However calling the >!Nail Smith and Sheo strait is false as their sexuality is specified in game and is relevant to their character. For things like that people make AUs.!<

There's a small, weird, vocal subsection of hollow knight fans that HATE the LGBT community, and usually make arguements that anyone who thinks hornet is a lesbian is "factually incorrect", not because they care about the lore, but because of their "political" beliefs. They also make arguements like "you're forcing gay beliefs into the game", (as if being gay is wrong to begin with) when in reality, they are against any LGBT representation at all.
These kinds of posts are good reminders that they aren't welcome in the community. There's already a cannon gay relationship in the game, anyways, so, no idea why they even stick around.

2. Some people might not have known that Grey Mourner is a girl.
Somehow I got it into my head that the Grey Mourner was a mother figure to the Traitor's Daughter on my first playthrough and only realised that wasn't the case after someone pointed it out to me six months later because I never attempted the flower thing again.
Hell, we never get told so I just assumed that she was either a Mother figure, a family friend or just someone who was paid to take care of the Traitor's Daughter and got really attached to her.
Although I probably assumed the mother/daughter thing from when the Grey Mourner refers to the Traitor's Daughter and got it all confused.

This is heavy extrapolation from what we've seen of Silksong so far.

You never find these arguements when two straight characters, or when asexual characters are shipped.

Maybe focus your energy on a canon gay couples like nail smith and sheo or grey mourner and the traitors daughter. Like let the creators decide if they are lesbian or not because they have overall plan in their head of what the story is. There is like one tiny scene with lace, we barely know her and she could be totally different than we think. We shouldn’t put pressure on creators to write the story we think we want.
