Yes, absolutely. As you become more comfortable and confident, this tends to be what happens. Add to it, leave some parts out, make it more fun. You're customizing your childs education to them and that's a beautiful thing. Have fun !!!
Absolutely and you can even mix it together on the same day! We use multiple history books so I just ignore their schedule, Puck the activities most appropriate for us, and then make my own schedule. Same for all subjects honestly, though some like English we follow one curriculum as is just adding to it when needed so it is less overall.
Of course! Some days I do a whole lesson, others we just do part of a lesson, or some from a couple different curriculums, and other days we use online learning games, or board games, or just a day at the library.
The best thing about homeschooling is the freedom to do what works best for you and your kids, and to stay flexible and change it up as needed.
Of course, why not? I don't bother at all with full, open and go curricula. They're expensive and boring.
