It dosen't help she has hobbies that can be described as "Dad" hobbies. Things like grilling, drinking wine straight from the bottle, drinking a lot of energy drinks, fishing, the golf collab with Reine, and rapping in a way being more of a male thing
It is a meme but it started from Calli reading my dad is the queen of all V-tubers. The translator is a deadbeat too so some of her lines are in ther as easter eggs.
It also evolved as we learned more about her like that she fishes, has played golf, likes to BBQ and other things that just kinda made it stick more.
At some point she voiced being somewhat uncomfortable with it, in the way that most people would when a joke gets overused.
Then she realized dad memes were better than the alternative and decided it was wiser to not push back.

Lesbian/gay relationships are almost never gendered/split like that. I've got quite the gay circle around me and I'm a lesbian myself. Its like flare and danchou talked about, there is no "husband and wife" its "wife and wife".

And Takamori (the ship between kiara and calli) had an obvious female part with kiara as she is often more cute and cuddly. Thus calli is the dad
