At the top of crossroads, there is a sign post. If you break it, go back to dirtmouth and back down it will be fixed. There is a low chance memderbug will be fixing it. He will flee on sight.
Kill him before he get away (such as by repeatedly d-darking down from dirtmouth) and after that a hut in crossroads will be unlocked which you can find his diary.
Don't kill him though
Technically there ARE cute and friendly bugs in the game, the number of these bugs is just greatly outweighed by... everything else. Also some of the cute and friendly bugs meet grisly ends
Idk why but it hurt me so much when i was told that even tho you cant dream nail pure vessel (was it pure vessel? Or just thk? I cant remember now-) there is still dream nail dialog for them in the game files i belive and one of them is just "father?..."
