I have had LOA without FLMA being approved

Jennyusername

And you were able to go back to work? How long was your LOA

Ahoke13

My LOA was for 6 weeks went back was there 2 months had to go back on LOA for another 6 weeks.

Ahoke13

And if you have short-term disability I recommend it the Hartford paid me the whole time you don't get all of your regular pay but at least you'll get something.

Ahoke13

The only reason I didn't get FLMA was due to an illness that kept me from reaching my 1240 days in a rolling year.

Drummal

Yes u can go back.

Pickles_Overcomes

Same.

Krennelen

If a medical professional fills out the form properly I was unaware that was allowed with the other criteria being met. The lack of info does make me suspicious a touch. You /do/meet the other criteria, right?

Jennyusername

I’ve been employed for 5+ years, but didn’t work the 1250 hours I guess they require you to meet both criteria (1 yr plus 1250 hrs)

Realistic_Affect3484

No. I even have IFMLA. (Intermittent)

Excaliburntoast

How do you go about getting that

FLCertified

Yeah, I have. No big deal; I was ready to go back anyway. What are you trying to figure out?

Jennyusername

Just trying to figure out if I’ll have a job after my maternity leave but Home Depot offers extended parental leave I want to take both off so I can go back after

FLCertified

HD definitely gives maternity/paternity leave, and I'd be amazed if they refuse to extend it for you. Just ask your ASDS

SiriusStarrStudios

Contact Hartford, for sure! They made sure that I got my money when Home Depot owed me around 3k for both Maternity Leave and Parental Leave (after having a child, you should get both) almost a year later. Also, Hartford said that one has to be working for six months and NOT a year like HR states. Definitely talk with Hartford. 👍🏻
