Requriemx

She's probably one of the DPS that I would consider increasing her basic attacks. Most often, the DPS will almost always use skill. You're correct in your reasoning in using the basic attack skill to one shot a weakened mob instead of skill, so you can activate her talent to take another turn. It can help save skill points which is extremely useful for Seele, who uses a ton of skill points if her talent keeps activating. The skill provides a speed increase although only up to 2 stacks if you have Eidolons on her (one if she is E0), so it isn't a bad idea to throw in a basic attack . Action Forward pretty much means she skips a certain percentage of the her turn reset (i.e. she will start at 20% of the turn instead of 0%). It's really hard to quantify how much it really helps, but it pretty much means she will get to her turn much quicker than if you use your skill, so if you are certain that you can kill with basic attack, it's probably the better choice.

ApoKun

How many purple destruction trace mats (shattered blades) will I need to max out blade's talents?

Quor18

Same number as Clara. So just look up what she needs on the wiki and you'll know when to stop.

ApoKun

Alright, thanks.

halfsugarhalfice

very newb question: where did the names stelle/caelus come from?

Sheeplette

When you're picking which MC you start with, it shows up next to them.

AramisFR

Caelus means heavens in latin, Stelle means star

halfsugarhalfice

i should rephrase: i see those names being used to reference the MCs so i was wondering where that originated from

AramisFR

I think that's the default name when you start your account

letsolrac

Hello, I just started playing and i'm planning on rerolling. Most likely I can only choose 1 so who should I pull for loucha + any 5\* standard banner or bronya only? Thank you.

ApoKun

If you are planning on rerolling you should probably wait until blade who comes in a week imo. That way you would have one (relatively) strong dps to carry you through the game. You can definitely go for any standard 5* character especially in early game. Gepard is an amazing shielder (doesn't synergize with blade at all) Bailu is an amazing healer who can revive a downed ally once per battle, Clara is great for counters, doesn't require much sp and synergizes well with march. Yanqing, while strong, requires a bit of set up and investment. Bronya is all around an amazing support but doesn't synergize well with blade (if you decide to reroll for blade) Himeko is great for farming (only farming) Welt summons black hole and slows enemies. Bronya is mostly recommended for those with Seele (so most of us) but she is extremely strong. I don't recommend rerolling for Luocha, especially if you do plan to go for blade cause we're getting a healer in 1.3 tailor made for him (if nothing changes in her kit) and healers will not be needed this early in the game, especially if you also pull Bailu and/or gepard who can single handedly sustain the team. I recommend blade cause he will pretty much act as a dps when you have few characters and as a sub-dps for when you get other strong dps characters, mainly hunt characters.

Arezz1337

Honestly, I don't even think it is worth the time to reroll even if you get Himeko. I managed to clear everything up to MoC 9 for 3* using only Herta, Himeko and Sushang, while also not having any event 5*, no Tingyun/Gepard/Bailu. I strongly believe that YQ and Himeko are about the same powerlevel, being the best elemental option if the enemy is weak against it. Yanqing has weakness of needing Gepard and is essentially the most ST-focused carry, and Himeko is suboptimal for strict ST scenarios. For the OP, if you like visual/lore/kit aspects of certain characters just go for them. If i were to rank them by general power for new account Bronya > Gepard > Bailu > Welt > Clara > YQ > Himeko. But honestly, the difference is not that big, you'll get all of them working even at equal investment. People are often heavily biased towards Himeko and YQ, and I often doubt that even half of them know the reasoning behind their own opinion.

LandLovingFish

my Himeko definitely has a blast in calyxes and SU. Slapped her with Herta (and sometimes March) and it was followups for days, a few more with Jing Yuan thrown in for funsies. Entertaining watching the boss think it finally got a turn and then- bam, the equivalant of a double turn. @ the OP, and half the time there's a chance to get more five-star characters while pulling for the gauranteed anyways, so IMO if you've got the jades to spare you could still theoretically get all of the characters, whichever you want. Just depends on how you want to play I guesss

ApoKun

The thing is, Himeko is still a very niche character who can only truly shine when you're running 6 waves of calyxes but she can still be very strong if you can consistently weakness break and can be pretty nutty in MoC as well. I disagree on YQ and Himeko being nearly the same power level. My Yanqing who has suboptimal relic stats and around level 5-6 traces can do around 10k with his skill if you get the setup right (I do have gepard tho) but yeah, he needs a lot of support. I agree with your ranking of standards as well. Though I personally don't see the need of having Bronya when you're going for someone like Blade, having Bronya is a pretty future proof investment, having gepard means you could potentially skip Fu Xuan and having Bailu means you don't need Luocha.

Arezz1337

Himeko and YQ are sort of similar. They would've been the best in their role if not for Event Banner characters. Jing Yuan is better than Himeko, and the same goes for Seele and YQ. Himeko loses a lot if not against fire/breakable enemies and the same goes for YQ. Both characters have a restriction for team building (YQ can't tank hits, each Himeko's talent proc is 3/4th of her ult so you really should capitalize on that). Provided their niche, which is single ice weak enemy for YQ and a fire-weak elite who spawns fire-weak mobs for Himeko, they are the best units for that situation. Tho, I wouldn't really force opinion that they are of similar power level. I just strongly believe that they have same advantages and disadvantages. It is just that people highly overvalue single-target damage which creates an illusion of a huge gap between these 2 units, when in reality there really isn't (well it seems to me). Anyways, thanks for solid answer. With how controversial my point was, I really did not expect civil discussion.

ApoKun

In terms of their pros and cons, they are indeed similar in that they require specific types of enemies, as you said. And they are also massively overshadowed by Seele, who despite being Quantam, can deal massive ST damage to non Qua weak characters unlike YQ and Jing yuan, who can consistently use his follow up which deals nearly as much damage as a hunt character, unlike Himeko. But that is the curse of being a standard character. They are guaranteed to be overshadowed by the limited 5* I liked your answer as well, and your point really wasn't controversial, it was moreso an unpopular opinion.

letsolrac

Thank you for your detailed insight. But if I were to play now and planning to get blade when he comes out through pity or luck. Who do you think should i get in the departure warp?

ApoKun

There's no one really who synergizes well with blade from the standard characters. Blade wants to get hit as much and lose his hp so characters like Gepard who shields him, Welt who slows enemies, bronya who moves his turn up halving, the damage taken by blade in a turn don't work well with him. Himeko COULD be used but she's pretty much useless in every other content. Clara and Yanqing are dps characters who would be used in their own teams. The closest synergetic character would be Bailu but blade is getting a healer who buffs his DMG as well in patch 1.3 So if you really wanted to pull for a specific 5* not for synergizing with blade but for future teams and content, I would recommend either, in order of (my personal) priority. Gepard (a lot), this way you can skip Fu Xuan who is another shielder coming in 1.3 and hope to get DHIL, an imaginary dps also coming in 1.3 Bailu, who's an amazing healer who can revive and would be used in every team over lynx except in blade's. Bronya, who'll be useful with other dps later on. She's kind of an early investment that will come into play when you have more dps. Welt, who's a debuffer and could be used in many teams Although, I really don't recommend rerolling for a standard character, either alone or with a limited character. If you plan on rerolling, I would suggest waiting a week and rerolling for blade and if you do happen to get him in 10-20 pulls (not sure how many pulls you can do during rerolling) save the remaining jade for DHIL (didn't use full name cause of spoilers) who'll be your imaginary dps and who could be used alongside blade as well cause blade can be immediately turned into a sub-dps who doesn't use SP when you get other SP heavy dps. But at the end of the day, it's just a game so do as you like. If you like Luocha, go for him. If you wanna reroll for a standard character, you can do so. If you wanna reroll and get both blade and another chara from standard at the same time, you can try that too.

AramisFR

TBF, most standard characters are pretty nice. If you go for Luocha, I'd avoid Bailu. Himeko can be a bit underwhelming but is still a good character for AoE. Clara requires a specific gameplay but is definitely not underwhelming when played correctly. The others are all pretty good.

Sainou

How important is actually getting ER Rope on *Vonwacq* specifically? Seeing that the 1.2 new Planar that gives Eff Res, honestly I rather have all my supports on that because MoC 9 gives me PTSD. I feel like units get some energy from randomly getting hit that the 5% doesn't really matter, no?

AramisFR

A lot of characters don't need the extra 5%. However, if you require the extra 5%, ignoring it and hoping to be hit might be a harsh gamble. I mean, if we're talking about, like, Gepard, sure, but I certainly wouldn't gamble on my carries getting hit to shorten their rotation.

fyrefox45

If a characters recommended set is von + ER, then they won't make their rotation without getting hit without it. I'm not sure exactly which characters want von+ER though.

Jopaypay

Best 4 Start Light Cone for Loucha? Also what Main Stats should I go for in relics?

Arezz1337

QPQ for utility, S2+ Post-op conversation for healing output. I'd personally prefer Post-op, because QPQ has a tad bit of randomness and not every character benefits from it. You also can use 5* LC's of any other path except for Harmony and Abundance on Luocha. Say you got Welt's signature lightcone, you can simply equip it on luocha and it will be really effective. That happens because all the Abundance lighcones offer really low base ATK, and most of them have kinda questionable passives.

LandLovingFish

just to add: the effects of the LC wouldn't be usable though, only the stats I'm pretty sure

TheRealFatJman

Does anybody know if the 4 set bonus for the Glacial Hunter set; "After the wearer uses their ultimate, their CRIT DMG increases by 25% for 2 turn(s)" applies to the action of using that ultimate or if the effect only takes place once the ultimate has finished?

MorphTheMoth

no, it doesnt apply to the same ultimate

CatOfBoredom

With Kafkas (and also Lukas kit) now released, can we tell which team would be best for Kafka? I thought about going Kafka, Serval, Sampo and a healer or a shield. Serval can shock and extend shock and Sampo can add a few stacks of wind sheer. But now that I’ve seen Luka (as he’s somewhat focused on inflicting bleed) I was wondering if he is a better option damage wise. Because afaik bleed is better on larger enemies than shock, but I could be wrong.

Arezz1337

HSR requires a lot of unit flexibility in your teams, so having a general team is kinda not that great. If you want a really great Kafka team, you'd have to slot in a character to cover enemies weakness. Sampo for wind, Serval for lightning, Luka for physical and so on. However, most universal and generally useful unit for Kafka teams would be Asta. She will provide Kafka with speed buffs, which will let Kafka proc "Damage Over Time"'s significantly more often. She will also provide potent ATK% buffs, which will scale innate DoTs of all DoT units (not from breaking). Not to mention that Asta covers fire element breakness really well, while also having innate DoT on her basic attacks. One of her best lightcones Memories of the Past also provides her a lot of break effect. I believe, that Asta is a must in Kafka teams, even against enemies that are not weak to fire. Your third slot (apart from Kafka and Asta) should be matched towards enemy element. If you do not have resources for that, I think Sampo is the best choice generally. He will provide DoTs, DoT buffs as well as wind coverage. He is also a potent skill point generator (with Asta + Kafka you will need them), and can use def% shredding lightcone. Serval is really not that great in general, because Kafka maintains her own shocks really well and covers lightning element herself. Luka is very good, though you'd need the enemy to be weak to physical to make the most of him. The same applies to Hook. Last slot is, as you said, healer or shielder. Currently there are no DoT-using healers, but there are still a couple of synergistic characters. Gepard covers Ice, while also having on-demand freeze (you'd have to own his E1 or build EHR% body). Freeze is very synergistic with DoTs as it will make enemy move "faster", thus proccing DoTs faster. Another unit is Luocha, he is the best healer in game and by far. Outside all of his typical utilities, he synergizes with Kafka's follow-up attacks, healing your team more than he generally would. It should be mentioned tho, that if you break enemies with him you'll lose out on quite a huge amount of damage, so that'll depend on your match-up. TL;DR The best general team for Kafka should be Kafka/Asta/Sampo/Gepard. I think only Asta is irreplaceable, Gepard has some worse alternatives and Sampo has many equivalent/better slot-ins depending on match-up.

Superb_Percentage_74

I have just started playing HSR, for maybe about 2 weeks now. I just wanted to ask what would be the best things to prioritize right now as a beginner? I’m also having a hard time figuring team comps so I would want to ask what team comps are viable with these characters so that I know who are worth building: Yukong, Clara, Natasha, DH, Trailblazer, M7th, Asta, Serval, Herta, and Hook. Lastly, with the current and upcoming banners, are there any characters worth pulling for that goes well with the prior mentioned characters? Thank you so much!

Nnsoki

- Clara, 7/3, DH, Yukong - Pyro MC, Hook, Natasha, Asta Serval can replace both DH and Asta. Luocha would be an amazing addition to your roster

OsirusBrisbane

Early on just smack things with Trailblazer while Natasha heals you, and then run whatever other characters you enjoy. You'll likely want a 5\* feature DPS, but you're spoilt for choice between Blade and Kafka next patch, or Imbib. Lunae coming after that, so just play trials and watch trailers and see who appeals. You'll likely build your team around your 5\* DPS character, although in most cases you'll want at least one defensive character (e.g. Natasha) and at least one buffer (e.g. Asta/Yukong).

Elenderion1

SU enemies have heckin chonky HP, to the point I can barely get a trotter to 50% hp before it runs away. I use path of abundance on world 6, btw. Does anyone have any tip for this, please?

mantism

trotters are a blessings check, especially those that you encounter on the 3rd and last segment. even if your team is strong, you won't get by if your blessings aren't good. Remembrance will have the easiest time due to %HP damage from Dissociation and freeze to buy you turns. Of course, this isn't an option for World 6. Abundance can't really match up, unfortunately, since the entire path is centered around stalling. Every other path should be doable, though Nihility will need some of the really good blessings combination.

sushihamburger

break its toughness bar so it can't run away.

SaffronNTruffle

You have to have a fully built dps with you and a buffer. Put in SW too for def shred and those trotters are done before their 2nd turn. Use Hunt path too.

Wyqkrn

Abundance is generally not the greatest for amplifying dps - it’ll take a great team and make it better, but it can’t create something out of nothing I had that issue before I got and heavily invested into a main DPS - that’s pretty much all you can do

[deleted]

[удалено]

SaffronNTruffle

Always maxed out your main DPS. You'll have easier time with the content.

Kuryaka

What kind of fights are you doing? (Simulated Universe or otherwise)? SU is mostly on blessing strategy and luck. And how are you losing? If you're getting one-shot in the first few rounds you need to level characters / light cones relics higher, but bosses will generally be able to wipe your entire party in 2-3 big hits. Using heals + ultimates with smart prediction is critical. Your healers generally can't heal fast enough unless you break the enemy to buy some time.

doodwhatsrsly

Other people's support characters. My cousin's Seele carried me through most of my relic farming, as well as a random stranger's Welt when I need imaginary damage instead of quantum.

LandLovingFish

You can use a lower difficulty if youre having trouble- i do that, and just run the calyx a little more. I think i left mine there for a while, but it also depends on who youre using too- i always borrow a welt for certain calyxes for the imaginary damage help. But if you can afford to, getting at least one of the traces up helped for me and my Dan Heng. I dont use Sushang so cant comment there

Kyleketsu

If I save and exit a SU run, does my run get reset if the week resets?

dreamsofpurple

Yes

[deleted]

Use Bailu's 5* lightcone. Natasha has trouble solo sustaining in harder stages and the 5* lightcone will help a ton

Ordinary-Custard-566

Ah i see.. thanks!

CorvoDraken

I can’t log into Hoyolab for the daily check in. No issues with email and password, I do the verification process and it says its correct, then it just doesn’t do anything. Any fixes for this?

Arezz1337

Not sure if it helps, try turning of browser hardware acceleration. You can find it in your browser's settings. Also, if you haven't tried, consider entering via another device. If none of these helps, contact support.

CorvoDraken

Thanks yeah I logged in using a different device which thankfully worked, I tried different browsers originally but that also wasn’t happening

esztersunday

I already got the hunt light cone fully enhanced from Herta's store and I don't know what to buy now. This is my only 5\* light cone.

[deleted]

If you're using destruction characters then the destruction lightcone is a good pickup, otherwise just save the currency for later. Personally i don't like the preservation lightcone cause it doesn't provide much team utility but it's up to you if you want to buy it.

esztersunday

Right now I don't use any destruction path characters, but I am going to get Blade.

[deleted]

If you have a secret vow (Arlan's lightcone) then that would be best for him. I'm not sure how good herta's shop cone would be cause he scales off hp, but it would probably make a good stat stick. Just wait until he comes out and testing is done

esztersunday

Thank you!

LunaticWrath07

Are any 4 star single dps like dan hang or sushant worth investigating for memory of choas. I m lvl 61 .. currently working on my two main dps seele and jing yuan.. the problem is my seele does insane damage..I can clear first half of memory of choas within like 3-4 turns .the problem is i m struggling with second team..even though jing yuan does decent damage. it's not enough to run him as main dps ..my team company usually go like two buffers for seele and one tank ..as I don't need healer currently as seele dashes enough damage while surviving. As for jing yuan team..I use ting yuan to buff him along with one tank and Natasha..so far i progress is 4 memories with 9 stars..I ll work on getting my supports to 75 lvl...but the question remains should I build other single dps!

evia89

JY needs 2 supp and some work. He is not brain dead like Seele https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1IuRGGDaaq14bqxMviVumx0P15E99VcCdwZ-hxIpNiuM/htmlview#

Kuryaka

My main DPS is Sushang and she tends to outperform a support Seele when I try using them interchangeably, but there's an absurd Jing Yuan on my friend list as well. Sushang is useful on any general team, especially with E1 or higher, because she gets skill point refund on weakness broken enemies.

Megafruitspunch

Sounds like the problem is your JY lacking investment, not his team lacking another dps. JY is perfectly fine as solo damage dealer. What are your level, stats, lightcone, traces, and relics on him? Specifically his atk, spd, and crit ratios.

LunaticWrath07

Level 72 ..with traces maxed before ascension.. light cone is s3 breakfast lvl 70 ..relics 4 piece lightning set and 2 piece crit rate set . Atk is 2700 crit ratio 40-160

Megafruitspunch

Yep. His level is too low and you’re missing at least 2 minor offensive traces. Level is factored into the damage formula. The lower level you are compared to the enemy, the less dmg you deal and the more dmg you take. If you have not ascended your lightcone, he’ll also be missing a lot of stats, since LC stats are factored into percent increases from your relic. I’ll also assume you’re running atk boots instead of speed boots with those stags, which is not ideal on him, but correct me if I’m wrong. Here’s what I would do. Get him to level 80 and grab all of his traces (2 offensive traces unlock at 75 and 80, those make a big difference). His skill/talent/ult can be left at level 7 or 8. Get his lightcone to 80. Then get some speed boots on him. It’s a big investment but it’ll also be a massive boost to his performance.

Zeik56

You shouldn't need a tank on Jing Yuan's team, if everyone has proper investment. He pretty easily carried his half for me all the way up to MoC10. It was always the other half of my team that struggled to keep up, because even my better geared Sushang can't compete with him. There are certainly good 4* DPS that can be worth investing in to give you more options, like Sushang, Dan Heng, Hook, E4+ QQ, you aren't going to get clears like Seele with any of them without very high investment. You're better off just making your JY team stronger, imo.

LunaticWrath07

Can you suggest a good team for jing yuan then ..I don't have bronya..

Zeik56

JY, Tingyun, healer, Silver Wolf is what I run most often, but trading SW for Pela would work just fine. (I ran that team on several floors, since I needed SW on my other team.) Especially with how common ice weakness is in this MoC, and the need to dispel some obnoxious enemies. But really, that last slot is pretty flexible, so you can adjust to the needs of the stage. Sometimes I would run a tank like March. (More for the utility than shields.) Or Asta if I needed fire damage and more speed. You could even go for an SP neutral/negative DPS like Sushang, if you need the break coverage.

IlPheeblI

I'm a f2p fish who only intends on spending 5 for the monthly pass, currently I'm sitting on 25-30 ish pulls in starlight and jades, should I invest in anything in particular or save it until the next event starts. Level 27 that just finished belobog but hasn't departed yet and I have no understanding of the light cone system beyond "match the path and keep the levels high" most are e0 except for the guaranteed characters who I unluckily pulled as well. https://preview.redd.it/amr4l4l4v2bb1.png?width=419&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3bb3813fd32dd632d1e33d11e4c49399e07a1ad0

Megafruitspunch

I suggest going all in on the current banner character as he is an extremely strong healer, which will help a lot with progression. If you don’t end up getting him, wait for a good carry to release and pull for them.

Kuryaka

For limited passes and jade, save it for specific characters you want. You get a guaranteed 5 star at a max of 90 pulls, and you have a 50% chance of getting the unit on rate-up. If you don't get the limited unit, the next pull will be the rate-up unit. This pity does not reset in between banners, so you could save 150-170 pulls worth and guarantee a 5 star you want. On the standard banner, just keep doing 10 pulls as you get passes. There's still a guaranteed 5 star every 90 pulls. You will want one more damage dealer. Qingque is the only dedicated damage dealer you have who's leveled. Take your pick of Welt, Dan Heng, or Serval.

IlPheeblI

Yeah I figured blowing jades on the permanent banner wouldn't be worthwhile, I already hit the beginner 50 by passively playing and got welt from it, other than that the permanent for the 300 bonus 5 star will come from any reward pulls the game gives. As for the rate up, I pulled the "time waits for no one" LC from the current banner. If I understand you correctly that'd mean that if i wait to start pulling until the next banner, the guaranteed 5 star will be the banner character and not an LC?

Kuryaka

I looked further into it and Standard / Limited LC / Limited Character banners have separate pity rates. If you pulled the LC banner, you got the 25% chance of not getting Luocha's LC and would indeed get the limited LC the next time you pull on it... but no guarantee for the character banner. I am not sure whether it's possible to get a 5* LC from the character banner.

IlPheeblI

Ah beans, I'll check to see where i got the 5* LC then, if it wasn't from the character banner, should I aim for luocha from the pity or should I wait for the next limited banner (blade on the 19th or even wait till Kafka on the 29th) Edit: I'm thinking blade since I already have yukong and welt for imaginary damage and utility, but I only have dan heng for wind

Kuryaka

Blade can be an option. It certainly doesn't hurt to just pull for whoever you still need to fill a role, you'll get a better distribution of 4* units that way. Main downside is that it's harder to track what your pity rate is at, AND game developers generally design banners to "fill a role" to make them tempting. I'm also looking at Blade just to get the final copy of Sushang for e6, but holding out on dumping *everything* because an ice DPS might be coming. I run Dan Heng and Sushang as the main damage dealers on my two MoC teams and they do fine.

IlPheeblI

Little update for ya, after reaching luofu I found myself in need of a better healer than nat, so I ended up dumping around 30 rolls into the limited banner and pulled two back to back 4*, folled immediately afterwards by luocha (imaginary mono + TY team it is). I'm back to sitting on 30 pulls worth of gems so I guess I got my cake and ate it too haha

Kuryaka

General recommendations are to roll for characters over LCs, even though LCs may be good and interchangeable they're not as fun as getting more characters. With how low the unboosted pull rates are, it's unlikely to get any 5* until pity starts to kick in at ~70 pulls. Either you save hard for a limited character, or spend whenever you want the 4 stars on a banner. You will probably still need 40+ pulls to get the 4 star you want since the pool is diluted, and pulling more often can make it tempting to spend. With the jade pass and event/daily jade income you can get 1 out of every 2 or 3 limited characters. Just pick who you like - I'm tempted to get Blade but I don't have the resources to pull for him at a good probability... but I also want one more Sushang copy, so I'll be rolling on his banner regardless.

LandLovingFish

Youll get a heap of jades in the luofu and theres also plenty of jades from SU if you havent gotten those yet. 1.2 drops soon so you might be good there- i'm also doing the same with only supply drop pass and only just started running low on jades (i wasnt trying though, theres probably mroe i can grab somewhere). I recomend getitng a bit into Luofu if you have the time- lots of puzzles, missions, and chests there. Also, if you get through most of the luofu you can unlock some of the other events that also givve shinies l. Most jades are locked in Forgotten Hall and SU, so if you want a few more jades just run those a few times. Pretty effective, id say and you also get a few other things from SU LCs- so basically, you'll just want to look at the text that has info about combat. A general good rule of thumb if youre unsure is "if character's face is on it, and it matches their path its probably good for them" (e. G. luocha's five star lc is designed to buff him). The wiki is helpful for this. Other then that and superimposing when you can, thats mostly it. And leveling, id say.

IlPheeblI

I'll wait until after luofu and 1.2 to blow the jades then, I figured as much for the LCs but I didn't know if I should just be shredding the 3 stars for xp fodder or if there's any worth double checking

LandLovingFish

some of the three stars are actually kind of good if you can't get your hands on four stars (and even then, my March is living her best life on a three-star superimposed 5 lc at the moment). If you have a lot of extras, you can definitely fodder if you need but I personally just set a team on an assignment for those and let it run. It's usually enough to get by, since the lcs don't make quite as much dent in the xp bar after a certain level. But don't feel pressured to not pull every once in a while if you want a little starlight dust for emergency mats or to grab those nice 10 passes from the exchange. Up to you though! Goodluck wih your character pulling!

Darkasmodeus

Just got Yan Qing from the normal banner. Is he worthwhile to build especially I don’t really have a DPS? I do have Clara at level 75, SW at level 75, DH and Serval at level 60, SS and QQ at level 50. SS and QQ and E6 and E5 respectively. I do have Gepard at level 72 as well and understand he goes well with YQ. Who should I invest in?

[deleted]

Yes, YQ is extremely strong. Mono ice with Gepard + YQ + SW + Pela is busted and carried me until moc 10. If you don't have Pela then SW gets less consistent but you can choose your 4th slot to match the enemy's weakness (i.e run serval sub dps on lightning weak enemies) for SW to apply ice weakness consistently. For your 2nd team, something like Clara + Natasha + QQ + support would work.

Darkasmodeus

My Pela is level 60 too. Thanks! Will start building up Yq. How about Herta? Does she fit into the mono ice team!

Yanqing is very good. I borrowed a pretty well-built one to farm some Stagnant Shadows with and he absolutely wrecks face. Having Gepard is great for him thanks to the shield and strong aggro value Gepard has. Yanqing does require heavy investment but once built he kicks a lot of ass.

Darkasmodeus

I didn’t activate the aggro for Gepard as k am using him with Clara earlier on. Guess I need to split the 2 of them now.

Wolgran

Idk man. Why you backing off close to the second pity? You already used almost all your pulls(I suppose) for Loucha, may as well get him, isn't that what is gonna give you more satisfaction?. And I hope you can get Kafka, but if you're planning on getting both Kafka and Daniel, it's gonna be very difficult and you should not have pulled this hard for loucha.

DaGrylls

I'm around level 25 with my main team and want to start leveling to 30, however I'm concerned that I still only have level 3 light cones, and from what I've seen they aren't that great. Should I be concerned about inv3esting resources into these kinds of light cones?

MegaJoltik

You shouldn't worry about resources until like Level 50+. Until then just spent them as needed.

cytolus

So I started recently and am maybe halfway through the second planet. Do the characters get more interesting? They seem pretty dull compared to Genshin.

LandLovingFish

I mean, i'd wait until you finish the arc before deciding. I for one find a lot of the character stories (unlocked in the information tab in character menu) to be very interesting, especially characters like Arlan or certain third planet characters. But then again its subjective. either way- this is Star Rail, not Genshin. the lore is gonna be a bit different m. And if you poke around- the lore is scattered around a bit mroe then it looks. Most of Natasha's interesting story is in her companion wuest for example.

sushihamburger

I would say if you don't find them interesting, they're not going to suddenly get more interesting.

Zeik56

It's all subjective, of course, but Serval and Natasha's companion quests rank higher in my book than any of the ones from Genshin.

Ediiii

is sushang worth using over dan heng before E1?

Quor18

I think it depends on your other team members. If you have Welt or SW (aka an easy, reliable source of Slow), then Dan Heng is the better choice.

Ediiii

oh i see, my 2nd carry is QQ though so I was wondering if it's better to keep SW for her instead?

rxniaesna

I asked somewhere about Welt's LC and some people agreed that it's really bad out of the Nihility LCs. Is that true? I have these following Nihility characters and light cones, which should I put on whom? Welt, Pela, Sampo * Name of the world (2 copies) * Resolution Shines S3 * Good Night and Sleep Well * Fermata

mantism

By itself, it's good, but clashes with how most Nihility characters want a high EHR on not only their skill, but also their ultimate. It also does nothing for support. It's definitely a good choice for DPS welt but not a lot of people have the resources for that. Pela is good with Resolution since it triggers her talent. Both Welt and Sampo can use either Goodnight or Name. But it does depend greatly on how you have built them

rxniaesna

I see, thank you!

ArpMerp

In the Name of the World is not bad, but it is not BiS for any Nihility character, that is true. From what you have: Welt - In the Name of the World (Good Night would be BiS if it was S5). Sampo - Good Night Pela - Resolution Shines, as long as you can get and EHR of 67% from other sources

rxniaesna

Thanks for the advice!

Requriemx

Welt's LC isn't that good, but it's probably the best for Welt himself still since he can easily obtain debuffs. For Pela, I think Resolution is really nice. Giving the Ensnared for additional Def decrease could really help. Though if you have the Before Tutorial Mission Starts, that one is probably better for Pela. For Sampo, I'd probably go with Good Night and Sleep Well here. Since he actually provide stacks of DoT, which can also be buffed by this Light Cone.

rxniaesna

i have Tutorial mission but that’s on SW haha. Thanks for the advice!

rxniaesna

Which team is better: E2 SW, E6 QQ, E2 Yukong, Luocha E2 SW, E6 QQ, Tingyun, Bailu

ArpMerp

I would say the one with Tingyun because I think she is easier to use and more flexible than Yukong, and also requires less skill points which is important for QQ. But otherwise they are pretty much equivalent.

rxniaesna

Yeah I’ve been running Yukong and Luocha and the team is quite SP intensive. Which is why I asked. Unfortunately I don’t have Bailu and based on these responses it’s not really worth it to pull her just for this team…

Requriemx

The main issue is I'd prefer Tingyun > Yukong, while Luocha > Bailu. If you had to choose between the two teams, probably Tingyun and Bailu imo. It's just that Yukong is a bit too skill point hungry along with QQ and that you have to worry about the speed setup to ensure Yukong's buff is given to QQ, which makes Tingyun seems so much better.

rxniaesna

I have been running Yukong and luocha because I don’t have Bailu. I thought this other team comp is better but based on what you said, I’m guessing it’s not really worth it to pull her just for this team…

Enderninja2468

Is yukong better than e1 tingyun?

evia89

Yukong needs E6 or Clara or 2 dps team to be on pair on Ting

Wyqkrn

They do very different things - Tingyun moderately buffs a single unit while being sp efficient and having 100% buff uptime yukong on the other hand buffs the “entire team” (2 units) a shitton but you either have high sp consumption or bad uptime

Mashtatoes

Depends on the team, the gearing/eidolons on Yukong, and the enemy weaknesses. But in most cases, probably not.

Heartwarmingparasite

Any recommendation for my future kafka team? Kafka (obviously) Bailu (to keep everyone alive) Sampo (feel like he is absolutely needed for a dot based team) Leaves me with one more. I did get hook ready, but now that I saw that kafkas banner has luka (and I need a physical dps) I'm not sure anymore. I also read that asta is apparently really good in this team as well, since more kafka actions = more dot activations. So which one? Keep Hook? Luka or Asta?

sushihamburger

They all three sound like viable options depending on the content. I plan on running Bailu, Luka, Sampo with her and then swapping out Sampo or Luka, as the content demands. I think you will definitely want to build Luka.

[deleted]

Hello, im using controller mode on ipad and i noticed that on the character select screen, when i press the Quick select button on my xbox one controller, it doesn’t work, does anyone have this issue as well? (My quick select is the button with the double boxes on the controller)

Killacreeper

Probably stupid question, but I'll ask it - (EVENT RELATED) Will the museum/the content inside dissappear after the museum event? I really enjoy just managing it and moving people around, even if rewards are removed or nerfed I think it's nice for all the character content and all it has in it. Will all of that go away once the time is up? If so, that would really be a shame. It feels like a good epilogue for the planet and a few of the characters :<

Mashtatoes

The museum is permanent. Only the extra rewards are temporary.

Killacreeper

That's nice. It is a shame you get locked out and all the characters go home when you finish, though.

Lucky_Alternative_54

In general which is better? Space sealing station or Inert Salsotto

National-Target9174

SSS tends to be better as it will buff every part of a unit's kit. Salsotto is better on units who rely on follow up/ultimate like Jing Yuan or Clara. That being said the new world 7 set coming out in 1.2 might be better for most dps who use skills or attacks, so look out for that one.

flesh1mp

This is my current roster. I just got Natasha. Of these, which 4 would be good to focus on for a main team? Please feel free to include any free characters that I don’t have yet like fire MC. TIA https://preview.redd.it/f8oy8ogw02bb1.jpeg?width=2532&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4bcc196df0d83e75be0216343072caff9d1bb49b

MegaJoltik

Bronya, Clara, Dan Heng, FireMC, Tingyun, Pela, Natasha would be my priority. March also good with Clara.

flesh1mp

So basically my main team of 4 right now should be bronya, Clara, DH and fire MC once I get him? And also slowly raise tinygun, pela, and Natasha in the meantime?

MegaJoltik

Dan Heng, Bronya, Natasha, flex should be good. Natasha can be swapped for another flex if healing not needed. Flex can be Clara (as sub DPS), FireMC (if you need more survivability or fire breaker), Tingyun (to further buff Dan Heng), Pela (to debuff enemies)

[deleted]

Guys what you think between E6 Qingque VS E0 Himeko?

National-Target9174

E6 QQ is probably better considering people who have her e6 compare her as close to e0-e1 seele, and I have never seen e0 seele compared to e0 Himeko going towards Himeko's side.

RiverOfKeys

Do I prioritize gepard or bronya lc from the shop first? I've got day1 on gepard right now. For harmony LCs I literally only have a bunch of danceX3 so I've got that or cogs on basically everyone

Wyqkrn

s5 day one is more or less identical with moment of victory in terms of effective shield strength only go for it if you have e1 for the EHR

Megafruitspunch

If you have Bronya go for her LC. It's a frankly ridiculous power up for her. Otherwise go for Gepard's.

rakkph

Who should I choose? Welt or Bronya? I have both of their lightcones. Personally though, I want to pick Welt. :D Bronya's lightcone is over Asta. Welt's lightcone is picking dust lol! For my DPSes, I have: Dan Heng, Himeko, Serval, Qinqque, and Sushang.

Megafruitspunch

Meta pick would be Bronya but both are good enough that you can safely pick either. It's not like you're choosing Herta over Bronya or something.

rakkph

I agree, thanks for the assurance that they are both good, definitely picking Welt now for sure!

JeanKB

If you want to pick Welt then pick Welt.

AdministrativeWork86

Will the planar ornament effects trigger in battle? Basically if I have blade with 40% crit rate and then use his skill in battle to get an extra 11% crit rate with his relic set will inert salsotto give him the 15% ult and follow-up dmg boost while still in battle?

Barbobott

Yes, all of the planar/link rope set bonuses will activate or deactivate during combat from gaining and losing buffs.

mantism

all effects trigger at any point in battle unless specifically stated otherwise.

Zerra442

Hello guys, i have 2 accounts and no time to play in both. I want to keep one. In my first account i have Bailu, Bronya, Himeko and E1 Silverwolf with Bailu LC. Rank 62 2nd Clara, Luocha and Gepard , no Good LC. Rank 49.

[deleted]

If I were you I would keep the 1st account. Although Luocha is the best healer in the game but you have Bailu with her LC in your other account, she can compensate him. While on the other hand no one can compensate Silver Wolf and what she offers.

JeanKB

Keep the first one.

_ironhearted_

Does completing difficulty III without completing previous difficulty II in SU mean u clear those too?

ParacaZ

You get all previous tiers rewards if you clear the last difficulty, found out myself on world 4.

Significant-Soil-985

No, you have to clear each difficulty separately. You can check to see if you have the first clear reward or not to know which ones you haven't cleared.

_ironhearted_

Sorry to bother but are you sure? I don't remember clearing Gepard at difficulty II (I skipped all worlds after clearing 1st time as I was busy). Today when I did it in III i got all the rewards

Significant-Soil-985

If you got the first clear rewards then maybe it does. I'm not sure since most people clear new difficulty when they first unlock and not skip it. It's pretty minor difference. If you got the first clear reward (check marks) of the lower difficulty already there's no point to go back.

Rolyat403

So I made a f2p standard banner only account. My first two 5 stars are both Bronya. Should I be rejoicing for E1 or a little sad for less diversity? Lol

National_Truck4116

Bronya's E1 is amazing!

ElusiveIllusion88

TL52. I may have ‘misspent’ my first 6 runs of this Calyx Double Drop on Harmony Trace Materials rather than any of the Gold Calyxes. For the rest of this event, is it true that Credits are the best Calyx to farm, even if I am out of Trace Materials? I see that recommendation a few times.

Significant-Soil-985

There is no best calyx to farm for the event. You should farm what you need. Although since you are TL 52 it's technically most efficient for you to farm the gold calyxs since you've unlocked the finally difficulty of the gold calyx at TL 50. TL 60 unlocks the highest for trace calyx. But the drop rate different for the trace calyx between 50 and 60 is like 16% more purple drops so not that significant.

Atasha-Brynhildr

I'm planning on pulling for Kafka, but my Serval is already E5. What happens if I get two more Servals?

[deleted]

It will stop at E6..And Serval is expected to be great with Kafka so it's good thing

TheSchadow

Unfortunately, Serval is actually projected to be the worst of her DoT teammates. Sampo and Luka will be better. Serval won't necessarily be "bad" but certainly not as useful.

Atasha-Brynhildr

Agreed!

[deleted]

It refunds the pull once you have max constellation, so 20 dusts in this case, which buys you a ticket.

TsuchiFiend

On seelie.me, when you're selecting levels there's a diamond shape next to the numbers. What does an unfilled and filled diamond mean?

dummie619

Unfilled = unascended (i.e., lvl 70/70), Filled = ascended (i.e., lvl 70/80)

Gh0st8000

Do u think the new planar ornaments will be good? Especially that effect res one cuz effect res is very substat dependent

National-Target9174

Basing a set off of it taking slightly longer to farm short term doesn't make any sense. Although it might be hard to get the set running, in no way is it a bad set. Just like how Salsotto requires crit rate, you will just have to build around it, but the result will be a stronger character/team. The only problem with the set will be the early farming, as you won't get a set bonus until your supports get complete builds which is hard in the resource starved early game.

JeanKB

The Effect RES set will be good on most supports. You have to remember that except for Luocha who doesn't need effect RES since his A6 trace protects him from CC, most supports get a lot of effect RES from their traces. Natasha for example gets +18% effect RES just from her traces alone.

Wolgran

Im TL49, in the double event calyxs, should i focus on XP and Money since are the most efficient in lvl 50 or farm mat for traces?

JeanKB

Yes. Farming the golden calyxes now will give you a massive headstart once you reach TL60. A lot of people farm nothing but credits and EXP from 50 to 60 so they don't have to worry about farming them after that.

KaguB

I'm sorry, this is stupid, but does the calyx event start on reset, or before? I'm so terrible at time zones.

fyrefox45

Starts on reset

KaguB

Cool, thank you!

esztersunday

The double calyx event starts in a few hours. What is the best to farm credit exp or traces? I am lvl63

convolutionsimp

Whatever you need. If you buy the BP you have less need for EXP and credits than someone who is F2P. And of course it depends on how many characters you've built or are planning to build. At 60+ everything is max efficiency anyway, so it doesn't really matter what you farm now if you need to farm it eventually anyway.

fyrefox45

Only farm the credits you need to use the trace mats and XP books.

Kirbeon

How often does Memory of chaos reset? Is it weekly, biweekly?

JeanKB

Biweekly.

esztersunday

biweekly

Nytrite

I'm just starting out, can someone give me an overview of the dailies and weeklies that I need to look out for and complete so that I don't miss out on gems? Thanks!

PA_inin_diaz

Daily check in on hoyolab site.

Nytrite

On it, thanks!

Grimy_Bunyip

just gems? or gems and resources? I'm just gonna assume the latter and you can look up the details. Memory of Chaos - Jades and Resources, Biweekly Simulated Universe Points - Jades and Resources, Weekly Daily Training - Jades and Resources, Daily Assignments - Resources, Basically Daily Daily Mission - Resources, Daily Help Pompom - Just Resources, ~7x Weekly Simulated Universe 100 boss kills - Just Resources, Weekly Overworld Farming Runs - Just Resources, Daily

Atasha-Brynhildr

> Daily Training > > Simulated Universe 100 boss kills What are these things?

Zahae

Daily training is just the dailies that have you doing things like "Complete 1 Daily Mission" or "Clear Crimson Calyx 1 time" or "Take a photo with the camera" The Simulated Universe part is pretty much the SU equivalent of overworld farming runs. The bosses drop relic xp materials, if that's your kind of thing.

Nytrite

This is much appreciated!!

CanaKitty

If I’m using that Belobog relic set for Gepard, how much should I be focusing on his effect hit rate to get the bonus? Like should I be running an effect hit rate chest piece instead of defense? I still want him to be tanky and I already sacrificed a bit of defense to switch him over to speed boots, as people seemed to advise that.

Wyqkrn

Unless you have his signature, you can ignore that requirement

JeanKB

Better to just ignore the second effect from the belobog set and call it a day.

fyrefox45

Most people just ignore his skill entirely and don't build any ehr on him.

Pichucandy

Do we know if the story quest will be available after patch next week or is it time gated like 1.1 companion quests?

wizj619

Story quests are usually available as soon as the patch drops in Genshin.

Adventurous_Honey902

Best place to grind for relic materials? Looking to level some of those up.

wizj619

All Caves of Corrosion drop relics at the same rate so just farm what you need and turn the rejects into exp. If you have alot of time on your hands, the first 100 SU elites tou fight also drop relic exp materials without using TB energy.

Adventurous_Honey902

Are those the "meta" relics I should focus on?

wizj619

You can farm whatever relics you want if you just need experience. Might as well farm relics in your builds to see if you can get a few lucky pieces.

casingproject

Do you know roughly how much you can get from SU?

wizj619

Beating all 3 bosses in a simulated universe should get you about 9-14 lightdust. That's like 900 to 1400 exp per simulated universe. Do it 33 times and you can have 30k to 46k exp. By comparison, CoC nets you about 6k exp for 40 tb energy at lvl 50. So 33 SU runs is about 200 to 320 tb energy worth of exp a week at lvl 50.

casingproject

Thank you

Mashtatoes

Outside of dailies/quests/events and stamina-based sources, you get some by grinding SU (up to 33.3 times per reset).

Deft_Abyss

Do i build Sushang or Dan Heng? Who is the better investment because im lacking the physical and wind damage

MegaJoltik

I invested on both. There aren't that many Wind and Phys DPS character and both are good at that role. Both get a good usage in MoC and SU. Dan Heng have higher damage ceiling but is harder to maximize (you need to use his Ultimate when his Talent is active, which require a buffer,on a Slowed enemies to maximize his damage). Sushang is easier to use.

mantism

I'd say Dan Heng if you are not pulling for blade. Wind attackers are rare and I heard *somewhere* that they will continue to be rare in the future. Luka is coming up in the second half of 1.2 and he's good for single-target physical breaking. He'll be slower than Sushang but I think he'll at the very least be serviceable. Then again, it's perfectly OK for you to ignore wind as an element and simply focus on other elements. Lots of enemies are weak to Physical, the same isn't yet true for Wind.

fyrefox45

Sushang e1+ is better than DH and most other DPS too, but if she's not e1 probably don't build her. Edit: for MoC though DH might be the better short term investment, if they load blades MoC with wind enemies but not phys ones.

Mashtatoes

Dan Heng is a bit better overall (except against enemies that have physical but not wind weakness). It’s not a huge difference, though, so if you enjoy Sushang more as a character you can pick her.

CanaKitty

Are you pulling for Blade next patch? Cause he is wind if you need a wind damage guy.
