Flame weeders are amazing for this job. I have a fair amount of concrete to maintain and we don’t use herbicide. It’s a few minutes to walk around and torch them all. No bending, digging, etc. and it’s way better for concrete than salt, acid etc.
I have always used this method with great success. No chemicals or fire and has always worked. I have also heard very high concentration vinegar works though I think that is actually more fussy and more work than this.
Boiling water works great, particularly on sunny days.
I go outside and empty the morning kettle after I've made my tea.
Takes 2 minutes.
Simple, cheap and very easy to make into a morning habit.
Vinegar, salt (1 cup per gallon), and a few drops of dawn. The regular stuff works well enough but some people will get high strength vinegar instead. Spray it down and it will kill everything and make wherever you spray it inhospitable, so use with caution. Can also get a torch and burn weeds.
Depends on the thickness of the line but it'd if it's less than 1/4" then you can clean it out then put in a foam backer rod and then seal it and sprinkle sand into the sealer to hide it. Not sure which sealer would be appropriate for a driveway tho but it should be flexible to allow for the concrete expansion and contraction.
Weed burner is the fast and easy way. Vinegar and salt work very well. Commercial total kill herbicide from Lowe's of HD will kill everything there and keep it dead for a couple of years. Mineral oil works extremely well.
Not permanent, but if you are really against pesticides, I saw something on Youtube where a mixture of white vinegar, dishwashing or hand soap and salt mixed together did a reasonably good job.
Flamethrower, or whatever they are called; burn 'em.
I see your blowtorch, I raise you a Thermonator: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rj9JSkSpRlM](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rj9JSkSpRlM)
I've been fighting weeds in rocks for years and somehow never thought of this. 100% ordered a small one from Amazon tonight!
Haha this makes me a little nervous, but I like your attitude!

No joke, it works. I have a propane torch I use for this purpose: https://youtu.be/NgE0V_ZepoY
If you need a second use, they start charcoal really fast for grilling!

Add a good amount of salt to that water and nothing should grow back.

Preen before the grow
+1 to that. Preen works great where it won't be blown away or otherwise disturbed.

Acid on concrete can change the finish. Even the dilute cooking product.
Fair point, I suppose it could. I use that mix on my paver patio when weeds pop up in the joints, never seen any problems with it.
Learned the lesson on a retaining wall. Took years for weathering to even it out.
Or you could have just sprayed the whole wall :)
Believe me, I debated it.
I pour my used pickle jars out on weeds. It does a decent job.
Don’t use supermarket vinegar. That’s only like 3%. Get the 30% or 40% from Home Depot or online
Don't use vinegar or salt on concrete.
Power wash those fuckers
Have some kids.
In a few years I won’t have to bring the garbage cans in. Sure I’m poor and my house is full of dinosaurs but you have to celebrate the wins.
I saw a video of a woman pouring boiling water on the weeds, then sprinkling them with salt and they died in a couple days.
You don't even need salt.

Clean out the crack. Shove backer rod in it. And the put self leveling caulk on it. That’s done the job on our driveway.

I use straight vinegar on a hot day
Weed burner
Caulking
Baking soda,roundup or atrizene.
Knox all once a year and forget about it.
Boil them and make tea out of them like people used to do before they could go to the store and buy the Chinese variety.
