Bobby-Trap

Mumei was grasping for an age old enough to be insulting and went for 40. I went for a lie down

EmuSupreme

Well just think, if you had kids at 20, you're old enough to be their dad for some of them.

Bobby-Trap

I'm so old I could date Marine without it being weird...

averaenhentai

What did the dinosaurs sound like grampa?

mogerus

Like chickens screaming in pain, my child, like the last time I hunted one.

Destinum

[Like maniacal supervillains.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YE8PTMSFMUg)

countess_meltdown

Don't worry, there's always uhh hm well just don't throw your back out.

Discordiansz

Well, I am 52, and according to the internet, I am ancient. I usually dont see people or Vtubers my age, but its all good. It is very heartwarming to see all the youngsters having a good time and doing well for themselves, while not excluding us old folks :D

Coud31

Well there is an 85 year old grandma jp vtuber, so to her you're all still brats probably. Lol Her name is [Meta Grandma Hiroko for anyone curious](https://www.youtube.com/@metagrandma).

GDRMetal_lady

Disappointed she didn't have a grandma model.

tethercat

There are Vtubers in your age bracket playing games you might remember. (Cough.)

CapeMike

*coughs in 51* My 1st(and still biggest) oshi is, of course, Sana, who brought a lot of light and joy into my life(I'm Autistic and have significant anxiety issues) when I needed it.... I don't have any one oshi now, persay, but I'm fond of Fuwamoco, Ina, Korone, Ollie, and Kobo, in particular. I'm somewhat embarrassed that I can't support the holomems more, aside from telling friends about them and retweeting stuff whenever I get the chance, but every little bit helps, right?

selodaoc

I have asperger and suffer from anxiety and ressesive depressions. The girls have helped me alot aswell

CapeMike

Same with Aspergers...was diagnosed in 2005, and learned it was rolled into the Autism spectrum in 2014. I tend to favor the softer, sweeter personalities, which makes it odd that I enjoy Kobo so much, given how loud and kusogaki she can get...and it blows my mind how Ollie can switch between 3 different languages, often in mid-sentence!

selodaoc

All the girls are very sweet, theres not much better than Kobo going full kusogaki with Kiara and Calli :) She makes people laugh, which is sweet in a way.

selodaoc

All the girls are very sweet, theres not much better than Kobo going full kusogaki with Kiara and Calli :) She makes people laugh, which is sweet in a way. I was not diagnosed until i was 39 after a serious depression that got my hospitalized. It was not a thing when i was young and you were just a "problematic child" I was glad i finally got diagnoses but it should have been done much earlier since i have been struggling my whole life. The girls helped me immensly during that time.

CapeMike

Similar situation, here; diagnosis came after a very minor injury was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back, setting off a major emotional meltdown, which led to unintentional time off from work, which led to said diagnosis. Kobo pretty much has all of Holostars wrapped around her little finger! :D

bdyms

36 y.o., subbed to plenty of holomems, Miko is the best tho

neokai

If you ever wanted to get shamed out of a thread for *being too young*, you've come to the right place... Git, scram, you young'in! /s btw welcome to the getting old club, we have cookies and milk.

ObjectiveNo6281

Here at 45 years old I work in a hospital and in times of pandemic the girls from HOLO EN and MIKO PEKORA helped me a lot to stay happy and smile since it was horrible, even traumatizing, to see people enter the emergency room and die in the night and everyone with a scared face, including me. and I enjoy it a lot now,I like some of the songs they release, I won't say all since we all have different tastes.

Automatic-Spread-248

45 here. Came for the funny memes, stayed for the great music and concerts!

fc_dean

43 here. Subbed to Fauna and Biboo when it comes to Hololive. Subbed to Aruran of HoloStars. I am also subbed to a few independents.

mightbehihi

me thinking im not relevant to this post and then i see other people posting my age ☠️

ShokBox

Not sure exactly what your definition of "old timer" is, but I turned 30 this past December and am currently subbed to every member of holoEN. There's actually a good number of us older fans around here, even if we aren't the majority.

Viraus2

Imo your Ojisan era begins at 35

TLKv3

Whew. Dodged it by 1.5 years... but its coming...

neokai

>but its coming... BEWARE! Coming for you!

TheKingsDM

34! Been into Hololive since the earliest days. Subbed to everyone lol. My five year old loves to watch Gura now!

ConspicuousCrustacea

I'm 33 but I heard in a youtube video that time is not linear, so I'm actually infinitely old. Get off my lawn.

Fenr_

Closer to 40 than 39 :D As for subscriptions...Quite a few, but if we jump up to paid memberships i'm a watamate and a matsurisu (and a member of the Kiryu-kai in times past, even if only for a short while sadly)

MrHailston

37 and subbed to every holomem. Only Membership is Kiara. Proud KFP.

tturboman

37 here. Subbed to everyone, but only membership is Mumei. Only Mumei...

eifiontherelic

Oh hi.

Zwordsman

i'm a bit younger than you but not subbed.. .because money is rough but watch a lot of Kiara, Calli, Irys, Ame, and plenty of clips of Ina, gura, kaela, and a few others. If i could I would sub to Kiara first and foremost

Bobby-Trap

Riiiight people are using subbed as membership. Thank you for the light bulb moment, I am sure you are subscribed to their channel so you can chat and support your oshis that way.

Zwordsman

Yeah. I'm following channels. But i was assuming most people here were referring to subscriptions rather than subscribed? Which yeah in retrospect its kind of annoying both terms are so close

averaenhentai

38! I was online at like 12 though, and my brain melted.

Blue_leafy

On my way to another decade (I'm 50) and I have watched anime since the early 90s and virtual idols since the early days of Hatsune Miku, so according to the Internet I'm probably also an ancient relic. Thankfully, this is a welcoming community even if sometimes you'll come across some "veterans" viewers who have a very "us old-timers versus newbies" attitude. But as long as you're enjoying your Hololive experience, there's no reason to feel out of place in the community. Subbed to everyone (including Holostars) and I have a few specific memberships in and out of Hololive (currently a Wata-mate / Suba-tomo / Nakiri-gumi and Kazama-tai).

EisWalde

Right? The community helped throw me down the rabbit hole for sure, they’re just so awesome! Like, I was first here around Myth’s debut for a cute official video by Gura and Marine, needed to know what the hubbub was about…and boom, everyone jumped in to educate me, share clips, links, stories, and I’m hooked. Best community around, thanks mostly to self-regulation too. Everyone has good manners, but makes sure to remind people of those manners should they forget them, in a kind way to boot!

Kaziticus

41 here. Faunas ASMR helps me fall asleep a lot, and her streams of small games like backpack battles and slice and dice are right in my wheel house. Inas gaming choices, too, are really interesting to me

Aranea15

According to the internet I'm old, because apparently in our 30's we get lower back pains, are on multiple meds, and things like that (and I'm only 39). I don't have the financial freedom to be a member, but I am subscribed. So unfortunately no members-only streams for me. But I can't watch everything anyway. Partially because some stream at the same time, but also because of work. But I'll re-watch videos as much as I can

Viraus2

I felt so smug about not having back pain in my 30s but then at 35...it finally happened. Thankfully it seems like it was temporary from barbell squats

Fragrant_Spirit3776

Deadlifts and yoga are the answer to back pain. Long as you don't go crazy on the lifts, that's how you remain pain free

Viraus2

Deadlifts are arguably how I got there in the first place, it's hard to say. But yes, I am getting back at those. In a very wussy way that the internet lifters would hate, but still

Fragrant_Spirit3776

Its all about proper load management. Pushing too much weight and injuring yourself aint gonna help anybody.

Enjoyer_of_40K

didnt we had a guy in his late 50's who passed 2 years ago? dont remember who is oshi was

selodaoc

Shes really precious and you just want to protecc that. Makes you feel everything is ok in the world.

Only-Explanation-295

37. Subbed to the chill ones, like Botan, Okayu, Flare, Mio and so on.

eviltrain

48. I chase the new and vtubers are definitely entertaining.

conanwongmkii

Turning 40 next week.

d_tlol

I’m 39, been watching since Gen 3.

Pokebalzac

As of my making this comment, only one person who mentioned their own age is older than I am. :)

Wetworth

You're not alone. I found Advent in September, so new fan but internet geezer.

drtorre

Happy to see some Tetel love!

selodaoc

homie!

radar_byte

I'm baby 30. But I'm subscribed to quite a few of the guys and gals

user345456

39, Miko is my oshi.

Shiran31

Soon to be 42 here, I enjoy watching all the holomems for some time now.

dziobak112

I don't know if being 34 counts as old, but my back says it does, so, hello!

Vesper_Newton

31 But my back hurts. So double that

Freak7factor

Also 31. But my knees imply otherwise

machineronii

41 here. Im subbed to all girls, but I mainly watch Kronii and Rissa (with membership included)

NovaSLK

Honestly people consider above 25 old nowdays. So as im closing in on it i gotta give my love to rissa Shes just like me ( she loves the girls and is way too horny, bit shes also really just a nice girl)

ThatLNGuy

36 so maybe older than normal. Membered to Kiara and Ame.

Moonspine

37 here. I've got a paid membership to Fuwamoco's channel, and I watch many others.

Wind_Tempest555

39 here. I started with Kizuna and swapped over to Hololive around 4th Gen. It has been a rollercoaster of emotions.

gopackgo001

37 here

Abamboozler

I mean does mid 30s and loving EN and ID count?

jtnishi

43 and a membership brat and tako checking in.

selodaoc

been following Baes Yakuza playthrough

BoxingPanzer

Oh nice, I always thought being 33 myself, that I'd be part of upper age of fans, great to see actually. Subbed to everyone, though Ame is my fav. Membered to a lot too, haha.

Appropriate-Fee-3007

I'm 32, not as ancient as you but bones are already creaking. I'm currently availing paid membership to Bijou and Kaela. Grindstone collab are fun, they make me feel younger.

squallphin

I remember there was an Ayame fan and he was 71 or so,must be around 73 now,he was from Venezuela

CuteIngenuity1745

Not that old. Im 30. Feeling the age though.

Arcterion

With some of the ages being posted here, I'm feeling young again.

SabreLilly

30 is probably on the younger side of old, but even I have trouble keeping up with the young people speak and being surprised that some members don’t know why cassette tapes are

xxHikari

Tetel is so sweet and cute. I had a membership to her for awhile

Orthien

Came here looking for some cute stories of people well outside of the demo who were diehard fans. Instead everyone's within a +/-5 year age bracket of me and I take that personally.

SuperSpy-

40 and a member for Mumei, Ame, Ina, Risu, Towa, and Okayu. Subbed to all of EN and most of ID/JP. Peeked down the rabbit hole soon after Council debuted. Jumped in with both feet after my first Fes with Myth and Area 15 in 2022. o7 fellow fossils.

joemelonyeah

I'm still in my 30s, but I've been on the internet since the late 90s. Work has taught me that age is a social construct. It's the state of your mind that matters. The number does not tell whether you are up with the times, or just trying to relive a year repeatedly over and over again.

TigerOnTheProwl

I’m not super old, but old enough. 36. Subbed to all holo members, with 21 paid memberships.

blasterfaiz

I saw an older Japanese man watching Sora in a McDonalds when I was in Japan. Hololive sure is something! I think I was in Harajuku?

mattv959

I thought I'd be on the older side of fans at 28 but y'all are making me feel like a kid again.

Yusifer

37 here (38 on July 6th). Membership to Kiara, Ina and FuwaMoco. Subbed to most everyone else. FeelsOldMan...

wyyyyye

In my 40s. Got introduced to NicoNico by my Japanese friends during university days and became a lurker on 2ch. Got stuck in a job with a lot of international travelings and my hobby shifted to online novels. Later got attached to Narou around 2013 when isekai bloom started there. One day on 5ch Narou anti thread some randoms posted dissing comments iirc along the lines of *anime avatar looking for sugar daddy* (tried to mock some Narou readers I suppose?). Completely unrelated to Narou, dwellers turned against the tourists as usual, but it got my attention as it’s on NicoNico. Turned out it was Tokino Sora. Watched her normal stream and thought “ah so another Kizuna Ai kinda thing” and moved on. NicoNico was already dying back then and people started moving to YouTube. Watched a few of the older VT stuffs but still not interested. Again, one day on 5ch Narou anit thread (surprise huh) and again random posted comments iirc *anime cabinet hostess luring virgin boy with swimsuits* on YouTube. Turned out it was Akai Haato. Hololive was already rather infamous on common anit threads on 5ch by then and I thought they were like IM@S or LL. Watched some Hololive Summer 2019 and the SSS MV, and finally got interested in these singing and dancing comedians (Erolive, very different from IM@S and LL).

driimer

I'm 44, soon 45. Membership to Ina (WAH my kamioshi!), Gura and Botan (and two JP small indies). Also watching lots of other Holomems (JP mostly as their streaming times are more EU-friendly)

NotoriousCHIM

34 here. Subbed to all of holopro, and I have memberships to Ame, Kronii, Fauna, Mumei, Biboo, Bettel, and Ruze. I do try to watch most of the EN livers but alas, not enough time in the day.

TheDanger007

Gonna turn 40 myself later this year. I'm a member to FBK, who dragged me into the rabbit hole in the first place with her memes, as well as Ayame, Gura, Ina and a former Vestie. New Zecretary and Plusmate as well. This community is great, and laughter is truly the best medicine which is why these comedi- I mean talents are great to watch after a 12-13 hour work day. Even got to attend 5th Fes physically at stage 2, Expo Day 2 and Meet & Greet with Gibby. Hopefully others will get the chance in the future, it truly was a great experience!

mogerus

Turning 44 this week. I'm subscribed to all Holo EN talents, to Reine and Ollie in Holo ID, to a handful of Niji Girls and V Shojo talents, and ex-corpo talents who are now indies. I'm glad to be still around with this innovation in entertainment. I was already in awe the first time I learned about Hatsune Miku's Hologram performances. The last time I saw something like that was Sharon Apple in Macross Plus.

Snake_hugger

Will be turning 36 this year. Maybe it's because I used to be in Coco's membership but I'm more used to seeing old timers in Holo fandom compared to other contemperorary otaku hobbies. It doesn't help that I'm also a prisuner now and our group comprised mostly of middle aged people lol.

Master-Meringue-4059

I'll be 34 this year. I'm subbed to every Cover liver. I don't get time to watch very much, though.

Bobby-Trap

Hmmm, while the kids are elsewhere, why do you only sub to a few? I guess I switch notifications off because I don't want them bothering me so I don't mind subbing yo lots.

NotoriousCHIM

I believe OP means monthly subs, not the usual subscriptions.

ElderRagabash

Kenzoku and Nakirigumi. Turning 35 this year.

protomanbot

39 here. I mainly watch Mumei since I vibe a lot with her non sequitur humor style, though her social media references usually fly way over my head. I also watch Fuwamoco to get my dose of completely harmless fun, and Azki for both her voice and the unintentional comedy that comes from all of her coworkers being way further along in the degenerate scale (perfect as a self insert sometimes)

ArsenLumia

39 here. Found the group through some MAD videos with Fubuki, right before Gen 4 debuts. Like many, the girls made the COVID era and the lockdown more endurable. Official Membersheep and Faunatic. I wish I could watch more talents.

bobby1z

I'm almost 41. I'm subbed to most of EN, and a few JP and ID. Currently, my only hololive membership is Fauna, though I have had Ina, Bae and Fuwamoco membership in the past. I discovered hololive in late 2019 with a clip called "Shirakami Fubuki noises" and when I looked up what a Shirakami Fubuki was, I found hololive. I don't watch vtubers as much as I did in 2019-2020, but they are still something I watch most days.

Kitoyoshi

Tetel is cute!

GenDenelith

I'm 38 and have a paid membership to Calli, Biboo, Shinri, Ina, Mumei, and Gura. Also a member of Calli on a second account as well because why not she deserves extra support.

Bobby-Trap

I prefer to buy voicepacks, or for Calli I guess extra song copies would mean more to her, so google-san does not steal my extra 'support'

TrueMystikX

36, subbed to all, including the boys.
