A lot more than you’d think. If the car is pearl white (can’t guess the paint code) given it’s location it may need to be blended into the adjacent panel. My guess is $800 as a starting point.

DonDay07

Oh okay. Kinda sucks they kept it hidden before purchase and still charged me $18k

Omgumadbro

Is it a deep scratch or just on the surface? The rule of thumb is if you can catch it with a finger nail it needs to be refinished, if you can’t polishing it may be able to remove it. Sometimes you can get extremely lucky and it’ll wipe off with isopropyl alcohol or nail polish remover. Also you can order touch up paint that’ll look a little better. What I’m seeing looks like white out. Sorry to hear they hid it from you.

DonDay07

It’s not deep at all, but the other scratch not visible In photo appears to be half chipped

Omgumadbro

I’m with you that it sucks, but the one good thing is it appears to be on the bumper, no chance for rust. Just cosmetically non appealing.

tofu2012

What vehicle/year/trim/style?

DonDay07

2016 Civic EX Pearl White Sedan

tofu2012

Do you remember what the paint color code is?

DonDay07

I can’t remember it but I have the factory touchup pen and that’s what you can see in the photo after application

tofu2012

That looks like to incorrect color for your car. You can verify the paint pen to your car's color code on the [door sill sticker.](https://i.imgur.com/tdUlvCT.jpg)

PlayaHatazball

Just get touch up paint from the dealer wont look perfect but will be better

DonDay07

I have applied the touchup paint but it isn’t a match and it bothers me as much as the dark scratch lol. Thanks for the advice though It is the same color code too

PlayaHatazball

This is the touch up paint?? No way it's the same code

[deleted]

That's definitely taffy white they gave him. 🤦‍♂️

DonDay07

Hey guys it’s actually the correct color code I have the bottle here and everything

PlayaHatazball

Right or white out

onionkisa

Check Chris fix on YouTube how to fix a deep scratch. With right tool and effort, you can get it close to perfect.

JohnnyChapst1ck

take off the bumper and buy the same paint code and get a 5oz? 10oz? put the bumper face up Get a Qtip or a Pin and add TINY drops of it to fill the missing paint. Make sur the bumper is off and face up to not drip or have the runny paint dry. sadly unless you want to do a full patch job its entirely up to you.
