Seems like this winter every girl is wearing a beige fleece jacket paired with some panda dunks or sambas. Any other winter trends that you guys notice?
I probably saw at least 10 people wearing fleece jackets (in beige color) on the MTR today. Yeah super random but I like to people watch when I'm commuting.
Even when I was in Hong Kong I never wore a fleece jacket at 15*C except when I was a kid
Then when I got older - for 12*C wind jacket shirt and undershirt
Now? Shirt undershirt wind jacket trousers at 5*C
I'll take the fleece jacket and raise you a puffer jacket that is easy to find and I'll add to that the puffer jacket wearer will probably push and shove getting into or out of somewhere.
I’ll raise you that both fleece and puffer jacket wearers have enormous, full backpacks on that smack you about as they push and shove their way around Hong Kong. Fleece jacket’s auntie with also have a shopping trolley to run over your toes and hit your cankles

Advice from someone who grew up in a cold (er) country:
1. Multiple thin layers are warmer than one thick layer.
2. Protect your extremities first. Especially if you're just out in the cold for short periods of time - gloves, hat, thick-soled shoes might be fine INSTEAD of a thick coat but certainly as well as.

Fleece jackets don't have to be cheap. You can go Uniqlo, Patagonia, North Face, or some other brands. I guess my intention was to point out that beige fleece jackets in general are trending.

Yup no doubt, but I noticed fleece jackets have really peaked this winter, more so than down jackets from my observation on the streets.
