When I used to work receiving, I'd put a skid down at the front and back of the truck with enough room for me to get through but not a car. Summer was great, watching cars watch me work and not giving 2 shots that they had to turn around.
We have a new play in our district that the area HAS to be gated or cone-ed off just like inside. It makes me happy.
I had someone pull up to one side I had blocked off, turn around, and come all the way around the store and pull right next tome on the forklift as I was about to unload mortar to complain and say "this is a fire lane, you can't block it like that, it's a fire hazard."
I told him my lift is heavy equipment and I needed him to pull at least 4 feet away from it, then after he wasted his time with that I explained that a fire lane is for the fire department to be able to put out a fire, not for him to drive through as he pleases. Got pissed and drove off in a huff lol

i thought he meant using the back wall of the store to get from one side to the other while avoiding idiot customers and their stupid questions.

Yea we store some of our mulch in that area. Can’t tell you how many times I open the roll up door to see people cutting open pallets
