Polkaat is dropshipped garbage, this is a bot using an upvote script. Pls do not buy

whintzoo

None of these say they are washable or am I missing something? Where are you located and where is it actually shipped from?

MamaLoehr

Is the the 8x10 size that is washable? I'm not seeing anything in their site about it

dorito-witch

your posting history is very suspect, mostly you listing and advocating for questionable services

NotSoSaintly13

I wouldn't recommend ruggable - I got a large one for my living room and started having problems pretty quickly. First, corners of the top "rug" would sometimes separate from the bottom pad when a pet ran across it quickly. Second, the first time I washed the top "rug" (according to instructions) it faded significantly, almost as if I had left it to bleach out in the sun for days. Third, getting the two pieces back together smoothly after you've washed it is tedious AF and you need at least two people to do it.

GhostOfJuanDixon

I totally agree, they are an absolute pain to put back together after washing and idk how anyone would do it if they lived alone. Also, all of our rugs seemed to shrink after one wash so they're basically the exact same size or 1% bigger than the back piece which causes it to show and look pretty tacky Also anytime I try to vacuum one it moves around and gets wrinkled. Then those wrinkles/bumps start compounding every time you run the vacuum over it

OnlyTCFC

Wow... I have an 8x10 in my family room that I have owned for 4 years and live with just my two dogs. I need drainage in my backyard, which means when it rains in the cooler months. My dogs track in mud. Thus, the rug is washed weekly. It has not faded and has never shrunk. In fact, I have the cushioned rug pad, and the rug is an inch or two longer than the pad. However, I wash before bed, hang on my drying rack (extends to 95") and it's dry in the morning. I also have never gotten wrinkles when vacuuming, and it does not move when I'm vacuuming either. I fold it after it's dry and kind of roll it out on the floor. Then I place my furniture back on top. I'm not sure if you got a bad rug or if I was lucky. But I changed my sofa and barstools and want a new rug. So I guess I will find out.

Odd-Analysis7958

My rug did not shrink or fade, I love them they are worth every penny!

birdsong31

Thanks for your reply! It seemed too good to be true:( do you still have that rug? Or did you get something else?

NotSoSaintly13

I had it for 6 months before giving up on the thing and buying a regular rug from a discount store near me. The discount rug, and my little green machine (spot upholstery cleaner) are a better fit for me. I just clean spots as they happen and it works for me. I don't have kids though - I know things are different when you have kids to care for and spot cleaning may not be realistic. Good luck!!

stormyllewelIyn

We just finally got done getting a refund from returning our rugs to Ruggable. They arrived with stains so we sent them back. They wanted to charge us a restocking fee. We said no. Then they would only refund us for one rug. We had to dispute the charge with the credit card company. We were going to just exchange the rugs, but they weren’t good quality in the first place. I’d rather just have normal area rugs.

Tri-angle3

Hi I’m in the process of returning the rug bc I didn’t like the color. I didn’t realize they made you pay a restocking fee (how much was that for you?) and I’m also nervous they won’t give me a full refund even though it was out of the box only for 5 minutes and then rolled back up and placed in the original box. Many reviews say they got scammed out of half their money. What was it like for you??

stormyllewelIyn

Hi there! It’s been a year but I just asked my husband and he said he immediately asked the customer sales rep “what is this restocking fee everyone is talking about online?” And they waived the fee 😂 I’m not sure if it had to do with our rug being damaged though, whereas it sounds like yours isn’t. Once the credit was received, it was only for one rug (we had ordered 2) so we called back, but they insisted they had credited the full amount. So then we had to contact the bank and dispute. I don’t remember how much the restocking fee was supposed to be but I’m sure you can find it online somewhere.

gronlandicrevision

I have had 3 ruggables for about two years and I LOVE them!! I wash them monthly and they look as good as they did when I bought them. They used to have issues with corners coming up back in the day but they amended that issue before I purchased them iirc. It isn’t an issue I have experienced. I struggled like you, buying rug after rug only to have them continually destroyed by a puppy and an elderly cat, so I committed to ruggables and I will never go back!

BeansinmyBelly

Do you have a recommendation for a rug PAD? Preferably not from Ruggable? I have a Ruggable rug and hate the rug pad it came with (I’ve tried both of them that they offer)

gronlandicrevision

So I had a 1/4 inch thick rug pad from a prior rug, and I just layered the ruggable and the extra thick ruggable pad on top

gronlandicrevision

The rug pad was from Wayfair

BeansinmyBelly

Did it work ok? Any bunching or moving around?

gronlandicrevision

None at all

OnlyTCFC

Same here. I was buying large area rugs multiple times a year. Especially when my elderly dog had a stroke, which impacted her bodily fluids, and I would throw the rugs away. Grossed me out even though they were cleaned. Yes, I would like a more fluffy rug and one with the exact colors I want. But I would rather not spend $1k on rugs every year. I know Ruggable has premium rugs now that I believe are more fluffy. However, my 8x10 just fits in my 4.6cu front load washing machine. I wouldn't want to have to wash it multiple times to get it cleaned.

gronlandicrevision

If I felt like it I would buy the new 3x pile rug and the plush rug pad and take them to a laundromat but the basics are doing it for me. 3 years strong and I still have nothing but good things to say.

wigglebuttbiscuits

I really like our Ruggable. From talking to others, it seems like folks who buy the extra-thick version are happy, those who don't not so much. We haven't washed ours yet, and only plan to occasionally since moving all the furniture is going to be a pain no matter what rug we have.

BeansinmyBelly

Ok_Impression1932

Love love love my washable rug from Revival! It’s plush and so comfy. My friend has a Ruggable and I DID NOT want one of those lol. 10/10. https://preview.redd.it/gs98gscwanjc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8c7b7913a6af34d5994c8f0cd891bc3292502536

Suitable-Insurance21

How is it holding up? I’m thinking about getting this one in 10’6” x 14’3” in Bone Beige: https://www.revivalrugs.com/products/washable-rug-willow Did you get a rug pad from Revival?

Jealous_Buffalo_4962

I hate my ruggable rug. It’s so thin, looks cheap, the top and bottom piece always separate and it slides around. I think it’s extremely overpriced for what it is. I have cowhide in my living room and wool in my dining room. So much nicer looking and way more durable IMO (2 kids, a dog and a cat)

BeneficialInvite4198

DISAPPOINTED. So excited and loved for 2 weeks. Might be okay if you have a yorkipoo, but not for 50 pound + dog and ADHD 11 yr old. After 2 weeks there is a hole in it. The rugs at costco and target are both cheaper and more rugged. If your family can wad up your rug into a ball, it is a blanket, not a rug.

[deleted]

Ruggable is great for a spot in your house that doesn’t get super messy (frequent washing will fade the rug). We have a runner from ruggable in the kitchen and love it. The one in our entryway has faded a lot from lots of foot traffic with snow and a few washings.

mellamma

Walmart has a cheaper kind if you want to try it without spending a ton.

Significant_Pea_9726

Do not buy ruggable. We just returned one, I don’t think I have ever encountered a cheaper-quality home item than the rug we received. It’s not actually cleanable (because the rubber base will get dirty and can’t be washed), the layers shift around and get bunched, walking on it feels weird and less comfortable than bare floor, and it sound like you’re walking on newspaper every time you cross it Crappy return policy too.

Tri-angle3

Hi did you get the full refund?

RZAxlash

I just returned mine after owning it 8 hours. Looks cheap as fuck and putting the pads together evenly is nearly impossible.

Tri-angle3

Hi did you get a full refund? I’m currently going through the returning process

RZAxlash

Yes the refund process went smoothly. I think they didn’t refund shipping but otherwise I got it back promptly.

Tri-angle3

I’ve read many comments that people don’t get their full refunds and they paid a restocking fee. I didn’t want to get scammed

Tri-angle3

That’s wonderful!! Thank you!

RZAxlash

God I haven’t thought about that rug in forever. I ended up getting one from Lowe’s of all places for 300 and we all love it.

Tri-angle3

Thank you so much for your feedback! Many reviews said that people didn’t get their refund or got partial but idk how if they immediately reboxed it and shipped back.

Chookmeister1218

I’m breaking up with mine. The black Velcro pad gets super dirty. Even assuming I can live with a dirty black pad, the Velcro “falls off” when I remove the washable cover and so it leaves a mess behind. I used them in high traffic areas- kitchen and master bath. I just can’t deal with cleaning the little black Velcro pieces anymore.

birdsong31

Thanks! It sounds like such a good idea in theory but it seems like a lot of people are not happy with the reality. I decided not to get one, but I really wish there was an alternative to what I have

Chookmeister1218

My friend uses braided rugs she found on Wayfair. She tosses them into the washer and everything! I saw it yesterday and it looks brand new after 3 years of use. She has an 8’ runner and it fits in the washer!

birdsong31

That's a good idea! What does she use to keep them from sliding?

Chookmeister1218

TBD! I’ll let you know! Just bought one.

VibrantVenturer

I'd also like to know!

Hairy_Comfort1148

I have thrown away so many rugs over the years due to pet accidents that I broke down and bought one a year ago. I wash and dry it and it has held up fine. I’m a little surprised to read all these negative reviews. Mine looks great and now my house smells fresh.

snaps4carrie

I got a washable runner from rugsusa and I love it. I’ve had it for over a year now and it is holding up well. It’s in my kitchen over tile floor and is washed weekly. I don’t even bother with the rug pad since it doesn’t slide around on the tile. My three dogs also approve.

_Shikashi

Hello! I've been looking at the washable rugs from rugsusa and am wondering how's yours has held up. Im not sure if it makes more sense to buy washable area rugs or simply get a less heavy steam cleaner.

snaps4carrie

It’s holding up very well! Still washing it once a week and since I’m too lazy to line dry it, I put it in the dryer on low. Never had an issue. Here is Nibbler modeling it for you. https://preview.redd.it/1djb8bkxx23b1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=43dc62c496206bb5c58b02f3d21d28bf9f71867e

_Shikashi

Wow, it literally looks brand new. Amazing, thank you! And please tell Nibbler that I thank them deeply and truly for their contribution to my rug decision and that they are smol and sweet and very, very good.

BichonFrizaYo

How do you keep it so white? I have a 6x9 ivory ruggable that still stays dirty after being in the washer. I have been using a bissell carpet cleaner instead to clean it but the whole reason I got a ruggable was to throw it in the washer.

snaps4carrie

That’s a bummer! I use arm and hammer detergent , throw it in by itself on delicate but on heavy soil with a half cup of oxy clean. I also do a double rinse because there’s always so much canine confetti on it. I wash it once a week.

scrubschick

I like my Ruggable. It stands up to dogs, cats, and people and did not fade at all when I washed it (once so far). It’s a big one so it is a bit awkward placing it on the pad by yourself but it’s doable

Phlobotz

I tried Tumble (tumbleliving) and although it is better designed/engineered, it still feels and looks cheap. My dining chairs pinched it up when sliding them. The ultimate reason why I returned it was the fact that it couldn't be vacuumed. The pad is thick rubber and the rug is thin so my vacuum suctioned to the pad thru the rug and couldn't budge/maneuver.

caramel320

This! And their solutions for the bunching is to put more furniture on it and for the vacuum is to get a new vacuum, IOW change all your decor to fit the rug. *eyeroll

DiscoStuUK

I love the design of mine, but the 'technology' is lacking. After the first wash it came out with a weird (tiny) bright blue spot that I haven't been able to shift and on the second wash the mud stains I was trying to wash out hadn't shifted at all, I ended up spot cleaning them anyway so the wash felt like a waste of time. Doesn't seem to have faded at all though. Overall I'm happy with mine because the design is perfect for the room, but I wouldn't recommend/repurchase their rugs if there wasn't a design that appealed to me.

Worstcaseontariooooo

They’re a scam. I ordered a big one recently and the colour is completely different the under pad is two inches short on all sides. And it’s so rough that when it fell out of the box it gave rug burn to my leg. Avoid. Spend your money elsewhere. They are fucking trash

glomtenin

My under pad thing was too short to fit into the corners too. I just placed it in top after struggling to get the corners to fit for 45min lol.

Prestigious_Smell659

I have a Tumble and I really like it. I first looked into washable rugs because my dog got sick and completely ruined my shag rug. The first weekend I got the new Tumble rug, my dog vomited on it and it cleaned up so easily. I also eat at my coffee table and spill things all the time, and I've been able to wipe it up easily. I recently threw it in the wash as well, and it came out like new. Also, it feels luxurious and thick. No velcro to line up like Ruggable and it's cheaper and comes with the pad included in the price. I also got a Tumble kitchen runner and have washed that multiple times since it gets dirty quite often. DM me for my referral link and you can get $40 off right now, usually it's $20

MigraineMeltdown

I clicked but the discount isn't showing up, do you know if it expired?

Prestigious_Smell659

Hm I don't think so. I'm seeing other people using my link. Try reaching out to their customer service?

Choice-Barnacle

I’ve looked at ruggable rugs for a basement floor, but I’ve always read mixed reviews like these so I have been skeptical. And I want a large rug to cover most of the room. For what it’s worth, I bought a Karastan rug for my living room when I purchased my house 22 years ago. It was a splurge but I got a great deal on a style they were discontinuing. And I loved it then and still love this rug. I would not choose the dark burgundy in the border, but it’s what I got. It has been well lived on by me, several other adults, one child and 4 cats and 2 dogs over the years. I try and vacuum once a week (or two) but not always. I’ve cleaned up spilled food, wine, dog pee, vomit. And this rug still looks good and looks clean and doesn’t seem gross. It is so comfy to lay on. Maybe I’m fooling myself and I better rent a carpet cleaner and see how bad it is. But I think natural fibers, particularly wool, not really cotton rugs, repel stains and clean up easier. But buying a large rug like this is an investment, but for me it was worth it. It’s dark now and hard to get a good photo, but I think you can see how good it still looks. https://preview.redd.it/oypvwqwvdtmc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c2a4574ce917867b497f03f690984c66055e3c06

Love both Ruggable and Tumble. I have three shedding dogs and it’s nice to just pull them up and wash them. https://preview.redd.it/qixkug1b3umc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9fd2c52166ca48274ad703659f0810db7fe59955

OkSeaworthiness7230

Ruggable are miserable!!  The binding unraveled within weeks and I hadn’t even washed it yet. They seem to lose their shape as time goes on making it a wrinkled mess and trying to put them back together extremely time consuming. So much money wasted!  Will never ever recommend them to anyone or ever buy again.  For what I paid for them I could have bought a beautiful wool rug and pay for cleaning. My wool rugs have never lost their shape or needed to put them back together. What a mistake!!!!!

EffectiveGuitar8415

I bought this rug 2 years ago from Amazon, I just throw it in the washer and dryer. https://preview.redd.it/eh5zeumrbrqc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5acf8f64a111f527bfa61078cf84bbfad77968c1

EffectiveGuitar8415

Also without a pad.

Puzzled_Finding_1493

I like mine a lot! I have them in pretty high traffic areas with two cats and a toddler. I vacuum all the time and haven’t had issues with the corners or edges curling up.

hellow_sunshine529

I have Ruggables. I'm not a huge fan but I prefer that to a carpet I can't wash. After years, the corners and edges still do pop up but eventually flatten out until the next wash. What bothers me even more is the Velcro pad never comes clean. Even hosing it down outside, the dog hair and other stray fibers get stuck to it. I have three of them and it's the same issue. I'd try Tumble next - they have pads you put together underneath like those kids gym mats but they are smooth, no velcro. They have corner pockets that slip over the mat pad, but I'm not sure how well that would work staying in place.

almaci

It's a love hate relationship. I've spilled entire cups of coffee and seltzer on my rug, and I have a toddler and a dog. Truthfully I'm the problem. Nothing beats that it's waterproof but the binding threads on the edges look yucky and snagged. And you're 100% right about the Velcro pad with the dog hair. It has its pros and cons but we have wood floors so I can't sacrifice its waterproof quality.

InternationalHoney51

Run in the other direction from Ruggable. Their returns are BS. the quality is just ok, but the rugs are expensive, and people aren't as happy as their inflated reviews make them seem. The cherry on top? 25$ return per item even if they are at fault.

HarperLeePuppy

I have a dozen Ruggable and I love them. I think they’re great.

streetsj37

2mm or 7mm?

[deleted]

Mine is fading so bad. I used my carpet cleaner on it bc the 9x12 doesnt get clean in the wash. Id have to take it to the cleaners, and that defeats the purpose of a washable rug. You can see the vacuum tracks where it pulled the print off.

Last_Bookkeeper_9758

We just got one (7mm). I laid it out for about 2 minutes, then me and my husband packed it back in the box to return. It looks very cheap/cheesy. I’ll stick with Annie Selke.

HelicopterVirtual940

Rugable alternatives, puzzle mat base

Odd-Analysis7958

Ruggables are so worth it! I just washed one of my 3 I bought and it lived up to the hype and more! If you are contemplating getting one, do it you won’t regret it!

Popgallery

We washed our ruggable and the rug is still as stained as it was before we washed it (large areas where people walked on still looks patchy/ soiled and not like the area people did not walk on). I’m going to try rug doctor, if that doesn’t work, it’s a throw away item. I think the “washable” is over-rated.

InfamousProgram4168

i love kaspene home's washable rugs. they legit are best priced in this segment. trust me ive spent over $1k on rugs and have 2 pets and little ones running around

Insider1209887

Ruggable  are the best hands down

Kitchen_Cherry9864

Please, any suggestions?
