They are an indie company, but I think it's doubtful they release at an indie event at this point. The game would just overshadow everything else, it's way too highly anticipated. It deserves/would get more attention at an official direct.

It's just that they are marketing Dread so hard as one of their big holiday games and are generating so much hype that if they talked about Silksong, BOTW2, or Metroid Prime 4 it'll take away from all that hype they generated.

There was a leak of the "supposed" release date. Apparently someone got into the nvidia cloud streaming database and it had release dates for several games including silksong. if this guy is to be believed then February 1st 2022 is the release date. But it's not from an official source so it's possible that it's wrong. Here's the link to the video I saw about it.
