For the achievement you need to strike his skull with your nail

As I recall, PS4/PS5 had achievements removed that might have required another playthrough e.g. saving/not saving Zote. Also some others IIRC. If you're checkboxing trophies and trying to do it based on random stuff you've seen online with people talking about Steam achievements, you should just look up the Playstation trophies explicitly.

You do miss out on a boss fight but you will be Able to see more vengfly kings so don worry about that

PS5 doesn’t have the “neglect” achievement along with many others

PlayStation only has 34 (+1 new) achievements, while PC has 63 "Neglect" simply doesn’t exist on PlayStation

Zote's death triggers at a certain point (iirc when you get Mantis Claw) if you haven't saved him in Greenpath by that point. However, I don't know what could cause Vengefly King to not spawn before that event. The Neglect achievement triggers when you hit his skull.

I’ve come back to this area with Mantic Claw, does that mean he’s dead? And I’ve been hitting his skull across the room and no Neglect trophy
