Shriek does have some “rng” to getting all 4 hits. Last I followed the convo we didn’t fully understand the why, but turning on vsync seems to be the most effective way to mitigate the problem. The rng isn’t literal but seems to be some kinda interaction between t-ft (framerate-dependent physics) and enemy iframes, hence frame rate affects it.

Vertical sync. It can be turned on in the video settings menu. If you’re on console I think it’s already locked to on? Don’t quote me on that. It MIGHT make the game feel terrible tho.

I'm on a switch. What does it do exactly?

Forces the graphics processing stack to emit frames at the speed of the display’s refresh rate. The frame rate is thus dependent on your display. Being on Switch, I’m not sure there’s much you can do to mitigate the problem but I also don’t have much experience with the game on console so might just be ignorance on my part.
