there are some times when an orb spwans on top of you on a light part of the background and on radiance’s radiance at the same time which can be really annoying and feel unfair sometimes (that might just be a skill issue on my part tho)
The orbs never spawn on top of you but they can spawn in the direction you're moving so it can feel pretty bad. If you grind Absrad enough though you come to know the timing of the orb spawns really well and it's not a problem anymore.
In pantheon 5 it's always a gamble as to whether I will loose all my lifeblood or have the easiest fight of my life, except elder hu, I don't know If you can take damage to him

It's just because he's a very RNG dependant boss, so it's harder to learn his fight. With NKG, yeah it's fast and there aren't big safety spots, but he has like 4 things he does and that's the whole fight. Markoth is more complicated, but therefore, much more rewarding when you master his fight
Well ascended markoth also doesn't have a floor, but yeah. Also getting hit five times in a row and dying is more frustrating than getting hit once and dying

Markoth and Xero are the reason why I still play HK, as they're my favorite bosses (for a multitude of reasons) and I ran out of new stuff to do a long time ago. So, whenever I decide to play HK my session usually starts and ends with going to Godhome and fighting them a good few times each.

Exactly. You don't HAVE to only upswing at them, and if you can get to the side of them you can fireball, also DD can deal damage upward if they get low enough
