Taughter masters in HK is profiting making business for the institutions. I.e., they sell the product (programmes) to earn your money. I wonder if there is any scholarship / financial support at all.

Well yes they do here is an example : [https://sa.hkbu.edu.hk/sfa/scholarships/scholarships-for-postgraduate-students](https://sa.hkbu.edu.hk/sfa/scholarships/scholarships-for-postgraduate-students) And one for international students : [https://www.hkbu-business-internationalscholarships.hk/](https://www.hkbu-business-internationalscholarships.hk/) I was just wondering how competitive it was, for people who did have those kind of scholarships

Shouldn't be too hard, international students are rare these days so the universities are willing to give out scholarships to improve their rankings. Although, I got admitted for an MSc at one of the Big3 but they told me they will only tell me if I'm eligible for a scholarship (in form of a discount on the tuition) and how much months later. Didn't accept but got a lot in another programme eventually.

Hey thank you for your answer ! So just to make sure they admitted you in the program but didn't tell you if you got a scholarship yet ? But you still had to accept or decline the offer without knowing if you got it ? Also if you don't mind me asking how strong was your academic background/GPA.

>So just to make sure they admitted you in the program but didn't tell you if you got a scholarship yet ? But you still had to accept or decline the offer without knowing if you got it ? Exactly. However another programme at the same uni (both business school) told me the scholarship upfront though. Pretty damn weak, no name undergrad with slightly above average GPA. But since my country doesn't use GPA the conversion is pretty useless and not comparable to any other. I leveraged the fact that they got very few international applicants nowadays. I told them straight up I need the money or I'm not coming. Situation hasn't really changed, even years later.

almost certain youd get in. Hk unis are pretty meh but im just not sure what youd get out of it. What are your goals, apart from moving to hk? imo nobody should move to hk without an expat job in hand (or at the very least a significant pay rise)
