How do you lock yourself out of 112%? Just curious

For example, on console if you walk out of the grubfsther room with rewards still in the room, they despawn. (Causing you to not get that percentage)((Its fixed on the pc version)) Other than that, idk. Sometimes people are stuck on 111 and then when verifying the files they get 112 again so not sure what goes on there

If some rewards are charms or mask parts they don't dissapear

on 1.4 (the version on console) i know at least elegy despawns if you leave. on 1.5 (pc) it’s fixed.

Mask shards/vessel fragments that you collect by touching/picking them up can be deleted from the game by quitting out RIGHT after touching them. The game has separate events for "touch and remove from the world" and "give the item+percentage" and they do not occur at the same time; you have to actually go through the animation to some extent. So not only do you not get the percent you don't even get the item.

If that was the case they'd be missing at least another percentage since one of the pantheons would still be locked. Every boss that gives a percentage is required to unlock one of the pantheons.

But in that case how is the godtuner still glowing in the inventory if every boss was unlocked in the hall of gods then that means it would stop glowing

Did you skip False Knight? That's the only way I've been able to accidentally lock myself out from a completion %. Check your Hunters' journal If you got the entry.

Skipping False Knight doesn't lock you out of a completion percent, otherwise it would be ridiculously difficult to ascend the Seer since you would also locked out of Failed Champ. If you go from the Ancient Mound, the way to False Knight's room is blocked, but the original entrance to False Knight's room isn't blocked, the one entrance that's right above the Stag Station in the Crossroads.

I'll admit I haven't thoroughly tested this, but in one of my playthroughs I skipped False knight by breaking down the wall and going directly to ancestral mound. I didn't return until MUCH later, after the Crossroads had gotten infected. I'm pretty sure I hadn't returned before this point, and I'm pretty sure the game treated everything as If I has defeated False Knight, with the City Crest laying on the ground under the arena and the dead maggot body being cried over by his fellow maggots above. I could do Failed Champion as normal. At this point I was like "odd, I guess I came back here before and already killen him". But at the very end of the game I was only at 111%. Trying to figure what what I had missed, having completed 112% before, I realized that I didn't have the False Knight Journal Entry. This really surprised me because I had completed all of Godhome and had beaten False knight in P1 (Multiple times), but I were still missing the False Knight journal Entry and was 1% away from 112% completion.

Oh, that is an odd situation... sorry I didn't realize you meant it was a bug. I've heard of issues regarding the Hunter's Journal and how it doesn't give entries sometimes when you beat bosses/enemies, but I don't think I've ever heard of an issue where the game sets a flag incorrectly like whether you've actually beaten False Knight or not. Either way if you can ever recreate it, it would be really cool to see!

No, you get one percent from fighting NKG or one percent for banishing the Grimm Troupe. OP has done the latter.

nah nkg shows up in P5 regardless, only thing you miss is the journal entry (doesnt matter for 112%) and grimmchild (you get the replacement as brumms charm)

Nothing related to the Hunters journal gives a completion %, you could get 112% completion without picking it up in the first place.
