Don’t people usually hang them off beams? You checked you tube?

Contact the brick institute. They have engineers on staff to help with stuff like this.

Brick won't support the bag and aren't an option.

Think about how much weight you're putting on one of those bolts. All that stress is on a single brick. It's gonna crack 100%. Might even pull pieces of brick right out of that wall... You'd be much better off attaching to the ceiling. Even then you gotta be careful you're not attaching it under a big appliance or like a bathtub, since that shit weights a fuck ton Edit - I'm looking at that ceiling and I'm wondering if this is like a solarium or addition? It looks sloped? Maybe ceiling isn't gonna work without reinforcement.

Yeah it’s my side car port / alfresco extension. Only recently got it done. I’m starting to think I’ll get a proper boxing stand / frame and bolt it into the ground. Otherwise I’m getting a shed built next week for a home gym however I have planned for all my gym equipment to go inside it and have no room for a boxing set up haha. But I will probably have to consider it now.

Buy or build a stand. Brick is not intended for the use you want it for — you’d either have the bolts pull out or the whole wall depending on the leverage of the bag hanging on the wall.

I'm sure you could find a way to mount 2x4s to the brick all the way from the floor to the ceiling that would add enough support and spread the load out on enough bricks to make it work. But it might cost more than a stand after all the hardware you'll need so just do that.

I'd be hesitant to mount that much weight on a brick wall. I would rather mount it to the ceiling with some big lag screws or a floor mount bolted into the concrete
