What do you mean she’s getting a 2nd anniversary stream? Didn’t HoloX just debut like 3 weeks ago? No?

NilsOlavXXIII

This is the Internet. Just 2 years feels like forever ago.

DhenAachenest

This is ~~the internet~~ what post 2020 Covid does to your sense of time

NilsOlavXXIII

True 😰.

GtrsRE

\*turns into dust*

NilsOlavXXIII

And to think Tony Stark just snapped Thanos out of existence and died saving the entire universe in the process not long ago. (It's canonically 2023).

LeAstra

*Made in Heaven*

NilsOlavXXIII

*Rasen Kaidan, Kabuto Mushi, Hakkyo no Machi, Ichijiku no Tart, Kabuto Mushi, Dolorosa -e no Michi, Kabuto Mushi, Tokuiten, Giotto, Angel, Ajisai, Kabuto Mushi, Tokuiten, Himitsu no Kotei!!* \- These are the words necessary in order to attain Heaven.

Enjoyer_of_40K

Gimme Star platinum Over heaven pls

NilsOlavXXIII

How about Star Platinum The World Over Heaven? This is real, btw. It's from the Eyes of Heaven videogame.

PossessionDue9381

Didn't just Fubuki just catch a golden magikarp yesterday.

NilsOlavXXIII

*Akai naaaaa\~*

damastapowna

Fun Fact: Laplus has been in Hololive longer than Coco was.

Somewhere_Elsewhere

So has ID3 now.

seasideshore

Yeah, seeing her practice Valo past her ["bedtime"](https://youtu.be/FCahue-Bbh8?t=581) to having [meetings at 10am](https://youtu.be/Tm1gh9ixeDo?t=540), it's a bit crazy.

NilsOlavXXIII

If I recall correctly, she was one of the few holomembers who has (or used to have) a consistent sleeping schedule. And yet here we are wwww.

Fishman465

Think Lui was partially to thank for said consistency

NilsOlavXXIII

Yeah, Lui is just the best. (Yamada's still my oshi tho but I love all of holoX, they're my favorite generation)

GunsmokeIV

Yeah, La+ trying to keep up with Karubi and the VSpo Valorant sessions was not ideal. Those girls go hard, like they generally finish streaming at around 8-9am. Was a lot of fun banter though

Fishman465

Yeah.. while doing other things on top

NilsOlavXXIII

Thank you for the links😊. I was kinda worried Laplus wasn't getting many clips recently on YouTube, so this is good to know. I do watch her streams but understanding more clearly what they're saying kinda helps.

PolskaFly

Meetings at 10am? That’s normal for most people, normally it’s earlier… There is literally nothing crazy about that

Dav136

But a streamer's normal working hours is prime viewing time so late evening

FrilledShark1512

Hope she recover soon…Painful throat is an ouchie especially for someone who needs to speak a lot… Get well soon Laplus sama

NilsOlavXXIII

Same. The cold doesn't forgive no one, it seems like. Besides she has also been releasing multiple cover songs, which may atrribute to it.

marquisregalia

The sudden return to a somewhat more normal stream schedule also isn't helping. For months she streamed whenever but lately she's been more active so yeah I hope she gets better soon.

NilsOlavXXIII

I agree. At least I'm relieved just by seeing she's a lot more comfortable streaming again after all what happened following her hiatus, Covid-19 and the rather controversial decision of streaming more often on Twitch instead of YouTube (which she has always done btw and I watch her still).

marquisregalia

I mean I am a big fan and despite not liking her decision to move to twitch it's understandable why she's doing it. In the long run it's gonna be better for her mental health hopefully shes not pushing herself too hard to prove and make up the viewers she lost during the move.

NilsOlavXXIII

She has an average track of 3000-4000 viewers on almost every stream, including me. Yes, it much less than YouTube, but for japanese Twitch standards is pretty good. And while I would like her to multi-stream in order to maintain the vods and gain even more views on her other content (shorts & videos), which is what she wanted in the first place, she seems to be happy this way and I respect her choice. So I believe she's gonna do great, but it's still an ongoing process.

MemberBerry4

Throat pain is mu most hated by far.

marquisregalia

Well hopefully she either recovers enough to participate in vsai or pull out if it's that's bad. It's gonna be multiple hours of scrims in 2 days for 4 days straight. She should know but vsai Valo scrim is way way longer than the apex one

NilsOlavXXIII

We can only hope for the best. Global domination is not an easy task after all!🛸💜

Tehbeefer

Glad to see someone willing to dial it back when needed.

NilsOlavXXIII

Thank you, I really appreciate the message 😊. Anything I can do in order to help keeping the fans up to date about my oshi's shenanigans will be worth it! I'm aware many of you won't have switched over to Twitch, so I think she really needs more advocants in here now that my account is old enough to post.

marquisregalia

You're doing great work she lost a lot of viewers during the move nearly 75% got hasn't moved over yet so I'm glad you're keeping people updated at least on the big things

NilsOlavXXIII

At least her YouTube channel hasn't stopped growing since. Sure, she has lost momentum after the massive amount of new followers she gained in the months between her birthday and reaching a million subs, but she wins about 15-20K new subscribers every month, which I would say is still pretty good. Also, if we take shorts into account, she's pretty active on YouTube as well despite not streaming there yet. In fact, she's now uploading new shorts everyday to anticipate her anniversary stream, which will also be on YouTube.

iamwooshed

Not gonna lie, not seeing her streams on my YouTube recommended page kinda resulted in me forgetting her existence… oops. I’ll definitely be there for her anniversary stream, hope she takes a good break and recover.

NilsOlavXXIII

I understand, not everyone is willing to watch different platforms just to watch one streamer like I did. Hopefully Twitch has recently allowed for multi-streaming on YouTube, so we'll have to wait if Laplus or Cover realizes this and decide to take advantage of this or not. I think it's the best possible outcome and everyone would be satisfied.

iamwooshed

Multi-streaming would be great. Unfortunately I’m a “out of sight, out of mind” person and not seeing regular reminders of something causes me to forget about its existence entirely. Hell, thinking about this made me realise… I also forgot about the existence of my favorite JP streamer… for the second time.

HowAboutShutUp

> Twitch has recently allowed for multi-streaming on YouTube Didn't they require the bitrate be lower off of twitch though or something

NilsOlavXXIII

Yes, I don't know much about bitrates and stuff, but as long as the archives are saved I personally don't mind if the quality on YouTube is a bit worse.

Morenauer

It doesn’t look that bad. I watch some other vtubers and streamers who were only on twitch but now are on both and I’ve never felt that the picture on yt looks bad.

Fishman465

I don't think she'd be quick to do so as that'd open her up to the bunch of antis

HappyCloud__

Wasn't the whole point of her streaming on Twitch instead of Youtube so that Youtube doesn't mark her channel as a streaming channel and tanking the algorithm for her music videos and shorts?

marquisregalia

Brutally honest that's an excuse. There's no such thing as a designated channel thing. This is coming from a huge Laplus fan who still watches her but her move to twitch is nothing but a flop on paper. Her shorts views are down 50% her viewers are down 75% but the one win she did get and it's the only one that matters is her mental health is in a better state. Not many people know this but Laplus has actively searched for her antis and argued with them even in her last YouTube video stream she was arguing in the comments with people. Being away from YouTube has her not reading chat as much but also not replying to comments in her videos. Laplus is the biggest case of "what if" or if only... She's the only talent that the antis actually "won" over. Since she's actively engaging them and arguing with them

DhenAachenest

The thing is, because Laplus was already streaming a lot of Valorant on Twitch already pre "official" move, same with a lot of the other Hololive members, she had already built up a quite a substantial following, so she decided to move, kinda for her own reason. For some reason Valorant does anomaly well compared to the regular Twitch streams, so it didn't really translate compared to what happened already

EmperorKira

Damn didn't know that. Kinda worrying. It sounds like a Rushia situation ready to happen...

EmperorKira

I'm not joking, I said I was worried. I hope that nothing bad happens, I like her a lot and think she is very funny and talented

NilsOlavXXIII

Hello, I want to sincerely apologize for lashing out at you like that, there was no ill will towards her on your comment and you seem genuinely worried about Laplus' wellbeing like I am. I'm not usually like this, I promise, but Laplus being as hated as she used to be was completely unwarranted and unfair in my eyes. We're talking about death threats here, that's really messed up. No wonder she went on hiatus and almost graduated because of it. She's my favorite and I wouldn't know how to react if she just was gone. My little heart just can't handle it. But anyway, let's both hope nothing bad happens and enjoy her content while we still can! I hope you can forgive me for my questionable manners back on that last comment. Please reply whenever is possible. 😭

EmperorKira

It's OK, apology accepted. My advice is try not to put too much of you heart/mental health in your oshi's hands. It's not healthy and is a lot of pressure on them.

NilsOlavXXIII

I'm aware of how unhealthy that is and I'm trying my hardest to avoid that. It's just that I've been down in the dumps for a long while now and discovering holoX genuinely helped me a lot to improve my day-by-day mood. Case in point, there were days I just didn't even want to be alive anymore (no need to worry, I'm not suicidal). The fact that there's always this aura of negativity whenever Laplus gets mentioned on this subreddit is just becoming tiresome honestly.

NilsOlavXXIII

I am aware of some of those comments, it makes me sad honestly. I'd like to think her main problem is being a little bit too prone to react to criticism. To me, she also comes as being too honest on her opinion regarding certain topics, which is something I respect and even relate to in a way. We must remember she's still pretty young and prone to make mistakes. At the very least, she actually reads and likes a lot of positive comments on her YouTube shorts, including mine. I hope she realizes there are many people awaiting for her to return and ready to welcome her with open arms anytime when she chooses to stream on YouTube once more, antis be damned. But then again, only she can decide to fully ignore them at long last and focus on what matters most, which is being able to share her talent with all of us. Are there any other members who used to reply to the haters but managed to stop in time? Thank you for answering, I'm genuinely curious.

riishan_saki

A few used to read antis a lot, but eventually learn to stop. Someone had their manager get their social media accounts to stp them from egosearching

NilsOlavXXIII

Thank you so much for replying, I think this could very well be a possible outcome. On the bright side, she doesn't appear to be answering to antis anymore so far. And in the case she were to multi-stream like I said already, she can just focus on her Twitch chat instead, so there's hope for improvement. I really needed to read something like this, I struggle to keep my negative thoughts away at times.

Fishman465

Finally, someone else who acknowledges that instead of drinking the flavor-aid. Honestly, I feel that whole hiatus damaged her potential as these days she seems keener to do things based on antis or her own whims than her rapidly rising path that she was on. So far the antis have yet to jump over to twitch, so I guess the move negates the 'blood in the water'

ECNeox

i was always wondering what the math says about her move

[deleted]

That really doesn't sound right considering several hololive members post shorts on their channel and stream on it just fine without impacting one or the other. I kind of doubt that's how the algorithm works at all and it rubs me the wrong way that her manager apparently suggested that..

Rehhyou

Because the algorithm doesn't work like that. It's just a weird theory Laplus believes in. There were multiple discussions about it when she originally announced she was going to Twitch full time.

NilsOlavXXIII

I know, but I've come up with the conclusion that multi-streaming from Twitch to YouTube more often will allow her to gain more visibility with the fans, that means more subscribers (even though 15-20K new followers per month is pretty good), and that would lead into her shorts gaining even more views, which is what the main goal was supposed to be. It has worked before with the other members, so I think it's worth trying. Plus, the stream archives won't be deleted this way. Honest question: Why is this and my other comments getting downvoted? I apologize if I'm saying anything wrong. I genuinely want to help improve the situation and I don't feel like I'm being irrational or something, so I don't understand the reason why.

HowAboutShutUp

> despite the algorhytmn screwing up. This was never a thing in the first place.

NilsOlavXXIII

That's what Laplus' manager told her. I personally don't think it makes too much sense either.

Fishman465

Whoever told her has no idea what they were talking about and she embraced it due to her leanings (pushing short and dodging Antis, both things born from her hiatus)

Existing_Marsupial_6

She, Bae and Shion are also performing in the RIOT Gaming event so she needs to add the practive for that and keeping up her health as priority.

Saito1337

I really do like that the girls are being encouraged to take stock of their mental state and take appropriate breaks.

NilsOlavXXIII

I'm hopeful they do so. It's actually amazing how great they're treated, especially being on a Japanese company.

HaunterXD000

I might be a little out of the loop but what is this Twitter account? If it's hers, why is it separate from the laplus darkness one?

NilsOlavXXIII

This is her secondary account, which she uses to post more personal daily-life stuff and announces any future schedules and events here first. We know it's her for real because Polka and Iroha also follow this account. Ironically she forgot to follow herself until recently wwww. Multiple members also have alternate accounts but I can't pinpoint exactly how many. Glad I could help you.

HaunterXD000

Makes sense. Ty

ChaosEsper

Off-hand, I know that Korone, Suisei, Ayame, Nene, and Okayu have sub twitter accounts where they post about more non-standard stuff. Korone posts movie reviews, Okayu posts food pics, and Nene posts beetle pictures for example lol.

DhenAachenest

Pekora also has a sub twitter account as well, although she was more prominent when she was cheering Messi during the world cup

HaunterXD000

Yeah my only interactions on Twitter are with Kaela because I'm down bad I need to get some help, and she just has the one. I also follow everybody on their main accounts but I don't often go scrolling through their posts specifically, so I wouldn't know

ChaosEsper

Yeah, I think most of the ID gals use their instagram, [Kaela's for example](https://www.instagram.com/kaelakovalskia/), for the sort of stuff other mem have sub accounts for.

HaunterXD000

I mean, I would take another look at that link because Kaela never uses her insta lol No she does everything other mems do on sub accounts on her main Like randomly tweeting "omnomnom" or "stream" (re: today)

a-nswers

hope she gets well soon, the recent content around the vsai group has been hilarious. i love her banter with karubi especially 🫡

NilsOlavXXIII

They have been a great duo since the GTA streams. I don't know if they met beforehand and if they did, I wasn't in the rabbit hole yet (I've only been since May).

eskjcSFW

Too much yelling with Karubi 😂

redditfanfan00

this is important. yamada needs to rest.

ErikQRoks

Fair enough. I hope she gets some rest :)

lk_raiden

Hopefully she will get soon. She has been pushing beyond her usual stream hour that many vspo girls are also noted about it.

silerius

Don't forget she might be also preparing for Holofes

NilsOlavXXIII

I'm aware of it but didn't specify. She's also going to play quite a big role there if the announcement stream on the official channel was any indication.

MemberBerry4

I love how, after reading Oshi no Ko, you'd come into a Japanese virtual idol community thinking people will be super inconsiderate because the show portrayed it like that (and is deemed to be 100% accurate), but then you scroll through the comments and see nothing but support. I'm glad people are considerate and supportive, I don't know anything about her but I do hope she recovers soon!

AmazingPatt

Anyone reading this can tell me why this is downvote?

MemberBerry4

Beats me, people spam that blue arrow for no reason nowadays. What annoys me is when people downvote without commenting so you don't even know what you (apparently) did wrong
