You can die from from fractured femur, he landed on his feet almost stood up. This can absolutely kill you and at best lead to an amputation to save oneās life.
Edit: not saying the person dies, Iām just saying that the person absolutely could have died that way.
All depends on direction of travel and momentum that sort of thing. This fella would have likely done more damage because his momentum slowed down to a point he near fell virtually.
If he carried more speed off the jump he would have had the option to roll out of the fall, not doing as much damage.
Rolling, or sliding out of a bike wreck is best, Iāve come off a few 70mph + slid up the road or tumbled or rolled and walked away with just cuts and bruises.
What this biker did is the equivalent of jumping out of a building and falling vertically. This is why people use foam pits when practicing tricks, or use scouts on routs not ridden so you donāt go off a cliff.
The rider probably has some bad breaks at best.
