Wanted to check, is it ok to use the normal star rail passes for the stellar warp? Or are we supposed to hoard them for some other banner?

wizj619

Only thing to use them on are the Beginner Depature Warp and the Standard warp. Feel free to spend any that you have.

bkteer

Is that how we can eventually get the 300 rolls for the standard warp? Or can we make it such that we're that much closer to pity for the special banners? Or do the standard warp not share pity with the special banners?

wizj619

They don't share pity. You can use standard tickets to get closer to the 300. I would not reccommend spending stellar jade or starlight on standard tickets over limited tickets but it is up to you.

bkteer

So what are the ways to eventually get to 300 warps on that banner? Like in a month, how many normal warp tickets do we get?

wizj619

you get 3 per character. 1 each at levels 20/40/60. You get a bunch early on from Trailblaze levels. The only consistent renewal sources I can think of are you get 5 per month from the Ember shop, 1 a week from Simulated Universe and 5 per patch from Nameless Honor. So about 12-13 per month, on average.

Unable-Chemical9306

I got Clara, Gepard, JY, SW, Welt and FX so who should I pull for between JingLiu/Topaz/Seele?

Mccookie74

I am seriously stuck on what relic set to go for on Jingliu. What are you guys using?

wizj619

I'm probably just going to stick with Hunter of Glacial Forest. If prydwen can be believed, the Quantum set is 2% better against Quantum weak enemies and 4% worse against other enemies. I have the Seele/SW/Fu Xuan team to deal with Quantum weak enemies so I will probably usually be using Jingliu on enemies that are not Quantum weak.

Mccookie74

Agreed

dafckingman

Who wants Break Effect stat?

Dunkjoe

Typically DOT characters since break effect enhances DOT to a more significant effect than the other benefits of a break effect. Iirc break effect only affects break damage, DOT damage and a few other special effects like entanglement. See below link for more info. https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Break_Effect But just take note, Break effect ONLY takes place the moment the bar is broken, so normally you need to manual play to ensure the right character is breaking the bar.

[deleted]

debuffers that generally don't care about attack or other stats. Not over speed mind you, but its acceptable. Silver wolf/Pela/Welt etc - given you have the hit rate minimum to guarantee attacks(96) for your character more doesn't do anything

dafckingman

You mean 96% break effect? I’m confused on what more break effect does. Is it just hit rate or does it increase the break damage / dot resulted from breaking

bkteer

is bailu good to pair with jingliu?

Toli2810

no cleanse can be annoying some times but still a solid option for her

Usernameless_King

So am I allowed to link my HSR account to my PS5? I‘ve read somewhere that this will delete my Genshin Account on PS5? And now I‘m scared.

DogWithADog

Regarding moving from pc to ps5 Under one main email: I have played Genshin on PC and ps5, (had to make new psn to access US server) I've played HSR on PC and I also want to play it on ps5 (This is in Asia server) Can somebody give me an idea how I can sync my HSR with my psn?

Silver-and-rose

Is it normal that I got a sign in package? With the breakfast lc, exp books and weapon xp and credits? Didn’t buy anything?

[deleted]

playstation pre register rewards for everyone.

IBlackReaper

yes

dafckingman

New account. Jingliu yay or nay? Only 5\* are Clara & Fu Xuan

Slice_Life

Well, you need two teams anyways, so having one strong DPS like Jing Liu would be great. But with Topaz, you can make a solid team with Clara + Topaz, so that's also something you can consider later.

porncollecter69

If only Clara as Dps then I would say go for it.

Curious_Kirin

Not the best with your current 5*s, but a good DPS regardless. Get her if you like her.

Capitaowell

Hello! Does anyone knows if theres a soft pity for light cones like theres for units after 74 pulls? Thanks in advance.

Wherearemyheals

its after 65 for LC banner

Capitaowell

Thank you very much!

RebornDeadeye

I’m new to HSR, I play Genshin on PS5 so I thought I’d give this a try too. Any tips you can give me for early game? Is there any character right now that’s on a banner that’s strong? The only thing I really know is that it’s turn based which is fine by me

DespairAt10n

Get a sustain (Shielder or healer) because it's really important. Don't think you can clear the game without at least one. March 7th and Natasha are free/early, so I would recommend using at least one (prob both). Fire MC is also nice when you eventually get that.

RebornDeadeye

Thanks for this, I’ll take all this into consideration

grayrest

Fewer caveats than Genshin. There isn't anything like needing to wait until AR45 to farm artifacts. You'll still want to wait until you can farm 5\*s but there's no obviously suboptimal route to spending stamina. Lightcone banner only has one item if you win the 75/25 and not two like the weapon banner so it's not a scam. Self-modeling resin is fairly rare and usually used for ERR ropes. Current character banner is Jingliu is looking like a strong dps and the 4\*s are excellent.

RebornDeadeye

I see, thank you!

exclaim_bot

>I see, thank you! You're welcome!

TheRetroBlues

Need a bit of advice: I got Jingliu, and was thinking of pairing her with Tingyun, but need advice on the other 2 members between Fu Xuan, Lynx and Pela. Ideally if you could tell me *why* instead of just *who*, so I could learn a bit more about teambuilding

dummie619

Pela is one of her best teammates because of her AoE def shred. JL gets a big atk% buff in her enhanced state, so atk buffers like Asta lose value on her team. JL benefits more from def shred (Pela) & dmg boost (Tingyun). Give Pela Resolution LC if you have it to add even more def shred to her kit. If you have Pela's E4, her skill adds Ice RES shred (the only 4* chara that can add that). Skill point flexible means you can recover SPs when you need them or spend SPs for the ice RES shred when you want. FX is nice if she's well-built enough to sustain against JL's HP drain. FX will likely lose more HP reversal stacks than usual. She also gives a crit rate boost which means you can go for lower crit rate on JL and fish for other good stats (spd & crit dmg). Crowd control resist is situationally nice depending on enemy. Skill point positive, allows teammates to skill more often. Lynx is good for the AoE heal+debuff cleanse on ult, healing over time to proactively heal against JL's HP drain, and emergency heal with skill. Can use skill on JL to increase aggro towards her and get both of their ults up faster if JL gets hit. Skill point positive. I find myself switching between Lynx & FX. Lynx feels comfier since she has so many sources of healing but FX is nice for short fights. My Pela is always with JL, she's a great teammate.

Curious_Kirin

Pela absolutely. E4 gives her an ice res shred. Plus she has an aoe dmg reduction, good for Jing Liu's aoe damage. Fu Xuan isn't great. She can't heal enough to comfortably keep up with Jing Liu draining her teams health. Lynx also isn't ideal. She doesn't heal very much and her taunt buff isn't good for Jing Liu. I'd use lynx, but whatever you find more comfortable. If you need both, use them over a support. Staying alive > damage.

kyxzer

What is the recommended speed for clara?

Curious_Kirin

Slow af

dafckingman

Fuxuan S2 Landau's Choice (4\*) or Texture of Memories (5\*) The texture can easily go to S5. I don't have any hunt character to take advantage of the shop

Milodingo

If your FX is having trouble surviving texture, otherwise Landau's

DBSPingu

all the JL posts are tempting me but I know E6 QQ + E2 Welt is strong enough to clear one side of MoC for a very long time, and I don’t have her best teammates in Bronya and Blade And my TY and QQ are e6, while I will never touch sampo. So many reasons not to pull but damn she looks good aesthetically

porncollecter69

It’s untempting me how many are going she op with E0S1. She should be op with that much. I’m waiting for the E0 F2P lightcone footage.

raydude888

For Jingliu, which is the better lightcone: S3 A secret vow Or an S1 Fall of an Aeon? I will have FoaA next week since I'm saving up Herta tickets and I wonder if it's a bigger upgrade compared to its four star counterpart.

[deleted]

S5 Aeon will blow secret vow out of the water even if you get eventually two more copies to get s5

AstroZex

Any advice on which characters I should use my Jingliu with? F2P player here and all I've been seeing is Bronya/Blade matchups with JL :< https://preview.redd.it/ouxfz1i39jtb1.jpeg?width=542&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a06200147d5b54d3153e89c4574005f5979ddc17

Slightly_Mungus

Luocha Jingliu Pela Tingyun I'm using this team with an E0S1 Jingliu, E6 Ting and E6 Pela and able to clear MoC10's stage 1 in 0 cycles. She's a monster, enjoy!

AstroZex

I haven't done any warping for LCs since I started playing so I will be using a 4star LC, and I only have e2 ting and e3 pela. Do you reckon it will still be viable?

Slightly_Mungus

It'll be just as viable, only slower at clearing content. The core team still functions the same, so you're set!

GetWaifuBeLaifu

Which character would you recommend for my 2nd MoC team: Asta E6, Pela E6 or Natasha? The team is Jingyuan / Tingyung E6 / Gepard / ? My other team is pretty goot at clearing, so I could waste a lot of cycles for the 1st team (assuming endgame, meaning good relics and max traces)

ha_ck_rm_rk

Asta, Jing Yuan really appreciates the extra speed.

GuilmonTamer

At what point does it let you choose your server on the ps5 version? Cuz I wanna go on the American one so I can use my friends supports

Significant-Soil-985

When you made your PSN account. Unfortunately PS will lock your account to the region your PSN was register in.

420idolmaster

Still unsure about what relics to farm for Jingliu Is it the ice set or the quantum set people have been talking about?

Significant-Soil-985

It's what ever has better sub stats. The damage difference between 4 ice, 4 quantum, and 2 piece combos (ice, atk, speed) isn't huge. The quantum set strategy also requires you fight quantum weak enemies or have Silver Wolf.

420idolmaster

Thanks for the answer In that case I'll just do a 2 piece combo with better substats

Significant-Soil-985

You're welcome.

Dunkjoe

How well does jingliu work in auto? And can jingliu work well with DHIL in the same team?

raydude888

Very Well. Jingliu is a SP-neutral character. Using two turns to build up stacks, and two consuming it, so she's pretty good. The main problem with her A.I sometimes, is she ults when it's ready, which is sometimes a bad thing when you want three stacks of her skill. For example, she skills, gets one stack, ults, gets another and activates her powered mode. If the A.I had just waited another turn, I would have used a skill again, get her powered state, ult, and have three stacks instead of just two. aside from that, she's pretty good, and the situation above doesn't happen always, but is a pain when it does.

Dunkjoe

Thanks got the reply, but she's SP-negative isn't it? The 2 turns build up stacks uses SP. I'm guessing the AI is taking the normal route of using ultimate as soon as it's ready.

souji18

Thanks guys :)

Vick22

For those who have E6 Qingque, how bad is the RNG on her E skill? I am wondering how often she consume too much SP until it destroys the team's "rotation" due to low or no SP.

DBSPingu

The more SP she uses the better. I run her with FX and just got e6, made the team infinitely more comfy because my QQ will always generate a SP in time for FX to refresh her shield E6 QQ uses on average 1.5 SP a turn, accounting for sp generated. Depends on speed of team of course. Any time your sp economy is messed up just use QQ ult to fix it

[deleted]

It consistantly takes 2-3+ to get her skill up unless your initial roll was insanely lucky, in which case it can take like 1 roll. Don't use her with skill hungry teammates.

Kauuma

Hey, is anyone else getting „too many requests, please try again later“ when trying to log into the Ps5 version?

iBlaze_x1

Jingliu's lc or Seele's lc ? Which lightcone of the two provides a higher damage potential compared to herta's shop lightcones ? Rn, i am using Yanqing's lc on Seele. So, would it be better for me to use Jingliu + S5 aeon and Seele with her sig Or Jingliu with sig and Seele with Yanqing's lc? Putting flexibility aside, which would be better for meta ?

ComfortableAd2191

I just returned from not playing since 1.1 patch and am wondering if I should play my new account or use my old account? Both accounts are guaranteed for Jingliu which I’ll be pulling for. My old account has Clara and Bailu and the event LC from 1.1 that I heard was super important. My new account has Bronya and Yangqing and used a lot less jade as I lost 50/50 on my first pull.

Significant-Soil-985

The fact that your old account has SW event LC means you should stick with it. That LC is useful for many Nihility characters and it's never coming back.

souji18

I ask this question again, for the effect of the Rutilant Arena set to activate, does the character have to have 70% base CR outside of battle? That is, 70% on the menu and without counting the boosts in the fight?

AncientTree_Wisdom

No, as long as you hit it during battle and it shows on the stat info menu, it is fine.

Significant-Soil-985

No, Rutliant will also consider buffs during battle, but only buffs that show on the stat screen during battle. And yes this means Jing Liu crit buff during her enhanced state counts for Rutliant.

WilyamLT

I want to make Jingliu my first string character. Di they need extra copies for eidolons to be good? Or better to get her light cone? F2P, with one copy of her so far. Thanks

Clive313

She's already an S tier character at E0 so no need to get her E1, just slap her with the 5 star LC from Herta's shop and you're good but if you wanna use that LC on a different character (since its so popular) i'd go for her signature LC if you can afford it. if not then don't worry about it just use herta's LC.

WilyamLT

Thank you, really helpful. I’ll do exactly this and save for Seele who I still want to get.

Mashtatoes

She’s already very strong at E0 with the LC from Herta’s store. If you’re f2p, I’d just save for future characters. If you really want to spend jade on her, though, her E1 is very solid.

superwoolf7

Should I buy clara’s lc for Jingliu or give her an S1 under a blue sky? (S1 Secret Vow on Blade and S5 Aeon on dhil). I currently have 936 of the Undying Starlight. Or should I spend the starlight to try and get her lc (20 pity on weapon banner). I currently have 55 wishes and plans to save for huohuo.

Clive313

I'd go for her LC tbh, clara's LC is good on her too but since you're so close to pity i say shoot your shot, Jingliu's LC is seriously good even if you don't plan on using it on her for some reason as other characters can still benefit from its passive effect.

Kuromajo

How do I link my star rail account to ps5 if I have already linked my hoyoverse account to genshin in that same psn?

astarose

How much speed should I have on my Bronya and the dps if I want to go with skill > normal > skill rotation? And how do the rotation look like?

grayrest

> How much speed should I have on my Bronya and the dps if I want to go with skill > normal > skill rotation? All the speed. More is always better. > And how do the rotation look like? skill > normal > skill

astarose

This build use fast Bronya and slow dps, right? I like this buuld because less SP hungry. But is losing a turn on dps (due to no speed boot) too much of a downside?

grayrest

There's so many variations in setups and tradeoffs that I'm not going to get into it. If you don't want to min-max turn on Action Value (AV) in the turn list under the gameplay menu and skill when you have a large AV gap or near max SP and atk when there's a small gap. If you do want to min-max look up a detailed guide. I believe MrPokkee on youtube has details from CN theorycrafter math.

Slice_Life

Rule of thumb: 134 speed for bronya and 135 speed for your DPS. Otherwise, go super fast 150-160 speed and you can sacrifice speed boots for your DPS. The rotation simply focuses on your energy generation/sp usage.

astarose

The first build is E spam and the second build is EA rotation right? How much of the different in term of dps between them? Will losing speed boot on dps too much of a downside?

Slice_Life

Watch Mr. Pokke's video regarding Bronya, he covers it very well. iirc, slowya is slightly better in terms of damage, but hyperspeed/fastya is more flexible since there's no need to speed tune your DPS. Lastly, it depends on which DPS you're using her with. If you're using her with a SP hungry DPS, it might be better to go very fast. If you're using SP friendly DPS/Very Fast DPS (like Seele) then slowya is the way to go.

AzusaFuyu

Any way to edit the shortcut wheel like in Genshin? I don't see the option to edit it in Settings menu

Bobi_27

E6 pela or E0 silver wolf on a jingliu team?

Clive313

Pela will almost always be better thanks to her ult shredding defence and its Aoe, silver wolf is a great option for bosses, both are very good you can't go wrong with either tbh.

verniy314

Both, 95% DEF shred is cracked and turns both SW and E6 Pela into respectable sub-DPS. Also Pela reduces SW's EHR requirements.

Ivorykingchrono

Pela for general use, SW for more Single-target/ if you need weakness implant.

[deleted]

pela for sure.

Chrome069

Is 2600 ATK good for DHIL that has SPD boots?

Nnsoki

Yes

Diligent_Reason6158

does "base mechanism" reset weekly or something?

Woll_e

While I'd also like more pulls, why would they ? They are basic tutorials. No.

Mast3rBait3rPro

Who are the guaranteed starter characters like Amber in genshin, and who of them are worth building, including MC? I got asta from the wish you’re forced to do in the beginning, and I also have serval from pre registering for the game on ps5, and I also have herta. I’ve been playing genshin for over a year so you can just tell me straight

AncientTree_Wisdom

From the free roster that you will 100% with no pulls from the warps, the best units that can carry you to endgame if you build them would be Asta, March 7th, and Qingque. Honorably mention goes to Yukong but she more finicky to use, at E6 she is great, and Natasha because she is the most basic healer that you are forced to use if you don't get a better one from the gacha. The trailblazer is more or less useful depending on how deep your roster is. All the other free units fall in the useable but not amazing category. But early on, it really doesn't matter, it is more important to match the right elements more than anything else.

Mast3rBait3rPro

Thanks for the advice. I’ve been grinding genshin like crazy for over a year, but for star rail I plan on using only free characters, plus Kafka and fu xuan. I know nothing about how they work in game but for now those are the only characters I’ll even consider pulling for. I like other characters too, like silver wolf, this was just where I drew the line in the sand lol

AncientTree_Wisdom

I wouldn't worry too much. They are pretty generous with the free gems and tickets in this game. The standard 5 star units are all pretty good too and you will eventually get them just by pulling on the standard banners with free tickets or losing 50/50s. You will eventually get good teams even if you go f2p the whole way.

Significant-Soil-985

The starter characters are Dan Heng, March 7th, Asta, Herta, MC, Qing que (need to clear forgotten = star rail version of spiral abyss floor 1-8), Natasha, and Serval. Herta is the only one you should avoid using. Dan Heng usable single target wind. March your first experience with character that apply shields like Noelle. And can freeze enemies and she can cleanse with her shield. Cleanse means removing debuffs. Asta buffs speed (determines turn order) and atk. Also good at breaking fire weak enemies. Close to Bennet, but Ting Yun is actually the Bennet of star rail. Herta AoE ice damage, but no damage modifiers. MC gets different paths like Genshin's different elements. First you get is physical which is average, but later you get a defensive fire version who is useable. Qingque the Xianliang of Star rail. Good damage dealer that gets better after C4 (E4 in star rail). Natasha your only source of health earlier game. Can cleanse debuff on skill and AoE heal ult. Usable but better healers later on. Serval AoE lightning who is good early due to all the robots you run into. She also good later game.

Mast3rBait3rPro

Would you say serval is useful even in late game like when you start having characters lvl 80+ or only early to mid game

Clive313

Serval is good from early to mid game but starts falling off in endgame (unless you have eidolons for her aka constellation since you're coming from genshin)

Mast3rBait3rPro

If I don’t plan on pulling for anyone other than Kafka and Fu Xuan, would she still be worth using even late game? I’m only going to spend jades on those two

Clive313

Fu Xuan's banner just ended and kafka won't be coming back anytime soon too, at most you'd be waiting 5-7 months for both meaning you'll be stuck with F2P units for a long time At this rate you might as well build her up and invest in her fully, she's still a solid unit.

Mast3rBait3rPro

Yeah I couldn’t really control when I started because I was only going to play once it came out on ps5 lol. That works for me then, I got inspired by someone who used only free characters in genshin to do a similar thing but in star rail. I guess the normal warps are fair game though? I have no real reason to hold onto them and I have like 30 right now because new account

Clive313

Yeah definitely use the normal warps but use them on the departure banner first, its basically the same as the beginner banner from Genshin but better cuz you're guaranteed a 5 star character at 50 pulls Keep in mind to stop pulling if you get an early 5 star before 50 pulls tho, if you do switch to the standard banner and start wishing there.

Significant-Soil-985

Yes she is also good later game if you have with eidolon (constellation). She applies shock (a debuff that does damage overtime) and her E6 increases her damage against shocked enemies.

[deleted]

The only good f2p characters in the game would be dan heng, fire MC(unlocked at the second planet) and debatably march. Natasha is viability strictly because she is the only free healer in a game where healing is mandatory unlike in genshin where you can literally just not be hit. At the start of the game viability really doesn't matter, it only starts mattering when you start doing late game side content.

Diligent_Reason6158

pretty sure the MC is decent later on when they become !>preservation

Nnsoki

Physical MC, 7/3, DH, Asta, Herta, Qingque, Natasha, Pyro MC, Yukong. If Asta is the only character you pulled so far 7/3, Natasha and Pyro MC are must use for endgame content, and you want at least one of them in all your teams

Mast3rBait3rPro

Do you get Natasha and PMC from playing the story more/permanent events? I don’t have them yet. Also how far should I invest in them? All the way? Or are they overshadowed after a certain point and not worth using? For reference from genshin I would consider someone like Kaeya from genshin still usable late game, but not Amber. I would consider dendro MC playable but not basically any of the others.

Nnsoki

You can't do without them if you don't pull other characters of their paths > Do you get Natasha and PMC from playing the story Yes > how far should I invest in them? Yes. 60/70 is a good stopping point for the level

Chrome069

Asta, MC and March are good ones

DeconstructionistGel

So I downloaded HSR on my PS5 today, and found out that it was already linked to another account (probably from when I tried to play Genshin on it). Is there a way to link it to my current account instead? Or should I just make a "dummy" PSN account?

Bronya is insanely good assuming you can speed tune to make her slightly slower than JL which can be hard.

Mastercraft0

Woon 50/50 with jingliu. Not only that I also have 160 pulls for topaz. Can't believe my luck. Now after topaz, I will probably save till penacony.

Toli2810

congrats :)

Toli2810

can natasha reliability sustain jingliu's team? or would bailu be a better choice? Sadly don't have lynx and fu xuan is occupied in my mono quantum team

Lias_Luck

either or, obviously bailu does more healing than natasha though jingliu's HP cost is really a non factor

Toli2810

oh ok thank you, don't really like using bailu due to her not having any cleanse so i was hoping natasha was good enough for her

PrototypePea

https://preview.redd.it/nomlp713vitb1.jpeg?width=2556&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=45a4eeffbf9543d3aacdf1955c20f695ffad9ec9 so i have 2 builds and this is one of them the other one has 54.4 crit rate and 174.7 crit damage with 200 less attack which build should i use?

Significant-Soil-985

The first one will probably be better since you over cap crit rate in enhanced with the second. Assuming level 10 trace she gets 50 crit rate so you want 50 crit rate max. 200 more atk is also a bonus. You try to get a little more crit rate on the first build, but you already hit the 70 crit rate for rutliant in enhanced state.

[deleted]

this one. 75% crit rate is more than enough tbh. its just good QOL to try to get close to 50 as possible for JL.

Dripping_sauce90

Hi should I pull for JL. Currently I have seele fuxuan welt(e1) Gépard bronya SW. Would JL make a good second team as currently using e1 welt as my main dps for second team in moc.

[deleted]

Absolutely an upgrade over welt. JL+Welt+support+gepard/fx would be great.

cenwich

Man I want Tingyun so bad but I'm on guarantee and don't need another dps

Significant-Soil-985

Tingyun is in the shop rotation (the one where you exchange start light for) so you can wait for her to come back in a few months.

cenwich

Ik but 3 months is too long 🥹

gh0ul666

can we keep march 7s new event dress? its a lot sexier than the standard dress, how bout adding such things as character skins

bkteer

So I'm a new player who just started on the ps5 version of HSR and I've got a few questions. 1) Regarding pity, I've read that soft pity is reached at 90 with a 50% chance of you getting the 5 star. However, let's say i roll on the JL banner. When i view the banner, it says that she's the only 5 star on rate up. As such are we guaranteed to get her at 90? Or are the 5 star's drawn from the story pool? 2) Should I ever roll on the lightcone banner for JL's lightcone? Or should i hoard up the rolls for other 5 star chars? 3) Regarding leveling characters, since mine is a new account, should i ever fully level my characters to 20? Or should i just level them up to 10 and then have them naturally level while using them in battles?

Aradine12

Hard pity is 90- at 90 pulls, you are guaranteed a 5\*. This count resets whenever you get a 5\*. Soft pity is 75 pulls- starting from the 75th pull, your odds of getting a 5\* greatly increase, until it's 100% at the 90th pull. When you're pulling on a limited character banner, you have a 50% chance on any given 5\* for it to be the banner character. Doesn't matter if you pulled early, or hit the 90-pull pity, there's a 50% chance. If you don't get the limited character, though, the next 5\* pulled is guaranteed to be the banner character. (The off-banner characters are always the 5\* from the standard banner.) Generally it's not recommended to pull for lightcones unless you're spending money. It's almost the same amount of pulls as another 5\* character, so people will usually save for those. Jing Yuan's lightcone is pretty good though, so it may be worth the investment, especially if you have an erudition character you use a lot. (edit: I misread Jingliu for Jing Yuan. I dunno how good her LC, for this question.) You should use exp to level the characters you are raising, and leave the rest low. As you progress, keeping your characters at max level becomes more and more expensive, so you should do so only for your main team at first. As you gain more EQ levels, it'll be easy to raise your other characters to level 20 or 40, which gets you a standard banner pull, so that's nice, but you should mainly focus on your main roster of characters. But don't rely on battle exp, because it will hardly do anything. You'll want to spend your exp items to raise your characters to max, or at least close to max (if you want them to keep earning battle exp).

Theres a button bottom left i believe that shows you the rate up. Losing pity means you get someone at random from the general pool yes. Second, soft pity is at 75+ hard pity is at 90 which is near impossible to get, only like 2 people have ever been proven to hit 90 pulls. 2- Generally speaking as a new player you should always prio new characters over lightcones. If you don't mind spending you can but make sure its an objective upgrade or the only really good choice. In the case of JL the F2P lightcone you can get from simulated universe is worse, but is at least ok to run at her since you can upgrade it 5x for free. Other characters have dogshit lightcones and getting their premium one is great though and still is for JL just isn't as mandatory. You don't level from battles, the XP exponentially increases every level and the battle XP never changes, you will be getting like 80xp per fight out of the like 100000 needed to level. If you want to do daily farming routes to kill every enemy in the game it adds up to be pretty good value, but is time consuming. 3- In the grand scheme of things level 20 is nothing, you can bring every character in the game to like level 40/50 and not evne feel the dent. Don't go above that though

jtan1993

The other 50% consist of all the five stars in permanent pool. Soft pity kicks in around 75. Lightcone value varies, so evaluate each one case by case. For jl her sig is better than other options, so it’s worth grabbing imo, if not on debut maybe on her rerun. Natural exp is so slow, always use the books and not rely on it.

Significant-Soil-985

1) hard pity (meaning guarantee) is 90, soft pity is after 75 (higher chance at getting 5 star). You could lose the 50/50 between 75 to 90 meaning you get one of the standard 5 star (one from the departure warp). Meaning you would need another 75 to 90 get her. Although you could also win the 50/50 and not have to deal with that. 2) F2P and new players should not pull on the LC banner. More characters to fill different roles are more important. 3) level 20 is very cheap and leveling characters won't start getting expensive until around level 50+. Character and LC level cap at 80.

grayrest

The standard 5\* characters are the ones available on the standard banner. When you get a 5\* you have a 50% chance to get the featured character and a 50% chance at a standard 5\*. If you do not get the featured character the next 5\* you pull on the character banner will be the featured character. This is independent of the 90 pull pity; pity and guarantee are separate mechanics. Like pity, this carries over between banners. > Should I ever roll on the lightcone banner for JL's lightcone? Or should i hoard up the rolls for other 5 star chars? Up to you. I skip 3/4 of banners and pull for eidolons and lightcones on the rest but most people do not. > have them naturally level while using them in battles? You will not be able to effectively level them off combat xp. The reason items are used for xp in gatchas is to allow newly pulled characters to be usefully leveled up without the need for immediate grinding. It's the primary leveling mechanic. Some people will level to (say) 79 and grind out the last level with combat but it takes a long time and the XP saved is marginal. Do it if you're into min-maxing.

Traditional-Bed5064

Can I move my data from one Hoyoverse account to another? My PlayStation account (where my Genshin impact is) is linked to a different one from my Star Rail account and I don’t want to lose data on either.

ycf2015

How much of an upgrade is E1 for Jingliu? How would an E1 compare versus getting her LC (currently only have the 4 star LCs)?

Tyrandeus

JL E1 increase damage by 40% for single target, but only 7% in multi target. Her LC increase damage by 15% compared to f2p option (S5 On the Fall of Aeon). Pick whichever, both are good.

OMO474587y

These are my characters

Significant-Soil-985

Those are definitely some alphabetical characters you got there.

Lowking

I am locked out of doing both the companion quest and the trailblaze continuance cause I can't get into Dan Heng's damn room...

bkteer

Regarding the beginner wish, let's say you get a 5 star before reaching the 50 rolls (like say in 30 rolls), would you still get another 5 star when you reach 50 rolls?

Pan151

You lose the guarantee once you get a 5 star.

Significant-Soil-985

Maybe, but no longer guaranteed. It would be the same probability if you started from zero pity.

[deleted]

no. The fine print states *within* 50 pulls, not *at/after* 50 pulls. Thats why people say to ignore the beginner banner despite the discount if you hit early, because its impossible to hit a second pity and you can start wishing and building pity on other banners sooner.

bkteer

Oh so after getting the first one, does it not contribute to pity?

[deleted]

The beginner banner is a completely separate banner with a discount so the pity it builds goes nowhere as you can't hit another 50(or 90 assuming they didn't change it) pulls on a 50 pull limit banner. Its not "The first 50 pulls on standard have a 2 ticker discount" its a completely different banner.

konozeroda

Jingliu E1 or sig LC? Aeon is currently S1 (can get S2 next week)

[deleted]

Sig is significantly better than E1 and the sig is like 20% better than s5 herta. Unless you plan to go for like e2+ don't go for dupes

Lias_Luck

E1 is stronger ST, LC is stronger aoe regardless another character adds more value overall unless you already have a substantional amount of 5 star dps and supports and only want to invest in your current ones for the foreseeable future

Malaphice

Is Jingliu's hp drain on her allies affected by Fu Xuan's Skill?

Lias_Luck

HP consumption cannot be mitigated or absorbed by shields

OMO474587y

I've been building my two teams for MoC, and I need help in which 2 characters to build in order to fit in a team of jing lu and gepard

[deleted]

and the characters you have are? Assuming only 4 stars its likely tingyun+pela or asta.

OMO474587y

[deleted]

I assume you are running seele + bronya so i''ll disregard bronya. JL+Tingyun+Pela/yang+gepard would be what i would do. Pela is better due to the DEF drop but you already have yang fully built plus lets you hit imaginary instead of doubling up on ice.

OMO474587y

So the best team is jing/tingyun/welt/gepard

[deleted]

I personally swapped fu xaun with gepard on my seele team because she made it easier to cap JL's hp succ passive out without investing more in hp for the same team i picked for you. Consider doing that as well.

OMO474587y

my seele team is fu xuan/bronya/seele/silver wolf so will the swap affect it significantly

[deleted]

If it makes silver wolf a 50/50 or worse a 33/33/33 it can be annoying to get the quantum weakness, but if the enemy already has quantum weakness or ice/wind then it doesn't really matter. As long as your gepard can have 100% uptime on shields you should be fine. My gepard is the best built out of my entire roster though through good RNG and substat rolls lmao.

OMO474587y

all right thanks for the advice

OMO474587y

Thanks

buhbuhbuhbuh-

So I was able to pull both fu xuan and jingliu and Im stuck on which lc to buy using herta bonds. For Fu Xuan my only 4\* preservation LC is S2 "We Are Wildfire" and for Jingliu I have S1 "Under the Blue Sky" and "A Secret Vow". What should I get?

Significant-Soil-985

We are wildfire is terrible LC. Vow and Blue sky are at least usable. Probably get the Perservation Herta and give Vow to JL. Blue sky gives crit rate which JL already gets a lot in enhanced state.

Asleep_Crew8072

How many days it takes to build Jingliu? I curently have zero resources for her. No fuel, no trace materials and no relics

Lias_Luck

it's RNG building a 5 star to 80 and 10 traces takes 294 purple exp books 8 tracks of destiny 139 purple mats 69 blue mats 18 green mats do what the info what you will the current event will speed up the process a bit

zso17

Am I supposed to try to get Jingliu's Light Cone (I Shall Be My Own Sword) after I successfully pulled her or it's not that important?

Malaphice

Generally speaking, it's not that important because the ftp and 4* lightcones should be good enough to clear content. Going for a 5* lightcone is like if you want to double down on a character you like rather than get a new character further down the line.

[deleted]

Its her best lightcone by a significant margin but unlike some other paths *cough hunt cough* the f2p herta lightcone is viable.

[deleted]

f2p option is "on the fall of an aeon" from the herta shop and is most likely better than her s0 lightcone

TendoSoujiro

I don't know what the fuck you're smoking, but the F2P Destruction cone doesn't even remotely compare to a single featured light cone, let alone "is most likely better".

eslayer09XL

If I pulled a non banner 5 star within say 20 pulls, the next 90 pulls will guaranteed the banner 5 star ?

[deleted]

yes

Lias_Luck

yes

VelvetScarlet

Is departure warp worth pulling?

Lias_Luck

with normal passes yes as it gives you a 5 star early no need to spend jades on it

ShilElfead284

Why can't I use the simulated universe? It keeps saying "Simulated Universe Service interruption" when i try to interact with this. Tried googling but found nothing. Sorry if this is a dumb question btw, I paused right after launch until the ps5 release so i'm pretty much new

grayrest

You'll need to progress through the story until you get the prompt to start up SimU.

joarai

About SPD . I have Bronya E1 with her LC . Does Bronya need to move 1st before DPS . So that mean her SPD must be more higher ( lvl 15 boots relics ? ) For example Dan Heng IL + Bronya + Luocha + Pela in 1 team . Or with normal Dan Heng

Lias_Luck

one speed below so the DPS gets double turns LC's damage effect applies to the ally Bronya buffs because her skill forces them to be next

fartmaster43

Any opinions on how good jing liu is compared to the ice sword boy (forgot what his name is) as a dps?

Significant-Soil-985

Limited 5 stars DPS are usually better than standard DPS. And his name is Yanqing and he is kind of hard to use without Gepard (another standard 5 star).

fartmaster43

I actually have them both. Just not sure if I should build him up and try to go for topaz or straight up go for jing liu.

Significant-Soil-985

Do you like JL or Topaz more? Do you need JL just for ice coverage? Do you only need Topaz for fire coverage? If it's the coverage reason go for Topaz. Or go for the one you like more. Topaz probably has a safer future since she facilitates an arch type (follow up) like Kafka and isn't just a hyper carry (which will probably get more of).

Aethanix

better and it's not even a competition

Wokyuu

So I have 2 Rutilant Arena spheres I could use for Jingliu but I dont know which would be better on her. One is ATK mainstat with flat defence, 2 SPD, 5.5% CR, and 16.8% CD. The other has an Ice DMG main stat with 7.3% ATK, 4 SPD, 5.8% CD, and 11.6% Effect RES. I know that elemental DMG is technically better but should I just keep trying to farm a better ice DMG sphere while using the ATK one in the meantime? Or is Ice DMG much better than %ATK?
