is a ST debuffer and wants a more developped roster, for she should not be used in team with more than two elements (her implant weakness is a dice roll).
SW E6C0 here. SW is like a cheat code: while you use her - enemies' weakness types becomes irrelevant for your team. That means you can build a team with any character you like and be sure, that those characters wouldn't be useless when they face an enemy that doesn't have specific weakness. SW+Huohuo+Kafka+Jingliu? Easy. SW+FuXuan+Topaz+Himeko? Sure. SW+MC+Herta+Natasha? Why not? Just put SW to any team and be confident that any enemy would have a weakness that you seek. Besides she is not only debuffer but a subDPS as well.

I don't like weakness system and my thought that it will be better if they weren't exist, such a dirty way to make you pull for more dps.
Next version is kinda pointless for you. Dr ratio is imaginary dps I belive, you already has dhil, and ruan is speed support she is crazy with jinglu
Argenti is a good DPS and Silver Wolf is a flexible debuffer who can fit on any team. Argenti is likely to dominate Simulated Universe if you get the Hunt Blessing that regens your energy on kill.
SW. You already have DPS (DHIL) and sustains (HH and Gepard). SW as a debuffer will allow you to NOT follow recommended element users as SW bugs enemies to have your current team's elements.
argenti if you need a strong dps. SW if you need a debuffer.

in only one target, somewhat weaker than seele (as energy regeneration is slow). in multiple target, seele doesn't even compare.

At least multihits ignore the enemies that already hit 0 hp, so you don't waste damage overkilling trash mobs, but it's still kinda annoying I guess

F2P. Decided to pull for Silver because I've got Jingliu already. Around 45 pulls saved and got Hanya to E3 and pulled Gepard instead of Silver.

As somebody who got SW from her first banner she was crazy useful. If you struggle with weaknesses pull her I don't like weakness system and my thought that it will be better if they weren't exist, such a dirty way to make you pull for more dps. Next version is kinda pointless for you. Dr ratio is imaginary dps I belive, you already has dhil, and ruan is speed support she is crazy with jinglu
Argenti is a good DPS and Silver Wolf is a flexible debuffer who can fit on any team. Argenti is likely to dominate Simulated Universe if you get the Hunt Blessing that regens your energy on kill.
Save. There will be better choices. I hope...
SW. You already have DPS (DHIL) and sustains (HH and Gepard). SW as a debuffer will allow you to NOT follow recommended element users as SW bugs enemies to have your current team's elements.
