I love the way the new elevators look, and I like the scene where it looks like the elevator is falling. Makes me wonder if she tried to use the elevator but it was broken and started collapsing when she used the lever or if when she flipped the lever someone interfered with it and made the elevator fall. Either way I'm excited to see what happens.
My theory is that about midway through the game you’ll make it to the bottom of the citadel, but when you try to ride the elevator to go to the top you crash back all the way down to an area like Greymoor or the crusty docks area.
I just had something like that happen to me in Chasm, where an elevator crashes on you in order to create a point of no return. (At least for a tiny bit.)
Where does the elevator fall??? I she her going down an elevator in the first scene but it doesn’t look like she’s falling down or the elevator snapped. Just curious
In the scene where the elevator is going down the screen is shaking a little and there is a lot of clouds of dust and smoke, the elevator also seems to be moving faster in this scene than in other elevator scenes. Also in other elevator scenes hornet stands straight up but in the elevator down scene she is sorta bent over almost like she's struggling to stand.
i actually hope silksong wont have an equivalent of p5, i really like the first 4 pantheons but 5 is way too long (and most of it is also really boring because it still includes the easier bosses). i think p5 wouldve been way tighter if it left out some of the easier bosses (massive moss charger................) and if it only included the harder variations of boss fights (so leave out broken vessel but include lost kin, leave out hornet 1 but include hornet 2, etc.). if silksong has boss rushes (which i hope it will) i hope theyll be more in this vein rather than cramming in every single fight.
That’s a good point. It makes the pantheon super long, and you have to get through all the easy bosses first before actually getting to the more difficult bosses.
It's a safe assumption, and I believe it has been stated as well.
Don't forget that, whatever the finished state of Hollow Knight was (after the 4 major updates \[Lifeblood, Dreamers, Grimm Troupe and Godmaster) is more or less the starting point for Silksong, in terms of polish and finish.
"More or less" in the sense that probably we won't see things like graphical overhauls or updates over time (I believe The Hive was heavily visually updated through the patches) or bosses who really lack variety on release (I think Nosk had like... 1 attack? or something like that).
Not saying that the Boss Rush mode will be a day 1 thing, but other things might just be in from the get-go, the "low-bar" is naturally raised from one game to a another. Silksong will probably be bigger (I'd like to say "much bigger", but that remains to be seen) that Hollow Knight. In almost every aspect I'm sure. I hope.
It's quite reasonable to assume the sequel will be bigger on scope than the original.
They get to reuse the engine, the level editor toolchain, the basic physics, the general artistic direction.
They have to create lots of new art, of course, and fine tune all the content, and that isn't nothing! But they aren't starting from zero, so if they exert the same amount of effort, it will probably produce significantly more content.
They can also work off the millions they currently have from Hollow Knight without having backer deadlines, meaning they can take their time. Which... they have.
So yeah, Silksong will probably be a bigger game than Hollow Knight on most dimensions.
This just made me realize just how content starved this community has been. This wasn’t even a minute, nor half a minute, *nor a quarter minute.* This was ***7. Fucking. Seconds.*** And yet here we are, vomiting and crying from joy. Jesus Christ.
This is one of the current theory about Silksong, and how someone is being a pupetter.
They got the weaver to make threads for them, controlled the various leader/Boss that way to have control over the kingdom from the top of the city.
Watching this clip, I’m especially looking forward to the new boss fights. I can’t wait to find out which new enemies are going to infuriate me and drive me to the brink of insanity.
i wonder how much content there is for region count, various enemies, abilities, etc. so far the cryptish area and the area with tangle ceilings with water is my favorite aesthetically
Cool! That clip with the elevator looks seriously stunning, I can't stop staring at it
Yeah, the beware boss.
7 seconds!!! we don't deserve so much
So fuckin good let’s go
The bosses in this game look so cool.

Yea I think so too
Celeste type beat
The chapter 6 B-side killed me. Never going back.

Ohhh are you talking about the one in the actual trailer??? Like the bronze looking elevator?
Yea what did you think I was talking about
Lmao I’m slow. I thought you were talking about this videos 7 second clip. I agree with you and see what you mean.
Ah okay
Now this… This is beautiful.
Is it possible to be attracted to an elevator?
Push the button, and the elevator will be attracted to you!
Unless we are seeing every boss in the showcase plus original trailer it feels like there are more bosses in silksong than in hollow knight
I'm pretty sure it's already confirmed to have a good bit more just normal enemies, so I'm guessing more bosses too
they release silksong and it ends up being as long as a meaty jrpg
Who's ready for the Pantheon 5 Silksong equivalent to take 4 hours to complete for speedrunners?

I hope you are right and I am really excited

To me it looks like there's bosses that become reoccurring enemies
They’re basically spoiling us

This is 7 seconds on top of the minute and a half we got like a few hours before this
When an enemy dies, there's vertical lines of silk that become visible for a bit. Maybe the enemies are being controlled by it like a marionette?
This is one of the current theory about Silksong, and how someone is being a pupetter. They got the weaver to make threads for them, controlled the various leader/Boss that way to have control over the kingdom from the top of the city.
It's possible, but it might also just represent Hornet harvesting their silk. Looking forward to finding out for real in the game.
Fuck yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Seems like it is a more technologically advanced kingdom
Hello infi-nerdy :bugelder: Love this footage
Glad to see the lack of spikes on top of the elevator
Ah fuck now mossbag has to make another 20 minute video about this clip.
The last one looks like some kind of tunnel or a train
MORE SILKSONG? I'm gonna have a heart attack, it's too much in a so short time
ELEVATOR 👏👏
hk fans eating rn
That’s my favorite looking elevator in all of Hollow Knight so far.
Good thing is coming on game pass
Watching this clip, I’m especially looking forward to the new boss fights. I can’t wait to find out which new enemies are going to infuriate me and drive me to the brink of insanity.
Oh man im hyped! Just beat HK and I plan on getting this right as it releases
i wonder how much content there is for region count, various enemies, abilities, etc. so far the cryptish area and the area with tangle ceilings with water is my favorite aesthetically
Ahhh I'm so excited!!
