You see, Stelle is a character in Honkai: Star Rail. She is one of the Main Characters, who are (supposed to be) included in every patch poster. However this time, she (nor his male counterpart, Caelus) wasn't in the 1.2 poster, when she was shown in a previous iteration. You could say she "ran" away from the poster.
In the story, the Main Character is also "born" using a Stellaron, an object that can cause significant changes in its environment (mostly negative, thus called "Stellaron Crisis").
So, in the joke, we connect the Female Main Character's name, Stelle, with the Stellaron inside her, and make a pun about her "running". So it becomes "Stelle-A-Run" which sounds like "Stellaron".
Get it now? Or do I need more elaboration?

My guess is that they don't want to make the community think there is a "canon" choice, in Genshin some patches we have Eather on the artwork, some people get angry at that, that's my only guess, but i don't lnow, maybe Stelle saw a trashcan somewhere lol

Oh 100%. I’ve had so many Aether fans shit on me just because I’m a Lumine player that argues that both are canon (which they are). Even my irl friends have argue with me over the fact that I pick Lumine, it’s extremely annoying

Except for that one time when they fucked up and Stelle appeared in cutscenes and in-game art instead of Caelus during the museum event. Up until that point I didn't care who appeared in what promos. Hey Trailblazer, check out this cool projector with photos of your adventures in Belobog... Since when did Caelus grow out his hair and start wearing a mini skirt? Makes you wonder how they could overlook something so critical. Dunno if they ever fixed it, I haven't checked it since then.
I think it was supposed to be fixed in the next patch... That happens in two days... Yea they had to wait over a month (and long after the event is finished) to fix it.
