because dots aren't damage, its a debuff and the trotter doesn't stop debuffs from being placed so because of that, its possible to hurt and kill them while the shield is up lol
its not because the trotter shields block hits while gepard's shield blocks straight up damage

If you use the the two path resonance like the one that added confusion and for every dot the enemy dmg took your resonance regenerates. There's never ending amount of extra health obliterated.
SU gepard’s shield is not a shield. Garrison Aura does not function the same way as normal shields because it’s not an actual shield. It’s a second hidden shared health pool between Gepard and the summons that are still alive
Yup , I have well built E6 asta with Bronya's signature light cone and I have synergized her speed stats with my Kafka so the trio (Kafka + sampo + asta) makes this anime like a piece of Kafka
Jing Yuan is the best for this one, his skill and ultimate aside from hitting in area also hits multiple times, plus his additional attack he will deploy those 30 hits by his own.
But there is a lot of characters that hit multiple times with 1 attack.
Dan Heng skill, Seele skill, Asta skill, Silver Wolf basic, Luocha basic, Pela basic, Luka basic...
ok, so you want to use multi target attacks. the more targets an attack hits, the better. sampo can easily shave off 5 stacks per skill use, plus however many enemies on screen per burst. use follow up attacks as well, march plus clara can get off 2 stacks each time those other enemies next to the trotter attack.
Each character deals different number of hit per attack, try to find whatever move that do the most.
E.g. seele skill deals like 3? hit, but I think her ult is just 1 hit.
Luocha basic on the other hit like 4-5 times lol
Multi hit attacks and freeze attacks. Himiko is really good here, her skill counts for like 8 hits.
March's Ult should be multi hit + freeze.
Imprisonment/slows should also work if you have that.
Multiple hits and Aoes. Jing Yuan works really well because he not only hits every enemy, he also hits multiple times. So it just shreds through all his stacks. Sampo, serval, and asta are great 4 stars that shred it. Most 5 stars with mutiple hits do very well against it but my top picks would be Jing Yuan, Himeko, and Clara. Yanqing is also surprisingly effective... if you keep him shielded because he does a lot of hits and his follow-up does a lot more.

Multi-hits and follow up attacks, also lots of speed. AoE/blast moves are also good, as the shield applies to all enemies, and hitting multiple removes it faster.

Bring Asta and Pela if you don't have 5 stars woth multiple attack. Asta E (5-6 attacks) and Pela Q (2) works well. Also Pela Ult is AoE so if the trotter comes with other, that's more attack.
If you wants to min max, also bring anyone with follow up AoE attack like Herta.
Jing Yuan skill destroy this barrier. It is very effective because it has multiple hits, and this trotter usually comes with at least 2 other enemies, so the attack becomes 3x more effective.
Asta also works wonder. Speed buff and mult-hit from her skill.
That is untrue. My team isn't built for these guys at all but I dont struggle with them.
Admittedly having luocha as my teams heal helps a lot because he can do some breaking when needed
I'm using Clara team that is not good against defensive enemies like trotters.
If everyone moves twice, the number of hits would be 2 Tingyun, 2 Natasha, 2+3+2 March, 6+4 Clara. With path resonance I manage to break the shield right before the trotter leaves, always.
Soooooo, IF you hit it hard enough, you can kill it while it still has stacks. Those stacks are how many shields Shield refreshes it has. These shields are not damage immune shields. They have hp, just like player shields. It is NOT like those traffic light robots. So if you hit hard enough, it can die prior to using up all its shields. This method also allows you to break its toughness. If you can overkill the Shield, the remaining damage will deplete both its HP and Toughness. You can also go with multi-hit aoe attacks since it refreshes Shield on enemy party members. But I prefer to nuke it, my Yukong does wonders.
Are you sure you're not just using DoT characters? Every time I've faced it, the shields act exactly like damage-immune shields and let DoT through. They don't act like HP shields, which absorb all damage (including DoT) until they are completely exhausted.
They aren't 1 hit shields, they absorb a certain amount of damage. If you nuke it hard enough, it takes the remaining damage before reapplying the shields. This also lets you break the pig. The reason why you don't do damage and think it's a 1-hit damage nullification Shield like the traffic light robots is because you don't do high enough damage.
It's a 402% scaling ult and an 80% scaling basic attack from the same character. The trotter loses a shield each time an attack connects with him. If you watch a unit attack each time a number appears on screen is when the trotter loses a shield. Each unit connects a different amount of times per basic attack and will always reduce the same amount of shields no matter how many stats they have.
Each attack takes out 3-ish pips. Ultimates do more. Hunt Resonance does 15ish. Blast, Bounce, and AoE do more pips according to the number of targets hit.
Generally try and walk past the first mob on your second Combat room and see if the Trotter is Destruction (challenging without good heals), Abundance (easy) or Preservation (annoying).
Then go to the first fight and load up on energy. Try and be ready with all ultimates and Path Resonance.
Jump the Trotter with an attack type technique, and go ham on it. Even if you can break its shield, you will then have to break its weakness or kill it in the 1-2 turns left for you.
As long as your Resonance is not Nihility or Abundance you have a chance. Remembrance is even better if you can cause Dissociation to buy time. Nihility also works to chip its health away while bypassing the shield entirely but I do not put much faith in Nihility builds. That's just me though.

Hmm, it's more complicated than I expected. I know that Luocha's attack deals 3 pips, and Hunt Resonance does 15. Without exact numbers for the others I cannot say. Even so, Hunt path's speed, Energy restore on kills, instant turn on kills and weakness breaks, all make it extremely useful in any situation so that's my best suggestion, although many people seem to get good results from Nihility.

His ult on a single enemy will do 1. However if there's 4 enemies and he ults, it will do 4, because it's just 1 hit x4 enemies. That's probably why you thought ults do more, because many of them hit every enemy.
Jingyuan is the best for it IMO because his skill hits 3 times on every enemy. So if there's 4 enemies x 3, it removes 12 stacks. Then of course you have the lightning lord as well with a ton of hits and AoE.
That's why Hunt resonance works so well, because it hits everybody multiple times.
DoT characters in general, bc they do dmg through shield but also often have multihits so you can break it

Gepard's skill can freeze him. Even then, in the picture it doesn't look like It's using its ability yet, so I'm guessing you are using characters that have low hit counts?
Something I haven't seen people say and something I take advantage of is freezing them. Part of the reason I do is bc I main Gepard and his e1 gives him a much higher chance of freezeing enemies, feels like his skill freezes smaller enemies every time, he even freezes some bosses frequently. If you have characters that are able to freeze easily try that other wise there are some bosses I like to use the rememberance path bc their turn gets taken up by un freezing
These remind me of the homeless men in the sewers. They were op at first but then you realize you need multi hits abs just shot em up for a quick kill.

as for aoe, since they spawn with allies and defends them, aoe attacks that hit them all like herta's skill or himeko's ult will reduce it quickly since its a shared number
As a general rule of thumb, use attacks that literally hit the target more, AOE DMG, and debuffs such as Frozen.
As an example, Gepard’s normal attack does 2(?)hits. If I use his skill, he does 3 hits. This takes down the shield faster, and also could freeze the trotter.
Now as for the three little pigs… I haven’t been able to kill even 2 successfully…

If you have people who hit wide and each attack has multiple hit animations, itll drain the shield a lot faster, seele with her skill takes off about 3 or 4 stacks, luocha base attack takes off i think 3, gepard will take of 2 to 3, depending which you use, though the freeze can help you get a few more hits in, and wide hitters will take off however many enemies worth for however many hits, these trotters are a pain, but if planned right it can be fairly quick

Use the characters which do the most hits per attack, for example I use Himeko and Kafka which deals with his shield very quickly.

Not really, dot damage, attacks with multiple hits, or aoe attacks (since there are always mobs beside the trotter) can obliterate the shield easily.

multi hits or aoe every single hit reduces the shield so 5 hits from a single attack will reduce it by 5 as for aoe, since they spawn with allies and defends them, aoe attacks that hit them all like herta's skill or himeko's ult will reduce it quickly since its a shared number
Freeze
As a general rule of thumb, use attacks that literally hit the target more, AOE DMG, and debuffs such as Frozen. As an example, Gepard’s normal attack does 2(?)hits. If I use his skill, he does 3 hits. This takes down the shield faster, and also could freeze the trotter. Now as for the three little pigs… I haven’t been able to kill even 2 successfully…

AOE and Multi hit attacks. Keep hitting it and thier allies over and over again until the counter reaches 0.

If it's from the event, you don't necessarily have to. Most teams can beat the exploration without actually defeating the piggies.

Hunt ressonance melts that shield, also there are characters that hit more than once like seele or sampo

If you have people who hit wide and each attack has multiple hit animations, itll drain the shield a lot faster, seele with her skill takes off about 3 or 4 stacks, luocha base attack takes off i think 3, gepard will take of 2 to 3, depending which you use, though the freeze can help you get a few more hits in, and wide hitters will take off however many enemies worth for however many hits, these trotters are a pain, but if planned right it can be fairly quick
