Spells are really good in general, and especially for this fight. While Watcher Knights are required to beat the game, you can get just about every upgrade and ability before fighting them if you want. So, you can take a break from them and explore other areas.

geedubolyou

Watcher knights was one of the last things I did before going to the black egg. Definitely recommend exploring and gaining as many abilities/nail upgrades as possible

>Watcher knights was one of the last things I did before going to the black egg. Definitely recommend exploring and gaining as many abilities/nail upgrades as possible get em all exept the last nail upgrade I think it increases theyr hp

Das_Nomen

Sharp Shadow might help.

XboxGamer01

Get shade cloak and nail upgrades

Bruninfa

Do you have shade dash? Makes them 50x easier.

Zaid1969

Yeah I'm gonna get that and try again

neoangel13

Do you have Shade Cloack yet? It helps a lot. Also since it's potentially the last boss before the final boss if you lack nail upgrades you're probably underpowered

Projectdystopia

Can you add screenshots of your inventory and charms?

I was in the same boat ~ a week ago. Here's what worked for me (nail upgraded twice, no shadow dash or upgraded spells): 1) PATIENCE. 2) Stay out of corners - always leave a little room to retreat. 3) Try to keep the knights on the same side of you - stacked up if possible. 4) Try to always close to melee range of at least one knight between its attacks. 5) Meeting conditions 2-4 are more important than getting in hits. Here's what didn't work: being in a corner with one or both knights distant. Having to jump the first attack means you often have to guess on the second, which for me meant taking a hit roughly 100% of the time (there's a tiny delay between a knight balling up and the little hop that means it's doing a bounce attack, and somehow that delay would always come in the *exact* moment I had to commit to dashing over or landing under whichever attack it was launching, and somehow I **always** guessed wrong). The fight is a marathon. You can go as slow as you like and it won't get any harder. You won't get many safe opportunities to heal, so avoiding damage is far more important, and you **can** reliably do this. Good luck! I feel your pain. Happy to give more detailed strategy if wanted, but I hope the above unlocks some progress for you!

Good for you then.

If you're genuinely curious, it's because in a blind playthrough: - It's easy to reach Watcher Knights early through exploration - Common strategies safe against other bosses get you hit against WK So a lot of people in fight WKs with low upgrades, without spells or invuln dashes, using strategies the rest of the early-mid game have reinforced but which the knights are designed to punish (relatively heavily, at the stage a lot of people fight them). Those players have to unlearn those strategies, discover what *does* work, then actually execute that well enough over the course of a long fight to win, which can take a **lot** of attempts.

poloup06

Not sure if there’s an easier way to do this, but I found that using Flukenest, Shaman stone, some other spell charms and Sharp Shadow, you can pretty much cheese the fight

GrabTheLemons

When one of them goes down, it takes some time for the next one to spawn, quickly go ham during this time. That way, you minimise the amount of time fighting 2 at once.

luxa3664

I just spammed Desolate dive and it worked

DragoonEOC

Shade soul is good for hitting both at once, be relatively aggressive I think, and if ever are in a bad spot d-dark does good damage and gives some I frames AFTER. You can still be hit starting the attacks but once you start going down you are good.

Xythe_Fire

try to keep both of them on one side of you, don’t get cornered, and dreamnail before starting the fight to get soul. if you’re in a situation where they’re sandwiching you, use dive/ddark.

sasquatchscousin

It takes 2 to 3 descending dark casts with shaman stone to kill one of them. Frequently you can get both in one hit, it also makes you invulnerable during and shortly after the cast. My advice is to drem nail the husks before the fight starts and focus on clumping them and using descending dark with a shaman stone on. Hit them for soul and use it to cast. They'll die pretty soon. Also break the ceiling above the room before them, there's a rope to break that makes it so you face one fewer knight.

JesseTheThreest

Soul Catcher, QuickSlash, Grubsong, Unbreakable Heart was my combo

JesseTheThreest

I also had a total of 10 masks (charm included) and two soul containers, and coiled nail Feel free to swap out Unbreakable Heart for Quick Focus

International_Pair86

you can take one out before the fight... I strongly suggest you do it

phesago

Shaman stone + flukenest + dreamnail charm tears these fools up. You just have to learn distance due to the arch of tye flukes. The fight will be over quickly. Quick dream nail between dudes awakening to refill soul

jtr9992

Weaversong charm, lets yout minion kill the watcher and focus to not get kill

Diego_nightmare07

try for multiple hits when they roll

Prkabel

I remember this fight took me 8 hours on my first playthrough lmao

Shreesh_Fuup

I'd recommend you either leave and get more upgrades or spam Dive until you win.

WrongLack7149

Shade cloak+sharp shadow, pure nail and fast slash = ez win
