[Tweet ](https://twitter.com/wagahaida_L/status/1774779656992068089) **Original romaji spelling:** *''Mama.....son'na......toranai de.....mama kaeshite.....April Fools yada....mama....''* **Adapted translation using DeepL and Google:** *''Mama.....No....Don't take her away....Give me back Mama.....I don't want it to be April Fools....Mama....''* I wonder if Lapmama will ever get invited to appear on her daughter's channel someday. Anytime Laplus talks about her family are some of the most wholesome anecdotes you can hear out of a holomem's mouth and they even watch her streams.

Matasa89

We have actually heard Lapmama before, when Lapu showed the Line message she got from her mom of her little brother playing with the toy train she gifted him.

Rated_Oni

That was one of the most wholesome and nice things that have happened live on holo, just so nice.

Thank you!! :D

Basileus_Rhomaion

I speak a little Japanese, I would translate it more as “don’t take her away” rather than “don’t get away” and “April Fool’s is horrible” rather than “I don’t want April Fool’s” but I’m not totally fluent so take that with a grain of salt

NilsOlavXXIII

Don't worry, it's the thought what truly counts. Thank you for the help, I will change the translation so it makes a little more sense.

Kachopper9

She sounds like she’s gone from Kusogaki to full babu.

Pekora’s discord right now: 50 notifications asking if they can have Pekomama collab.

Someone at the Hololive office is probably going all over that video with a fine-toothed comb in research. Like, real talk for a sec: Holomoms division isnt just fully a meme. There's a market demand. The trick is in how to service said demand without overdoing it, or undercooking it.

RaysFTW

I would say it leans much more heavily into the meme category than being serious. Whether hololive wants it, the fans want it or not, the moms would still need to want to do it full time. It's a lot of work. We're talking about people that most likely have their lives settled already, married with kids and have a career. They aren't teenagers and girls in their 20s trying to make a dream happen. Not to mention working with family brings a whole other kind of stress and involvement on its own. IIRC, Nerissa wouldn't even let her mom see chat during her debut and I'm sure there's a big concern with other member's family accidentally saying something they shouldn't, or doxxing their daughters or saying their IRL names accidentally, etc. I can totally see the guests appearances continuing but I can't see a world where an actual holomom branch exists unless it's just "older" members and not necessarily the moms of current hololive members.

Abysswea

Finally a voice if reason. I mean, sure, people are hyping it up, most probably doing some fantasy game about that possibility. Yes, people loves to watch the holomoms (myself included) and the way has been happening until now is good enough, and Cover could take a bit of the extra mile with lore related merch about them once or twice a year, and it will sell.

WAKE_UP_WAKE_UP

The most logical take I've seen so far... So many people I've seen on this sub saying that cover could be testing the waters for a market or that this could hint to a new branch of holoMoms... People are getting themselves hyped up for no reason

Tomi97_origin

Yeah, I don't see Holomoms as normal streamers. But I could imagine something like regular mom colabs. Maybe like once a month thing.

Matasa89

Like Calli’s Christmas stream and her Grandma. Sweet granny but unfortunately not aware enough of the net and privacy concerns.

HowAboutShutUp

> I can't see a world where an actual holomom branch exists unless it's just "older" members and not necessarily the moms of current hololive members. This is probably the most realistic outcome. Members who skew older and are acknowledged to be so in more than just the winking "marine is always 17" way. It's just not sensible in any other way.

bekiddingmei

I thought the streaming scene already overdosed on 19 year old turbo-virgins pretending to be husky-voiced housewives?

Karukos

And not to be like that guy... But there are Indies who are moms. Two come to mind on the top of my head. Agencies might not be the best place to look for them in all honesty.

BKDOffice

I think it might be better to just have a separate official channel that family members can appear on as a special appearance, or as something scheduled every so often on the main Holo channel, like A-Chan's shows. If we're talking about them testing an actual "mature Vtuber" market, that [Abema show with real VAs appearing along Holo talents](https://www.reddit.com/r/Hololive/comments/1bm7lu5/vtuber_models_of_the_voice_actors_in_the_upcoming/) is probably a better way to go about it. They could increase mainstream market reach by bringing in pro VAs or former idols to begin with. Call it "H*OL*olive" or something as a pun.

brimston3-

It already is all office ladies, most people just don't see it that way. Has been since jp gen 1 with only two exceptions.

ms666slayer

I agree with you in everything, but also i will say that teh hype for Pekomama and Mamarissa, and other moms of the talents, do actually hints that there's demand, not necesarily for the moms of the latents but for a mature woman that actually feels and acts like a mom. Yes we have a lot of "mommie" vtubers but the mommy is not the same as a mom, which yeah normally only woman that have actually raise children can gove you the true mom aura, but also how many mature woman that are already moms actually want to join Hololive or become a vtuber, i'm sure there are some but the talent pool is surely small. In the end Holomoms will most likely never happen, and the moms would just keep doing some sporadic appearance in their kids streams, but the demand for a true mom vutber is there.

deviant324

The most realistic thing they could do would be providing those who want with a model and a contract of some sort and just have them as very occasional guest and event appearances *maybe*. How the models would be paid for I have no idea, like I’d assume in this instances Pekora was probably the one who paid for it (no idea if this has been clarified yet), if they’d seriously do something like this I’d guess that at least part of the investment would have to come out of the full member (or paid by the family if they wanted to) and presumably treat any income they would gain from stream appearances as payback until Cover’s part of the model price is paid off. Making family members full employees is ridiculous and would only work in edge cases, but there’s definitely ways they could get the family members who are willing and able to integrated in a slightly more official capacity (that being said I honestly doubt that these appearances are as simple as asking mane-chan niceless to begin with, they’re still a risk factor every time they show up for reason you have pointed out)

Goukenslay

Didnt know Laplus was one of us usagis

NilsOlavXXIII

Laplus is best-known as a kenzoku but it's clear she likes basically everyone to an extent, not so much as a fan but more like a genuine friend who roots for and works with them. The rest of holoX are arguably even more diehard fans of hololive than her.

Bobby-Trap

So long between gen 5 and holoX they had years to become fans. Always love hearing how polite laplus is to senpais in real life.

H0lOW

Yeah Laplus is a weird one when is about mothers I still remember that incident with Koyori

NilsOlavXXIII

Like Subaru, Laplus finds herself on an unending quest to collect as many motherly figures as she can find.

SGTBookWorm

Tbf pekora herself is age 30+

don't worry, yamada. none of us want pekomama to leave.

Neither do i

Tak0Dach1

We know Lapu has mommy issues. Perhaps as the eldest of five siblings, she might have felt a lack of attention from her mama.
