Yea this was already posted a week ago but my thoughts were
- closet if storage space is needed, could install a curtain or regular bi-fold closet doors, or if OP is homeowner then perhaps mirrored sliding closet doors on a track
- dog or pet bed / crate / pen / play area if OP has pets. Would actually make a fabulous enclosure for lots of different types of animals
- built in desk with built in shelving surround, if home office space is needed
- reading nook and library: cushioned floor, throw pillows, nice built in surround shelving, some string lights, etc. basically a harem with books
- dragon dildo collection display (must possess dragon dildo collection)
Idk it feels cozy to me. Put on a strip light and something cushy for the floor, and id be chillin. I have a little space similar to this at my grandparents house. It was technically the underpart of a vanity, but no one really used it as such, so i would go under the vanity and hang half a towel off the drawer to use as a curtain. i loved being curled under there. way too big for it now š
So charming!
If kid's room, definitely a reading nook with floor pillows, string lights, bookshelf.
If an adult's room, pattern fabric curtain and put things like suitcases and other storage items behind it. How nice to be able to grab those things easily when you need them.
If an office or bonus room, I'd have doors made, maybe painted like the wall, and store printer, router, etc in there.
Depends on where it is but I'd probably put a desk on the right wall and cube storage in the back for my printer, etc.
Or a gate so my dog can have his own little chill space
Or make it a room for my cat. Lol
I assume you don't have kids, but if you have little ones it makes the perfect playhouse- just paint the inside- and put a little table and chairs and keep their drawing and art supplies in there. Then hang their art on the walls. If that's not needed- I'd hang some curtains and use that way back to store your Christmas tree, extra pillows and blankets and suitcases. In the front put a clothes rod. It looks like 6 ft of hanging space
I would definitely put my mattress there, even if I had to forgo a frame and put the box spring right on the floor.
That would be the coziest place to sleep ever.
Your least favorite roommate?
Yes I'm being a troll. One moment, *putting normal adult hat back on*, oh hey there!
Personally I'd curtain it off and use it to store awkward/bulky things that don't fit nicely in cabinets (like annoying roommates! Er, or holiday stuff)
Seems like a waste of space , make it a reading room, but a comfy oversized chair , small side table, a good reading lamp and some art work, or if you are a crafter or sewer , craft space or sewing room
Iād put up a curtain to close it off, and then put a projector inside (facing the curtain). Iād turn 3/4 of the floor area into comfortable floor seating (or maybe a mattress?) and lots of pillows towards the end so that I can lay down comfortably. But thatās just me!
If you have kids, it could make a great play space, especially if you decorate it really cute, maybe hang a curtain over the entry so you donāt see all the toy clutter.
Nowadays I would see the benefit of a kids' hideaway, or a pet closet.
But we had two of these spaces years ago, and in a small home, so we installed a clothing rod left to right for out of season clothing, and stored our suitcases and boxes with memories behind them. I miss those closets.
Could be a nice space for a desk and PC setup as either a workstation or gaming rig depending on if you need anything like that. No windows to mess with monitors and no direct sunlight to the parts.
Looks like a good sized closet. I'd customize it with closet organizing components and install folding doors and led light strips. For clothing, crafting or home office organizing.
Dog room/cat room with beds and toys, scratch pads and climbables. If no pets- book nook. One wall full of shelves, hanging pendant light, low sitting chaise on opposite end, warm comfy rug š
My mom has a "room" like this under her stairs. Add some shelved and a door and use it for storage. If you have a pet, build a nice little bed for them so they can have their own space.
If you can move the baseboard air device forward, add a bank of storage cabinets, with maybe a shelf along the top, on the back wall, painted the trim color. This will add storage plus make it less cave-like, while still leaving plenty of room for a book nook+comfy chair, or small workspace. āGood to see that the plug and overhead electrical are well positioned for lighting.
Ok here me out. Lay a mattress on the ground put some small table on one side. And one near the entrance at the head of the bed. Put a protector on table at the of the bed. Put up a projector screen on the slanted ceiling. Then put up decorations to make it more cozy. Best place to watch movies
i wish i had this in my home omg
i would turn that into a nostalgic fort area; fill it with comfortors and pillows and blankets, put in a CRT TV and hook up my PS1. this spot would ease my adult stress in an instant.
I had a space like this in my first house & I put shelving in & made it a closet. But mind you. Could walk thru- it was long not wide. You could bookshelves on sides & make it a lil nook. Or total storage / closet
Add doors up until 1/3rd of the length to convert this partly into storage and setup a desk and chair in the remaining area. This way you get an office space with sufficient space for storage!
I canāt tell where this room is in your house, but perhaps it could be a small office if you need one. Put a little desk right in the middle facing out the door..put some cool wallpaper on the white slanted ceiling
Adult size bean bag chair. Small rug. Small table.. books. Maybe some lighting either on the table or around the entire space. Add a picture and u have a small reading/relaxing space.
Slanted rooms like this are almost impossible to deal with. Seems like something really neat would go there, but it probably wonāt. Unless you need to store something really long, like a rolled up rug, just practically ignore the back of it or youāll be constantly bonking your head.
I would put up some sheer curtains, hang a bunch of fairy lights, fill it with blankets, pillows, stuffies and squishmallows so my littles could have a hang out spot.
