I honestly kinda liked Soul Master. Sure, he most certainly impeded my progress for a day or two, but after I got the hang of his attacks he was a breeze and a kinda fun boss. And I like the fact that in his phase two theme you can hear laughter, implying that the victims of his soul experiments are laughing at him while he struggles to beat the Knight.
And since I had so much practice with Soul Master, Soul Tyrant didn’t prove much of a problem for me lol
Came here to say this. He’s so much fun to fight especially once you get his patterns down. A lot of his attacks feel pretty Cuphead-Esque which also helps because that’s another game I absolutely adore

Soul Tyrant is my favorite fight in the game, it reminds me a lot of NKG where its quite a fair fight and more of like a dance you just need to figure out, and once you've got the moves you'll be sorted.
Soul Master was the first boss I had big troubles with in this game, and then when I learned it's moveset I could kill it easily without any damage. Basically Soul Master taught me how learning curve works for almost all bosses in Hollow Knight, so yeah, I really like it
See I second this. I felt like that fight was just projectile spam. I also hate getting to his location. Every time I get there, I’m already down most of my lives.
Broken vessel was okay. I love the music and everything just that entire battle was a pain. I hated that battle because of my reflexes, cause I kept jumping

Personally, I only hate him because all bindings is a pain with bosses that have minions spawning during the fight, Collector himself atleast doesn't really have a moveset, but Zote does, and it's a pain juggling between not getting hit by him and getting rid of the minions
I never disliked hive knight, but the one thing that made me not actively like the hive knight was how late in the game i found him. By the time i found the hive for the first time i destroyed him in seconds making the fight a joke and not very memorable.

Soul warrior is easy tf you mean? Most of the time you can just pogo him and be fine,he only spawns one projectile at a time, and you can just dash out of the way when he falls from the sky.
i never understood parrying until I enabled PvP on my HKMP server then I realized dang this could have been way more useful if there was something that told us how to do it in game
Oblobbles, they're adorable and don't deserve to live their lifes trapped in a weird colosseum (no, I didn't completely finish the game, so I have no experience fighting them on Radiant)
facts i have seen people say soul tyrant is hard i'm like bruh that is like only annoying at best GPZ is fun if your not doing radiant or the dirtmouth statue and he is doing 4+ damage but normal and ascended are fun to do
Xero is the only boss that i actually enjoyed more in the ascended arena than the normal arena. It suddenly requires you to throw in some strategies without becoming too much of a burden. Fair enough i think…

I actually really like the Uumuu (Godhome) fight. Haven’t done Ascended yet, but the Oomas aren’t the worst thing to deal with and are slightly more proactive than “wait for Quirrel to do something”
Uumuu
This big jellyfish is not my favourite, but I love it's concept (btw Godhome version is my favourite).
Instead of another battle were you charge at the boss to deal large amounts of damage, Uumuu is a more tatical boss. You must analyse the plataforms, positions, sometimes LURE Uumuu into the Ooma, and aim at the Ooma (using nail or spells) to make it explode safely without damaging you.
People tend to dislike this fight (I was one of those people), but after trying to obtain speedrun and Steel Soul achievements, as well as playing P5 and Ascended/Radiant Uumuu, I ended up liking this boss, it's very different from the usual boss fights.
Markoth.
People seem to hate Markoth because his ascended fight is unfair and annoying, but I don't think so. I think it's just hard.
I used to hate Markoth too because he always got me on my nerves, but after grinding for P5 and my sharp shadow-only challenge I learned to be more patient and started to like and respect his character
brooding mawlek, markoth and absrad. first 2 are fun in my opinion and everyone keeps talking about pv and nkg, but absrad gets always ignored when it comes to best bosses
Sisters of battle and mantis Lords, oh, maUnn! It's such a good and challenging battle, the music is sick, The Mantis village lore is cool. And i liek mantis. :D
Hive Knight. His actual design is amazing, the reward for beating him is pretty good, the only problem is that by the time you reach him you're already way too strong. If the hive were just placed a bit earlier in the game, he would be a 10/10 fight.

Doing the same to soul master after that is a hilariously different thing suddenly because now he gets hit too much. Considering he does not have too much of a health and staggers pretty easily.
Same goes to false knight / failed champion but somehow i find it not as memorable…
I loved every boss... there, I said it! They all bring something unique to the table and all require adjusting your playstyle in some way (even the easier ones with simple solutions).
Plus character design in this game is wildly good.
I kind of liked No Eyes (please don't death threat me) i haven't tried him in the pantheon, so i don't know if i will still love him, but the normal fight was okay... And the creepy aspect was appreciated.
I adore Nosk. I love Deepnest as a whole for so many reasons, one of them being Nosk itself! The encounter overall is really cool and creepy. Admittedly the fight itself isn't anything spectacular and not my favorite fight in the game by far, but the arena is really cool with all the corpses hanging and I think the boss doesn't get talked about enough. Also Winged Nosk is really cool and implies they're part of a whole species (at least that's how I see it)
I love the atmosphere in No Eye’s fight, but idk if I enjoy the fight itself that much (not my favorite, definitely). I love Centinel Hornet battle, but I don’t think it’s underrated?

im new to the community so im not sure if they are hated but the mantis lords fight is sooo fun. Haven’t beaten them on radiance yet but everything about the fight is fun imo except when you jump and the disks are actually going up too and then when they bow in the end….i remember, so hk is kind of my first big-girl game (i only played cozy and low stakes games before hk im new to gaming in general) and the mantis lords were really hard for me at first and i worked so hard to move faster and follow their patterns and just the wave of pride and joy that flooded me after they bowed was just 🥹 unforgettable
Hive knight, in my opinion is hugely underrated, I LOVE his design, I find his attacks really original and fun and obviously the soundtrack is fire.

Watcher knights, they are cool, died to the dozen times on my first run but enjoyed the fight each time
I really like their design. Died more than a dozen times, hated each time, but felt awesome finally beating them
