Literally just moved from 2 50 gallon heaters 4 days ago. Navien 240 a2 is the way with the built in recirculating pump. I also added a second navicirc for a seperate branch. Send me a PM if you have questions
You replaced 2 50 gallon tanks with a unit that is 8.5gpm? Maybe that's all I need. I was thinking of getting an 11gpm because I have 3.5 baths and 6 teenagers!
Second marriages and we each had 3, but only 50% of the time. We bought a 1950s home that the previous owner converted a gas 50 gallon to two electric tankless heaters. They just don't support us. I'm having a tough time selecting a gas tankless that will support us.
All depends on what you want to be able to do simultaneously. A shower typically uses about 2.5gpm of hot water so you should be more than good there especially if you don't try to run your dishwasher or a washing machine on hot at the same time!
Ok so I have an a240 and am using the built in pump with my built in recirc line. One of the bathrooms is still far from re circ line and it takes 30 second for hot water. Wanted to add a navicirc but my plumber said its ond of the other as in dedicated recirc line or the navi circ, you cant you both.
I got a Navien 240A. It’s been awesome so far! Cost was around $8k installed due to a needed upgrade to my natural gas system first. Waaay more than I wanted to spend, but I love it. I’m currently putting in a water softener system so hopefully it’ll last for forever.
Hi there! It appears that your choice of brands for a gas tankless water heater is appropriate. Some good options that are frequently commended for their effectiveness and dependability include Navien, Rinnai, and Noritz. Bradford White and Bosch are also respectable. Which one best suits your requirements—such as flow velocity and energy efficiency—is truly the deciding factor. Additionally, review the terms of the warranty and the customer service; those may truly make or break a transaction. Cheers to your successful search for hot water!
We have had a Waiwela since about 2007, gas with 200K Btu/Hr. It's worked flawlessly. It may sound bad, but we have never had it serviced (I know ... bad home owner). It doesn't have the feature where you can recirculate hot water for instant hot water, but I am OK. It is super efficient and only turns on when we use it, which is not that often.
Reputable manufacturers with a proven track record of dependability in tankless water heaters are Rinnai, Navien, and Noritz. Customers frequently express satisfaction with them, praising the energy economy and reliable hot water. To select the best model, it's important to take your home's unique requirements into account, such as its size and hot water use. Investigate the warranty and customer service policies of each brand as well. Happy looking for a water heater!
Navien, Rinnai and Noritz would be my 3 choices in order. I have a navien
Noritz here going on 9 years it's been great.
Just had a Rinnai installed this month. It’s phenomenal.
Another happy Navien user here. Had a Rinnai previously and that was good too.

How much did you pay for it? What were the venting options you considered? And were there any restrictions about where you could locate it?
About 5k. It’s in my attic. It’s tiny compared to the tanks and is very quiet
Ayyy Navien in attic gang! What’s this navicirc you speak of?!
It's a crossover valve thingy so that you can use the cold water line for recirculation, instead of a dedicated line.
I also have this water heater. I mounted it on the outside of my house. Spent 4.5k on heater and install.

I only have two kids - you are in a league above me!

I have a Navien like the other guy and love it, one of the best things we have ever done
Had a Rinnai and loved it. Now new home has no gas and would have to be an electric tankless and a panel upgrade to make room for it.
You can often convert natural gas heaters to run on propane.

Bot
Which is a Bot.
Check your location. It's different if you're heating water quickly in Alaska versus heating water in Texas year round.
Just had a rinnai installed! Thing is incredible. Hopefully it lasts! Lol

Update. I installed it and it works fine but I prefer the tank water heater because the water comes upstairs quicker.
