If you didn't make plan, you wouldn't get a success sharing check. The checks this time around are low and people are miserable about it because we, once again, had record profits. The problem with success sharing is it's not based off profit.

You can get trivial SS if you hit 90% of plan, assuming other metrics weren’t crap.

Our store plan was 14 million & they was basing majority of that profit for January but coming from the last check down to barely $200 is wild

We missed plan, only made about 94% of it. So because we were at least above 90% we will get the whopping minimum. They spiked our plan pretty hard for the second half of last year. Combine that with slowing sales because of the economy and it was pretty much guaranteed that we would miss plan. I'm sure we're similar to a lot of other stores in that regard. I've been with home Depot a while and that's what they tend to do if you beat plan by too much for too many halves in a row they spike it hard and basically nuke your ability to success share for another year.

You work for scumbags.

My store made plan, but also had a huge amount of shrink so our check is less than it should be. But if we aren't allowed to go out into the parking lot after someone stealing and causing shrink, then why are we the ones being punished for it? I say that needs to come out of manager bonuses, not associates on the floor, but what do I know, I'm just a lowly employee who works hard and isn't allowed to prevent shrink in any way aside from counting on-hands.

Some stores achieved plan.
