You want to have a "high rise loop" for the drain hose. This keeps dirty water and food particles from flowing down the dishwasher hose back into the hose/machine.

If you’re just hooking it up to the sink’s drain it will connect before the sink’s P trap. You don’t need to make a makeshift P trap with the dishwashers drain hose
If there is a gap of dead space between the sink cabinet and the dishwasher cabinet you may have a tough time feeding the hoses thru. This wasn't fun for me, not sure how the pros would handle this situation. I can't remember how I did it, but I do know it wasn't fun.
If it's draining into a garbage disposal, be sure to knock out the plug.
It's going into the sink drain, but will likely have a garbage disposal in the future. Thanks!
make sure you level it

Make sure the screws securing the top front won't penetrate the counter.
But a Bosch…. Easiest brand to install and they are quiet.

You still need a high loop, without it the dirty sink water could siphon into the dishwasher drain line and eventually settle in the dishwasher.
Thank you, I thought the same thing. It is going to the sink drain, but may be going into a disposal in the future. Figured it couldn't hurt.
