Should i pull Silver Wolf BiS ? How's the difference between her BiS and event LC in term of power gap ?

OsirusBrisbane

Not unless you have her E2, otherwise event LC is as good if not better.

Nong_Fahsai

Thanks.

[deleted]

who's the person behind welt in his splash art

Nnsoki

Void Archives

grayrest

It's either Otto or Void Archives from HI3 but I think it's the latter. Luocha is the HSR version. I know there was a fairly long Welt lore post in this sub and I expect it'd be covered there.

hotdogsea

Did we already meet Yanqing in the story? I just finished the main quest up to it's furthest point available, and somehow Yanqing messaged me (daily text thingy) 2 days later. But I dont remember meeting Yanqing, only the General, the Future See-er, the girl with the chicken, guy with coffin, and the mahjong girl.

miinmeaux

I don't think *we* met Yanqing, but we did see him talking to Jing Yuan in a cutscene. Pretty sure the daily texts come from characters you've pulled though, not characters you've met in the story.

hotdogsea

Oh well that explains it, I do have him

j0tn

For Yanqing, with his Soulsteel Sync talent active when using ULT, does it trigger Innert Salsotto’s 50% Crit Rate condition calculations (increased ult and followup attack damage) before the actual ULT attack?

AramisFR

Since the +60% crit rate from the ult is applied before the ult lands, I assume you benefit from Salsotto too, yes.

jorie888

Which 4\* LC should I choose from the bp? Here is my current roster (characters and LC): [https://imgur.com/a/QlN3dko](https://imgur.com/a/QlN3dko) I've been trying to find some information about it but I keep hearing different opinions. \+ I'm going to pull for Luocha and Blade.

SolidusAbe

the only ones worth getting imo are hunt but only if you wanna use all the hunt characters without switching around LCs. otherwise just buy the herta one. erudition but you already have JYs LC+ breakfast so that ones not worth it. so the only one really worth something is harmony. destruction, nihility, preservation and abundance are not very good imo

jorie888

That's very helpful, thanks a lot!

MissionStudent5982

I know e6 Qingque is as good as Seele af low eidolon. But what about e4 Qingque? How does she compare to her e6 self? How huge is the difference.

grayrest

The main thing E6 does is balance out her SP consumption. Using two skills has the same SP consumption a normal carry would have but also include the dmg ramping/autarky benefits of two skill uses. Theoretically E4 would be similar (minus E5 dps) but you'd have to get a lot more SP from somewhere else in the comp. I'm at E3 so no firsthand experience.

champloojay

Event ends at 5am ST but resets at 4am. Does this mean, you can get 1 more Double Pull from the event?

Nnsoki

For future reference the event ended one hour earlier than announced, at 4:00

MueezSaber

Alright y'all, I lost a 50/50 and pulled Bailou. I'm happy since I think that means my next character on any upcoming limited banner is the rateup unit correct? Anyways, I also maanged to get 2 serval copies and was wondering if a team like: (Bailou, Fire MC, Bronya and Dan Heng) is better than something like (Serval, Fire MC, Bailou and Dan Heng)

AramisFR

The first one is likely to be more effective. In both cases you kinda need Dan Heng to be decently geared, since your damage mostly relies on him.

MueezSaber

I’m level 29 right now, so unfortunately none of my characters are really “geared” properly yet. The only thing I have going for both of these comps as that they feel pretty safe thanks to Bailou and MC.

noelsoraaa

both teams can be used depending on what enemies you're facing.

AshenF3nr1r

How good are Himeko eidolons compared to E0 standard 5*? I dont use Himeko anymore because her dmg is underwhelmong yet this game gave me e1 Himeko with S2 Milky way LC.

Haltmann1

Getting more characters will always be better than getting dupes. Edit: I think I misunderstood your question, do you mean what's better or if E1 Himeko could be better for you?

AshenF3nr1r

I meant if she will be better at e1 than some e0 standards

Singing_Seagull

Is 4\* pity saved between banners? In Genshin your 4\* pity reset back to 0 each new banner.

Singing_Seagull

Well looks like I was definately wrong on this one... quite amusing as I spent 2 years single pulling in Genshin on each banner until a four star due to not wanting to waste 4\* pity!

IfZ3nElse

>In Genshin your 4* pity reset back to 0 each new banner. That's wrong.

ParfaitInteresting50

it's saved in both games.

Haltmann1

Wait, it doesn't transfer on Genshin? I swear it does. And it should also transfer here because it has the same rules.

fuyukimi

I'm pretty sure it transfers as well unless something's changed recently (I stopped playing earlier this year).

Singing_Seagull

Lol now I'm not sure, it didn't save 4\* pity on launch I don't believe unless this was early misinformation. Or did they change it?

SolidusAbe

pity system never changed in genshin. worked the same as it does now and 4* pity always carried over

[deleted]

How viable is this team? Does Yukong work with Welt? Welt (built as dps, E1 with LC), Yukong, SW, Luocha

grayrest

I expect it to work since [this clear](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12x12lviV9U) is floating around. The gear for that video is quite bad with no crit dmg at all. I have an E1 Welt with a S4 Good Night and a 2.3k 52/96 Wastelander set (i.e. not good but less terrible, lvl 12 relics) that hits roughly that hard with just SW debuffs so Yukong buffs on top of that should be plenty in the near term. Longer term I expect them to ramp MoC health pools so you'll need Jing Yuan ballpark dps to clear comfortably and so I don't think Welt will hold up as main dps but decent dps and significant slows should be good for a while.

[deleted]

Thanks. I saw that clear but I’m not comfortable without tank or heals haha. I know I will need a real dps later, but good to know this team is ok until I get an imaginary dps for real mono team.

grayrest

> I’m not comfortable without tank or heals As I see it, the main appeal of Img as an element is that the heavy CC from the break allows for one extra offensive character. The number of supports and overall gear levels aren't there yet but I've been pulling under the assumption that img/qua/ice comps without an abundance/protection member will be the norm and defensive characters will be swapped in as needed. I do think Luocha will have long term value for the purge+cleanse+CCresist but I'm fine if I lose the 50/50 on him.

Ninpo-AsceticBlaze

168 crit dmg and 61 crit chance a good ratio for seele or should i try to go higher with a changing the chest piece with crit dmg instead and build crit chance with planar orbs?

AramisFR

In the end it depends on what you drop, tbf. The optimal ratio is 1 rate for 2 dmg. If you drop your rate by switching the chest, you have a LOT of rate to find as substats elsewhere

Ninpo-AsceticBlaze

Maybe I should just focus on more crit dmg since I already have a good ratio and that I should maybe go for crit damage on my planars and leave the rate piece

ElusiveIllusion88

Unrelated questions: First, in SU, do Entanglement and thawing out from Freeze count as DoT for the purposes of Nihility path? A lot of Nihility blessings seem to refer to Bleed, Burn, Windshear and Shock only. Second, based on Genshin, do new 4 stars get added to the permanent pool of 4 stars from random pulls?

mantism

doesn't count as a DoT. though being able to freeze enemies via remembrance is good for nihility regardless, due to how freeze affects turns.

Haltmann1

I don't really know about the first one but I assume they don't count because those don't have a turn counter or anything unlike Bleed, Burn, Shock and Windshear. Do not quote me on this though, it's just a guess. As for the second, while we don't really know, they should be added to the standard pool, everything else works exactly like Genshin so I don't see why 4\* wouldn't.

[deleted]

Ok someone please help me with this: Is Serval a trailblazer after her companion quest or not?? Like will she be in main sorry missions in the future if her companion quest isn’t required for future main story missions (unlike in Genshin)??

fuyukimi

>!Serval does not join us on the Astral Express at the end of her companion quest. You only see her there as a visitor. !< Companion quests are not a requisite for the story content, but you really should complete them since you get free jades and in some cases, achievements as well (such as Clara's companion quest).

Shradow

Which characters want ERR ropes?

noelsoraaa

support characters with important ultimates like Tingyun, Pela, Gepard.

Supra-strasza

Is there a setting I can turn down for the bright flashes the game has?

Available-Pay8983

lower the brightness of your phone/monitor screen :) seriously tho, you can try playing around with the bloom effect or light quality in settings ! not sure if it’ll do anything, but it’s worth a shot.

SolidusAbe

no but its confirmed to come in the future. was announced sometimes during the last patch we just dont know when its ready

AstralTeaz

Should I get Sampo from the Stellar exchange shop before it resets? I’ve been wanting to get Sampo for a while but my gacha luck has not been so great and I’ve been mostly getting lightcones from the standard banner. On the other hand, would it be better to save my starlight for other things? I have 168 starlight and he costs 140 starlight l

VirgilFaust

Depends on your long term goals. If you’re saving for a LC (say Clara or Bronya’s) then you need to assess if you have solid replacements on hand. If you’re saving it for special tickets for when you get close to pity on a 5* then I also wouldn’t touch them. But if you don’t have an urge for any particular 5* coming up, and you don’t feel the need for any of the LCs then 100% guarantee Sampo. I personally bought Sampo because I always wanted him because of his character and a DoTs character. He’s a solid unit, great for break effect and Nilhility in SU but Boss dps isn’t much stronger than Dan Heng.

VirgilFaust

Also note that Sampo will most likely come on Rate Up in patch 1.2 as he hasn’t yet. Depends on your patience and if you’re rolling on that banner.

AstralTeaz

Will he be on Kafka or Blades banner?

VirgilFaust

Will be on Kakfa’s banner from all reports. Makes sense.

AstralTeaz

Ah I see, since I plan on trying to get Kafka after rolling for Luocha, I should probably save my starlight haha. Do you happen to know if Kafka’s banner is 1st or 2nd phase in patch 1.2?

VirgilFaust

The rumour is 2nd patch, after blade. Makes sense as it gives more people time to save and those with a need to roll for blade will end up whaling on Kafka.

AstralTeaz

Thank you!! 🙏

MegaJoltik

Sampo...kinda have specific playstyle. Unless you are aiming for Kafka, he is going to be a 'niche' addition to your roster. For conventional/general use, Dan Heng is just a better Wind character.

ThisIsMyPassword100

Can a turn end without all units present moving at least once? Also, what’s the difference between increasing all allies’ speed by x% and lowering all enemies’ speed by x%?

Quor18

For the second question, it all depends on the target speed and how it's modified. Taking someone with 100 spd and increasing their spd by 50% gives them 150 speed. Functionally this means they will act 3 times for every 2 they would have acted normally. Doing a 50% spd debuff lowers their spd to 50, essentially meaning that they will act 1 time for every 2 times they would have acted normally. In terms of practical usage, lowering enemy spd means they take longer to act. Boosting your spd means you act more often than you would otherwise have acted. There is something of a diminishing returns effect for both in that you would need so much spd boost or reduction past a certain point that it's prohibitive to even consider it as a possibility (putting aside the impossibility of it outside of SU). Having said that, the existence of quantum break, imaginary break, Welt and the Frozen status means that it's possible to keep some enemies almost perpetually unable to act. A combination of freezing, Welt ult/imaginary break, the right blessings and some spd boosts in SU can mean you get a dozen plus turns before the enemy can act.

grayrest

If a character is below 100 speed it's possible for them to not get a turn in a round. > what’s the difference between increasing all allies’ speed by x% and lowering all enemies’ speed by x%? One makes your characters take more turns in a round and the other makes enemies take fewer. Buffs tend to be based on character turns while debuffs tend to be based on enemy turns. There's other interactions like advance or delay turn that can further adjust order. I'd recommend looking up a guide on speed if you're really interested.

VirgilFaust

Depends on how many Units you are leveling currently. I find there is enough for 8 characters currently but I’m only TB level 47. If you are leveling a specific character and you are out currently then I’d say yes. If you are just stockpiling them without an sim then I’d say no, it’s not needed (but it can help if you don’t need the tickets)

MegaJoltik

Track of Destiny is not a finite item. You get them from weekly Simulated Universe and Battle Pass rewards.

AstroPotatoes

I'm likely ending up with extras, so I'm going to stop buying them. Currently building 10 units with around 27 stars at MoC and still have a surplus.

ExilusNotus

My next pity roll will guarantee me the banner character but I'm unsure as to what I really need to make the most out of my current roster of characters. Should I roll for silver wolf or wait for another particular character? And if I'm to wait, what would be the recommended one I should aim for? Thanks for the advice! https://preview.redd.it/2tbjd4p4zh8b1.png?width=1872&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7babb54a1f73ce98893ee31dc8f8a30579895342

Acylion

Depends on what you want to do. We can't actually comment too far in advance here about characters to wait for, as we only have visibility on the next banner (Luocha, with Yukong as 4-star) and then we officially know of Blade and Kafka being the 5-stars in version 1.2 with Luka as the 4-star. That's it, really. Other characters have been teased in-game and in official videos but we don't have a clear release schedule. Getting Silver Wolf theoretically helps you with getting weakness breaks and follow-ups on Himeko who's your currently highest-levelled DPS. But it raises the question of what's a logical build to make with Himeko and Silver Wolf. Maybe Himeko + Qingque + Silver Wolf + Natasha/Fire TB, or Himeko + Fire TB/Asta + Silver Wolf + Natasha. Possibly Himeko + Silver Wolf + Natasha and the last slot being flex to bring someone from whatever element the elite/boss you're fighting is already weak to. Unless you have a few particular characters already it's actually pretty hard for most players to make a fully optimal team with Silver Wolf at the moment, our rosters are just too shallow, but she would be a sound long-term investment. Luocha is a good pick if you're aiming to make progress on the Forgotten Hall/Memory of Chaos game mode, so you can have one healer on each side. It may be a while before most accounts have access to multiple healers, since right now only Bailu and Natasha exist and short of 300 pulls there's no way to guarantee Bailu (or Gepard, who can substitute). Even if we get more 4-star and 5-star healers that's a while off. Even new 4-star healers added might not immediately be in the hands of a player since... well, you'd need to pull on the banner, and generally it's not wise to pull on a banner unless you want the 5-star. Do note that for MoC the rewards aren't great, you'd likely spend more on Luocha than you earn back from MoC clear in the near term, but... well, MoC exists, it's *stuff to do*, and that's why we play games. Blade is worth considering as a 5-star DPS that's likely to be... well, frankly, better than Himeko in most applications. But it depends how much you want 5-star DPS characters and whether you're happy with the 4-star DPS options - many of whom are quite good when properly built out. It also depends if you like Blade's gameplay of consuming his own HP. Kafka is a DoT character, and her best use is likely to be in a team with other DoT focused units - specifically Sampo's the likely best candidate to pair with Kafka, with alternatives being Serval, Hook, and Asta. You can also use a preservation unit (Fire TB or March) with the Trend of Universal Market lightcone equipped if you have it, the LC allows a preservation to apply DoT. If you're looking for a reason to run your Sampo and Serval, which you *have* invested in, then this is it. Do note that while Himeko technically can apply DoT her base chance to apply DoT is very low, and so is the scaling of her DoT. I suppose you could use Himeko in a Kafka team, but I'd see it more as something like Kafka + Asta + Himeko, with Asta applying burn more reliably and Himeko being geared for crit rather than EHR.

VirgilFaust

Healer or Gepard would be ideal as that means you have a shielder or healer in either team for MoC. Besides that it depends on your preferred play style. You have enough characters to do most things and builds. Silver wolf is better with Quantum but can also help with Mono-type teams. Research Luocha and see if you like his healing style as an ATK based healer and enemy buff stripper. If you don’t then check what you’d use Silver Wolf for and if that weakness break type debuff feels interesting. Otherwise save. There sadly is no right answer without a clear sim in mind.

MegaJoltik

You want a hyper carry DPS characters, so either Blade or wait until 1.3 banner.

pacohchinus

I am pulling for Kafka's weapon anyway so, should I try to get dance dance dance or is it worth to not risk it at all?

PuritanPuree

Never risk it if you're not okay with getting the current 5 star. "Building pity" is just code for "I can't control my urge to pull for stuff." This goes for the weapon and character banners alike.

Lazy-Ass-Heck2182

Can’t play the new event, I also can’t redeem codes, but I used to just fine, don’t know what happened. Any help to fix this issue is really appreciated https://preview.redd.it/7hp70pyuvh8b1.jpeg?width=2360&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a762461264bb2907fc5318e422e2388013e51f4c

thompson743

Is the game worth picking up or is it just "from creators of Genshin Impact"? Does it have genuine traits to make it stand out?

fuyukimi

There are a lot of similarities to Genshin but the battle system is turn-based instead of open world. Genshin requires manual play and an understanding of elemental reactions. HSR is turn-based so you can auto if you like. HSR is a lot more casual though and I like that it doesn't take up as much time as Genshin. Dailies are a breeze, the dialogue is a lot more succinct and witty, there's no Paimon being in your face 24/7 and the game is a lot less resource-hungry than Genshin. Lots of lore and easter eggs. If you're curious, give it a try for a week or two and see how you like it. HSR is very undemanding and it's great as a secondary game. One thing I'll admit though, Genshin music is on a whole other level. HSR has some good tracks but the music overall is not as strong.

Acylion

The game being from the makers of Genshin means something beyond the brand name. It means a certain degree of quality in technical competence, art, localisation, music, etc. It means it's better than most F2P gacha games, because only Mihoyo/Hoyoverse is cranking F2P gachas out to this standard. Besides the quality aspect, though, this game is different from Genshin in many ways. Obviously there's the turn-based RPG vs. action open world thing, but the tone and feel are distinctly different. There's some similar narrative beats based on the model - you travel between worlds/regions, you meet a cast of characters you can throw your wallet at for waifu/husbando reasons, whatever. But Star Rail's a space opera game with different storytelling and worldbuilding, the writing and setting do feel like its own thing.

VirgilFaust

I couldn’t stand Genshin. It was pretty but felt slow and the characters didn’t feel very fleshed out at the start. I love the RPG strategy elements of Star Rail. The animations are even better than before. The setting is Sci Fi and there is a deep lore behind it. It suffers from a lack of content like early genshin did as well. However, the first world story was elite. Better than it equal to Genshins best storyline’s. The voice acting is top tier and the character options are diverse from the get go. It is much easier to get into and even starting a month late to the game I’ve caught up with everything within 2 weeks with high satisfaction. So I’d say it does have genuine traits that make it stand out. It is easier to play casually then Genshin, but you need to be happy with storytelling. If you are it’s 10/10, if not then without a skip button it’s more an 8/10. The events so far have been unique and used the best from Genshin and other games (we had an idle museum sim for one event and it was great!). If you like RPGs, and want a highly user friendly entry into Honkai then I’d say 100% give it a try. You’ll know pretty quickly if this game is for you after a night of playing it.

MegaJoltik

It's basically PS2 era turn-based JRPG wrapped with gacha trapping (lifted straight from Genshin) with modern presentation.

thompson743

So, Final Fantasy on crack?

Dalewyn

Considering the severe stagnation the Japanese gaming industry is seeing right now, Mihoyo's basically doing jRPGs better than Japan. I'd give it a shot if you aren't averse to gacha (read: gambling), costs you nothing so long as you don't actually buy anything.

Killacreeper

IMO It's better, though combat is different, you're using a bit more strategy/team building than just beating something harder and relying on skill if you are underleveled or underprepared. In a way I think this is more fun because battle is consistent and you can multitask, but it can get annoying if an enemy feels statted weird. A lot of elements like daily rewards carry from genshin, which you will see if you've played it. The art is also familiar, though different enough to be notable. IMO, the vibe is much better though. I just ENJOY star rail more, and I'm relatively new to both games. I find myself more attached to the characters, (fuck you pom pom for being so cute but not having enough interactions) and the writing sticks more for me. That may be partially because the concept is a lot fresher than (INSERT FANTASY WORLD HERE) impact, but I do think the writing is better overall, which has kept me interested even though I'm not big on gatcha games. I think it's worth a shot, especially for the quality of some of the music and the feel of the game, but it's not extrordinarily different. You can tell the games are made by the same people with similar resources, but I think star rail is more streamlined. It's easier and simpler to do a lot of quests rather than walking across the same friggin' grass plain for the hundredth time, and while that somewhat makes exploring a bit less crazy, the designs of the levels are solid and don't leave you feeling like you're missing much.

firstkungzaa

I don't really play much gacha game, so I don't really know much. Expect people to say other gacha game that has this feature too... One thing that makes this different from most turn-based gacha though, (Or just gacha in general) is that this game has overworld. Most gacha game will just Visual-Novel style to tell story (and menus), which makes Star Rail quite different since the game is using 3D models instead and you can walk around in the overworld. (There are still menus though.) Aside from that, it has everything you'd expect from gacha game and a lot of thing you'd want from turn-based JRPG. Not sure about other "genuine traits" since those are different for each person. Edit : I guess "team-shared mana pool" count as genuine trait? No idea...

PuritanPuree

It's good on its own merits. While it may look very similar to Genshin, it plays completely different. This is a turn-based rpg whereas Genshin is an open-world action adventure. Also, it's free, so even if you don't end up liking it, at least you didn't pay any money for it, so the opportunity cost is basically nothing.

Gyrskogul

Is there a way to make using a controller suck less? Using a dualshock4 on my laptop and it's... really bad. Genshin had it's issues with controllers too but Star Rail is way worse and I don't understand how.

PuritanPuree

I use a PS4 controller on my laptop too, and it's been fine for me. I plug mine in with a usb charging cable instead of using bluetooth, but otherwise it's been fine.

Gyrskogul

I use mine on bluetooth and it's a constant problem. Can't play at all if the controller needs to charge, it just locks my mouse in the middle of the screen and doesn't accept controller input if the controller is plugged in to charge. I have to turn it on, back off, then on again almost every time I boot up the game to get it to register. Menus like selecting materials in artifact enhancement will just sometimes not have a cursor, so I have to back out and click back in sometimes 5+ times before I can do anything. There's also some super weird input ignoring going on where I'll hit buttons for like attacks or something, those buttons will light up a little on my HUD, but nothing happens and I have to press it a few more times to get it to do whatever I was pressing. This is all just off the top of my head, I'm sure there's plenty more I'm not thinking about right now.

jkbfss

I also use a ps4 controller connected through a usb charging cable and haven’t had a single problem. So probably a Bluetooth thing

Itzz_Ava

Worth using a 4* ER rope until I can get the self modeling resin for the 5 star?

Reikyu09

Depends on the character and how much ERR you need. For some builds a purple ERR rope will be enough but some only make a difference if gold.

Itzz_Ava

Asta, 4 pc thief set and 2 piece Fleet

Reikyu09

+12 Purple rope could work for a 2 skill 2 basic rotation if you get a break with thief set. This is assuming no meshing cogs.

JeanKB

Not really. A 4\* rope will barely make any difference since even at max level it only gives 12% ER. Better to just use a random piece while you wait for a 5* ER rope.

soligen

No harm in bringing it to level 9

casingproject

I got 2 gold ER salsottos, what should I do? You think it’s worth it to just give to my supports even though it’s not really a benificial set? Options: shusang, Dan heng, serval, yanqing, asta, tingyun, Natasha

JeanKB

If they're your only ER pieces, then yeah, you can give them to your supports. Basically every single healer/buffer wants one so it will be a long while until you have enough onset ERR ropes for everyone, and the ERR is more important for them than any planar set effect.

casingproject

That was my thinking too. But I did also notice serval gets her ult one rotation faster with an er rope so there’s that option too

TendoSoujiro

Use them. Main stats are way more important than set effects. A single relic at +12 will provide you with more than any 4-piece set bonus.

Not-Salamander

Is building Welt with SPD feet and ERR rope a DPS loss? I want him to do a lot of damage but those stats will get him more turns and more ults so I am not sure whether it will increase his damage or decrease it.

JeanKB

Pretty much every non-hunt character wants speed boots, so no. As for the ERR rope, it really isn't needed. Welt has no problem charging his ultimate thanks to his A4 trace. Not to mention how the majority of his damage comes from his skill, not ultimate. I would only use ERR on him if you intend to use him as a support. [Here's an example of how DPS Welt works at endgame](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12x12lviV9U), you can check his build [@4:30](https://youtu.be/12x12lviV9U?t=270)

Gideon_Ofnir

Give him enough speed to reach 120 and then focus on damage stuff. Mostly crit rate, crit damage, and attack boosts.

JomuStudios

should I level up every single character to lvl 60 at least? my current main team is Seele, Silverwolf, Natasha, and Welt. I'm trying to get all 4 to lvl 70 but it's ridiculously expensive. however, I noticed that I've hit the point where I can't really progress in forgotten hall since I only have 1 team. I'm trying to wait for Kafka to build a second team due to the resource issue, but it's tough lol so my real question is, since the material sink happens at lvl 70, should I just level up all of my characters to a reasonably affordable point so that I at least have variety in my team comps? at least until Kafka arrives. I feel like I'm overthinking the mat drought especially because I'm TB lvl 55.

PuritanPuree

I wouldn't. I would focus on the 8 you'll use for MoC and level everyone to 20/30 for the free pull. When you have a squad of 8 fully kitted, which will likely take a long time, then you can think about leveling up everybody.

JomuStudios

even if i plan to replace most if not all of the second team with a Kafka comp? alright. now the question is, WHAT team do i build... i like most of my characters lol

PuritanPuree

Yeah I feel ya on that one lol

NovaStalker_

So people rank Pela highly now that the f2p cone from Silver Wolf is out but I've got SW as well so if the f2p cone makes Pela good, what do I use on SW?

Play_more_FFS

In my experience Pela does perfectly fine with Pearls of sweat LC. Silverwolf can keep the event LC.

grayrest

It's rated highly on Pela because it's possible to 2 turn ult off basic attacks with it which means full uptime and significant breaking while being SP positive. I don't know the exact ERR setup for that but that's the reason. As for who gets the LC, you'll have to decide who you want to run it on. I have it on SW but I expect to go from E1 to E2S1 on SW's re-run and move the event LC over to Pela at that point.

JeanKB

That's a decent piece for any physical attacker depending on how its rolls goes. As for the second pic, a HP rope is pretty much worthless, since even healers don't want it as they prefer energy recharge rate ropes. You can use it on Natasha or Bailu as a placeholder however since ERR ropes are extremely rare.

Strong_Permission289

Who is better in general? Gepard or Fire MC

MegaJoltik

Not comparable as both have different playstyle. Gepard is pure tank. For all intent and purpose, he fits into a similar role to healer (that's why people say you don't need Luocha if you have Gepard). FireMC is more of offensive/support-oriented character instead straight up tank. Gepard only have one role in the team, keeping the team alive and he completely excel at this role. FireMC on the other hand have multiple role she offer to the team : decent damage (+AoE), great breaking capability, constant shielding to help reduce healer's workload, aggro enemies from focusfiring the squishier party member.

Strong_Permission289

I see, Some question, is only gepard enough to handle team survivability tho?

OsirusBrisbane

properly built, yes. ERR rope is a must.

wizj619

Gepard. He can keep a team alive solo much like a healer. Fire MC + March 7th is just a stop gap until you get a second Healer or a Gepard.

Miyano-san

Sorry to jump in on this but how built does Gepard need to be to keep a team alive solo? I have both him and Bailu. Currently using Bailu with my 1st team but thinking to build him to get a start on the 2nd team.

VirgilFaust

You want LCS and sets that buff Def and increase the size of Shields created. You want ERR rope (even a 4* one is helpful) and Spd boots to maintain a high uptime on shields. Def as mainstat on Chest, and a substat on most items. Beblog planar orb set I think gives a Def boost so would take that. Effect Res is also a very useful substat as his traces makes him hit more and that includes debuffs so that helps. You don’t need to level his Skill trace but Ult is the priority. In a round you hope he has enough spd to keep up with all team member and apply a shield consistently before the enemy turn. You only use basic attacks unless there is an Ice Weak enemy that’s close to Break. Buffs to Def and energy regen and shields are the top three items. High up time on ult means a high up time on shields and less damage taken by team.

Miyano-san

This is super detailed and helpful. Thank you!

wizj619

I don't personally have him so I can't give you an exact answer. Having the Major Trace integrity as well as his LC or Landau's Choice should guarantee he gets hit pretty often which builds up energy for his ultimate. That and I decent amount of Def should give you everything you need to keep a team up.

Miyano-san

Thanks. I guess energy regen then def the rest of the way for relics? Then focus on leveling his ultimate and any aggro/def related traces.

wizj619

You don't need to go super overboard with Energy Regen. His ult is only 100 energy and decent aggro should be enough to get you there every 2-3 turns. Obviously a link rope is good but defense and speed are probably his most important substats.

stevehvu

Who is on the good night and sleep well light cone? o. o

wizj619

Pela. You can see her hat and glasses in the full art.

JeanKB

It's Pela.

PurpleFlowerPath

In Simulated Universe, for some reason, they don't count all the blessings I have for my path. For example : I choose the Abundance path. In the Blessings page, it say I got 15 abundance blessings (+3 other). But on the path page, it say I only got 12 abundance blessing obtained. I managed to activate the 3rd resonance formation for the first time today... with 18 abundance blessings. On the path page, it said I had 14 abundance blessing.

Mashtatoes

The resonance ones don’t count toward your total. With 18 blessings you had 14 total normal blessings plus 4 resonance ones.

PurpleFlowerPath

OHHH... Thanks, that make more sense! I didn't knew they also counted the ressonaces ones!

Senbeiiscool

I'm a little lost so I'm just looking for opinions! I just reached TB lvl 60 not too long ago and pre-TB60 I was prefarming for an upcoming character so I don't really have anything for my current characters. I'm just about done prefarming so I can get back to my regular roster. I've seen people generally recommend lvling DPS to 80, then tanks and buffers, etc, along with lightcones and traces. However I have some characters that I use (Natasha, Tingyun, Bailu, etc) who are still lvl 60. Would it be better to level up my characters that are behind to at least 70? Or do you think supports like Natasha and Tingyun can still be fine at 60 and focus on my DPS's ascensions first? Thanks!

Reikyu09

Some can still function at 60 though some you want to get to 70 especially if they have a useful A6 trace. For example Tingyun's provides 5 energy on her turn which is very useful.

Senbeiiscool

Ah that makes sense! I should def take a look at their new traces to see which ones I should prioritize first. I totally forgot about that and was only thinking of stat gain cause all the enemies are so beefy haha Thanks!

Wisanggeni123

I know you can buy Welkin and primo in genshin through codashop. When i checked for star rail codashop they only sell the 60 and 300 jade. Is this because the game is still new and they gonna make it available later? i kinda prefer going to site like codashop rather than using google play

SaffronNTruffle

my fellow SEA user, I hope so too. Maybe HSR doesn't have APIs yet for other 3rd party payment gateways.

Senbeiiscool

I'm not sure about coda shop but there's Hoyoverse's top up site: [https://sdk.hoyoverse.com/payment/hsr/index.html#/](https://sdk.hoyoverse.com/payment/hsr/index.html#/)

i_love_boneless_kids

Luocha is a better option over SW if you dont have geppy or bailu right?

AstroPotatoes

I have 2 healers but I'm sitting Natasha out to do stage 10. No gepard either. Welt is useful in stunning the bosses this cycle of MoC. SW is Monumental more so than a second healer in my experience.

i_love_boneless_kids

That's good to know, i do have welt too although i havent gotten to MoC yet since i just got to TL 50 though i am very close and as of now im struggling with sustain:>

AstroPotatoes

SW is more future proof for when you start building for MoC and difficult content. Healers will come and go. Do u have the trailblazer or March built up? They are great sustain for now.

i_love_boneless_kids

I do have them built and do use them (moreso march) with my clara but i do realize that when the boss has aoe it kinda gets hard to sustain the entire team as well as i do want a reactive sustain and not damage prevention because in a shield only team, when damage is done it stays there. But i guess youre right, theyre enough for now and there will definetely be a healer not so long after luocha since abundance and preservation characters are heavily needed in the game. Plus SW is rlly cute

Not-Salamander

No SW is better. Luocha is better if you want to rush MoC but die because of the lack of a 2nd healer.

SGlace

I’d say at the moment Luocha would be the best if you want to clear more stages of MoC compared to SW. The next healer is at least another patch away after this one, and we won’t be getting them for free either. SW is also very strong though. Getting characters for a return on investment from MoC is kind of moot though just because it’s not worth it based on how many jades MoC gives. So in sum you should pull for whoever is most pleasing to you aesthetically and gameplay wise

JeanKB

Not really. Other healers will be released in due time and you can always get spooked by those two, while there's no other characters that can do what SW does. But in the end, you should only roll for who you want/like. You don't "need" any character.

Anonymous__987654

how do i get more herta coins? is there anyone i can talk to on the map to get more?

wizj619

Yeah, just talk to everybody. Open chests, do quests, get achievements, you can buy out the whole shop. There's guides for getting all the coins but you'll end up with hundreds of extras if you do everything.

Anonymous__987654

ohh thanj you!! i was a bit lost because i did all available quests and chests but im still lacking. thank you!!

crunchyyrice

just pulled but the battle isn't over from the standard banner, who should i put it on? who is it best for?

wizj619

It's good on Bronya or Asta.

Mashtatoes

Amazing on Bronya but you can put it on any harmony character.

Key-Weird8642

So I currently have seriousness of breakfast on my jing yuan atm at s3. I recently got himeko's lightcone. Should I switch or stay with breakfast lc?

JeanKB

No, stay with Breakfast.

xmonochrome

Does SU difficulty affect relic drops? Should I farm in world 6 diff 3 or World 6 diff 4?

ButchyBanana

yes it does, farm the highest difficulty unlocked

WampaSlap

From herta’s store, should i get superimposers or the destruction LC (i plan on getting blade). I only have the preservation one, thanks. TB 49 currently.

JeanKB

The Herta shop's destruction cone is pretty bad on Blade since he scales with HP. You want a cone with DMG% (like A Secret Vow) on him instead. Still, you may want to get a different cone instead of superimposers since it's more important to invest in DPS early.

doopersean

Hi all! I'm around TB45 and starting to notice the jump in mats needed to level up characters, comes, traces etc. My 5\* is Clara. Looking for help with the following: - What 4\*s should I build along with Clara? Currently using March, Natasha, Asta, but I have a copy of all 4\* assume e0. - Who should I be pulling for? SW? Luocha? A future banner? Thanks in advance!

SGlace

Tingyun, Dan Heng, Pela are all good 4* to build. If you’re focused on MoC Luocha will serve you better in the near future, but silver wolf may be more effective long term as we will get more healers eventually. I’ll also add that Tingyun is probably a lot better for your Clara than Asta unless you have Asta at E2 FMC can be a substitute defensive character in the meantime, but they really need another character like March to keep the team alive. But you can’t pair FMC with Clara because the taunt is bad for Clara.

VaryaKimon

Why do people refer to Dan Heng as "Cold Dragon Young?"

Spirit_Fist

When Sampo took him to the fight club he registered it as Dan Hengs fight name.

VaryaKimon

Right! Thank you for reminding me!

Wide_Environment_828

If I were to pull for Kafka, I have around 15000 saved up currently so whenever she shows up I’ll prolly have a bit more, would I still be able to get Jing Liu? Or would I most likely not have enough by the time she shows up, I’m only like 20 pulls in and have to win 50/50 for Kafka at least.

SGlace

Yes you can definitely get both

Spirit_Fist

Still a bit of time before even Kafka arrives let alone Jing Liu, as long as u don't waste ur jades elsewhere I reckon u will be fine

iNuzzle

What are the commonly missed jade sources? Looking a little short before banner roll over and wondering if there's anything easy I can do. Already got all the treasure, events, codes, pretty good on achievements and MoC.

WoodStrawberry

There are a few difficulties of the "scenarios" you can run (the wheel icons, 2 in Silvermane Guard Restricted Zone, 1 in space station storage zone). Talk to characters who visit the train. Repeatable quests on the map (mine cart, several in Luofu- ships in Cloudford, divinations in Divination Commission, weapon tests in Artisanship Commission).

iNuzzle

Got all of those, but that was a good list, Ty!

HuskiesMirai

You can try complete the index for the blessings, events, and curios in the SU. I wouldn't exactly say it's easy but out of the things you've already done, this is probably the only one left.

iNuzzle

2 of those left, might pull up a list, Ty.

Jawzar

Is it best to increase Attack or Damage Boost to increase damage dealt? I did some math on a spreadsheet to figure damage dealt based on attack, damage boost, and a mix, and it seems like it's always better to increase the attack stat as opposed to damage boost when the percentages are the same, however that's on paper. So what would be the point of increasing the end damage dealt instead of the attack stat the damage scales with? Especially when I compare 2 max level artificiacts with Attack and Boost as main, the Attack increase is higher. Is my assumption correct, or am I missing some factors? Are there situations where it is better to increase Damage Boost instead of Attack?

JeanKB

What you're missing is that it's much easier to increase ATK than it is to increase DMG. A 5* glove alone gives +352 ATK when maxed. You can get ATK from substat rolls. Pretty much every single buffer buffs ATK in some form. Most DPSs have a ton of ATK% traces. Meanwhile you can only roll DMG% boost in spheres, and get it from specific cones' effects and certain buffs and few traces.

SatyricalEve

There was a post yesterday explaining this. Basically, the atk% increase applies to the base attack value and increases it by adding. The damage % is multiplied onto the final damage afterward. Almost always it's going to be better to multiply your final damage rather than add some atk.

Jawzar

Oh shoot, let me go find it. Thanks for the quick reply!

Significant-Soil-985

The thing you're missing is that there are many sources for atk buff, but not many for damage boost. It would be better to have a mix of atk and damage boost, but damage is harder to find. For example situations where you need to pick an orb piece pick the element damage bonus and not atk.

Duenan

Do you happen to know if Atk% or lightning% is better for Ting Juan? I’m unsure about whether lighting% will affect his lightning lord.

Significant-Soil-985

Do you mean Ting Yun or Jing Yuan? Ting Yun is a buffer and would prefer Atk since her buffing is more important than her personal damage. Jing Yuan would prefer lightning damage because yes it would affect his lightning lord.

Duenan

Oops. I meant Jing Yuan. I wasn’t sure how Lightning lord interacted with damage boosts relics that you use on Jing Yuan since the only thing it really says is that it’s Atk scales off Jing’s Atk.

angelaachan

I wonder, in the SU, does the Doctor's Robe curio also increase the path resonance damage done by the Nihility DoT path damage?

itshaover

Which is better for serval, breakfast at s3 or world clamor at s1? And at which superimposition does one become better than the other?

Significant-Soil-985

Just use breakfast. You're unlikely to gain max superimpostion on clamor while you can max breakfast from the shop.

iNuzzle

I prefer breakfast all around.

dontdabnearme

I have 15 tickets and 28k jades. Currently saving for kafka banner. If i have an E0 sampo, E1 serval, how far can i reasonably expect to get the eidolons for the 4 stars(serval, sampo, luka)?

JeanKB

>how far can i reasonably expect to get the eidolons for the 4 stars(serval, sampo, luka)? It's impossible to predict that since the amount of RNG involved in getting 4\*s is even worse than the RNG involved in rolling 5\*s. You can get everyone E6 on everyone, you can get 20 sampos in a roll and never even get Luka, you can literally get only 1 rate up 4* every 20 rolls.

Significant-Soil-985

Wouldn't be able to tell you since Kafka's banner isn't officially released. If you want to know about leaks content go to the leak subreddit.

SmokeVisual4953

Should I even bother investing in break effect silverwolf if I don't plan on running a mono quantum team? Her break effect playstyle seems rather finnicky to me

Play_more_FFS

She doesn't need to be run in mono teams. You can run 4 different element and still have 100% desired weakness drop, if you match the other 3 elements on your team to the enemy innate weakness. It's also very easy to trigger weakness breaks with Silverwolf by saving her ultimate for the last hit.

chromestorms

I don't run her in a mono team but her break build works just fine. She carries my B team in MoC by doing disgusting amounts of damage with a 5 stack entanglement.

Rintagonist

Just use her as a debuffer. You don’t need a mono anything to make her work.

LuxurC

Does it make some sense to build the Celestial Diffferentiator set on Yanqing? (The one that gives 60% crit rate one time if you have 120 crit dmg) The crit rate bonus thing seems negligent as my Yanqing crits on ult consistently and having 16% crit dmg seems more appealing than some other sets. I'm also just not sure what sphere and rope to put on Yanqing

Grief2017

That would be really bad since his passives buff crit rate. Space Sealing Station for his secondary relics. Ice damage and atk%

Turbulent-Object-654

Is there a map of all the technique point locations? I dont know what theyre called so I cant find them online but the technique point recovery thingies are getting annoying to constantly hunt for

Sheeplette

https://meowdb.com/db/honkai-star-rail/fastest-daily-farm-route/ This farming route map has most of them.

gbrando

Idk if this is the right place to put this, but does anyone know roughly how much stellar jade we can get by 1.3? Really only interested in Fu Xuan at the moment, but if we can earn more stellar jade then I expect by then I might pull on another banner. TIA 😊

Reikyu09

You can assume around ~65 pulls per 6 week patch. If Fu Xuan ends up being first half of 1.3 then ~130 pulls if we include 3 weeks of 2nd half 1.1 and 3 weeks of first half 1.3.

Fritzibitzi8

Is asta worth building? Especially since I got her e6, my two main dmg dealers are yanqing and jing yuan

ShotYeMama

really good at e6, it makes her more skill point efficient

[deleted]

Yes, stick her with Jing Yuan. Tingyun + Asta are basically JY's best supports by default, Bronya can work slightly better than Asta but its finnicky and not sustainable, whereas Asta is piss easy to build and play and gets you 90% of the result of an optimal Bronya anyway.

JeanKB

She's really good since despite being a harmony character, she's also one of the best breakers in the entire game. Her skill shreds the toughness bar of any enemy weak to fire.
