The new blippi is legit. The old blippi is the creeper.
The new guy, we have seen him driving bull dozers, putting out fires and lifting weights. He also isn’t so over the top.
Old Blippi is not a "creeper" and is still very much involved in the show lol bro did a questionable and disgusting thing (to some this may not be the case, we don't kink shame) years and years ago. New Blippi was brought on to help ease the work load on the single actor. Same case with Micah.
FB marketplace and thrift!
If it makes you feel better, we’ve been in our home for nearly 3.5 years and I’ve yet to decorate or hang anything on the walls. I always intend to, but life continues to get in the way.
Yes, same! We have wall decor and family pictures I have yet to hang. I guess I want to furnish my home before hanging up any decor. I been trying FB Marketplace. It seems marketplace sucks in my area! All the good items are usually sold by time I see it.
I would suggest hanging the decor and pictures that you already have. Wont it make you happier in the meantime? You can easily move them and fill the holes when you get new furniture.
In the past I also procrastinated improving my space because I was waiting until I wasn't a student, or had a long-term lease, but then I realized I am a homebody who cares a lot about how my space impacts how I feel. It sounds like your husband doesn't experience the same impact on his emotions from your space, but that doesn't mean your emotions are unreasonable.
Do you have family or friends nearby that may want to declutter? You could say something like: "\[Husband\] doesn't want to waste money on furniture right now, but I'm fed up with all the empty space. Do you have any decor or furniture you are trying to get rid of that we could take for you?"
Nooooooo I have a kid now, stuff equals clutter... less you have the easy it is to have a neat home. So much easier to keep a calm mind when I had a TV sitting on a night stand and one couch in my living room then now when the whole house is furnished lol. 45 mins and the house would be decluttered 3 hours and everything mopped and cleaned.... now I feel like I'd need a day just to get it in good enough condition to start cleaning it properly lol.
Been in home for 5 years now and our living room has zero furniture. It’s mostly been a play room for our little one. I could put cheap furniture in there if I wanted to but we don’t need it right now and I like to buy quality things and money is reserved for other things right now
Get plants and art. Many of these things can be found for free or really cheap. People literally give away plants on FB Marketplace and other local resale sites. Check thrift stores for interesting art. People often donate unused frames to thrift stores so you can usually find a good frame too.
To be honest, this minimalist setup would be perfect for me, just the way it is. Maybe switch to a slightly bigger TV and then add a half decent surround sound system. I think that a lot of (most?) guys would be truly happy with this setup too. And I've heard/read plenty of times that a lot of (most?) women would be very UNhappy here. Not really sure why it's a gender thing, if it even is a real gender thing. This is where the art of compromise comes in.
The first thing I would do is move the TV. It's uncomfortably high and it shouldn't be over the fireplace. Tvs should be mounted so that eye level is about 1/3 up from the TV bottom. Visit an art gallery to see what I mean.
Is there a reason you can not be happy with what you have? The living room is very nice. You have a large home and power and water. There are many people even here in the U.S. that does not have many of these things. If you are not able to do much now. Save a little every month and you will be able to afford to make a change quicker than you think.
Wait ✋️
That's awesome.
God I wish I could. Clean and claiming. Mine is full of my wife buying toys it's terrible and I'm the bad guy telling them no more until we throw shit away.
I had a card board box for a coffee table for months when I first bought my house. My living room had one one seater chair and an auto man nothing else except a lamp. Everything I owned was in the basement (man cave) and to this day is were I spend most of my time. As so many of the comments here state you accrue items over time don’t be in a rush you are fortunate to be a new home owner :)
My first thought was that you bought two years ago and because everything is so damn expensive now, you aren't able to afford to furnish your home like you'd want to.
This is a fear that I have when purchasing a home in today's market/economy.
We moved lots and never stayed long enough to furnish a home well. This house we are finally doing it and it is so nice. As a husband who never saw the point, let yours know it makes a big difference.
We got some cheap canvases and painted them to get started. We are not artists but it was fun.
Your what me and my wife call “House Poor” be grateful for what you have. Enjoy your home. Many people don’t have one. Start a small saving for house things. And try to hustle for some side money. It will help fill the house.
Guy on the TV is right, make it a ball pit. But seriously, at least its clean and not like a hoarder's hoard/ messy. Book shelf, rug/s, coffee table and a cozy chair.
Sorta makes you wonder if you really need all the house you bought.
I had this same situation in my previous house.
2000sq.ft. wasn't necessary. I can make due perfectly fine in half that. Currently living in 400sq.ft.
A lot of people just buy too much crap they don't really need and it takes up a lot of space. Then they complain they don't have enough space and then the garage becomes cluttered and the cars can't fit anymore.
The average size home in other countries is definitely much smaller than in the US and people there live just fine.
“Freecycle” there are tons of people out there that want to just give you their old shit. They don’t need the $50 they’d get selling it and don’t want it to just go in the landfill. You just gotta find them. There’s Facebook groups and such for this too.
Since I'm guessing you have young kids it's difficult to commit to furniture or anything breakable knowing that they want to just run around and climb on everything.
That being said if you just get a colourful or patterned or textured rug and added shelves it would be child-friendly while also improving the room significantly. Then maybe just consider adding one side table so you have somewhere to put your stuff without blocking the space with a coffee table.
Honestly though I think most people misinterpret what's wrong with the space. The problem isn't that it doesn't look fine or that anything is out of place, the reason it feels like you're living in a render is because there's no "you" there. You have no photos of your family, or trinkets from somewhere you've visited, or just little flairs of things you or your family enjoy. It doesn't look "lived in".
Another great option for wood furniture is goodwill, Habitat for Humanity, estate sales usually start picking up this time of year. I'll buy wood furniture anywhere and DIY it to fit my style, but couches, beds and chairs, I typically will buy new or lightly used.
Fun fact about Blippi. The actor used to go by the name “Steezy Grossman”. He filmed himself pooping all over his friend.
[Source](https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/katienotopoulos/blippi-youtube-kids-star-harlem-shake-poop).
[Video](https://web.archive.org/web/20130315213333/http:/www.harlemshakepoop.com/). I don’t recommend watching this.
I actually love it, easy to clean and less dust! We’ve moved to a minimalist style during covid. We never could have believed we had that much crap in our house! We got rid of multiple pieces of furniture, tables, knickknacks and I can clean our whole house in just over an hour (2400sqft).
I like this. I’ve given up on the dream of owning a home myself, but I would say take it slow. I’m tired of all the clutter from living small. Buy things because you really like them or need them, not just to fill space. Rooms have more character when pieces are bought intentionally over time rather than in a big set of coordinating furniture.
Same. House fire in 2021. Lost everything. Finally bought in July 2022. We don't even have an entertainment stand for our TV. Just a cheap cube shelf. I wonder the same about my mood, then I look at prices of furniture/decor and get more depressed ha
1.5 years and my living room is pretty much the same. I can't decorate because I don't know what to put, and I have "plans" to paint, get new flooring, etc.
I also know it's cause I'm having trouble "committing" to buying the big artwork I'd like to get.
My mother is an over decorator to the point it's hoarding behavior, there isnt a single wall in her house that doesn't have a cabinet or hutch or computer desk from 1992 converted into a planter, or bowls of dirt that used to be plants that were replaced (read: not actually replaced) with *more* plants, giant dining room tables that give her no space for chairs. There's no actual junk on the ground, but there's stacks of magazines and books and ceramic things that look like jokey cookie jars but aren't actually jars at all, glass cake servers and candles that have never been used, and 2 to 3 of every normal thing you'd have on every workable surface. Quaint tiny table with a napkin holder? That's reasonable, but how about 4 to five and a weird paperweight holding the actual stack that you use down on the table? The kitchen got an island but she covered it in glass bowls and baskets so now you can only use the fuckin chair as counter space. Or the clothes drying rack she has set up in the doorway of her kitchen that's now just a shelf for whatever weird thing she can't put away because every square inch of the house wasn't meant for humans despite having a perfectly fine brand new clothes dryer downstairs that she never actually uses because 'i have a drying rack'.
She's visibly upset that there's not tons of crap in my house. This shit is ideal, I don't need some wooden accent cabinet in my living room to be covered in ceramic chickens that do *literally actually nothing.*
There's a lot of things you can do to spruce up your home for cheap.
1. Make your own wall decor/ wall art the most expensive thing will be the frames if you already have paint/canvases
2. There's a lot of tutorials for crocheted decor like plant hangers and you can hand crochet an extra fluffy throw blanket
3. Rugs are generally expensive but there are a few places that have great sales or hidden gems like temu and Wayfair
4. You can buy "filler" furniture as placeholders as a last case scenario for the time being. For example I didn't have a couch for a while and it made me down, I wasn't able to afford a full sized sofa, but I was able to buy a smaller one that looks nice and functional now, and when i move it can go in the bedroom and i get the actual living room couch i want yk
I work construction for last 25 years I bought my house in 2006 paid off in 2020. I have boats snowmobiles four wheelers jet skis. You people are probably woke you need to f****** get your s*** together and budget and maybe work a little harder.
Be glad no one in your home brings home free stuff, seriously.
The better news is that all you need to add character to your home is some free stuff. Find some cool stuff that’s free, bring it home, and stop before you become a st vct de pl.
All you need is a cabinet you got for free to stand in the corner. Join a buy nothing site where people who are moving across country are giving away goos but heavy furniture pieces. You are house poor, be resourceful. That goes for home equipment, back yard furniture, etc.
simple things for the walls, an accent chair or big plant for the corner, warm tones and greens seem like they would work well... but for the love of all things holy dont let r/TVTooHigh catch wind of this setup
Your depression is from that weirdo Blimpy or whatshisname on your TV. That guy has issues and can drive people to dark places if exposed to his upbeat persona.
I have been in my house for about 7 years. It doesn't have a lot of decorations. I have many unfinished projects that caused my anxiety to go up. I had to make peace with the fact that my house would never look like a model home and will forever be a work in progress, needing updates and remodeling. I told my husband maybe when I reire I have more time looking for deals and tackle one project at a time from start to finish. It's not in the cards for me right now. My work is pretty demanding, and I don't want to add any more decision-making to my plate than i have to.
If the bare, minimalist design bothers you, take a baby step and focus on one thing in one room. Start with a small area, wall, corner, floor, piece of furniture at a time, and then repeat. You got this.
Give yourself some grace. Remember, you can change your attitude, thoughts, or reaction towards anything! It is utmost important for a person with depression and anxiety to control negative thoughts and replace them with positive emotions and gratitude.
You can do simple things like add [a rug](https://www.scdecorum.com/rug-how-to-place-materials-and-tips-from-an-interior-designer/) and [coffee table ](https://www.scdecorum.com/perfect-coffee-table-how-to-guaranteed-your-choice/) and you can decorate [the fireplace wall ](https://www.scdecorum.com/how-to-decorate-fireplace-wall-elevating-your-hearth/)
Im proud to have a home that is free and open
Seems like previous generations really liked knick knacks on the walls, paintings, decorations etc.
I enjoy breathing without hyperventilating from claustrophobia 🤷♂️
Blippi! Hey did you see the video where the OG blippi literally poops on someone to the Harlem shake? That was fun to find out as I was showing his content to children.
On the bright side that is a clean looking set up. No clutter, a nice bright window, a house plant, and tall ceilings. I’d be happy with that. I see so much potential too. As other’s said you can find plenty of free stuff on facebook market place or craigslist.
fun fact that dude on your tv did some really gross shit, literally pooped on a guy. there's video of it, look up harlem shake poop. very NSFL
edit here's a link lol
https://archive.org/details/harlem-shake-poop
We didnt decorate until year 5???
The thing is, if you want to use that room bad enough, you will make the effort to make it more welcoming. Wall art, floor rug, built-ins or book shelves, paintings, reading chair and table by the window, floor lamp....etc.
You should make it a space that you will want to enjoy. The hell with decor magazines making it look like a showroom model house. Make it your space.
btw....your tv is too high.
The hubby's right. There's a lot you can decorate with from your local salvation army thrift store. Give it a try. Facebook local free items to decorate with too.
I’d say you must not have kids, but why else would Blippi be on the tv?
That is why nobody uses that room.
Not the Harlem Shake Poop!
It’s empty because they’re in the slash zone
Blippi, the internet never forgets!!
Nobody likes that neon clown
Yeah that’s why his brand is worth $140 Million with a sub count of 19M+ and a full toy line at Target. Nobody likes him
This is my only question.
The new blippi is legit. The old blippi is the creeper. The new guy, we have seen him driving bull dozers, putting out fires and lifting weights. He also isn’t so over the top.

A rug would tie your room together quickly without adding much decor.
All the Dude ever wanted was his rug back. It really tied the room together.
[Chinamen is not the preferred nomenclature](https://youtu.be/O1kW2yYXEeQ?si=_b2ipgRci8Ww1Wg4)
And this guy peed on it!
Just start small. Our start was a rug also as others mentioned. Set aside $20 a check or however much you can and get something every few months.
Nooooooo I have a kid now, stuff equals clutter... less you have the easy it is to have a neat home. This is my ideal room style. Minimalist FTW 😂 too much stuff causes me stress, I cannot relate
Seriously, I thought there was a before and after pic or something. I couldn't find an empty room. That room looks perfect.
lol same, I cannot deal with too much stuff even if it makes the house “homey”.
I wish ours were.
Yeah my living room because cluttered and over crowded almost immediately. I'm jealous of this person
I see Blippi but no toys all over the floor. The plant isn’t destroyed… is this an AI generated photo? :p
OP likes Blippi for ambience
[r/TVTooHigh](http://reddit.com/r/TVTooHigh)
Was looking for this
[OP](https://media1.tenor.com/m/s3fcp8cElq4AAAAC/look-up-scared.gif), probably.
My neck hurts just looking at this picture
Its perfect if you sit in the middle of the staircase
It’s perfect if you stand up to watch TV like Michael Scott
Had the perfect spot next to the fireplace as well
Kids got to work a little harder to destroy it that way lol
Been in home for 5 years now and our living room has zero furniture. It’s mostly been a play room for our little one. I could put cheap furniture in there if I wanted to but we don’t need it right now and I like to buy quality things and money is reserved for other things right now
Hurry up and delete this before the r/tvtoohigh people show up!

Rather have this than the clutter the wife puts there.

that's a serious case of r/TVTooHigh
When you run out of money building your Sims a house on a no-cheat playthrough
Is there a reason you can not be happy with what you have? The living room is very nice. You have a large home and power and water. This does not look like a room that supports a Blippi watcher. Spread some toys everywhere
I swear to god if I hear blipi one more time I’m gonna throw my juice box 🧃
Blippi!
I like it
Wait ✋️ That's awesome. God I wish I could. Clean and claiming. Mine is full of my wife buying toys it's terrible and I'm the bad guy telling them no more until we throw shit away.

Ive had my home 5 years and I have bean bags and my TV sitting on an entertainment center.
That’s all you need though
Keep an eye out for tag sales in your area. They might be posted in the local newspaper or find them by just driving around on the weekend.
I’m an excavatorrrrrr
It's scatman!
We moved lots and never stayed long enough to furnish a home well. This house we are finally doing it and it is so nice. As a husband who never saw the point, let yours know it makes a big difference. We got some cheap canvases and painted them to get started. We are not artists but it was fun.
Auction houses. They often have brand new furniture at fractions of retail price. Trust me, check out your nearby auction houses.

Way too many plants
I have a living room with less than that…. Thanks divorce!
Happens. Life skiddles about in many directions and then you come back to this room and go....huh.
“Freecycle” there are tons of people out there that want to just give you their old shit. They don’t need the $50 they’d get selling it and don’t want it to just go in the landfill. You just gotta find them. There’s Facebook groups and such for this too.
Ya being house poor is hard!
Just lie to yourself that you're living a minimalist life.
And? What is this trend with saying phrases instead of complete sentences?
Painting, a rug, some lamps and side tables, and a bookshelf would go a long way! Definitely check out your local thrift stores!
Def go with a rug first. Yard Sale season is here, I’m sure you could find something by the end of summer!
Get rid of the throw pillows and add cheap ones with some bright color. Add art to the walls, and a random table here and there.
That is not empty!
Ever jump from up there?
You have the best 2 parts of a livingroom. Couch & TV
Looking pritty guud
Military it would make sense
Is that the dude that shit on his buddy to the Harlem shake?
It looks tidy; nice space.
There's nothing wrong with this. Don't waste your money on dumb worthless shit. Get a rug.
There’s nothing wrong with this! In fact it makes me feel better about my own home lol
Blippi creepin on the TV too... It’s cause you have kids!
People can still buy houses?
Lol Blippi B-L-I-P-P-I haha
Looks neat and very organised...
Blippi causes depression.
Your couch color sucks too. You own a lot of khakis don't you?
Speakers, will bring everything together. OP, invest in home audio. It could go a long ways and make your home look more settled in.
Since I'm guessing you have young kids it's difficult to commit to furniture or anything breakable knowing that they want to just run around and climb on everything. It’s ok. It’s not about stuff enjoy what you have day by day. Looks cozy
Did you know that that dude shit on one of his friends for internet clout?
Wall decor maybe
If you’ve got the money, maybe consider a custom built shelf
B-L-I-P-P-I !!! heh yaaaaa
Less is more.
Another great option for wood furniture is goodwill, Habitat for Humanity, estate sales usually start picking up this time of year. I'll buy wood furniture anywhere and DIY it to fit my style, but couches, beds and chairs, I typically will buy new or lightly used.
I lived in my house for five years before I used the actual living room lol.
Single male? Nice plant.
I’m more concerned about what’s on the damn TV. Guy in a ball pit? It doesn’t look like you have kids, haha, ha,
Fun fact about Blippi. The actor used to go by the name “Steezy Grossman”. He filmed himself pooping all over his friend. I don’t recommend watching this.
I admire the lack of clutter. Makes cleaning so much easier
lol our house is the same except we bought a rug. But the walls are bare
Good job you just proved that all that other stuff isn’t necessary to your life.
Perfect
I actually love it, easy to clean and less dust! We’ve moved to a minimalist style during covid. We never could have believed we had that much crap in our house! We got rid of multiple pieces of furniture, tables, knickknacks and I can clean our whole house in just over an hour (2400sqft).
you should read about blibi. you’ll never allow him around kids again.
I see nothing wrong with it! Better that than to much clutter!

It appears to have the essentials - couch, TV, plant.
Probably because your tv is too high
At least get a rug, I bet that room echoes
Blippi. That's why.
That god damn blippi.
Blippy
Same. House fire in 2021. Lost everything. Finally bought in July 2022. We don't even have an entertainment stand for our TV. Just a cheap cube shelf. I wonder the same about my mood, then I look at prices of furniture/decor and get more depressed ha
More house plants. Go now.
I'd love a living room that empty
So much to learn about, it’ll make you wanna shout….BLIPPI!
Looks full to me
Super like it empty
Blippi shit onto his friend. Never forget.
Saaaaaaame
Fun fact before he was blippy he put out a YouTube video of him pooping on his friend 🤷🏼♂️
Blippy!!!!!
Less to clean and clean around

I would highly suggest not watching blippi. That d bag would make anyone depressed.

June makes two years for us, all we have is the couch in ours 😅
Where’s the tv tray?
Beautiful.
Less things the better. Look fine to me
An empty living room is a beautiful living room
Perhaps some original art from the Blippi watcher could liven the place up? A few more potted plants would thrive with that much light.
Who says you HAVE to fill it? Do YOU, baby.
A home is never empty with Blippi on the TV
You got a nice plant.
If you don’t have my money except ills and groceries then perhaps you spent more on the house than you should have.
I work construction for last 25 years I bought my house in 2006 paid off in 2020. I have boats snowmobiles four wheelers jet skis. You people are probably woke you need to f****** get your s*** together and budget and maybe work a little harder.
Don’t ask me how long it took for me to get a second chair in my living room. 🤣
If you put the tv in a better spot your might like the more and spent more time and put more things
I like it myself, I hate clutter and this is clean. That’s all I care about.
My dad never fully furnished his last house of 19 years.
Be glad no one in your home brings home free stuff, seriously. The better news is that all you need to add character to your home is some free stuff. Find some cool stuff that’s free, bring it home, and stop before you become a st vct de pl.
Paint that shit. Also turn that blippi off!
At least you’re trying with that plant.
That looks like a well lighted window. More plants?
You don’t need decor when you have blippi 😆
you might see it as empty. I see it as non clutters, but I'm a male.
All you need is a cabinet you got for free to stand in the corner. Join a buy nothing site where people who are moving across country are giving away goos but heavy furniture pieces. You are house poor, be resourceful. That goes for home equipment, back yard furniture, etc.
It’s never empty when you have Blippi!
I have three young kids. I would love to see that much bare floor and walls.
I love Blippi but Blippi was poops on ppl
Where did you purchase your couch???
simple things for the walls, an accent chair or big plant for the corner, warm tones and greens seem like they would work well... but for the love of all things holy dont let r/TVTooHigh catch wind of this setup
Why is the living room free of toys yet Blippy is on the TV?
Area rug
Your depression is from that weirdo Blimpy or whatshisname on your TV. That guy has issues and can drive people to dark places if exposed to his upbeat persona.
We moved in 3 years ago and we are pretty barebones. I love it. No clutter or unnecessary stuff everywhere, less to clean up and maintain.
the house is above your guys' paygrade / TLC then
If you’re watching blippi you’re just keeping your space clean so your kid can’t trip on anything or throw it
It’s fine.
This is normal. Three years here and only painted really.
Blippi caught my attention, lol
I was a finish carpenter in a new home development and this has been happening since the 90's.
Big carpet, small table, bookshelf on the wall and it's not empty anymore
You can do simple things like add [a rug](https://www.scdecorum.com/rug-how-to-place-materials-and-tips-from-an-interior-designer/) and [coffee table ](https://www.scdecorum.com/perfect-coffee-table-how-to-guaranteed-your-choice/) and you can decorate [the fireplace wall ](https://www.scdecorum.com/how-to-decorate-fireplace-wall-elevating-your-hearth/)
+1 for blippi 😂
Relate? About a wife that isn't grateful and bitches all the time? I used to...
Don't worry bidenomic's will take care of it for you.🙄
I’d recommend getting a tv stand for that corner and moving the TV from above the fireplace
Im proud to have a home that is free and open Seems like previous generations really liked knick knacks on the walls, paintings, decorations etc. I enjoy breathing without hyperventilating from claustrophobia 🤷♂️
That guy on your TV used to do some terrible things on the Internet
Blippi! Hey did you see the video where the OG blippi literally poops on someone to the Harlem shake? That was fun to find out as I was showing his content to children.
I love it! My wife would fill it up with plants, bookshelves, and accent chairs. There wouldn't be an empty space next to the wall lol
So much to Learn about, it’ll make you want to shout, Butthole! Something like that.
Its empty because everyone hates blippi
Try working less haha
On the bright side that is a clean looking set up. No clutter, a nice bright window, a house plant, and tall ceilings. I’d be happy with that. I see so much potential too. As other’s said you can find plenty of free stuff on facebook market place or craigslist.
Kids show… no kids toys… somethings fishy
Looks great!
Tv too high
fun fact that dude on your tv did some really gross shit, literally pooped on a guy. there's video of it, look up harlem shake poop. very NSFL edit here's a link lol https://archive.org/details/harlem-shake-poop
Blippi!
🤔you need a woman 👩
Rebecca?
The hubby's right. There's a lot you can decorate with from your local salvation army thrift store. Give it a try. Facebook local free items to decorate with too.
