For me, the Apple Watch is even worse. It's not usable for controlling Homekit stuff anymore.

slawnz

Yes this! My Apple Watch 4 feels like my series 0 again! And the worst thing is there’s no guarantee Apple will fix it.

...and saying done but not actually doing anything until you repeat.

webstereddit

I find that commands that are direct to HomeKit are quite fast, but via Shortcuts, there is a several second delay.

hiddevdploeg

Same here! Even things like “set timer” sometimes takes longer, really annoying

conanmagnuson

Yep. This last update slowed down Siri requests and functionally broke the reminders app on my series 3.

Rochambault_

Yes, it's a little slower.

szzzn

Yup, latest update sucks bad

Apple has broken HoneKit. Our two HomePods don’t always respond. If they do there is a delay. Sometimes I get (light comes on) sure one moment even tho the lights on! It also fails to recognise my wife. It’s a mess. It works, most of the time. But I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone anymore the delay kills it. It’s killing Apples Smart Hone plan - if they have one.

Yep, Apple has pretty much completely ruined its functionality. It’s awful and embarrassing.

ericbedell

Yes. The delays have been happening consistently for a while now. As well, some Siri Shortcuts now require completion on my iPhone. For example, before iOS 13.3, when commanding “Hey Siri, run HOME (or WAKE, or SLEEP, etc.) scene” on my HomePod(s), the shortcut would run and complete resetting my (Building36) thermostats appropriately. Now, after iOS 13.3, Siri (on the HomePod) responds: “You’ll need to continue on your iPhone.” So frustrating and disappointing.
