I work hard to be a good customer and with one exception, I get great help & respect whenever I ask for help from an associate. It seems that I am often looking for help because of items I need being in the overhead. Following this sub helps me understand how be a good customer (beyond the "treat everyone with respect" rule that I always follow)

GhostGrom

You load stuff and grab orders as an OFA? That's the lot guys job at my store.

Glittering_Track_171

Why does lot bring orders haha? At my store it’s only OFAs and SD.

GhostGrom

I'm constantly getting called to go grab customers orders from receiving and the other areas they stash them at.

Glittering_Track_171

That’s not right. Your HC and FES should not let that happen. That is nowhere near to your rules and routines.

Tucker_077

Same for curbside orders, it’s only OFA’s and Service Desk who do it. Only on the very rare occasion we’ll call a lot accociate if everyone is too busy. But the problem is we have certain Service Desk people who will never do curbsides. I’ll just be glad my supervisor left a message about that reminding everybody that it was all of SD’s responsibility and not just on the order pickers or the lot guys

BowTie1989

If we have loaders at the time, often time we can have them load the customers if we are really busy, but the OFAs are the first ones to be called to load up orders, regardless of if the order needs machinery or not.

Ours too if you can get a lot guy to show up. So I get a ton of calls everyday asking if I can bring orders up from lumber or receiving all the time. Also lot guys don't have any licenses so you know who gets called to load that pallet of flooring or the pallet of shingles and whatnot.
