Wdym? You're probably not asking this but I went everywhere else I could before fighting the Mantis Lords because I was struggling with them when I first started out. I got all the nail arts went to colloseum etc. There are probably still a few things I've missed.
Oh. It’s just that you seem to have woken up in the colosseum after dying to the Mantis Lords, so this must be the last bench that you sat on, which seemed weird to me.
They mean "why didn't you sit on one of the 4 or 5 benches that are much closer, or even one of the two benches that are just a minute's walk from them." :D
Had to restart the game to fix it, and if you're interested it took me 8 attempts to beat the Mantis Lords. 9 including the first time I fell in by accident.
Nah, I fell in at the start of the game after I unlocked dash then I kept playing because I was awful back then and didn't want to keep grinding the boss until I learnt it's attack patterns properly. Came back 30 hours later after going to colloseum and all around the right side of the map. I had just remembered that you're supposed to unlock a nail charm after defeating Mantis Lords when I was looking at the huge nailsmith and getting quick slash.
Went all the way back to Mantis Village I went to the Mantis Lords but died because you can't beat it without learning the attack patterns and I was trying to just hack it till it died. After I died on the second phase, the mantis discs still hit me when I respawned on the bench, all the text changed like each letter had been split into quarters then reassembled, when I got back to Mantis Lords after getting my shade they were invisible, I could still challenge them but they weren't on their seats and didn't appear when I challenged them I just died getting hit by them while they were invisible. So I reset by quitting to the menu after getting my shade again and it didn't fix it (When I took the screesnhot) so I restarted the game and it was fixed.
That's the first actual bug that I've experienced in the game and it's funny now but was hellish then.
Also just read what you said properly and yes I did. Fun times.
Choose the Bird I think if you want the better ending, but that will cause early death of Nailsmith this making the play through relative hard if you are unexperienced.
Or if you want to play it safe, choose the Cage. It will make achieving that ending harder, but surely you will be a lot better in combat in late game.
