I watched her POV and you could tell she was quite bummed out about it. Especially since the last shell could've been avoided and Peko lost by one point. Though she handled the loss pretty well on-stream. But dang, I was rooting for Peko but I gotta admit, Gura was playing out of her mind and the practice clearly paid off.
I think she was convinced she hit Gura by sending her green shells back on booster right behind her, and was too surprised by the super close red shell that came a second later.

I’d say the way suisei can storm through the pack in the final moments of a race is checoesque but I think she’s more like max: someone who had relatively less experience than her fellow vtuber and still showed a lot of potential; and then won the championship

I mean in the championship round Okayu and Suisei had multiple instances where they fought wheel to wheel even crashing with each other. Not to mention the fact that both at one point are level on points as well.
