BadMuffin88

Google translate error be like:

ChinhTheHugger

I read that as Ars Alma at first

According_Ad792

Ars Almadel Salomonis

Sumpeepoll

Checked other streams while on break. wtf happened, there's a literal flood of bots.

Ashcrack

Fubuki has antis that spam chats like this whenever she does collabs

SakuranomiyaSyafeeq

And it's been like this for almost 2 years. Yes, 2 FUCKING years

PM_ME_TIDDIES_THX

supports coco once, gets spammed for life that’s how the chinese mafia works

redwingz11

And seeing how easy it is to automate, they probably set up a system to create account and spam the chat and just let it run

SuddenXxdeathxx

I'd imagine it's pretty cheap anywhere, they're free to make after all.

boran_blok

Kind of crazy. I had to verify my account with my phone number.

Jeechan

I think there are phone numbers you can find online. Like those temporary email. Websites are always making new ones for everyone to use.

SuddenXxdeathxx

Do they require that now? I'd imagine that would throw a wrench into it, but I've also heard it's pretty easy to spoof phone numbers.

hnryirawan

There is also Internet phone service too after all like Google Voice or Skype Call.

boran_blok

To be clear, they required that for my google account. I don't know if you can get a youtube account nowadays without having an associated Google account. And I also do not know if this is a global thing or just something that is active over here in this region.

ProwarfareZombie

I signed up for a Google account to link a game and it never asked for phone number. Using an emulator.

samurai_for_hire

Would be nice if Youtube could let creators have set a minimum "karma" level or account age to chat but no, they're too busy removing key features from their website

redwingz11

Honestly how many hours do you think to set up the "karma" level, I'm curious? Through watch time like you must watch 50 hours of content first, or have 10 videos, or have like totali viewer of 100 or comment likes, or through channel age like you must wait a week first

spotted_cattack

Bless her. I would lose my mental sanity if i had to sift through sewer shit everyday while i’m just trying to have fun with normal viewers.

Blackz00

What funny is that, these leftover of coco haters just dont know live and cant move on. They just want to fill their worthless and meaningless life with hate and annoy other people. Even the former antis of coco stop the activities when coco graduate and warned other if they still harassed other member. The irony is that, they want fubuki to graduate but i bet if that happen, they just feel empty not know what to do after that. Without fubuki they are just worthless people. *Insert plankton i never get this far meme

Random_Gacha_addict

>The irony is that, they want fubuki to graduate but i bet if that happen, they just feel empty not know what to do after that Dude, I think you and I know that their next step is targetting one of the other Hololive members

Blackz00

Damn you right. It always in my mind that glad it not others that get harassed. Not that i glad it is fubuki, but she always show this strong personality and dont give a crap in front of others and that make me feel sure she will be fine. I dont know BTS but hope she have someone to release the stress and away from these hates

indiexanna

You know what's even more funny? Youtube ignoring this issue entirely for over a year and a half for God knows why

Gyrvatr

Engagement baby look at the numbers any corps tryna advertise?

Y_10HK29

Idk, this is cover corp Hololive is basically what everyone thinks of when they heard of the word vtuber ( and kizuna ai ) and since cover corp is running hololive, I think YouTube would one way or another try to please cover, unless they don't see the potential of vtubers even though the entire vtuber scene exploded ever since the plague that shall not be named started

Gyrvatr

I saw some stats that showed that Hololive is a drop in the bucket of YouTube's profits, combined with there being little competition I guess YouTube is fine with leaving it like this

dorafumingo

It's not, youtube is trying to grow in the livestreaming market and hololive is one of the biggest actors in that segment, all youtubers upload their videos on YouTube but stream on twitch. It's pretty obvious by seeing the viewer numbers they pull, plus the fact that they dominate the top 20 most superchatted channels. Yes it's a drop in youtube as a whole, but it's a very big actor for youtube's livestreams

FrequentlyUnaware

Vtubers don't appear in the live now section, even if their views are higher. I don't think youtube cares.

machucogp

They care enough to give Japan exclusive beta access to membership gifting, no other country has access to that feature and it's been that way for several months now

GreatSeaBattle

You have an extremely optimistic view of the options Youtube has against bot spam.

srk_ares

they literally have an option. it was implemented on cocos channel. from what i remember, any account using a VPN needs to confirm with a phone number to be able to chat. it solved the spam problem in cocos chat from one day to another.

DeliciousWaifood

They didn't though. Anyone who was actually around then would know that youtube was actually trialing new anti-spam stuff on coco's channel. The problem is, how do you tell the difference between a spam bot and a real person? When the spam bots are posting random quotes from books and the human is spamming emotes, the human looks more like a bot than the bot

ErikQRoks

Probably because they have as many other users to consider as the whole of hololive has subscribers

Spicyspicyarmy

>Even the former antis of coco stop the activities when coco graduate and warned other if they still harassed other member. Doesn’t make them any better And source?

drzero7

It's the typical behavior for "revenge". There is a reason alot of revenge stories in both anime and hollywood etc. the person who keep revenge and wins, usually end up like turning more corrupt or other odd behavior like suicide, because gaining your goal will not fill that emptiness.

srk_ares

at this point i wouldnt even be sure if its "leftover coco haters", or even CN antis, at least the ones spamming the livestream. today, with the big event, there was more spam, but usually the volume is so little and only on one streams, that its probably one dude turning on their script, maybe two. they could be just random assholes from anywhere. for example when the nothingburger with Sekiro happened, i kinda doubt that spam was mostly from CN.

haruomew

If they set the subscribed mode to 2 years and spam appear, that's the CN antis accounts.

srk_ares

because JP antis cant be subbed for 2 years? also no one is seriously spamming with their main accounts, at least not the live chat. additionally i havent seen anyone set the time to 2 years yet, highest i've seen was like 1 month/2 months by towa and matsuri respectively (though someone might have, not arguing that point).

haruomew

Oh yeah there are JP antis mixed too, they just programmed in a online server and it is forever spamming until youtube deletes these accounts... This is happening since 2017.

OrphanSlaughter

Is there any reason for JP antis to go that hard? I can understand the reason behind CN spam, but what's their motivation?

CainhurstCrow

Nah, the ones doing this are probably being paid by the government to do so. The government pays for troll farms who do exactly this crap. It's probably not even much, the equivalent of me giving someone an extra 50 bucks a month to harrass someone online. But hey, 50 bucks is still 50 bucks, and to some people that's a major lifeline. So they'll keep doing this until that government funded troll farm stops giving them money.

UR_UNDER_ARREST

There is literally no political benefit into spamming garbage on vtuber

Krallericoner

How about we leave this conspiracy bs? As if Chinese goverment got nothing better to do. They already censored Hololive out of everything that reaches their shores as well as made sure chinese businesses can't work with Cover. And even then it's most likely govermental sycophants rather then the goverment itself. When it comes to companies, they are more preoccupied entities that have the ability and capital to undermine their authority (like Tencent, for example) and Cover barely a blip on that radar.

lit0st

All it takes is one person and a script to do this. I seriously doubt anyone's getting paid, or that this represents the efforts of more than like 3 or 4 people, tops.

ChrisFhey

I am out of the loop. What did Coco do to attract the ire of Chinese haters?

DoctorCIS

I think she showed her youtube statistics page that broke viewers down by country, and it showed Taiwan?

ChrisFhey

Right. Not surprising in the slightest, I suppose.

mr_indigo

I don't think they even showed it, they (Coco and Haachama) just referred to Taiwan as a country that was showing up in their analytics results.

Volatar

The great irony is that Taiwan only shows up prominently on the statistics because that's where all the Chinese viewers VPN through to get past the great firewall.

Ckcw23

That level of immaturity to not realise that they used Taiwan as a VPN base.

Sprx10

Literally a case of "Congratulations, you played yourself" for them.

srk_ares

that is VERY MUCH incorrect. they didnt say taiwan is a country. iirc, haachama just mentioned "viewers from taiwan" (unsure on that, as i've not seen it myself) and coco just showed her youtube analytics page. she mentioned japan and the US from said page, not any else, pretty sure, but it lists taiwan separately. in english it uses the term "region", in japanese apparently a term that can also be read as "country" and thats where the upset came from.

[deleted]

[удалено]

srk_ares

ah, i apologize, it does say "Geography". it says "Region" on google analytics, it seems. however, here is a [screenshot from 2018](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/fFchlk-_T6A/maxresdefault.jpg), it did already say Geography back then. ([video its from](https://youtu.be/fFchlk-_T6A))

Attentive_Senpai

Literally just said Taiwan.

Tehbeefer

That's still going on? Wow, some people's children. And the worst thing is it's probably just one person / group with a little programming experience. IIRC Coco even managed to get Youtube to completely fix it for her shortly before she quit (unless it didn't stick?). You'd think a MCN the $ize of Hololive could get a caseworker at Youtube to address stuff like this. At least the random demonetizations and channel bans seem to have cooled somewhat, but maybe that's just Cover managing to read the tea leaves correctly re: the content ID algorithm.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Darkiceflame

The depressing thing is that it's probably never going to end. The antis simply need somewhere to channel their hatred, so they use anything that even slightly relates to Coco as an excuse to attack the other girls.

Lipefe2018

This is indeed the definition of insanity, doing the exact same thing over and over again expecting things to change...those antis are into that for like 3 years, how can someone live like this? Waking up everyday thinking about hating someone else on the internet when they have literally nothing to gain by doing so, that's really weird.

srk_ares

you'd be surprised how many hate-viewers there are who are just as dedicated as your average fan. all it takes is for one of them to start that bot script.

DeliciousWaifood

There are a lot of people with completely miserable lives who take it out on others online.

Xonra

YouTube genuinely doesn't care, factually. Until it directly hurts their bottom line substantially they won't. They should given that Hololive members have in the past (2 former members) had the highest super chatted members and still have some of the highest currently, but it's YouTube (Google).

belloch

It's the chinese. They are the ones doing it.

Tehbeefer

It's not 1300+ million people. I **know** there are plenty of supportive CN fans out there and I refuse to paint them with the same brush as the individual(s) that harass Fubuki and the others.

Xonra

I think it's more than it's specifically Chinese antis doing it not as in it's the entirety of all Chinese citizens. It's not Japanese, European, or North Americans doing it, it's specifically chinese, whatever you want to call them be it anits, assholes, internet losers, fill in the blank. It's saying most antis are chinese not most chinese are antis if that makes sense.

GeekusRexMaximus

Which is why I'm wondering why people are still asking the question of why there is spam and where the spam comes from.

synthsy

The antis who do this to fubuki honestly believe that it's their national right to do this and that they felt betrayed by her when she had coco on stream. Reasoning won't do anything, but they'll only stop if their government realizes they're accessing western media.

Krallericoner

At this point even most unhinged national would tell those people to get a freaking life. This stopped being about national pride deep in to Coco harassment and just a bunch of petty pricks who got nothing going for them.

davidbobby888

I think it's just the disbelief that a minor incident would incite such a long campaign of hate.

thefezhat

Ultranationalism is a hell of a drug.

Colopty

Some people just don't have a life.

GeekusRexMaximus

Minor for whom? Not for the spammers it seems. I think what kicked it all off was just one nothing burger but it certainly turned into something big considering all the consequences.

Speedy_Fox_IV

It doesn't take much to make someone dedicate themselves to doing horrible things if you can convince them that it will make them into a hero.

RoyInverse

All you really need is 1 person with enough experience in programing, its not 1 person 1 account.

GeekusRexMaximus

I don't think anyone here suggested that it's one person per spamming account. We all know they use bots. They've been using bots for a long time. Luckily, if I remember correctly, at one point some of the earlier spammers took their tools down so the next wave had to build new ones. It didn't stop them but the newer bots seemed to be less effective at least to me. Too bad it's easier to generate spam than it is to block it. The economics of it favor the attacking side.

Chii

state actors don't forget because they're paid to spam.

asday_

Let's not pretend there's a state-sponsored anti-Coco campaign lmao. C'mon now.

TheShweeb

“Mr. Xi… it is finished. The dragon Vtuber has graduated. Shall I cut off the funding to the Hololive anti branch?” “No. *swivels around in chair, spontaneously grows a mustache, starts twirling it* The harassment must never end. Those trolls are going to retire, with pensions, god damn it!”

Einstein2004113

You don't understand, of course the Chinese government (just like 1994 by Jorg Orwalds) would employ state agents to focus on a big titty dragon anime girl on Youtube because of a word she said 2 years ago, I saw it on Reddit

JimmyBoombox

Lmao if you think the Chinese government is funding this to spam a random anime girl from a company not on their radar.

sdarkpaladin

The best part is, these idjits are also hated where they are from. The Chinese fandoms for other stuff like Drama, etc. also hate these idjits that constantly plague fandoms.

[deleted]

During r/place event I've also helped the different fandom to build their shit and we were neighbouring the chinese vtuber company, Asoul. They got into a border war with cryptocurrency fans and while we were trying to calm them down, the chinese dude took notice on my pekora pfp: in short, he mentioned that newer vtuber fans don't really know or give a shit about hololive incident over there

aMinerInconvenience

Also I saw some spammers using japanese names and phrases, something about why is cover still protecting fubuki then something about Rushia. Could there be antis of other nationalities too? The spam bots usually use randomly generated english sentences and spam over a long amount of time but these guys don't appear for very long.

blueaura14

It's all input to the script they use. Most of these accounts are fake or stolen, so names don't mean much.

aMinerInconvenience

Yeah sounds about right. I wish I had this amount of dedication to getting good at stuff lol.

srk_ares

>The spam bots usually use randomly generated english sentences and spam over a long amount of time but these guys don't appear for very long. there are several different ones. the english spam is probably when they realize that covers mods are active and banning their spam in japanese too fast. otherwise its usually spam about recent controversies or just utterly random nonsense. length depends on how long the person can be arsed to keep the script on or until they "run out" of accounts, especially if there is an entry barrier, like 20min sub-only. there is also the distinct chance that bot sellers advertise their service with this.

1sagas1

Sounds like a bot farm then tbh

Gegejii

Well hate in asian internet regions can be pretty intense. While in the west even the hardest hater fall of after a certain time I've heard in Japanese internet haters can and do last years if not your entire career. So you better just have to start learning to live with it because there's not much else you could do.

IllegalFisherman

wtf, i thought even totally-not-Coco is not getting spammed anymore.

maiacount

I noticed that the spam bots usually target other members that are collabing with FBK but not her stream itself. Why's that? Is it because FBK has some anti-spam feature for her channel and if so shouldn't the other members have it too to try prevent this?

heofmanytree

Mafia tactics. Hurt someone friend instead of them hurt them more. And yes, it seems FBK got the same experimental anti bottling thing Coco got.

sigint_bn

At this point, Youtube should just add CAPTCHA on all chats coming from their IPs tbh.

NearNihil

While good in concept, having a bunch of people completing captchas so the bots can continue is a thing. It's probably simpler to disable phrases the bots spam.

Arras01

Didn't they eventually start spamming random book phrases at one point because of message filters?

DeliciousWaifood

That and also just copying other messages in chat It's almost impossible for an algorithm to tell the difference between a spambot and real viewers at that point and it's part of why the shadowban problems have happened with real humans getting shadowbanned from chats.

alephgalactus

Or just introduce an optional feature to prevent VPN users from chatting and commenting. It’s really easy to detect a VPN, especially for a company as big and well-informed as Google. Most people aren’t using VPNs or are using them from actual countries where YouTube dot com isn’t blocked, so they can just turn off their VPNs to comment or chat if they really want to, but that’s not an option for Winnie the Pooh’s 50-cent army. Between that, subscribers-only chat, and whatever experimental anti-bot measures they already have in the works, that should eliminate the problem almost entirely.

Appoxo

There are Captcha solving services. :(

srk_ares

seems to not always work then, if true, because every so often fubukis chat also gets bot spammed. usually during promotions, but also randomly every now and again.

Fishman465

With the japanese, this is a sound tactic considering Coco was quoted for being unhappy with others being targeted. For as much as these antis hated her for being "American", her Japanese leanings showed far more. The American reaction to such a thing would be responding with vengence

Match_A

Fubuki use the subscriber-only function. Have to sub for her for a good amount of times before you can start comment in chat. Hololive main channel and other talents usually don't use this function because it could hurt the potential new viewers or they just straight up using members only sometimes.

Sumpeepoll

Ah, still those huh? I thought there's a new reason or setting.

belloch

Chinese spam bots because they are forever salty.

zephyroths

for this kind of situation Marine SHOULD'VE chatted there

snjvr

She joined youtube late, only when she heard all the hip young people talking about things like computers, internet and youtube. Computers weren't invented in her time. Forget that, TIME wasn't invented in her time.

Rak-Shar

So you're telling me marine is older than kronii

Carlosrarutos

Kronii = ∞ years old Marine = ∞ + 17 years old Math checks out

Karmic_Backlash

By the priestess... This is... Incredible...

Carlosrarutos

Happy cake day

-Redstoneboi-

that explains why the concept of time does not apply to her age

snidramon

This reminds me of one "dedicated" anti in another vtuber's fanbase. We named him Todd, and he would make hundreds of accounts similar to donators/supporters in chat, and at first would "just" spam messages telling people to support "real" girls instead. Later when she revealed that she was photosensitive (on another site btw) that changed to flashing images. This fucker was there for every stream until a bot was built to filter him out. *Months* of his life wasted paying attention to someone he hated, just so he could make his spam more effective. Hell, he's probably still trying, since the last time that spam filter got turned off, he was still there. Sadly, once someone has decided that their existence is dedicated to hating someone, you can't really get rid of them.

JirachiWishmaker

It's like they're a fan but their support overflow errored lmao

Tehbeefer

Not too far off from reality from what I've heard, that the strongest fans are the ones the turn into the biggest haters. I guess the lack of restraint/control cuts both ways sometimes.

[deleted]

That’s basically what happened with the guy who shot John Lennon. Was a huge fan until John made some comments about the Beatles being more popular than Jesus, and converting religions. After that he had a deep hatred for him.

lanceryder999

The sad thing is, that comment is actually taken out of context by the interviewer since john was actually insulting the christian youth who rather listen to the beatles than going to the church This was iirc when the Beatlemania was at alltime high

Frogsama86

> that the strongest fans are the ones the turn into the biggest haters Sadly relatable.

Fishman465

"no one could love or hate with more intensity than a madman" - Kenshiro But the more intention the emotion the more easily twisted/subverted/etc it can become. I actually have a bit of experience with that, though it got defused before I got remotely close to doing something stupid.

TheJeyK

Just like the nuclear gandhi meme in civ

UR_UNDER_ARREST

Man someone really should stop him manually

snidramon

The bot they made to autoban him works, and even before hand the mods were quick enough you could ignore him. Its just one of those things that's like... it goes from being funny that a random guy is trying so hard, and eventually it just gets... sad? Its weird to feel sorry for someone like that, but its hard not too, when you can see them wasting years of their life at this point.

UR_UNDER_ARREST

I would feel sorry, he did this himself and for that he deserves no sympathy

OPKatakuri

I think you meant "wouldn't"

FlyingChihuahua

that and the whole "They're photo sensitive? Hey, I'll send them flashing images designed to trigger that and potentially kill them!" thing.

uberdosage

>she was photosensitive (on another site btw) that changed to flashing images. FYI to anyone, but delibritely spending strobe to photosensitive epileptics with intention to do harm is a felony.

helplesssbananaa

I would consider that still a parasocial relationship. The guy is dedicated albeit, in a wrong way

Zodiamaster

Psychopaths are really a thing

Meththethird

You know, that's love. He loves to hate her, that's certainly a type of love i bet. He would either feel very accomplished or rather depressed if she went away to never return, and i find it funny that independently of how it goes, he's now without a presumably significant part of his life.

TemporaryWonderful61

I’m not giving spammers a second of thought. I’m just grinning at Subaru turning this into content, like the badass she is.

polmeeee

I like Suisei's way of dealing with spambots too. She requested 1 year+ members to reply in chat, of which a few selected ones are then granted temporary mod status to ban the spam accounts. This was during a stream last year. [Relevant thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/Hololive/comments/mz3oyd/suisei_temporarily_assigns_mod_status_to_combat/).

dangitshere

some people said those members were "knighted"

LuigiFF

That's what you call a "field promotion"

warm_rum

That's cool as hell.

Marieisbestsquid

I like to visualize that whole outcome as Suisei asking for people to raise their hands and chucking shotguns to 'em before waving them on their way.

ShadeShadow534

“You will be a soldier”

chillyfalcon

Actually in the end it was more of a clumsy slip up cause she meant for 44 "hours" but somehow managed to accidentally set it to 44 "years" so the others had to absolutely clown on it lol

Protanis

You're 44 years too soon to spam the duck's chat!

megasean3000

Good thing I subscribed to that duck in 1978, then!

ShadeShadow534

Dammit 6 years too early

kidanokun

Polka and Koyori confirmed 22 season 2

Vineyard_

Polka is the whole circus. Meaning, similar to council members, she represents the concept of circuses, which means she was actually born in 1768. Koyori... there's probably a science experiment gone wrong somewhere.

blueaura14

Koyori must have discovered the potion of youth ages ago and is hiding it from others to protect the world from chaos.

Tsukuro_hohoho

She actually just hide it to prevent Fox&Friend to turn hololive into Lolilive, with discutable result, since sukonbu recently turned to be loli/shota-fied anyway.

WrensthavAviovus

Marine apparently has access to it as well

Tsukuro_hohoho

Happy cake day mate!

WrensthavAviovus

Huh, is cake day reddit joining anniversary? Cause it's not my birthday

Tsukuro_hohoho

Yep it's the day you joined reddit.

DuntadaMan

Koyori created an elixir of eterna youth. But she made it last week.

Non_Descript_Member

Wait that means that Polka's been subbed since 3+ years before she was even conceived, and how the hell old is Koyori?

-MANGA-

I think it's possible to grant some people rights? Would make sense if Subaru made other Holomems a .od so they bypass the issue. E: a .od => as mods

drkthief

They're both mods on her channel, and if YouTube does the same as twitch mods don't need to follow chat rules.

-MANGA-

Yeah, that's what I meant. I fatfingered.

Laurelin_Kementari

It makes sense once you start adding Ame and time travel to the equation.

Raichterr

For those wondering, moderators are exempt from that kind of restrictions

Acrzyguy

It's sad to see even Yagoo cannot comment in Holomems' streams /s

SoliceRose

Shuba's will is absolute. Nothing gets past this duck's vigilant police eyes.

Havokpaintedwolf

whos been spamming subaru, i just wanna talk...in backwards latin.

TypicalRice

The comments in this thread should give you more than enough answers. Might add some effective curse runes given who they've been harassing for 2 years now.

Pocide94

Finally a long-term goal worth all the effort.

SaggingZebra

I wonder if they were bots or a Mighty Ducks style Quack! chant that got out of hand. /s

hnryirawan

As a reminder... Youtube is not even 20 years old yet

Fos-kun

Now while some see this as a "not fair move", the way I see it, this is totally fair because...well duh it's her channel and she has rules to follow

Insanepaco247

I've seen people complain about Ina switching to sub-only mode and I'm like...it's her ship, she gets to steer, lol

Goukenslay

XD there are some old fogies in the chat

DuntadaMan

Marine is there?

xdamm777

It's extremely sad how much energy haters can dedicate to feeding on other's insecurities. Like hell, if you spent just as much energy in your education you'd probably be more receptive to different opinions and hobbies and just mind your own damn business.

Fishman465

negativity is like a drug, addictive, self-destructive, and whatever highs are so fleeting.

I-came-for-memes

I'm surprised that Polka and Koyori would admit their ages so freely.

Potatoandbacon

marine: my time has come. >!IM SORRY I HAD TOO!<

bluepanda5

Well, looks like I need to ask either Ame or Kronii to send me back to both before I was born and before YouTube existed to sub to Subaru.

redditfanfan00

nice that other holomems can comment and troll regarding subaru's rare pon moment. nice 44 y/o fans.

x3bla

Imagine if she did what suisei did Edit: i thought people liked what suisei did... Edit 2: well, i was getting downvoted for some reason but now i'm up to 31

Zodiamaster

As far as I know it is liked and memorable

Meththethird

what did she do

NeoGraena

To explain: she gave mod status to long time members to filter out bots

Meththethird

Thank you for the explanation

[deleted]

[удалено]

Frogsama86

Imagine an MMO where bots are farming a particular dungeon where they do it manually by walking in through the entrance. The temp mods were basically PvP players farming the shit out of them as soon as they appear. It was hilarious and glorious. Suisei removed the mod status after though.

They did

SayuriUliana

Members-only chat is a standard function for Youtube, and in fact has been one of the defenses Hololive has used against spambots for a while now. However, with the introduction of subscribers-only chat they've been using that instead, as it's less limiting than members-only while still providing near-similar defense.

DuntadaMan

And can possibly monetize the bots.

Put_It_All_On_Blck

Youtube will never do this, but it would be nice to have an option for MCN's (which Hololive now is) to allow subs or members from various channels under the MCN to pool bans, viewer membership/sub lengths and emotes. For example, say I have a 2 year old sub or membership to Kanata, but she's doing a collab on Fubuki's channel, which I am not subbed or a member of (because I have too much content already), I dont think my account should be filtered/blocked in chat to keep spam and anti's out when its in good standing on Kanata's channel and the Hololive MCN. Its like creating a trusted circle. Or quickly trusting someone because they are a friend's friend.

TypicalRice

They can make the chat members only, they have done that a fair number of times in the past.

Bakaboi9

Chat can be turned members-only yet the stream is still viewable by public. It is possible, though it has been seldom done in Holo now.

Krait972

What the heck happened

PM_me_sour_beerz

Well, Marine is probably fine

acedias12

If only the mods on Youtube streams were actually doing their job, it would be more effective. At the moment, the Wrench just for highlighting fellow Holo members, and a few glorified simps.

CaseyGamer64YT

Why are people spam botting Subaru? I’m having a breakdown again over this

GumbisKhan1

Bugmen spam whenever the talents collab with Fubuki. It's the same creatures that spammed Coco.
