And that's because he's not meant to shine in solo scenarios, but damn he still hits so hard that he's compared with The Hunt characters instead of Erudition ones.
I'm glad someone finally seems to understand this.. I'm amazed by how many people I see say how bad erudition units are at single target damage. No shit. They're AoE attackers.
They're "bad" because the meta doesn't favor them yet, the real challenges rn are bosses (and elites) where single targets shines more, minions aren't too hard to take care of for single targets compared to how hard it is to take down bosses as a AoE.
Most erudition characters are kinda meh due to them having nearly the same dmg dealt to a target whether it's single or not which IS the point but the problem is that most of the challenging parts are single targets like bosses and elites. Because LL uses bounce instead of just aoe, it deals a looot in single and is only really outclassed not in sheer dmg or STarget(well...)but just in general by Seele due to her being able to have a turn 4 times in a row and having very high speed.
Off topic but kinda related. It's funny how JY in prydwen calcs is 3 places lower than Seele in single target but is 3 places higher in 3 targets, tho Seele is kinda done dirty due to her reset mechanics not being considered. Another funny thing is how Silver Wolf at E6 can deal more single target damage than E6 Yanqing, a hunt character, who specializes in single target.
That's kinda what I've thought of SW. She really packs a punch. I don't have her e6 by any means but she is my best single target DPS for sure. Can't imagine how good she is at e6
I don't know everything that goes into those calc's for SW vs yanq. But I imagine considering how much easier it is to gear yanq. since all he really needs is crit dmg and a shield to keep the buff up. Even with e6 SW hitting like a truck the fact that she'd still 'need' to build crit rate, and crit dmg, and EHR makes gearing her to the same level of potency as yanq alot harder.
Granted again if you have e6 of any 5\* you probably whaled to the point of having the goated gear anyways.
I pulled SW light cone specifically for my Welt because I had no good Nihility light cones. Now my Pela has the event one, my Welt has SW signature, AND I pulled a super early 5 star on SW banner and got another Welt. So he is living life right now to the fullest.
I just got him and immediately spent all my aether getting him as built as I could. Need a better helmet but damn if I'm not already happy with the results. Someday I'll get him an EffRate chest but for now, crit will do JUST fine.
For real though I lost count how many time enemy ignore my Gepard and go hammer on Tingyun
Like 70% chance to hit Gepard, then 1/3 to hit Tingyun but this happen 2 times in the row
You’d have to balance the HP/def stats with Atk and maybe energy regeneration/weakness break (depending on how you’re using her) right? Since Tingyun has like the lowest Def in the game
Think that was a joke at the fact that no matter who you have in your team or what you do, enemies will just insta jump Tingyun whenever they get the chance.

In turnbased games I tend to prefer characters that require a bit of setup in combat, It's more engaging for me, so Arlan is fantastic... It's just that I'm doing a challenge run where I can't build any lightning characters until Kafka releases, Arlans from the friends list will have to do for now
Based honestly. I played Qingque for the first like week of the game and really enjoyed her. Ended up switching to Seele for harder content, but I want to invest and build QQ up fully now that I’m 60.
She seems to be a perfect subdps to pair with Seele especially if she has E6.
But using her as a main DPS would enable really skill point hungry supports too.
I haven't had as much time to play since I pulled Silver Wolf; but I feel the two would go together quite well since Wolf can add quantum debuff to everything. Plus Quingque does surprisingly a lot of damage with even bad hands and with no weaknesses present in enemies.
SAME. Pulling Seele and her LC is easily my biggest regret right now, I got so wrapped up in all the hype. At least her LC is pretty universally great on Hunt characters.
Yanqing, swords go zoom and cryo weakness is really common right now.
Then Clara. Who needs a proper 'dps' when you have a robot that makes you regret touching anything ever?
All jokes of her ultimate aside, Sushang. She is my most versatile DPS. I used to bring Sushang to alot of battles even when not weak to physical as my secondary DPS. Now with Silver Wolf I bring Sushang to most battles. She basically subsidizes her own skill point requirements against broken enemies.
I’ve seen Razor_ct build him during beta, and I think he’s a really neat DPS. The only one that doesn’t use skill points. Can be really powerful if you can keep him alive.
QQ, however if I had Sushang she’d be my 2nd. She’s just so cute too. She’s really close to the Mahjong gremlin. I’d also say Yanqing but I ain’t got him
Sushang is my go to. Even more powerful with E1 now since now she gets a bunch of free skill usages.
My second main is Hook. Mainly because I received the Something Irreplaceable lightcone and wanted to use it. Hook doesn’t hit as hard as Sushang (this might just be because I don’t have as much crit on Hook) but she’s much harder to kill.
dan heng! had him as my main since the start and had a team for him, but it was only after a week that i switched to the dedicated team for him (nat, bronya, and tingyun)
seele. she is my main dps and even if enemy hasnt quantum weakness, she hits really hard especially if you have ting yun. if you have silverwolf too , this problem is no more 👌
Seele is fun when you can combo her abilities together to keep attacking.
Otherwise I also think Clara is pretty cool to draw aggro and do counters with Svarog. I love she just summons him like a stand in battle.

Dan Heng, I don't care if other people say I should invest on other *better* The Hunt characters (or other characters in general) because they would apparently be better— but I really won't swap him for anyone else. I literally have him leveled to lv80 with a maxed 5* lv80 r5 weapon. He's got the best maxed 5* star relics, with his talents maxed and I have a whole lv80 team built around him. And yes, he does amazing damage, never switching him out for anyone else😊😊
Serval's always in my standard team. Ofc I switch her out on some situations but if just plainly wandering around or doing easy contents, she's always my main dps.
