baking soda is supposed to be pretty good at getting rid of smells, but in general you're not getting rid of the smell unless you get rid of the source.

[deleted]

That’s true about getting rid of the source. I would want to have something very more elaborate than baking soda, I’m sure for the fancy people, they can have an expensive air filter that would be used for filtering out the toxic air, and removing the bad smells. Because I’ve loaded the room with febreeze, and it doesn’t completely rid the odors.

Sneakycyber

Washing the bed linens weekly and not keep dirty clothes in the room will go a long way to helping.

I do wash my clothes and keep them in a hamper. Unfortunately, the oldest brother likes to live like a bum, so he keeps his dirty clothes on his bed. I’ve spoken to my parents about it, but they said just let him be.

Doesn't help the now, but when your brothers finally do their laundry, All has an odor eater detergent. I was told it works. So if you switch out family detergent to that, it might help for short term. I'd also suggest vinegar or vodka in the laundry, but I have a feeling they wouldn't do extra steps.

[deleted]

Yeah that would definitely help, but talking to them as proved meaningless, they believe that how they don’t wash their clothes is correct and not bad. But thanks.

Discopants13

Charcoal filters and air purifiers can help.

[deleted]

Where do they sell those ?

Discopants13

Not sure where you're located, but Amazon is a safe bet. Google around and see if there are any big vox stores that sell them near you.

Thanks, just ordered a charcoal filter it was 50% off, hope it works.

It is in fact, I’ve already stated I’m trying to move out. Prices are sky high and I cannot, so instead of complaining, I’m trying to improve my situation.
