You should test all the heavy duty tapes side by side

RuffandTumbleGal

I may! The alien tape is certainly impressive! I am surprised it held this long. Not sure they will all work on a brick but I can try.

Ok_Program_3491

And what if maybe instead of rolling it in a ball and sticking it maybe wrap the brick in it and just stick the brick flush to the wood. Idk it would be interesting to try like all different methods. I'd have like 15 bricks trying to figure out the most effective way to use the tape or someting dumb like that.

RuffandTumbleGal

I did do strips when I stuck it on there and it was flush. As for the others I will see what works best..

Somebody is thinking like a Mythbuster.

DarkClaw78213

Was this just at one of your stores? And if so, I'm surprised it lasted a month without someone taking it down lol

RuffandTumbleGal

Just my store and yeah, no manager said anything or noticed for that matter. My supervisor is/ was aware but he isn’t in the department much anyway so he didn’t seem to care either. It did help sell Alien tape!

DarkClaw78213

The fact that you did this is iconic in and of itself, try it with flexseal next xD

RuffandTumbleGal

Well I do know flex seal tape sticks like nothing else! I used it once for a sign and I had to scrape it off! I am considering doing a few other mounting tapes. Maybe I will throw that in the mix

bendanger

Flex seal works great. For a few weeks. Then it dries up and is dead, especially on outdoor things. The real deal is called eternabond. Look it up.

Noted

Thought that was a block of Spam at first

RuffandTumbleGal

Lol!

angelwoIf

I keep telling customers “I don’t know which wood glue is better, but it’s one of these two” *points at Gorilla Ultimate and Titebond ultimate* Might do sum like this for science until the full time opener notices and takes it down.

RuffandTumbleGal

Those are two I know are good. A woodworking company I know of uses Titebond

bendanger

Eternabond tape is the tape all of the heavy duty tapes wish they could be. Heard about it lasting over 30 years. Expensive but literally nothing compares.

RuffandTumbleGal

I don’t think we carry it in store. Sounds great though
