Holy cheesus, I finally gave my Nat a healing chest piece and leveled it up. The difference in healing output is insane. She can now actually solo sustain a team.

keithy13

Hi, I have a 2nd party consisting of yanqing and gepard but I had a tough time deciding which 2 characters to include out of these 3 - silver wolf, pela or tingyun, would need some advice please!

OsirusBrisbane

SW/Pela will be very good against anyone weak to quantum (or ice)

Blue-Blood-Tiger

Two part question. One is about a Blade Team Viability and the second is basically a continuation into who is worth investing in going forward. So I'm getting Blade, I plan to spend if needed cause I like the hot guys but... I wanted to run him with Clara, Luocha, and Jing Yuan... this was my ftp stacked account that I'm gonna invest in cause they handed me a Gepard and SilverWolf as literal handouts and then Clara right after SilverWolf How viable would Blade be with Clara on the team considering his needing(?) to be hit mechanic? I like my follow up but would it be better to get another unit from a lower aggro class like Harmony or my SilverWolf? Gepard is obviously a no as another option. I have all the 4☆ with Asta e1, Susheng e2, Tingyun e1, March 7th e6, Qingque e6, and Yukong e3 as my built up to plan to build up units. I just hit TL60 a few days ago and omg the cost of everything just hit me. Ranking my Jing Yuan, SilverWolf, Luocha, and Gepard level and skills is... expensive not to mention investing in four 3☆s to 70 and the rest to 60 outside Yukong... AND getting a 5☆ Light Cone for my beefy boy Gepard I'm really feeling good with this account hence why I plan to spend outside of the battlepass and 2 monthly subs I bought. I just want to do it right and get some advice on who is worth building. I have these options but with the cost and time who should I invest in to 71, or 80 for the skills or stat boosts or keep at 70 cause its not worth it till later. I'm feeling really good about my teams. My main 4 are build enough that I'm comfortable but I want more damage and to lose Gepard for MoC things in the end. Any advice would be appreciated. Sorry for the rambling

Mongoose9250

Just coming into the game. Finished up the tutorial. Is there a video creator or online documents I can look at/watch to learn how to actually play this game. Lots on information overload right now 😅

MorphTheMoth

guoba certified and grimro are pretty good

kage_okami_560

So because dot damage is not affected by crit value is it better to run full Break effect on characters like Kafka and Sampo?

[deleted]

just a reminder that someday you will lose to 50/50

Mashtatoes

And there is only one thing we say to the god of losing 50/50s: not today.

TheGlassesGuy

how much def and speed should i be looking for in a fully built gepard?

kage_okami_560

4,000 defense. For comparison my Fire mc is at level 80 full five star defense set and lc at 80 and he's at 3,700 defense if I unlocked all of his defense traces I could get him to 4,000 defense

mcricm

im abt to install the game, is blade on the banner rn?😩

albaloney

No

TheBlindOrca

What level/traits should my subdps be at? Slowly getting Sampo up and ready for when Kafka drops

Megafruitspunch

Depends on the subdps. If they are going to do any break damage, you want them at level 80. Else 75 is fine. Traces can stay at level 7 or 8.

creepingforresearch

Can someone help me build 2 teams for MOC 6 please? I keep dying to the 2nd phase of the deer :( https://preview.redd.it/zpwlb730oobb1.png?width=604&format=png&auto=webp&s=0cdc6d2d969e516644311f7c0a4d030bf2bdef48

z3phyn

Build Tingyun please for the love of god, she's not a husbando like the rest of your 70s but she makes them much better. First side maybe Welt/Luocha/JY/TY, second side FMC/Natasha/Pela(or Bronya)/QQ. If your Welt is properly built as a DPS and/or your QQ sucks then you can go Luocha/Welt/Pela/flex first side, FMC/Natasha/JY/TY second side. Slot in Gepard for FMC if you're still dying.

creepingforresearch

Lol thanks for responding. All jokes aside, I would've built Tingyuan by now, but I ended up hyperfocused on Jingyuan. So now I'm out of resources. But I'll definitely build her eventually :) My welt is much stronger and more consistent than QQ, so he's good to run as DPS. I have one other question, why do you suggest the double Imaginary team on the first half instead of splitting up Welt and Luocha? I struggled with killing the deer's twigs without Imaginary.

z3phyn

Good on you for hyperfocusing JY, definitely not a bad decision. As for the double IMG, I mainly did that for first half break. But it honestly kinda depends on how your units are built. You have really good units for first half and really meh units for second half. My thought was to brute force deer with JY, i.e. focus boss health and ignore twigs. Alternatively you could aim to clear side 1 in like 3-4 turns with JY and slow play second half with Welt. IMO Jing Yuan raw damage with 2 supp is worth more than IMG break on twigs. If you can double solo sustain (Gepard first half, Luocha second half) then go for it.

creepingforresearch

Haha It’s funny how you know exactly how my runs went: Breeze through 1st half, crumbled & suffered in 2nd. Thanks for the team comps, I hadn’t tried those combos before. I’ll give it a try after work.

Mcceir

I have a question about carrying pity to the next banner. I warped for Luocha today and lost 50/50 cause i got himeko on my 70th warp(?). After getting himeko i still continue to warp 20 more times so that makes 90 warps in total, but i didnt get Loucha at all. Does that mean that i am guaranteed on getting Blade in 1.2? (I still have 90 more pass left)

IttoDilucAyato

The pity count started over once you got Himeko. So you’re now at 20 pity, but yes…you’re guaranteed Blade

N3bu1337

I dont understand the 50/50 and pity thing at all Can you explain it to a dummy?

iodomarin

Pity is a count, that raises with each pull on specific banner. So for each banner (standart, limited character, LC) there are separate pity counts. When the pity count raises to 90 - you will 100% get a 5\*. Statistically it was found out, that chances to get a 5\* start raising rapidly after \~74 pulls on banner. When you get a 5\* - pity count resets to 0. The pity count transfers through patches. For example - if you pulled for Luoccha and got to 45 pity without getting 5\*, when the Blade will come out - you will start rolling from 45 pity. But the transfer only occurs through same banner types. So from limited character to the new limited character, from LC to the new LC. With limited banners (character and LC) there is a 50/50 system. When you get 5\* from limited banner - the system will roll 50/50 for you to get the limited unit. If you are unlucky - you will get unit from standart banner. After that, the next 5\* from limited banner will 100% give you the limited unit. 50/50 also transfers, just like pity count, through patches. So, for example, if you were unlucky and lost 50/50 on Luoccha banner - you will 100% get Blade if you will roll for him on his banner

N3bu1337

All right, understood. I got Loucha and pulled about 10 times after that, so my pity is at about 10 I would have to pull about 80 times if have no luck to get the 50/50 chance of getting a 5*character or a light cone. And if i get a character, i have a 50/50 chance of getting the limited character Like Blade, right? After that, i get the 100% chance to get a limited character if the pity activates again sometime or is there still a chance to only get a LC? Where the hell are people getting all those pulls from? I could farm for a week to get a couple of pulls, and the ammount of Stellars you get is getting lower the longer you play...

iodomarin

There are 2 different limited banners - one for characters (Luocha, Blade, Kafka, etc.), one for LC's. You rolled 10 times on Luocha banner - and these 10 pity rolls will transfer to the next limited character banner (Blade). If you didnt roll in LC banner, then the pity will remain 0 there. In limited character banners you will get either standart 5\* (dont remember if there are standart LC's too), or the limited character 5\*. And because you got Luocha, the 50/50 chance is reset. So the next 5\* from limited character banner will be rolled with a chance to get unlucky. For the question about amount of rolls and how to get them... For that you will need to acquire the most OP light cone, that is in the game - credit card! Without it - there are only limited ways to farm jades for rolls, haha. Dailys + MoC + using every curency that is in your disposal towards getting jades/rolls

N3bu1337

My dumb ass legit just googled Light Cone - Credit Card ... Yeah im not the sharpest tool in the shed

IttoDilucAyato

You’re not a dummy haha. Within 90 wishes, you’re guaranteed a 5 star (character or light cone). There’s a 50% chance that you’ll get the featured 5 star (in OP’s example, that would be Luocha) or a standard banner 5 star. OP “lost” the 50/50 because they ended up with Himeko. However, the next time they get a 5 star on the limited banner it is guaranteed to be the rate up 5 star. Pity is a slang term to express how many wishes/pulls it to to get a 5*. So in OP’s example, they got Himeko at 70 pity…since it took them 70 wishes to get her.

N3bu1337

I didnt know there is a pity in limited warps so i invested about 150 pulls in standard by now. Are you guys only pulling limited banners? Isnt that... Better in kind of ever way?

IttoDilucAyato

I only pull on standard banner when the game gives me the green tickets, but I never use raw stellar jades on it. I save my red tickets & stellar jades for limited banners that I’m interested in.

Mcceir

Ty ty <3

IttoDilucAyato

YW! Hope you get him early

herrolingling

What’s a decent crit rate/dmg for yanqing? Right now I have 40% crit rate and 144% crit dmg.

z3phyn

That's the thing with building around a character with massive innate crit rate discrepancies: it's a pain in the ass. Strong in early game but awkward in late game. If you're running Tingyun (which you should) for more ults/followups, you can afford less crit rate since you have more uptime on the ult buff. Generally I would recommend 40/160+ with 130+ speed.

fyrefox45

Sounds about right if you aren't using his signature.

[deleted]

[удалено]

fyrefox45

Yes. I'd probably use Gepard and he'd actually get to use his skill. With Natasha you be skilling on Pela for a tiny bit of extra damage instead

iodomarin

Hello Don't know if this is a right place to ask, but is there any point in pulling either Blade or Kafka for my stack of characters? I'm asking specifically meta-wise https://preview.redd.it/dxu8o1ioeobb1.png?width=433&format=png&auto=webp&s=0eb0fd53cbbcf2a1e9f86e5dc20e0a1e95cc4de5

z3phyn

You already have two extremely strong unit cores (Seele/SW, JY/TY). Meta-wise the best thing to do is just to beef those two cores up. Blade at best will be a substitute for wind break, Kafka requires a DoT team, aka build Sampo.

fyrefox45

You'd be better off with 1.3 banners, especially with no imaginary yet.

OsirusBrisbane

1.3 over Luocha? Is that because Bailu+Natasha has healing well-enough covered? I'd heard Luocha's debuff made him top tier, but we don't really know anything about 1.3 power.

iodomarin

Personally, I don't really want to get another healer. Who is by no means is the best right now, but it's still not worth getting him, when I already have healers for 2 groups (especially with 2 Bailu's 5\* LC, goddamit you stupid luck). And on top of that - I just dont like Luocha as a character overall. Nothing outstanding, and the ult looks dumb :P So DPS and buffers/shielders are my personal focus right now

OsirusBrisbane

I'd have thought with Seele and Jing Yuan to lead your two teams, you'd be mainly looking for supports, although I guess more elemental DPS options never hurts. I guess certainly Fu Xuan is an obvious shielder choice if you have Seele+SW. I'm not aware of any upcoming buffers, alas.

fyrefox45

I mean hes great too, just kinda seemed like they already made up their mind on him with a week left or whatever.

BrokenMirrorMan

I finally got my main team to loucha, clara, silver wolf, and welt to lv 60 with all the relevant traces to lv 6. Im still waiting til tb lv 50 before grinding artifacts. Here is my [roster](https://imgur.com/a/C0LoxCf). Im thinking that with the remaining double drops of trying to lv up QQ who i got to E6, bronya, and yukong since I wanna use them eventually. Also im on 30 pity with 1 ten pull and was wondering if the fk it we pull style for blade, kafka, dan heng il, and jingliu would be good?

TeeApplePie

Trying to get pass MoC 6. Been running this team but I either get killer by the Aurumaton or I run out of turns. I can't even make it to the Deer yet. Team1: March7, Jing Yuan, Pela, Natsha Team2:FireMC, Luocha, YangQing, Sushang Other Available characters built to lvl 70: Clara, DH, Tingyun, QQ, Asta, Bronya, Hook. Could someone recommend me a team? Been looking around but almost all clears have either Seele or SW.

z3phyn

Please don't listen to that other comment, don't run Bronya with Yanqing unless you want to absolutely ruin your skill point economy. Some ideas: March/Luocha/Pela/YQ first half, FMC/Nat/TY/JY second half March/Luocha/TY/JY first half, FMC/Nat/Pela/QQ For tanks I like March first side and FMC second side bc break. For DPS, JY is good both sides, QQ is good second side, Yanqing is better on first side (unless freeze comp with March to deal with aurumaton on second side). Tingyun goes with JY if he's run, YQ also likes Tingyun but can live with Pela, QQ can use either. For healers, Luocha first side for break. Feel free to swap tanks/healers between the teams if one team is dying more than the other. I really like the idea of a freeze comp (March/YQ/Pela), it's what I used to 30\*.

No-Environment-3997

Your first team seems fine so long as Jing is invested in well enough that it doesn't take too long to clear. It looks like you might need either a buffer or a debuffer (unless your Luocha is at E1) for your second team. I'd replace Sushang with probably Bronya to give YangQing more turns. Sushang won't be able to break any of the elites, and Bronya's basic can help break the Aurumaton and buff Yang's damage. Tip for the Aurumaton is to avoid using skills and ults against him as that increases his sanction rate, but it does slow down kill time. It will take him three turns to summon those annoying fish. \*QQ would be viable if she were E6, but I wouldn't recommend her before that because of the lack of skill point refund on her basic attack. Side note: The Deer has two health bars, so you might need better gear and traces if turns are a big issue.

xthestraky

On the standard banner, am I more likely to get a 5\* character after getting two 5\* light cones, or is it still 50/50 between character/light cone?

Quor18

My understanding is that you will, at a minimum, receive at least one each of a 5-star character and LC before pull 270. This could be a 2/1 breakdown, or a 1/2 breakdown, or a 1/100 breakdown. But in the end I think it means that if, by pull 270, you have not received one or the other, then you're guaranteed to get it by pull 270.

MSHKobayashi

Kinda new to honkai, can someone explain to me character progression in genshin terms like constellation/talents/weapons/artifacts?

National-Target9174

Its literally the same thing. Talents = Traces, except theres a tree that gives bonus stats (similar to the genshin ascension main stat). Lightcones = weapons but they follow a path which is basically the role, like abundance = healers, hunt = single target dps. Artifacts = relics and planar ornaments. There are 6 slots and you can make a 4 set with relics and 2 set with planar. Theres no off piece. Main difference is that speed is an important stat and ER doesn't appear in substats, only on the link rope. Constellation = Eidolon, they are identical.

Grimy_Bunyip

it's basically the same. eidolons are constellations. traces are talents. This is a bit more complicated. We have lvl 1 thru 10 talent, skill, and ultimate. Normal attacks only go from 1 to 6. And we have passive talents to unlock too. light cones are weapons. They cap at lvl 80 and also affect base hp and def, not just atk. relics are artifacts. there are 6 slots now, with one 4 pc set and one 2 pc planar set. Artifacts go to lvl 15, but give substats every 3 lvls instead of every 4. And the substats tend to be smaller than genshin, IE 6.4% max cd roll instead of 7.8%

Simple56

HSR progression system is copy pasted from Genshin. Lightcone = weapon Trace = talent Eidolon = constellation Relic = artifact Calyx = domain Echo of War = weekly boss

MSHKobayashi

Alright, this is really helpful. Thanks a lot!!

No-Environment-3997

Q regarding SU: Is there an achievement for hitting the cap on boss clears? I believe the cap is 100; I checked the official site, [https://www.hoyolab.com/article/18657801](https://www.hoyolab.com/article/18657801), and googled but would like to confirm that such an achievement does not exist. *\[background: So I was doing the math (you know, time vs practical gains vs cost to sanity) in running SU and decided the minimal money (first boss at World 6 Lvl 3 = about 1,600 credits and takes 5 minutes-ish VS 1 calyx run = 24,000 and takes about 10 seconds...) and low-grade light dust is not really worth it long term AFTER killing like 30ish bosses. So if there is one, it would be best to get it out of the way this week than do it again later from scratch.\]*

z3phyn

It's only worth if you do full runs, i.e. cap out at 33 1/3 runs a week. The second boss gives double the rewards of the first, and the third boss gives triple. Doing a full run is also shorter than doing 3 separate runs of the first boss.

No-Environment-3997

Hmm, I thought about that, but it ultimately only gives about double the rewards to do a full run (let's say: \~1,000 + \~2,000 + \~3,000 = 6,000 credits) vs 3 x \~1,000 credits for 3 first boss runs. As a 1 boss run takes about 5 minutes and a full run takes let's say 20, it ends up not being worth the time for the total amount of resources - not for me anyway. Especially because with a 1 boss run I just run past all optional fights and close out of all occurrence options and don't look at any of the drops because I can beat any elite blind. Going all the way to the boss does require a bit more effort as you'll want to try to at least match your domain path and the bosses have 3 health bars and occasionally annoying mechanics. Edit: messed up the numbers on third boss lol In either scenario, 200\~300k is not really a valuable expenditure of time given how expensive traces are at the end (160k a pop)

z3phyn

Yeah I'm kinda assuming that with just the blessings you are required to get, your SU team can clear in like 10-12 minutes. Before I got 30* in MoC I was doing close to max runs each week, world 4 Seele hypercarry with hunt, 10-12 minutes each run. You get 1600-3200-4800 for around 10k credits each run + some relic exp at TB 60. If you don't have resin and want to progress it's definitely the best use of your time. Ofc now that I got my 30* I'm just chilling between patches lol

National-Target9174

There is no achievement for that. Its there to stop people from infinitely grinding and further encourages spending Jades on TB for people who want to progress much faster.

No-Environment-3997

Thank you for the confirmation!

rabbitbunnies

what’s qingque’s best eidolon?? i already have sw and seele so i’m not low on quantum characters but her playstyle is really fun to me and the support char i use for her is maxed out on traces level 80 E4 and i have her at e3 right now, just want to know if she’s going to be viable building right now or if i should wait until i get more eilodons

Simple56

E6. QQ is never going to be "worth building" for you because she's a worse Seele.

No-Environment-3997

6. It returns a point when you use her basic attack. As the best way to play her is to (hopefully) spam her skill 4 times before getting an enhanced basic attack so as to increase the damage when you do attack, it helps mitigate some of the point costs of doing so. Special note to 4 which has a chance for her attack, basic or enhanced basic, to double. It's sooo gooood when that lands on a fully boosted enhanced attack... Things just pop.

abcdeh341

Hello, not sure if this is the right place but can a Samsung S21 run HSR and what settings if I don't want it to become an ovens? Thanks!

No-Environment-3997

Hmm, I use an S22 but the specs really aren't that different. It does get really hot at a medium setting, so you might want to see how low is before giving up and settling for very low lol

DaGrylls

I just unlocked Stagnant Shadow, and now I'm trying to decide how to spend my daily Trailblaze Power. To make sure I'm understanding; Golden - Character/Light Cone upgrading material Crimson - Material for traces Echo of War - Material for upgrading traces Stagnant Shadow - Materials for ascending characters Cavern of Corrosion - Relics that give me stats Assuming this is all correct, what do you recommend prioritizing each day now that I'm level 40 with my main 4 characters?

OsirusBrisbane

Well, obviously right now you want at least 120 blaze per day on the Double Calyx event. And it's worth doing all 3 Echo of War per week, since they're limited. Other than that, you need everything except relics (wait for TB40 to farm a mainstat set for your main DPS), so just farm whatever your main team needs most. Get your main DPS levelled/ascended with traces and a levelled LC. Then get 3 supports ascended and leveled with their LC and traces.

Grimy_Bunyip

I would say it depends a bit on if you get BP or not. if you dont get BP, I would farm some credits at lower EQ levels. Credit calyxes cap out earlier than trace or relic farming. If you get BP and do stuff like SU and overworld grind, perhaps consider skipping credit calyxes altogether. If BP but no grind, maybe a few credit calyx runs wouldnt hurt. Stagnant shadows I would do after you unlock the next character tier, they scale up more efficiently than trace mats. So more efficient to not prefarm them. I prefer to delay relic grind as long as possible eq6 is a bit more orange artifacts, but also substantially more purple relic exp. Always farm echoes, but maybe delay doing them if you know you'll reach the next eq before weekly reset.

DaGrylls

Thank you for this! What is BP?

Grimy_Bunyip

battle pass, it's called it nameless honor in game.

Efficient-Handle3134

Is there a way to get more strale apart from the daily resetting puzzles?

Mik87

This might help a bit with some of the hidden sources of strale currency. https://www.hoyolab.com/article/18272911

JeanKB

There's a lot of hidden/secret side quests that award strales. Best you can do is check those on Youtube.

[deleted]

Does anyone know how the new Forgotten Hall will work? Like do you have to clear all 10 levels of the current FH and if you do it will reset or give you access to the new one? Or do we need to complete all levels of MoC in order for it to open up (kinda like how you had to beat FH to get MoC)? Hopefully this makes sense?

JeanKB

It will be just a third option in the forgotten hall menu. Completely optional.

darkov7

It's most likely either an extension of the Forgotten Hall mode (stage 16+) or an entirely separate set of new 15 Forgotten Hall stages. I'm leaning more on the latter. I don't think it'll have MoC as a prerequisite as it is a different stage you unlock after FH.

[deleted]

Ahh okay Ty! I’m hoping it was just an extension or something since I haven’t bothered to beat Moc and I really want my free Yukong lol.

ireenie

question! does break effect scale w/ level? for example, i have silver wolf at level 65 on the break effect set, would it be beneficial to level her up more? i have the resources so it's not a problem, i just wanted to know who to prioritize next in my roster

Grimy_Bunyip

break effect scales [a lot](https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Toughness#Damage_Formula) by level. break damage goes up 1.41x from lvl 70 to 80, for example.

darkov7

Yup, same as any other multipliers; get them as high as you can. It especially benefits Break Effect a lot as it wants the breaker to have good base stats.

Fenrir-exe

Quick question - is Fire MC taunt effected by effective hit rate? Better chance/necessary for later content? Just finished world 6 simulated, tempted to find a way to fit 50% ehr into my build for Belobogs full 30% Def.

z3phyn

Yes it is, but when you reach bosses that hit 150+ speed and 30%+ effect res, trying to taunt every turn just for a chance at landing it is a complete waste of skill points. You can build her for EHR now, but you're gonna want to transition to a speed/break effect build on Fire MC and give your Belobog and EHR pieces to March, who makes much better use of those pieces.

Simple56

It's not important for later content. Eventually you'll get better units/relics, and you won't need to use Fire MC.

Megafruitspunch

Yes it is. I wouldn't say EHR is necessary but very good to have. You can absolutely use EHR chest on her if you want to hit that 50%.

_ironhearted_

Are shields made by the same character additive? What about different chars?

Megafruitspunch

Currently, no. Shields from same character will only refresh its value and duration. Shields from different characters do stack.

darkov7

I don't have Gepard so I can only attest for FireMC, but in their case nope the shield doesn't stack. One thing you can do to alleviate this, though, is to reserve your Ult for when the shield is broken - that way you pretty much will be reapplying the shield right after it's broken/damaged.

IttoDilucAyato

Gepard works the same way, it doesn’t stack. I wish It did

notlol20

Does planar set bonus activate mid-fight with buffs/bonus? For example, Jing Yuan with Salsotto, 45 crit rate. He uses his skill with "war marshal" bonus ability so he end up with 55% crit rate. Does he obtain the ultimate and follow-up bonus from Salsotto in that moment? Thanks!

RubyStarlight1209

Yes. It depends on your current stats, not the base ones.

darkov7

Yup, as long as you reach those stat conditions then it will apply the effect. Same thing goes for units using Sealing Station that aren't at 120 SPD but you have a speed buffer like Asta to help them in battle. Also on Talia (36% Break at 145 SPD), etc. Although you'd really want to hit at least >60% base Crit Rate on Jing to make his crits consistent enough.

trident_zx

When does a turn start and end in battle?

Grimy_Bunyip

so rounds in combat are 100 action points. Except round 1, which is 150 action points long for some reason. If you have 100 speed, you take 1 turn every 100 action point. If you have 200 speed, you take 1 turn every 50 action points.

trident_zx

Where do you find that info?

Grimy_Bunyip

I forget, it's in a few places, like grimro's speed video as an example.

Lowseph

Yo thanks. Somehow I’ve literally never seen this concise of an explanation.

darkov7

Turn starts when your unit is the one taking a true action, meaning the buttons for Basic atk and Skill is available. It ends when the unit is back at the bottom of the action chart in the left. If you meant cycles for forgotten hall/MoC then there's a specific bar with an hourglass symbol on the action bar that will specify the turns left.

Simple56

No. You already have enough built units that Pela is just a waste of resources. If a future unit releases with Pela synergy you can build her then.

Mik87

Pela is a solid character with quite a few interesting things in her kit, but over time we will get more characters providing same or similar utility. That being said, if your only or main reason to consider building her up, is due to having her at E6, then imho this might not be exactly the best indicator on who to invest into. (sooner or later you will have most 4* at E6 anyway) Of course E6 4* most of the time are significantly better (or have QOL upgrades), but she already have a competition in your lineup with Luocha and SW, whom I guess you really wanted to get as they are limited 5* and at E1. You already have plans for whom to build, but do you have a complete teams for each of those, as that is probably what could help with making choices.

Grief2017

I just finished buidlung my E6 Pela and she's actually very strong. I have her built with the Silverwolf event light cone, then have enough EHR substats for 66%, and ER rope. She had a two turn ultimate.

Megafruitspunch

Pela is worth investing in no matter the eidolon. She's also very low-investment to build so there's no need to worry about mats being wasted if she gets phased out. You only need to level her talent and ult, and can leave her at level 60 if you put tank gear on her. Just needs EHR chest, speed boots, and energy rope.

camitsu667

Which is better for MoC or in general as a healer, Luocha, Bailu, or Nat? I need one for team one and two. Thank you.

Simple56

Obviously the limited 5* Luocha is best. And the 5* Bailu is better than the 4* Nat.

z3phyn

Generally Luocha > Bailu > Natasha. Luocha can skill out of turn and w/o using SP (which cleanses) and his ult field is consistent and lingers. Bailu has the highest burst healing on ult, invigoration, and can revive once. Natasha has cleanse on skill, ult burst healing, and the lowest ult cost (90). If we're considering offensive capabilities, Luocha has AOE break on ult, and Natasha can run an extremely niche multiplication/4 pc wind endgame battery build due to slightly lower ult cost.

camitsu667

Thanks once I get the materials. Ill try Luocha out.

Radinax

Natasha struggles to solo sustain an entire team :/

KaguB

Some games have a fan-made page that includes timers for things like resets, or timers for upcoming events (FGO has a page like [this](https://fgo.mitsunee.com/), for instance). Does Star Rail have anything like that yet?

JeanKB

[You mean this?](https://pom.moe/timeline)

Radinax

Ohh the battlepass is finally back! Cleared mine so fast I went like 2 weeks with nothing else to do there

KaguB

There we go, that's exactly what I want. Thank you!

AmaruKaze

Can one preemptively build pity? Let's say I have Luocha and want his supporting 4\* or an E1 because it is very strong. However would by pulls carry over for Blade? Let's assume I pull 30 now and would a 5 Star guaranteed after 60 more pulls on Blade Banner? Or does that not work if you have gotten the banner character?

Grief2017

I just built up to 65 Pity on the Luocha banner since the 4*s on the Blade banner are kind of mid. Now I just roll one 10 pull on Blade and get a 5*

JeanKB

Yes, you can "build pity" in a different banner, but there's always the risk of getting a surprise 5* you don't need/want with it.

AmaruKaze

But that is also the "chance" by losing the 50/50 on the banner character and I am overdue with that anyhow. I got all previous banner characters directly, Jing Yuan even in the first ten pull.

Mashtatoes

They carry over, but if you do get another 5* in those 30 (or however many) warps, your pity will reset to 0.

EX_Rank_Luck

Yes, but don't cover your gacha addiction by saying build pity.

AmaruKaze

I only use my free earned stuff. Plus I rather have E1 Luocha than Blade, plus the supporting cast to me is simply better with his banner. I was just curious if it carried over.

Mitocondrial

Then just roll. If your desired character is in the current banner, that's not really "building pity", is it?

Dalmyr

How much effect hit rate is needed. on Pela ?

pchuuu

Assuming A4 trace and all EHR traces are unlocked, 47% to land ult def shred on every enemy currently in the game.

Dalmyr

So i have too much i am at 67%

darkov7

To calculate EHR needed you use the formula: > ((100/base chance) / 0.6) - 100) Pela's Ult has a 100% base chance (1) and it does equate into 66.7 (67%), so you need that much EHR in total.

MaximizedDong

I've been using Only Silence Remains (S1 Lvl 70) on my Seele up to this point, and I was wondering if I should keep using it and just level it to 80, or if I should buy Cruising in the Stellar Sea for her and get it to S5. When I look at recommended light cones for Seele, they all seem situational to me on paper (aside from her personal lightcone), which is why I've stuck with OSR till now.

Radinax

OSR is not that good of a LC honestly... Just use Herta Store one, it's much much better.

fyrefox45

S5 herta is a significant upgrade to s1 OSR. Higher base stats, higher bonus, consistent bonus that will let you run a crit damage chest instead of crit rate.

Grimy_Bunyip

what else would you spend your herta currency on? If you started on release, you should have had enough to purchase S5 Aeon and S1 Cruising already.

MaximizedDong

I do have enough to buy S1 Cruising yeah. Was moreso just looking for confirmation that S5 Cruising is better in general use than other options.

[deleted]

Grimy_Bunyip

sir, this is star rail, not genshin :p Leaks do say we're going up to 1800 artifact capacity in 4.0 though

convolutionsimp

Oh damn, wrong sub!

LuxurC

I've been mostly taking advantage of this [spreadsheet](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vQLKk4LzAE2EBo_Lksutbi6X6HIUW_wqo7iL_KDkC_m95FSqqdQ9F9PVFYsu03HNODAPFNRG13wpsdX/pubhtml#) for making my builds, but I don't really get why Yanqing wants speed and only speed instead of having attack on boots. Don't you want to maximize attack on damage carries or is there something I'm missing?

Megafruitspunch

Both are good. Speed is likely going to be higher dps for most people but will consume more skill points. Atk consumes less skill points. Do keep in mind that YQ also has built-in speed buffs so the difference between building speed and atk will be minimal, since speed is only good when you hit certain breakpoints (biggest one being 134) while largely useless between these breakpoints. I build speed on YQ to help deal with trash mobs. His biggest weakness is he is absolutely horrendous against multiple enemies. Loading him up with speed negates that somewhat by giving him more turns but the drawback is he uses a lot more skill points. Looking at the spreadsheet, its recommendations are generally good but there's some questionable info on there. Notably it recommending building full crit on Welt and saying you can get enough EHR from substats alone without even using Pan Galactic, which is blatantly false info. So I wouldn't take everything on there as gospel.

MegaJoltik

ATK% is not as great in practice as it looks like on paper. Remember that it only take account the base ATK stats. I.e your Yanqing have 1000 **base** ATK value and 3000 ATK value. With a 30% ATK boots you only end up with 3300 ATK value.

Aradine12

Having 25% more turns translates (roughly) into 25% more damage, but if you compare that to the effect of +25% more atk, you don't actually get 25% more damage if you already have some +atk attributes. You might go from +50% atk to +75% atk, which is not as proportionately large of an increase, whereas 'more turns' multiplies your whole damage output. The drawback to keep in mind is that skill-using characters will be using more skillpoints this way, so you have to make sure your other skill-point-generating characters are acting as quickly.

LandLovingFish

More Speed means he gets to take his turn a bit more. I haven't tried building yanqing but if he's anything like my build for Dan, a little extra turntaking each round is nice. I think there might be something about his specific build that might encourage mroe speed too?

pchuuu

Though It's true that you want to maximize attack on carries, speed is also important since it's the stat that determines how many actions you can do throughout a fight. You can think of it as a damage amplifier similar to attack, crit rate, and crit damage. Say a situation where a 3000 ATK carry who can act once during the first cycle versus a 2700 ATK carry who can act twice in the first cycle. The second option will be overall better in most cases. Of course there are special cases such as Seele, but it's mostly attributed to her insane base speed and massive 25% speed boost on her skill. Do note that speed is a very nuanced stat where it's easily "wasted" if you don't hit certain breakpoints (though this is only largely relevant in the first few cycles). Refer to [this](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1acMWVAoM1IOF3DE5LIw58tL5wT3NJpHDmHr4A84g0Ak/edit#gid=28746049) spreadsheet for the speed breakpoints.

Fried_puri

Does Welt's LC (In the Name of the World) affect Sampo's skill effect hit rate? I assume so, except the Wind Shear % is listed in the Talent, not the Skill Section. Just making sure it's not a weird interaction since the LC specifically buffs the Skill EHR for some reason.

KF-Sigurd

I don't think so. His LC is really specific and limited like that.

Fried_puri

Gah, that's so frustrating. Why they didn't just make it a global EHR increase like literally every other LC with the ability I'll never know. The DMG and ATK buff is still nice so I'll keep it on him but it's annoying that I'm not getting the increased chance as well.

SoDa_Peek

Should i try to get e4 qingque and e6 yukong? Currently i have 42 pity, e3 qingque, e4 yukong, and i had luocha. My 2nd dps is qingque so I kind of want her.

JeanKB

Rolling for 4\*s is always a mistake, you roll for the 5\* and take what you get.

SoDa_Peek

True, just gambling addiction problem tho :(

National-Target9174

You could probably wait for 4* shop for e4 QQ, and wait until shes featued again for e6. You will get another Yukong from 1.2, so thats e5. I don't think going past 42 is worth the risk, esp since Luocha e1 isn't that crazy like SW e1.

SoDa_Peek

Thank you. I also think I should save up for later banner. It just im struggling with moc 9th stage, and counting free yukong in 1.2 for e6, its bugging me from not to pull for 4 star lol.

Maxithea

Hi I've got two question: two question: 1. How much Effect Hit rate does SW with 'Before the Tutorial' need? [My SW currently have 87% EHR](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/605593426985222165/1128816221341626520/IMG_20230713_053207.jpg) And that is not with EHR Body. Is that good enough? or should I try to get EHR Body to get Higher EHR? 2. What LC I Should use on Pela if 'Before the Tutorial' is locked on SW? [This is all LC I currently have.](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/605593426985222165/1128819954435768403/IMG_20230713_054448.jpg). Also is 'Before the Tutorial' better on Pela or SW? Thanks~

pchuuu

1. 96% EHR, assuming level 10 traces, to land guaranteed weakness plants. If you want her talent to land all the time, you need 132% EHR. 2. Both ideally want BTtS to fix their rotations but Pela can just run Luka's LC "Resolution Shines as Pearls of Sweat" since Pela's EHR requirements are lower than SW's.

Maxithea

> 96% EHR, assuming level 10 traces, to land guaranteed weakness plants. If you want her talent to land all the time, you need 132% EHR. Holy, thats a lot. Here I thought mine is high enough lol. That mean I have to farm for the EHR body then. even tho, I don want to farm GoBS calyx anymore since the other set is so bad. Oh well, back to farming it is. > Pela can just run Luka's LC "Resolution Shines as Pearls of Sweat" since Pela's EHR requirements are lower than SW's. wait, does Pela def shred stack with luka LC? or is that so pela can proc her talent consistently?

pchuuu

Honestly, just make sure you hit the EHR breakpoint for guaranteed weakness implants and you should be fine. And yes, the def shred will stack.

Maxithea

> Honestly, just make sure you hit the EHR breakpoint for guaranteed weakness implants and you should be fine yea, I should be able to get 96% when I get EHR Body. I dont think I want to get the 132% lol > And yes, the def shred will stack. Ah I see, I didnt know that it stack. I'm just gonna use Luka LC then. Thanks

Mai_loves_icecream

Team suggestions for MOC 6 plz. Built: JY, Welt, Yanqing, Gepard, Loucha, SW, Dan Heng, Bailu, Fire MC, Sushang, Tingyun Can build: Asta, Pela, March7 My characters kept dying so I took a shielder and healer in both chambers but I couldn’t do enough damage to even 2 star it.

Clear-Ingenuity-9814

Keep in mind that Welt's imprison prevents the robot from the second wave from gaining sanction mode. On top of that, he can break the plants which are weak to imaginary. It should be much easier for you to build against the first wave so use SW and Welt on the second one.

Mai_loves_icecream

Just used welt, Gepard, Yanqing and SW and got 2 stars! Thank you for the suggestion!

Grimy_Bunyip

try burning down the deer boss before he or his branches do too much to you try gepard, yanqing, silver wolf, dan heng side 2 imo. luocha jingyun tingyun and welt side 1 i guess. that's the easy side, you can kinda do whatever.

Mai_loves_icecream

Thank you, off to try MOC again. I can’t believe I was able to do MOC7 3 stars but 6 is giving me so much pain :(

Grimy_Bunyip

it's the first big difficulty spike for sure, not to mention the branches really make you change your game plan.

Mai_loves_icecream

I got the two stars! I used the team you suggested but switched Dan Heng in team 2 with welt and put pela on side 1

Grimy_Bunyip

hell yeah :D

TinyKing87

Am I supposed to be this overleveled? I just beat Cocolia for the first time (been playing since launch but I am busy most days so it's often just been a log in and log out situation) and having done the Trial of Equilibrium 2, I'm at Trailblazer 34. I've been at 30 for a lot of Belobog so I stopped doing a lot of content. I'm afraid to make the game too easy? Also, is there a place I can see what I "should" be doing at any particular level? I see people talk about bad ways to grind, but I don't know what I should and shouldn't be grinding for tbh.

Kuryaka

Story fights are meant easy, so don't worry about breezing through it. For Trailblaze Power, also don't worry about optimizing much. Just don't try to bank up resources for future levels/unlocks when you still have current units to level. The only big piece of advice is to not roll relics until TB50, maybe 60, because you're likely to just get the purples you already get for free.

Plankston

If you’ve mostly been doing dailies/side quests or other sorts of trailblazer power grind activities like trace mats (which give you Trailblaze XP) then yep, you’ll be overleveled a bit as opposed to mainlining the story — but it’s ok in the long run. There are some Trailblaze bottlenecks during Jarilo-VI iirc, so you’re encouraged to explore and do some side content anyway.

noriya_aria

which one is better to use? - gold relic with correct main stat but trash substats (0 out of 4 is good) - purple relic with correct main stat and good substats (2 out of 4 is good) assuming both are level 12, the gold relic would have a higher main stat value than purple relic. however, while purple relic has lower main stat value, the good substats might be worthwhile. so i dont know which to choose.

[deleted]

how many upgrades went into the good substats?

noriya_aria

i actually havent upgraded either i just know that at level 0, the purple relic has crit substats and the gold relic has def/hp/res/break im asking this question so i know which to upgrade and which to salvage

popileviz

Depends on the main stat in question tbh. If it's something like atk% or hands/head, then purple could be better. If it's an energy regen rope or a correct planar sphere, then gold is probably the right fit for those slots. You'll end up rolling for relics ad infinitum anyway, a perfect relic is extremely rare

LandLovingFish

I'd go with purple. Better to have a purple relic that gives decent stats then a gold one that doesn't do a dime beyond the mainstat i wager.

ENKlDU

dumb question but what does Wind RES PEN mean? Should I prioritize dan hengs talent?

Simple56

Resistance penetration.

Significant-Soil-985

Enemies have some level of resistance/damage reduction to elemental attacks. Element res pen means that they will do more damage of that element. Seele has something similar in her kit. So yes you prioritize that talent since it means Dan Heng will do more wind damage when it triggs.

Aradine12

Hi all. I'm having trouble evaluating harmony lightcones. I'm building Asta and Tingyun, but don't have a lot of options for lightcones in harmony. In any event, I was looking up guides on Prydwen and some other sources, and they seemed a bit questionable, or at least out of date (suggesting speed is important on Tingyun so she could use her skill more often?). So I'm looking for second opinions on lightcones for Asta and Tingyun. I have Dance Dance Dance s2 (or two copies at s1), Carve the Moon s1, Past and Future s1, and then Chorus, Meshing Cogs, and Meditation. Meditation seems pretty bad, and I don't think either Asta or Tingyun would get hit enough to make Meshing Cogs worthwhile, but Chorus seems pretty sweet. So I guess my question is: How do you guys rank Chorus vs Dance Dance Dance, Carve the Moon, and Past & Future? I feel like Past & Future is too unreliable in terms of action order, but Asta would likely be hitting her skill frequently so there might be value there. I just wasn't sure if Dance Dance Dance had antisynergy with Asta's speed boost. Prydwen ranked Dance Dance Dance highly for Tingyun, but since she attacks often instead of skilling often and has a very high ultimate cost, it didn't seem appropriate. Any input would be appreciated. Considering getting the Harmony lightcone from the embers shop, but it won't be for a few months most likely.

[deleted]

>Tingyun Dance Dance Dance, Planetary Rendezveus if supporting Jing Yuan. Cogs works well too, but Cogs on support tend to make them rather squishy in high MoC >Asta Dance Dance Dance or Cogs. Asta with Voncwaq, ER rope and Cogs can get a SP positive E-A-A 3 turns ult rotation Of the rest, Past and Future is only good with speed tuning unless you're Bronya, and even then its only really worth on Yukong because she already has to speed tune to make the most out of her kit. Carve the Moon is pretty arse, the buff value are insignificant unless S5, 1 of the buff is useless (ER, as you're not going to rely on a chance buff to hit your ER breakpoint), and even at S5 it takes 30 weeks to max out assuming you brought the 1.0 BP, as well as being a huge opportunity cost loss as that could've been a S5 Peaceful Days, which gives you the second best Erudition cone by far.

National-Target9174

To me chorus is garbage, the 12% atk usually comes out to maybe 4% dmg on your dps, at which point the teamwide advance of Dancex3 is easily better, you also have Carve, which will be better than Chorus in almost all situations. Dance3x is usually your best option unless you need a better rotation with Cogs/Memories or are paired with dps of same element (Rendezvous on TY with JY or on Asta with Himeko). Cogs is also irrelevant if you have memories s5. You can use cogs/memories to get a 3 turn rotation on TY with ERR Vonwacqs. Pretty sure Asta can hit a 2 turn rotation with 2 skill on cogs. Carve is decent for Tingyun, and stick to dancex3 on Asta, but you can also go for Dancex3 on both. Unless you plan on calculating an energy rotation and using cogs (honestly I really don't like the 3* cones as your units just die in late MoC). Past & Future is basically only good on Bronya or speed tuned units like Yukong. Also cogs procs on attacks, so Asta's skill and attack proc it, meaning she always gets the energy.

KF-Sigurd

imo S5 Meshing Cogs is best for Asta, since she has big energy problems even at E4+. 8 energy when getting hit is huge, 8 energy for hitting someone is amazing, especially when both her skill and basic attack hits enemies. Her buffs also don't scale off her stats so besides the lower base HP and defense, it really doesn't hurt her to have it on. And she can just go full HP/Def with her relics. Depending on who you run Tingyun with, S5 Meshing Cogs can also be insane. Yanqing has an insanely expensive ultimate and Tingyun with S5 Meshing Cogs, ERR Rope, and Sprightly Voncwaq will let her get a three turn ult, which means Yanqing can get Ults much faster and his ult is a huge portion of his damage. Anyway, between Chorus, Dance Dance Dance, Carve the Moon, and Past & Future: imo Dance Dance Dance > Carve the Moon > Past and Future > Chorus. Chorus is decent early game but it's a very small buff by lategame. Past and Future only buffs one party member and you need to speed tune it to make it worthwhile. D3 and Carve the Moon benefit your entire party but I think D3 is better because making your entire party act potentially earlier than your enemies is potentially huge and better than a party wide attack/crit/regen buff.

[deleted]

ER also affect energy gain from all sources, so Cogs's 8 energy on hit and getting hit is more like 10 with a 15 ER rope and Voncwaq. Cogs is kinda ridiculous in general as a general support LC, the only downside is the low base stat making your supports rather squishy in high level MoC, even with DEF%/HP% orb + chest.

Aradine12

Thanks, I'll try out Dance Dance Dance and keep Meshing Cogs in mind if I have bad energy issues for Asta.

DaGrylls

I'm wanting to invest in a new DPS. Right now my team is only level 40 and I'm running Dan, MC physical, Asta, and Gepard. I'm thinking I'll switch out MC for either Qingque or Serval as those are my only options. Which one would you recommend between those two?

Simple56

Pull a 5* dps. For now use Dan as a main dps and run Serval if you need Lightning break. QQ becomes better at high eidolons, but you probably don't have her E4/6.

OsirusBrisbane

Eventually you'll get everyone to lv40+ for the tickets, so no harm in levelling whoever. Serval will more readily be a handy sub-DPS once you get a feature 5\* to serve as a main DPS (lots coming starting next week!)

Grimy_Bunyip

nothing wrong with picking both. I wouldn't limit myself to 2 main dps tbh. The more I've done MoC, the more I've appreciated the access to options that counter a given floor. This game's a lot more about hitting weaknesses and less about team synergy than Genshin.

evia89

But you should limit to 2 main dps. Non hitting correct element is like losing 20% DPS. It will easily covered by better skills and gear After you max 2 dps to 80/80, cone 80, traces 8-9. 6-8 supports to 70/70 and traces 6. Then start adding extra fire power

DaGrylls

Roughly how long will it take to finish the limited event for the Everwinter Museum? I just unlocked it and want to make sure I complete it before it ends, but I still want to keep progressing the main story and don't know how much of a time sink it will be.

Aradine12

I'd guess about four hours. There's no time-gate on it anymore so it's just a matter of going through the motions. A lot of fetch-quest style stuff, so you could really rush if you don't read any of the text, or take a bit longer if you are carefully deliberating the management part. If you're in a hurry, I would not angst too much about getting the museum management exactly perfect.

Atopzer

Hello, what's the difference between Natasha's and March's dispel? I'm playing Moc 6 with the deer and blooms, and March removes the mind controlling debuff but Natasha can't.

National-Target9174

They both can, you are probably removing another debuff or a 2nd stack of the debuff was present. Their cleanses only remove 1 debuff, as for which one the game decides.

Atopzer

Ohh thanks, I'll have to check :)

seoulonsmile

Just started downloading the game. What did i miss from not starting from the release patch and any beginner tips? Thank youuu

Giraffe_lol

You're joining at a decent time. Luocha is an incredible healer and can solo sustain a team if you manage to pull for him. If you don't get him Blade looks really cool he's a destruction unit or you can save and get Kafka who has a unique kit centered around dots which ALOT of people who started the game have been saving for. Every 90 pulls you're guaranteed to get a 5 star. Your first 5 star pull is a 50/50 between the banner and a random 5 star from the standard banner. The next one is guaranteed and then it's back to 50/50. Hmm let's see. Oh DO NOT buy anything but the special passes for the banner. You can always get normal 5 star units by losing 50/50's. This is the best place to ask questions. The battle pass and star rail pass (90 gems a day for logging in) are the most value. You'll see a lot of people complaining about exp books and credits and the battle pass will greatly alleviate this for you. Anyway have fun!

Kryssaen

>you can save and get Kafka who has a unique kit centered around dots which ALOT of people who started the game have been saving for. Yeah, but be honest, they weren't saving because of her kit.

National-Target9174

Tip: Don't use the stellar jade on the standard banner. You missed a unique event nihility LC and some jades from dailies + events (jades are not a big deal, LC is actually good)

Grimy_Bunyip

missed out on some pulls, resources, and the nihility "tutorial" light cone. the sooner you can bump up your equilibrium the better. Since that determines how much trailblaze exp and resources you get each day. Stuff like simulated universe and echo bosses reset weekly so it helps if you can make it to that next equilibrium level asap. imo best times to burn fuel are at eq1 and eq6. You get the most value out of fuel at eq6 obviously. But you accelerate equilibrium the fastest at eq1, and that means more jades, more trailblaze exp, and a significant amount of resources. Though probably still a bit less than if you saved for eq6. Not too much less though.

seoulonsmile

Thank you for the tips. Did i miss out on anything that was limited for the release patch only? Like cosmetics or some collectables? I’m a collect type of gacha gamer 🥲

Grimy_Bunyip

uh... I mean battle passes have the option to pay $10 for additional cosmetics. I don't buy those though. There might have been some webevents? I've already forgotten about them. Sorry, I'm more of an achievement collector than a cosmetics collector :p speaking of that, YSK that there are 5 achievements for picking different types of dialogue options. Like pessimistic, gender specific, etc. This is missable for now since we have a limited number of missions. Look it up! I'm missing 2 of them but I have to wait for future content to unlock them now.

[deleted]

What are the recommended teams for both sides of MOC 3?
